Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Vayechi — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.

On Erev Shabbos afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a placed the shtreimel on the chasanim.

On Friday evening at around 5:20, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha.
After Mincha, HaGaon R' Leibish Weinfeld shlit"a spoke on behalf of the DOS campaign of our holy kehilla. Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Chaim Binyomin Kahana shlit"a of Spinka, Kiryas Joel.

Davening concluded at around 7:00. The crowd went over to wish a gut Shabbos, and the Rebbe shlit"a went home to his holy residence.

The Rebbe did not recite the Zohar for Leil Shabbos Kodesh before the seudah. At around 8:30 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for the Friday night seudah in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidei hamesivta, and began, as is his holy custom, "Shalom Aleichem" with feeling and sweetness.

Before the fish course, the Rebbe placed a knife on the challah.
The Rebbe shlit"a began the divrei Torah on the verse "V'shamru Bnei Yisroel es haShabbos," and spoke at length for nearly an hour about current matters: "Tonight is called Nittel Nacht, when great impurity descended upon the world. It is the Jewish custom not to learn Torah, and tzaddikim said that if one learns, it gives strength to the impurity. The sages in the time of that man worked to move the day of rest from Shabbos to Sunday so that we would not be mixed in with them. Since this year it falls on Shabbos, let us proclaim that we do not believe in that man. On the contrary, Shabbos is the name of the Holy One, blessed be He. We believe only in the one Creator and in the words of our Sages, of blessed memory." He spoke at great length about the day of Nittel, the old calendar and the new one that follows the movement of the sun, the falsehood of their idolatry, and the dark history of that klipah, which murdered millions of precious Jewish souls over the years, and the impurity that continues to this day until the promise will be fulfilled, "And I will cleanse their blood that I have not yet cleansed," for the spilled Jewish blood.

At the Torah, the Rebbe shlit"a spoke on the verse "Vayikra Yaakov el banav vayomer he'asfu," and explained that the Arizal revealed that these days of these parshiyos are auspicious for repenting and rectifying one's actions in matters of kedusha. The forces of impurity are so great that it is impossible for flesh and blood to battle an angel; only with the power of kedusha of Yaakov Avinu, which passed to his children. But if one pursues the desires of this world, he loses his connection with Yaakov Avinu. The remedy is to go to the mikvah for the sake of purity, which is alluded to in the holy name Yud-Beis-Kuf, and to engage in Torah, which has seventy facets, which together form the name of Yaakov Avinu, and one gains the strength of kedusha to overcome the forces of impurity.

Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the Chaim Yitzchak Markowitz room in the Beis Medrash HaGadol, where the chaburos on Hilchos Shabbos for Erev Shabbos and Motzei Shabbos were sitting, and looked over their learning with great nachas. Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a was accompanied out with song, "Ki Malachav Yetzaveh Lach," on his departure to Palm Springs, California, for rest and recuperation. It concluded at around 7:50.

Friday, Parshas Vayechi — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, before Shacharis, the bris of the newborn son of R' Yitzchak Epstein took place, with the Rebbe serving as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis together with the talmidim of Yeshiva Gedolah Osek HaTorah of Monsey, in the Maharsha beis medrash of our holy kehilla. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the following bar mitzvah bochurim:
The bochur Yisroel Landau.
The bochur Yoel Bar"i Spielman.
The bochur Berel Margulies.

After davening, the Rebbe shlit"a delivered a shiur in one of the yeshiva's shiurim on Maseches Pesachim, and at its conclusion the Rebbe left the bochurim with a question, before departing for a rest to Palm Springs, California, today, Sunday.
Afterwards, a lechayim gathering took place, at which the Rebbe spoke with the bochurim about several questions regarding the laws of Nittel and the customs of Kiddush Levana. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and gave blessings to the bar mitzvah bochurim and to all the talmidim of the yeshiva.

Thursday, Parshas Vayechi — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Yosef Zwibel, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Birach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the following bar mitzvah bochurim:
The bochur Berl Zabel.
The bochur Yeshaya Greenfeld (Williamsburg).
The bochur Yekusiel Yitzchak Frankel (Williamsburg).
The bochur Asaf Wahlberg (Boro Park).
During the Torah reading the Rebbe went up for hagbah, and after davening he delivered the weekly shiur on the sugya in the yeshiva's shiurim, leaving the bochurim with a question on the sugya before departing for Palm Springs, California, to pray at a resting place of the departed, today, Sunday, Parshas Shemos. Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

At around 1:30 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at our great beis medrash "Beis Shmuel" in the Bloomingrove neighborhood, for the ceremony of pouring the foundations for the new mikvah.
First the Rebbe entered the main hall of the beis medrash, accompanied by HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Halberstam shlit"a, rav of our kehilla in Bloomingrove, and R' Yitzchak Eckstein, one of the leading askanim of Bloomingrove and our holy kehilla, where the Rebbe reviewed the expansion of the sacred space in the new hall of the beis medrash.
Then the Rebbe went down and returned to the new mikvah and poured the foundations, and afterwards honored the HaGaon, rav of our kehilla in Bloomingrove shlit"a, and the HaGaon, rav of the Avnei Tzedek beis medrash shlit"a, chairman of the Committee for Mikvah Affairs under the Beis Horaah of Kiryas Joel, the local rabbonim, the mikvah's donors, the askanim and the residents of the neighborhood. Afterwards a lechayim gathering took place in the hall of the beis medrash, at which the HaGaon, rav of our kehilla in Bloomingrove shlit"a spoke. The Rebbe drank lechayim and blessed the entire gathering, and then delivered holy words about the importance of building a mikvah, concluding with a blessing. It ended at around 2:05.
Then the Rebbe traveled to the Dallas area, where the leadership of our holy kehilla purchased a plot on which a new beis medrash will be built for the area.

At around 5:20 the Rebbe shlit"a davened Mincha in his home.

At around 7:00 the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the halls of Keren V'Yoel Moshe, where the Leil HaSTa"M event took place, for the first time a "Great Gathering for All Matters of STa"M" arranged by the Committee for STa"M Matters under the Beis Horaah. The Rebbe toured with HaRav R' Wolf Aharon Teller shlit"a, director of Mivtzar HaKollelim, who led the event, and looked around at all the exhibits for an extended time, among them the display of mezuzos written by nearly 50 expert Kiryas Joel sofrim, leather processing, invalid mezuzos, ordering mezuzos, checking of tefillin and mezuzos, and more. The Rebbe spoke with the rabbonim, sofrim and askanim, showed several invalid mezuzos, and bestowed his holy blessings.

From there at around 7:30 the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the Beis Rochel building, Binyan Hirsch, G.B. Landau, where the diligent learners of "Ratz LaMishna" learn. The Rebbe walked among the tables, observed the learning with great satisfaction, and bestowed his holy blessings.

Yechidus hours were from around 7:45 until 1:30 at night, in the Rebbe's home on Ohel Court.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim in the tenaim hall in his home for the mechutanim R' Lipa Samet shlit"a and R' Yoel Shmaya.

During the yechidus hours, over a hundred kollel avreichim entered a private audience and presented the Rebbe shlit"a with larger donations for the mikvah taharah in Kiryas Joel that is now being rebuilt, in response to the holy call of the Rebbe last week during his visit to Heichal Mivtzar HaKollelim.

Also entering a private audience was the leadership of our holy kehilla in Bloomingrove, headed by the HaGaon, rav of our kehilla in Bloomingrove shlit"a, together with the heads of our holy kehilla and the members of the Kiryas Joel neighborhood committees, on the occasion of the purchase of a huge plot for our new beis medrash in the Dallas neighborhood in Bloomingrove. They asked about various plans and options, and the Rebbe spoke words of chizuk and guidance to our chassidim, residents of Bloomingrove, and bestowed his holy blessings.
The Rebbe shlit"a davened Maariv at around 11:40, and afterwards continued receiving the public.
After the yechidus hours, at 1:30, the askanim of the Tzedek organization entered a private audience, headed by the askan R' Moshe Margreten, and presented a report on the full range of activities for the benefit of our brethren living in darkness and the shadow of death. They asked the Rebbe's holy opinion on various matters, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessings.

During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for Hagbah.

At around 5:00 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home, and during the Torah reading he was called up for Shlishi - Maftir. At around 5:45 the Rebbe davened Maariv.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a traveled into Williamsburg for the weekly yechidus hours.
The yechidus hours took place from around 9:00 until 12:30 at night in his holy home on Hooper St.

During the yechidus hours, his grandson HaRav R' Dovid Teitelbaum shlit"a, son of the HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Sighet shlit"a, entered together with his family on the occasion of the chalaka celebration of his son, may he live long.
A lechayim celebration also took place on the occasion of the engagement of the mechutanim, R' Yitzchak Zev Filaf and R' Simcha Pinchas Friedman. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings.

Monday, Parshas Vayechi — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Mesivta Heichal, Divrei Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the following bar mitzvah bochurim:
The bochur Moshe Menachem Zev Dromer (Monsey).
The bochur Menachem Yaakov Klein (Monsey).
During the Torah reading the Rebbe went up for hagbah. After davening, he recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 16, verse 8. Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

In the morning hours the Rebbe shlit"a made his weekly visit to the mehudar slaughterhouse.

In the afternoon the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the Yeshiva Heichal, Divrei Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the yeshiva students in his private room. At 5:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

Motzei Shabbos, Parshas Vayigash — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

After Havdalah, the bochurim zemirim who lead the niggunim every Shabbos at the pure tish of the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Rebbe's holy home in Kiryas Joel. The Rebbe distributed coins and warmly wished them well.
The Rebbe then distributed coins to the bochurim who helped throughout the days of Chanukah at the candle-lighting gatherings b'tzeil hakodesh.

At around 10:45 the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the home of R' Shaul Friedman, one of the leaders of our holy kehilla in Boro Park, where a signing of pledges took place for the benefit of the new mikvah. After the pledges were signed, the Rebbe drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings.

At around 11:15 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the halls of Beis Rachel Paradise for the 'Melaveh Malkah and Chizuk Gathering' for all the rebbeim of the Mesivta. HaGaon Rabbi Yechezkel Weiss shlit"a continued with a address, and afterwards HaGaon Rabbi Simcha Shalom Steinberger shlit"a, rav of the Divrei Chaim beis medrash and rebbe in the Mesivta, spoke.
The Rebbe shlit"a drank a lechayim and wished the entire assembly well, and delivered a longer holy address and guidance to the maggidei shiur, concluding with his holy blessing. It ended at around 12:45.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Mesivta Heichal, Kedushas Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the following bar mitzvah bochurim:

At Kiddush in his holy home, joyous songs were sung in honor of the simcha of the Kiddusha Rabba of the Rebbe's granddaughter, a newborn daughter born to HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din of Sighet shlit"a. The Kiddusha Rabba simcha took place in the Eitz Chaim Sighet beis medrash in Williamsburg, with the participation of a large crowd from members of our Williamsburg kehilla. She was named Hinda in the name of the Rebbetzin of Kiviashd a"h.

For Mincha and Shalosh Seudos, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash at around 5:15. Mincha: Rabbi Chaim Elisha Grossman; Hotza'ah and Hachnasah: R' Moshe Elye Rubin; Kohen: R' Yoel Pollak; Levi: R' Moshe Wertzberger (Montreal); Shlishi: R' Aharon Shaul Sandel; Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a; Gelilah: R' Yisroel Bleier.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with the zemiros at Shalosh Seudos. Odeh: R' Noach Gafen; Shir HaMaalos: R' Moshe Goldstein.

For the Torah, the Rebbe shlit"a based himself on the verse "God sent me before you to establish for you a remnant in the land," and explained that the negative middos of jealousy, desire and honor remove a person from the world, causing him to lose the title "adam." This was the avodah of Yosef HaTzaddik and his two sons Menashe and Ephraim: to uproot these bad middos and teach it to Klal Yisroel, and in this way they merited the receiving of the Torah.

Maariv of Motzei Shabbos: R' Elchanan Taub. After Havdalah, people passed by to wish a gut voch.

Afterwards, the Rebbe shlit"a went down to Heichal Rosenberg, where parents learn together with their children as part of the program "V'shinantam L'vanecha." The Rebbe walked among the tables and looked around with great nachas for an extended time. It concluded at around 7:45.

Thursday, Parshas Vayigash — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the following bar mitzvah bochurim.
The bochur Moshe Yitzchak Heller (Williamsburg).
The bochur Meir Moshe Lebovitch (Williamsburg).
During the Torah reading the Rebbe went up for Hagbah, and after davening he delivered the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 16, verse 2. Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

At around 1:40 in the afternoon the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the Heichal Mivtzar HaKollelim in Kiryas Joel. The Rebbe first looked over the construction work on the new Heichal HaKollel on the lowest floor, to expand the boundaries of holiness. Then the Rebbe went up to the upper floors and walked among the nearly one thousand kollel men, with great satisfaction. The Rebbe then delivered holy words, and among other things spoke about the importance of supporting the mikvah, and asked the kollel men to participate with larger sums, at the very least with $2,600, for the new mikvah that is now being built. He concluded with words of blessing.

In the afternoon at around 5:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha, and Maariv at around 6:00 in his holy home. Before Maariv the Rebbe lit 5 candles in honor of the yahrzeit of the holy Rebbe, the Divrei Yechezkel of Shinova zy"a.

At around 6:30 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the Beis Rachel building, 'Binyan Leah Esther,' in Kiryas Joel, where the Rebbe honored the pure table in honor of the yahrzeit of the Shinova Rebbe zy"a, together with the talmidim of our holy yeshiva, the Yeshiva Gedolah in Boro Park.
The Rebbe shlit"a washed for the seudah, and during the seudah niggunim of inspiration were sung, and the Rosh Yeshiva HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Yaakov Rubin shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Tshernov, spoke.
The Rebbe honored the menahel of the yeshiva, HaRav HaGaon R' Dovid Shlomo Teitelbaum shlit"a, son-in-law of the HaGaon, Av Beis Din of Tshernov shlit"a, with a Michtam LeDovid.

The Rebbe shlit"a delivered holy words in the teachings of the baal hilula, saying that the mitzvah of tefillin brings attachment to Hashem, but only if one does not speak idle talk while wearing the tefillin. He then continued with holy stories about the baal hilula zy"a.

The Rebbe honored the Rosh Yeshiva, Av Beis Din of Tshernov shlit"a, with leading Birkas HaMazon. The seudah ended at around 8:10.

Yechidus hours in the inner sanctum were from around 8:20 until 11:30 at night, in his holy home and also at the Ohel in Kiryas Joel.

During the yechidus hours, the HaGaon, Av Beis Din of Tshernov shlit"a, paid a visit to the Rebbe. A pleasant conversation took place, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessings upon him.
