Monday, Parshas Chayei Sarah — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, the brissim took place.
For the newborn son of R' Zalman Leib Friedman, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
For the newborn son of R' Yuda Landau, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal of the Mesivta, Sniff Divrei Yoel. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Mordechai Schor (of Williamsburg).
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went to hagbah, and after davening he delivered the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 14, verse 5. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.

At around 12:45 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the Talmud Torah building in Wiedervelt-Polachek for the ceremony marking the 'start of learning Gemara' for the hundreds of fourth-grade talmidim from all four branches. The children sang several niggunim and recited rhymes in honor of the occasion. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and gave shirayim to the melamdim to distribute to the children. The children then began learning Gemara, the fourth perek of Maseches Berachos, and the Rebbe addressed the children with words of blessing. As the Rebbe left, the children accompanied him with song, singing 'Ki Malachav,' on the occasion of the Rebbe's departure for the uplifting visit to our holy kehilla in Montreal.

In the afternoon the Rebbe went up to the Heichal of the Yeshiva, Sniff Divrei Yoel, where he learned with a chavrusa from among the yeshiva's talmidim in his private room, and at 5:10 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim:
R' Yosef Moshe Ungar (Monsey) – R' Moshe Eliezer Katz, at Kinor David hall.
R' Dovid Yoel Reich – R' Yoel Landau, at Beis Rachel Paradise hall.

Entry hours for yechidus were from 8:00 until 10:30 at night, at the Rebbe's home in Uhel Court.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim at the tenaim hall in his home for the mechutanim R' Shlomo Gavriel Seba (of Williamsburg) – R' Moshe Kwan.

At around 10:45 the Rebbe davened Maariv. After Maariv the Rebbe went over to the Sheva Brachos celebration of a grandson of the Spinka Beis Yitzchak Rebbe shlit"a, held in Kiryas Joel. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and offered blessings, a pleasant conversation ensued, and the Rebbe joined a mitzvah dance with the chassan, the mechutanim and the grandfathers.

Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a traveled to Boro Park to preside at the wedding celebration of a granddaughter of the Beirach Moshe zy"a. The kallah is the daughter of HaRav HaGaon R' Avrohom Meir Halberstam shlit"a, Rav of our beis medrash at 18 Bay Street in Boro Park, and the chassan is the son of the HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of our kehilla in Boro Park at 15, shlit"a, at the Ateres Chaya halls in Boro Park.
The Rebbe arrived at around 12:45, drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings. HaGaon R' Shimon Shmuel Halberstam shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Divrei Moshe Yerushalayim, was honored with leading Birkas Hamazon, and the Rebbe recited the Sheva Brachos.
After bentching, R' Shmuel Kraus shlit"a called up the Rebbe shlit"a to the mitzvah tanz, and the Rebbe danced the holy dance before the kallah for an extended time with fiery enthusiasm, and then danced with the chassan and mechutanim, and broke into an extra-lively dance with his brother, the HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of our kehilla in Boro Park at 15, shlit"a. After the dancing, the Rebbe shlit"a waited until after the mitzvah tanz of his brother, the Rav of our kehilla in Boro Park at 15, shlit"a. On his way out he wished the kallah mazel tov as is customary, and returned to his home in Kiryas Joel.
