Thursday, Parshas Noach — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At around 9:20 the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered the Butchatch beis medrash for Shacharis, where the talmidim of the 9th grade mechina l'yeshiva of our holy mosdos in Monsey had the zechus to daven.
Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the following bar mitzvah bochurim.
The bochur Elimelech HaKohen Schwartz (Kiryas Joel).
The bochur Chaim Yeshaya Asher Mendlowitz (Williamsburg).
During the Torah reading the Rebbe was called up for Hagbah.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place in the hechal of the beis medrash. Several nigunim were sung, and the Rebbe delivered words of divrei kibbush and guidance for the start of the zman, to learn with enthusiasm and diligence. He also encouraged learning the meaning of the words of the Leshem Yichud said before putting on tefillin and of Ahavah Rabbah, and concluded with his holy blessings.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Mincha at around 6:50 and Maariv at around 7:15 in the Butchatch beis medrash.

After Maariv there was a brief yechidus in his private room, in which the chasanim who are getting married next week entered.
Afterward, the Rebbe read there the tenaim of the mechutanim HaGaon Rabbi Nosson Dov Schwartz shlit"a, a rav in our kehilla (Kiryas Joel), and R' Wolf Lichtenstein (Kiryas Joel). The Rebbe drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings.

Tuesday, Parshas Noach, Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At around 9:10 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for Shacharis in the Beis Medrash of Boyan. Before davening, the Rebbe put on tefillin for the following bar mitzvah bochurim.
The bochur Avrohom Mendel Wertheimer (Kiryas Joel).
The bochur Moshe Chaim Kahn (Boro Park).
The Rebbe shlit"a approached the amud for Hallel with deveikus and hislahavus as usual.
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe was called up as the fourth aliyah, and after davening a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the heichal of the beis medrash.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Mincha at around 5:00 in the Beis Medrash of Boyan, and after Mincha the Rebbe blessed and bade farewell to several of our community's chassanim from Eretz Yisroel, who were returning after spending the month of Tishrei, may it return for good, in the shadow of holiness.

After Mincha the Rebbe shlit"a traveled to Boro Park to the chuppah of the chassan Shalom Baruch, son of the esteemed Rabbi Asher Yeshaya Horowitz shlit"a, a grandson of the holy Rebbe, the Eitz Chaim zy"a, at the Ateres Chaya hall, and then immediately traveled back to Fashe.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Maariv at around 10:00 in the Beis Medrash of Boyan.

Sunday, Parshas Noach — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At around 9:15 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for Shacharis in the Beis Medrash of Boyan in Fashe. Before davening, the Rebbe put on tefillin for the following bar mitzvah bochurim.
The son of R' Yaakov Shalom Weiss shlit"a.
The bochur Wolf Palatchek (Williamsburg).
The bochur Mordechai Landau.
The bochur Yitzchak Eckstein.
After davening, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the private room.

In the afternoon hours, a gathering took place in his holy residence in Fashe together with the Governor, Mrs. Hochul, may she live, who is currently running for re-election. Present at the gathering were select askanim from the leadership and administration of Kiryas Joel, leaders of our holy kehilla in New York, and activists of the Chareidi community in New York.
At a special table sat the Governor, several members of her administration, together with the Rebbetzin, the righteous, tlit"a, and Mrs. Ashkenazi, may she live.

A series of topics that are currently on the agenda and the interests of Chareidi Jews throughout New York State were discussed, including a critical pointing out of the help of the Governor and her administration in the past, present, and future, including visitation rights in hospitals, chinuch and education in the mosdos haTorah, the Kiryas Joel water pipeline and more.

The Rebbe's words, from the depths of his pure heart, were translated for the Governor by Mrs. Ashkenazi, may she live.

The gathering is hoped, b'ezras Hashem, to bring the proper results on all matters, and the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a thanked her greatly for her heartfelt feelings and evident dedication for the benefit of the Chareidi community throughout New York State.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Bereishis, Shabbos Mevarchim Cheshvan — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, at a private setting in Warsaw, where the Rebbe is staying for rest and rejuvenation.

The Rebbe davened the Shabbos tefillos in his holy residence.

On Friday night at around 6:35, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis. HaGaon R' Menachem Binyon Warfman shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Buchach, davened before the amud. Kabbalas Shabbos: Rabbi Yaakov Nachman Warfman shlit"a (Williamsburg).

The Rebbe shlit"a conducted the tish in his holy residence.
Before the zemiros, a small number of the community's men entered for the minyan, and the Rebbe shlit"a honored them. Kol Mekadesh: Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik Warfman shlit"a (Kiryas Joel); Menucha V'Simcha: R' Yoel Amram Gruber.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah, connecting the end of the Torah to its beginning, and explained in the manner of a derush the sugya of whether an "asei d'rabim" (a positive commandment of the community) overrides a prohibition together with a positive commandment.

Stories and Anecdotes: This week the Rebbe shlit"a told over about the Holy Rozhin Rebbe zy"a, whose yahrzeit fell on Friday, 3 Cheshvan. Ka Ribon Olam: Rabbi Yoel Yisroel Wagshal shlit"a.

Fruit was served, and "Ba'yom Hashvi'i" was led by R' Yechezkel Heimlich. The tish ended at around 11:00.

On the Holy Day of Shabbos

The Rebbe shlit"a entered for Shacharis in his holy residence. Pesukei D'Zimra: R' Dovid Farkash; Shacharis of Shabbos: HaRav HaChasid R' Yehoshua Mendlowitz.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Mincha in his holy residence. The baal tefillah was R' Shlomo Menashe Glick; removing and returning the Torah: the bochur, son of Binyon Weinberger; Kohen: R' Shlomo Menashe Glick; Levi: the bochur, son of Chaim Nosson Heller; Shlishi: HaRav HaChasid R' Moshe Yitzchak Landau; Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a; Gelilah: the bochur Avrohom Dovid Warfman.

After Mincha, the Rebbe shlit"a washed for Shalosh Seudos in his holy residence. About ten minutes after the time, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Buchach beis medrash and continued with Shalosh Seudos.
The Rebbe shlit"a honored others with the zemiros at Shalosh Seudos. Odeh: HaRav HaGaon R' Yaakov Yosef Moskowitz shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Baranov; Shir HaMaalos: Rabbi Naftali Horowitz shlit"a (London).

In the Torah, the Rebbe shlit"a focused on the verse "Bereishis bara Elokim" and explained that "Bereishis" is "bris esh" — the Torah is fire, as in "Halo ko devari ka'esh." Fire has great power, and the holy Torah has great power. Jewish children throughout the generations in exile faced powerful trials, and with the strength of the Torah they overcame everything. Now, after the holy days, when we accepted good resolutions, we must bring them from potential into action and draw the vitality of holiness from the Torah.
