On Motzei Shabbos the grand annual 'LaNetzach' dinner took place for the benefit of Mosdos Kiryas Joel, with its 11,500 talmidim and talmidos, may they continue to multiply, in the gigantic 'Beis Rachel Auditorium', with the participation of thousands of residents of Kiryas Joel, headed by the rabbanim and dayanim of the city, and first and foremost the Mara D'Asra Kadisha and Nasi of the holy mosdos, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.

At the opening of the event, the devoted administrator, R' Shlomo Zalman Weiss, and the Rosh HaMenahalim, HaGaon R' Boruch Shlomo Weinberger shlit"a, spoke. Afterwards, very rich questions and answers on matters of chinuch were heard through HaGaon R' Yochanan Zenvirt shlit"a, posed by the chairman of the event, R' Meir Mordechai Berkowitz.
Throughout the event, the renowned choir provided enjoyment with singing and accompaniment of the wonderful chazan R' Shlomo Zalman Horowitz.

At about 10:50 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the dinner. Joyous melodies were sung in honor of the simcha in our holy courts and on the occasion of the Yom HaHatzalah, 21 Kislev, and the Rebbe danced in place for several minutes.

Afterwards, the chairman of the event called upon the spokesman of the mosdos, R' Meir Hirsch, director of the mosdos, who gave a report on the material state and the incredible budget of the holy mosdos, and highlighted the dramatic expansion of the borders of holiness of 'Mosdos Kiryas Joel': last year the new 'Yeshiva building, Binyan Kepetch' was renovated, and in recent weeks they have already moved into two floors of the mighty fortress, the Talmud Torah building, 'Binyan Klein', which will be completely renovated in the coming months.
R' Meir then announced that preparations are already underway to build two more mighty buildings: the huge new Beis Rachel building on Drabitsh, where construction work has already begun and which will have a magnificent, affordable wedding hall, and likewise preparations are underway for construction of the new huge Talmud Torah building on Getzil Berger's property. These two buildings alone will cost the fantastic sum of over eighty million dollars! He then read out the names of the distinguished donors who contributed larger sums for the benefit of the mosdos.

Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a delivered words of holiness and words addressing the needs of the hour, and after the divrei Torah he spoke at length about the matter of 'Beis Rachel' and the strong efforts of the holy Rebbe, the Divrei Yoel zy"a, for the chinuch of girls in every place. He spoke in praise of 'Mosdos Kiryas Joel' and stated: 'In the mosdos there learn over eleven thousand children, may they multiply. This is the largest network of chinuch institutions in the entire world, both in quantity and in quality. It has no equal in the whole world, both in the chinuch of boys and the chinuch of girls. People come from other places to Kiryas Joel to ask how it is accomplished; people come to learn from Kiryas Joel.' He mentioned the tremendous expansion of the borders of holiness with the start of renovating the huge Talmud Torah building, 'Binyan Klein', and spoke of the great overcrowding in Beis Rachel. Construction of the new huge Beis Rachel building will begin soon, and it will be the largest chinuch building, with as many as 75 classrooms. The Rebbe took upon himself to be the first, like Nachshon, by purchasing a classroom in the building, and asked the community to become partners in building the building by purchasing classrooms.

Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a once again aroused the public regarding the matter of the kashrus of mezuzos, and in doing so showed the public several invalid mezuzos whose invalidity is almost impossible to recognize. He urged the community to buy mezuzos only from local sofrim, and then concluded with abundant blessings for the administration, the donors and the entire community.

After the Rebbe's address, R' Shlomo Zalman Weiss, the administrator, announced the names of several generous donors who had just come forward to join as partners with the Rebbe shlit"a and purchase a classroom in the new Beis Rachel building, and announced that the building will, b'ezras Hashem, be ready in 18 months to 2 years.

Afterwards, R' Nachman Levy performed with words of badchanus on the occasion of a chosson-kallah simcha. Then the Rebbe drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessing upon the entire community.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Vayishlach — Shabbos Sheva Berachos in Our Holy Courts; the Kallah, Daughter of HaGaon Rabbi Rav of Beis Medrash Beis Boruch shlit"a; 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Erev Shabbos afternoon, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a placed the shtreimel on the chassan, the bochur Shlomo Menashe, son of Avrohom Yuda Lebovitch.

The Rebbe shlit"a left his holy residence together with the chassan and the mechutanim on the way to the beis medrash, and they were accompanied with song and music. At around 5:05 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Beis Medrash HaGadol, wrapped in his tallis, and approached the amud for Mincha.

After Mincha, R' Eliyahu Shlomo Kohn shlit"a, director of Beis Rochel, spoke in advance of the 'Lanetzach' dinner for the benefit of 'Mosdos Kiryas Yoel,' which took place on Motzei Shabbos.

Kabbalas Shabbos: HaGaon HaKadosh Av Beis Din of Bertsh shlit"a. Davening ended at around 6:35. The crowd went over to wish a gut Shabbos, and the Rebbe shlit"a returned to his holy residence.

At around 9:40 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Beis Medrash HaGadol for the Shabbos seudah and began, as is his holy custom, 'Shalom Aleichem' with feeling and melody.

Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the bochur Yechezkel Shraga, son of HaGaon Rabbi Rav of Beis Medrash Beis Boruch shlit"a. Raising the cup for Kiddush: HaGaon Av Beis Din of Bertsh shlit"a.

During the zemiros, the Rebbe shlit"a honored the children of the mechutan, the Av Beis Din of Bertsh shlit"a. Kol Mekadesh: R' Meir Yosef Eichenstein shlit"a. Menucha V'Simcha: R' Dovid Eichenstein shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Yesh li rav achi, yehi lecha asher lecha," and explained, in the manner of pilpul and drush, the sugya of chadash.

Afterwards R' Shmuel Kraus shlit"a called up the Rebbe shlit"a for the mitzvah tantz, and the Rebbe shlit"a performed the dancing before the kallah with holy fire and danced with the chassan. He honored the grandfathers to dance: HaGaon Rav of our kehilla in Boro Park shlit"a, the Gorlitz Rebbe shlit"a, HaGaon Av Beis Din of Bertsh shlit"a, and then the two mechutanim, the father of the chassan and the father of the kallah shlit"a, together.

Az Beyom HaShevi'i: R' Meir Yehosef Rottenberg shlit"a, and the Rebbe danced a dance in the middle of the beis medrash. They concluded at around 12:50.

On the holy day of Shabbos

On Shabbos Kodesh morning the Rebbe shlit"a entered at approximately 9:20. Reciting the berachos: R' Avrohom Moshe Falkowitz. Pesukei D'Zimra: R' Elazar Eichenstein shlit"a (Boro Park). The Rebbe shlit"a approached the amud for Shacharis.

In his Torah, the Rebbe shlit"a took the verse "Im Lavan garti" and explained that with every mitzvah a Jew performs, he sanctifies a limb with which he fulfills the mitzvah. But the mitzvah of tefillin, where the tefillin shel yad sanctifies the heart and the tefillin shel rosh sanctifies the mind, and since these are the organs on which the neshama depends, the kedusha spreads throughout the entire person, and he sanctifies the whole person; he can hear the bas kol and be drawn close to kedusha.

On the Motzei of the Day of Joy

On Motzei Shabbos at around 8:55, the Rebbe's mechutan, the Gorlitz Rebbe shlit"a, paid a visit to the Rebbe shlit"a in his holy chamber. A pleasant conversation took place, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him from his holy blessings.

Thursday, Parshas Vayishlach — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. During the Torah reading, the Rebbe was called up as shlishi, and after davening he reviewed the weekly shiur on the sugya in the yeshiva shiurim.

In the afternoon at around 5:00, the Rebbe shlit"a davened Mincha in his holy home.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim.

Afterwards, at around 10:00, the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the halls of Keren V'Yoel Moshe for the "Kinus HaLomdim" gathering of the Torascha Sha'ashuai chaburos in honor of the siyum on Maseches Zevachim, arranged by the Mifal Kvias Itim LaTorah. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and delivered holy words and a blessing.

At around 10:20 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at Beis Medrash Beis Baruch for the central Sheva Brachos celebration in our holy courts, arranged by the mispallelim of the beis medrash in honor of the Rebbe shlit"a and his beloved son, HaGaon Rabbi, the Rav of the beis medrash shlit"a. Entertaining with words of humor were R' Herschel Friedman together with R' Yosef Chaim Rottenstreich, and with chazzanus selections, R' Shlomo Zalman Horowitz, one of the prominent mispallelim of the beis medrash, brought joy.
The Rebbe shlit"a drank a lechayim and delivered holy words regarding the simcha of chasan and kallah, concluding with his holy blessing for the chasan, for his son HaGaon Rabbi, the Rav of the beis medrash shlit"a, for all the mechutanim and for the entire assembly.
Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a rose and danced for an extended time.

For Birkas Hamazon the Rebbe honored his mechutan, HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of Bertsch shlit"a. For the first brachos: the mechutan, his son HaGaon Rabbi, the Rav of the beis medrash shlit"a; for the final bracha: the mechutan, father of the chasan, R' Yoel Teitelbaum shlit"a. It concluded at around 11:15.

After the Sheva Brachos, the Rebbe went to visit his mechutan, HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of Bertsch shlit"a, in his holy home. A pleasant, lengthy conversation took place; the Bertsch Rav shlit"a gave the Rebbe a sefer Eteres Yitzchak, and the Rebbe thanked him and bestowed his holy blessings.
Afterwards, at around 11:40, the Rebbe davened Maariv.
