Thursday 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, brismos took place.
For the newborn son of R' Efraim Shlomo Rosenfeld, where the Rebbe was sandek.
For the newborn son of R' Yoel Bri"ch Gutman, where the Rebbe was sandek.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the main beis medrash. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the following bar mitzvah bochurim:
The bochur Elazar Salzer.
The bochur Fishel Soffer.
The bochur Wolf Perl.
The son of Rabbi Yechiel Yitzchak Spitzer shlit"a.
The bochur Yaakov Bar"ch Farkash.
The bochur Yoel Goldberger.
The bochur Ari Bar"m Perl.
The bochur Yoel Kappel.
During the Torah reading the Rebbe went up for Hagbah, and after davening the congregation passed by to greet the Rebbe shlit"a. Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the hall of the beis medrash.

In the afternoon at about 5:50 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his home.

In the evening the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim R' Bentzion Klein and R' Avrohom Shmuel Farkash, at Kinor David hall.

Entry times to the Rebbe's room were from about 7:30 until 12:30 at night, at his residence on Ohel Court.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at about 10:15 and then continued receiving the public.

Wednesday 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At about 8:15 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for Shacharis in the Beis Chabad beis medrash. The baal tefillah was R' Shimon son of R' Aharon Weinberger (Kiryas Joel).

At about 1:15 the Rebbe shlit"a davened Mincha in the Beis Chabad beis medrash. The baal tefillah was R' Shlomo Yuda Weinberger (Kiryas Tash).
After Mincha the chassidim bid farewell to the Rebbe shlit"a. The Rebbe thanked the local rabbi of the beis medrash, Rabbi Shlomo Aharon Denebeim, for giving over the beis medrash and the mikvah to the Rebbe and for the benefit of the chassidim who came to bask in the shade of holiness, and for standing ready to help with all their needs over the past weeks. The Rebbe then set out on the way to the Palm Springs International Airport, and at about 2:45 the private plane took off for New York.

On the plane, the Rebbe shlit"a spent the entire journey engaged in deep study of the works of the Rishonim on the topic of "shelo k'derech hanasan," writing chidushei Torah and also noting various sources on the topic. These are to be sent to the heads of the yeshivos in Eretz Yisroel and Europe, so that the yeshiva students can engage in it during their study sessions before traveling to the elevated Shabbos Kodesh, "Yeshiva Shel Maalah," in the city of the forefathers, Sighet, for Shabbos Shekalim, IY"H. This is also for the planned study sessions during the exalted days when the yeshiva students will be staying in the shade of holiness, and for the shiurim that the Rebbe shlit"a will deliver on this topic to the hundreds of cherished bochurim, in the very place where his holy forebears taught Torah to thousands of upright and worthy students.

At about 9:45 the private plane landed at Teterboro Airport, and the Rebbe davened Maariv at the airport.

The Rebbe then traveled into Williamsburg, and at about 11:00 arrived at the home of the HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of Sighet shlit"a, where the Rebbe comforted the mourner, his mechutan, the HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of Beis Aharon shlit"a, over the passing of his wife, the Rebbetzin a"h, and the family.

From there the Rebbe shlit"a went to the home of HaGaon Rabbi R' Shlomo Shabsai Kestenbaum shlit"a, rabbi in our holy kehilla in Williamsburg, on the occasion of the marriage of his daughter, mazel tov. A longer, pleasant conversation took place, after which the Rebbe drank a lechayim and offered good wishes to the chassan, the mechutanim, and the grandfathers.

The Rebbe shlit"a then returned to the house of mourning, where he spent time privately with his mechutan, the HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of Beis Aharon shlit"a, and the children. From there, at a late hour, the Rebbe traveled home to his residence in Kiryas Joel, arriving at about 1:50.

Monday 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At around 8:30 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for Shacharis in the Chabad beis medrash. The baal tefillah was R' Yosef Moshe Glantz (Kiryas Joel).
Pesichah: R' Chaim Friedman (Boro Park); baal koreh: R' Dovid Ungar (Shikun Skver); Levi: R' Yechezkel Heimlich (Monsey); Shlishi: the Rebbe shlit"a; Hagbah: R' Avrohom Shmuel Yaakov Friedman (Kiryas Joel); Gelilah: R' Yosef Masri (Kiryas Joel).

In the afternoon at around 5:50 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for Mincha. The baal tefillah was R' Yoel ben R' Moshe Perl (Kiryas Joel). Between Mincha and Maariv the Rebbe engaged in Torah study at his place in the beis medrash, and Maariv was davened at the time of Rabbeinu Tam. The baal tefillah was R' Zalman Leib Felberbaum (Kiryas Joel).

Shabbos Kodesh Parshas Bo, Yahrzeit of Maran V'Rabanah HaGaon HaKadosh, the Baal Eitz Chaim zy"a — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, in the Resort Town of Palm Springs, California

On Friday afternoon at around 4:07, at the time of the visible sunset, the Rebbe shlit"a, as is his custom, ceased from work.

On Friday night at around 5:55, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Chabad beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and went to the amud for Mincha. The Rebbe shlit"a then led Kabbalas Shabbos and recited Kaddish in honor of the hilula, and recited "Havu LaHashem" verse by verse.

Davening ended at around 7:20. The congregation went over to wish a gut Shabbos, and the Rebbe walked home to his holy residence.

At the Erev Shabbos seudah in his holy residence, the doors were opened to the public at around 9:40.
The Rebbe shlit"a honored the following with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: R' Moshe Ungar shlit"a (Skver neighborhood); Menucha V'Simcha: R' Yoel Hersh Rottenberg shlit"a, son of the Salka Rebbe of Monsey.

The Rebbe shlit"a said a Torah thought on the verse "Mi u'Mi HaHolchim" and explained, in the manner of derush, the sugya of "Dibra Torah k'lashon bnei adam."

On Shabbos Kodesh

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash at around 9:30.
Before Pesukei D'Zimra the Rebbe recited Kaddish and sent his grandson Rabbi Yokel Teitelbaum shlit"a to lead Pesukei D'Zimra, and then went to the amud for Shacharis.

The Rebbe's aliya was purchased by R' Refael Perlmutter together with his brother-in-law R' Yosef Mordechai Kahana. The Rebbe thanked them and instructed that a Mi Shebeirach be recited.

Ra'avah D'Ra'avin

The Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Mincha and Shalosh Seudos at around 5:55.
The Rebbe shlit"a went to the amud for Mincha, and after Kaddish put on his tallis over his shoulders with a bracha.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored the following with the zemiros at Shalosh Seudos. Odeh: R' Yehoshua Mendlowitz, and the Nenuim melody of the baal hilula, the Baal Eitz Chaim zy"a, was sung; Shir HaMaalos: R' Chaim Rothstein (Boro Park).

The Rebbe shlit"a said a Torah thought on the verse "V'higadta l'vincha bayom hahu leimor," and explained that a Jew is created with a tzelem Elokim, and that is how his tefillos are accepted. But when one, chas v'shalom, damages it, he loses the tzelem Elokim and cannot daven and avert evil decrees from the Jewish children. He said to consider that we are already through half of the Shovavim days, and how much better one has become; if so, one has already regained the tzelem Elokim through teshuva for the past and a commitment for the future. Shabbos is gematria "yefeh to'ar" and is a segulah for regaining the tzelem Elokim. Likewise, by going to the mikvah one can wash away the face, and the tefillos are accepted.

The Rebbe shlit"a recited the bracha over the cup.

Maariv of Motzei Shabbos: HaGaon R' Alter Weberman shlit"a. After Havdalah the congregation went over to wish a gutte voch. Davening ended at around 8:15.

At around 10:30 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Chabad beis medrash for the tish in honor of the yahrzeit of his grandfather, Maran V'Rabanah HaGaon HaKadosh, the Baal Eitz Chaim zy"a. The Rebbe washed for the seudah.
At the fish course HaGaon R' Aryeh Dov Kornbluh shlit"a, rosh yeshiva of Shiur Daled, made a siyum on Maseches Beitzah, which was completed within the yeshiva.
The zemiros for Motzei Shabbos were sung. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and wished "zechuso yagen aleinu."
Also participating in the seudah were the Beis Yitzchak Spinka Rebbe shlit"a, who is vacationing in Arizona, and the Av Beis Din of Monsey shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a delivered divrei Torah from the teachings of the baal hilula zy"a, emphasizing the importance and greatness of going to the mikvah every day, and continued with holy stories about the baal hilula for an extended time.

The Rebbe honored the Av Beis Din of Monsey shlit"a with Michtam L'Dovid, and afterward the Rebbe recited the bracha over the cup.
On his way out, the Rebbe greeted HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Menashe Rubin shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Dinov, Casa Grande, Arizona.
The tish ended at around 12:00.
