On the Night of Joy

On Motzei Shabbos the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a went to the Sheva Brachos of the daughter of R' Shalom Yitzchak Weinberger in his home in Kiryas Joel, where a signing of documents took place for a classroom that he purchased in our holy mosdos in Monsey. The Rebbe signed the documents together with the donor, drank a lechayim, and bestowed from his holy blessings.

At around 11:10 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived in Boro Park at the Ateres Chaya halls for the annual dinner "Vezakeni L'gadel" for the benefit of our holy mosdos in Boro Park. After the masterful address of the director of the mosdos, R' Aharon Weltz, the Rebbe delivered holy words on the topic of chinuch and guidance.
At the conclusion of his words, the Rebbe roused the public regarding the matter of the kashrus of mezuzos, and in doing so showed the public several invalid mezuzos whose invalidity can hardly be recognized, and called on the members of our community to buy mezuzos only from Chassidish sofrim. After the holy words, the Rebbe drank a lechayim and gave a holy blessing to the entire public. It ended at around 12:10.

After the dinner the Rebbe shlit"a went to the Sheva Brachos simcha at his mechutan HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Yosef Friedman shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Berzhan, in his beis medrash in Boro Park. The Rebbe drank a lechayim, bestowed from his holy blessings, and went out and danced with the chosson and the mechutanim.

From there the Rebbe shlit"a went to the Sheva Brachos simcha of the chosson, son of HaGaon Rabbi Avrohom Boruch Singer shlit"a, Av Beis Din and Rosh Mesivta of Alexander, with the kallah, daughter of HaGaon R' Yisroel Leifer shlit"a, a rebbi in our yeshiva Be'er HaTorah in Williamsburg. The Rebbe drank a lechayim, bestowed from his holy blessings, and went out and danced with the chosson and the mechutanim.

Afterwards, at around 1:00, the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at our beis medrash on 10th Ave. in Boro Park, where the affixing of the mezuzah and the signing of documents took place for the new wing "Heichal Tefilla L'Dovid," a donation of the family of R' Dovid Rosenberg a"h. The Rebbe affixed the mezuzah, and then a lechayim gathering took place in the new wing. The Rebbe signed the documents together with the family members, and the Rebbe drank a lechayim and bestowed from his holy blessings upon the family members and all those involved. At about 1:30 the Rebbe traveled back to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Vayeira 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.

On Erev Shabbos afternoon the Rebbe shlit"a placed the shtreimel on the chassan Shlomo, the bochur, son of Eli Mordechai Brach.

On Friday night at around 5:10 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and went up to daven Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Moshe Wachs (Boro Park).

After davening, an appeal took place for Mosdos Darchei Shmuel in Achiasmach of the holy city. Davening ended at around 6:40. The crowd went over to say "Gut Shabbos," and the Rebbe shlit"a went home to his holy residence.

At around 8:35 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Friday night seudah in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidei hamesivta, and began, as is his holy way, "Shalom Aleichem" with emotion and sweetness.

In his Torah, the Rebbe shlit"a focused on the verse "Vayeitzei Yaakov MiBe'er Sheva," and explained that when a person is engaged in the ways of this world and earns money, he needs tremendous siyata dishmaya so that the money should not, Heaven forbid, make him materialistic, but rather, on the contrary, that he should be able to elevate himself to a higher level.

Thursday, Parshas Vayeira 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning before Shacharis, the following brissim took place:
For the son born to R' Yitzchak Teitelbaum, at which the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
For the son born to R' Shneur Zalman Goldman, at which the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Lipa Spitzer.

During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for hagbah. After davening, he reviewed the weekly shiur on the sugya in the weekly shiurim, and afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in his private room.

After davening, the Rebbe shlit"a comforted the mourner HaRav HaChasid R' Yitzchak Yuda Heiman on the passing of his mother a"h.

In the afternoon at around 5:00, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

A pleasant conversation developed, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessings and gave a gift of his sefer Lev Aharon on Bereishis, Derushim.

Wednesday, Parshas Vayeitzei — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Yoel Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

In the afternoon hours, the Rebbe shlit"a paid a shiva call to the family of R' Chaim Leib Weiss a"h.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the Heichal HaYeshiva, Divrei Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room, and at around 5:00 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim.

It will be brought in this coming Sunday, Parshas Vayishlach, at the Beis Medrash HaGadol in Monsey, with the participation of the Rebbe shlit"a. A warm conversation took place on the subject of sofrus; the Rebbe wrote in letters, drank a lechayim, and warmly wished the Rav shlit"a and the leaders and askanim of our holy kehilla well.

Tuesday, Parshas Vayeitzei

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal of the Yeshiva Gedolah, the fourth minyan. After davening, the Rebbe recited the daily Tehillim portion, on chapter 15, verse 1, with words of guidance and chizuk for the bochurim.

In the afternoon the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the Heichal HaYeshiva, Yoel Moshe branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room. At around 5:00 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

At around 6:10 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived in Monsey for the "Pouring of the Foundations" ceremony at the beis medrash "Eitz Chaim Sighet," headed by HaRav HaTzaddik R' Aharon Teitelbaum shlit"a, son of the HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of our kehilla in Boro Park, shlit"a. The Rebbe poured the foundations and also honored the other rabbonim shlit"a with pouring. Afterwards a lechayim gathering took place in the hall of the beis medrash, with niggunim sung in honor of the occasion, and the Rav of the beis medrash shlit"a spoke. The Rebbe shlit"a then signed the documents together with R' Menachem Liebermann, who purchased the naming rights of the mikvah, and who was warmly blessed by the Rebbe.
The Rebbe shlit"a drank lechayim and extended good wishes to his brother, the HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of our kehilla in Boro Park shlit"a, to the Rav of the beis medrash shlit"a, and to the entire public. He delivered words of Torah on the importance of going to the mikvah every day, and related several stories from the Kedushas Yom Tov zy"a about the importance of a mikvah, and concluded with his blessings. The event ended at around 6:40.

After the ceremony the Rebbe shlit"a traveled back to Williamsburg for the weekly yechidus hours.
The yechidus hours inside the Kodesh were from about 8:00 until 11:45 at night, at his holy residence on Hewes St.
The Rebbe shlit"a davened Maariv at around 11:00, and then continued receiving the public.

After the yechidus hours, the Rebbe traveled to Boro Park and participated in Shabbos attire at the wedding of the kallah, daughter of the distinguished R' Meir Yosef Laufer shlit"a, to the chasan, R' Yaakov Horowitz, a descendant of the Rebbe, the Eitz Chaim zy"a, in the Eminence halls. The Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the chasan, the mechutanim and the grandfathers well, and then danced the mitzvah dance before the kallah and with the chasan and mechutanim. On the way out, the Rebbe offered blessings to the kallah.
From there the Rebbe traveled home to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Divrei Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Chaim Yechezkel Shraga Perl.
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe was called up for shlishi, and after davening he recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 14, verse 6.
Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the Heichal HaYeshiva, Beirach Moshe branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room, and at around 5:00 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim: R' Shraga Feish Herzog and R' Chaim Nosson Weinstock, at Kinor David hall.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the Heichal HaYeshiva, Divrei Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room, and at around 5:00 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

Motzei Yom Gila

After Havdalah, a group of bochurim, talmidim of the Beis Medrash Gadol of Bobov 45 from Boro Park, who had spent Shabbos with the Rebbe, entered the Rebbe's holy home for a private audience. The Rebbe asked them about their learning, gave a talk of guidance, and bestowed his holy blessings.

Afterwards, a group of bochurim, talmidim of the Yeshiva Ketana of Bobov from Boro Park, who had spent Shabbos with the Rebbe, entered for a private audience. The Rebbe asked them about their learning and bestowed his holy blessings, and the bochurim then went over to take their leave.

Afterwards, a group of bochurim who had helped out at the gatherings with the Rebbe during the month of Tishrei 5786 entered together with R' Dovid Eckstein of Eretz Yisroel. The Rebbe distributed a gift to the bochurim and bestowed his holy blessings.

At around 9:30, the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the home of R' Chaim Tager, where a signing of contracts took place, as R' Chaim purchased a share in the new guest house building being built in the ancestral city of Sighet. A pleasant conversation developed about various cities in Hungary and Romania, and about the Rebbe shlit"a's travels in Europe. The Rebbe signed the contracts together with the donor, drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings.

At around 10:15, the Rebbe arrived in Monsey at the home of the distinguished philanthropist R' Wolf Landau, where a signing of contracts took place for the two classrooms that R' Wolf purchased in our holy institutions in Monsey, in the new Talmud Torah building and in the new Bais Rochel building. HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din of Monsey shlit"a, was also present. The Rebbe signed the contracts together with the donor, drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings.

Afterwards, at around 10:50, the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the home of the distinguished philanthropist R' Yoel Spitzer, where a lavish banquet took place with prominent supporters who purchased classrooms in the new institution buildings in Monsey; on Motzei Shabbos alone, 17 classrooms were purchased, without an evil eye.
The gathering was opened by HaRav Dovid Shlomo Laub shlit"a, a maggid shiur in our holy kehilla in Monsey, after which HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din of Monsey shlit"a, spoke. During the gathering, fitting melodies were sung in honor of the occasion.
The Rebbe shlit"a drank a lechayim, warmly bestowed his holy blessings, and delivered words of Torah and blessing about the importance of purchasing a classroom and its tremendous benefits in this world and the next, and concluded with his holy blessing.

Afterwards, the Rebbe shlit"a entered a side room where all the donors entered separately for a private audience. The Rebbe signed the contracts together with the donors and bestowed his holy blessings.

At around 12:05, the Rebbe left Monsey on the way home to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.
