Thursday, Parshas Vayikra, Rosh Chodesh Nisan — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Branch Vayoel Moshe. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the following bar mitzvah bochurim.
The twins, sons of R' Eli Farkash.
The bochur Yoel Gruber.
The bochur Yekusiel Yuda Freund.
The Rebbe shlit"a approached the amud for Hallel with great fervor, the Torah was raised (hagbah) during the Torah reading, and after davening a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

Then, at around 12:30, the Rebbe shlit"a returned to the Heichal HaBeis Medrash, where he delivered the ninth shiur on the sugya of "shelo k'derech hanasan" in preparation for the Shabbos HaGadol derasha. He then spoke words of guidance for the bein hazmanim period, asking the bochurim to learn the chapter of Arvei Pesachim until Yom Tov as preparation for the Yom Tov, and concluded with his holy blessing. It ended at around 1:15.

In the morning, the Rebbe shlit"a made his weekly visit to our kehilla's matzah bakery, and afterward to the mehudar slaughterhouse.

In the afternoon at around 6:50, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim.

After the chuppah at Kinor David, the Rebbe shlit"a looked over with great admiration at the construction work, where they have already begun excavating the enormous site next to the existing Talmud Torah buildings, Beis Mordechai and the Markowitz building, where a mighty fortress will soon be built for the Talmud Torah of Mosdos Kiryas Joel.

Entry times to the Rebbe were from around 8:00 until 12:30 at night, in his holy home on Ohel Street.

During the entry times, the Nitra Rebbe shlit"a came for a visit. A longer conversation took place; the Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings, and gave him his sefer Lev Aharon on Pesachim and Rosh Hashana.

A signing of documents also took place, where HaRav HaChasid R' Yehoshua Shmuel Wieder pledged a considerable sum for a mikvah in Kiryas Joel. The Rebbe signed the documents together with the donor and bestowed his holy blessings.

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe helped the bar mitzvah bochurim put on tefillin.

After davening, the Rebbe delivered the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 17, verse 1. Afterward, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

At 1:55 in the afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Heichal HaMesivta, Divrei Yoel branch, where the Rebbe delivered the eighth sugya shiur on the topic of "shelo k'derech hanaasan," in preparation for the Shabbos HaGadol derasha. It concluded at around 2:35.

In the afternoon at around 6:30, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

Yechidus hours were from around 8:00 until 11:45 at night, in his holy home on Ohel Street.

During the yechidus hours, a ceremony of "distribution of generous stipends" took place in his holy home for over a hundred yungerleit of Mivtzar HaKollelim in Kiryas Joel, who were tested on entire areas of Shulchan Aruch, from the donation of the distinguished philanthropist R' Moshe Yaakov Yosef Brach. Several nigunim were sung in honor of the occasion, and the generous stipends were distributed to the rabbonim and the kollel members. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and warmly blessed the donor and the entire assembly.

Tuesday, Parshas Vayikra — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis together with the talmidim of Yeshiva Gedolah Osek HaTorah of Monsey in the Maharsha beis medrash in Kiryas Joel.

After davening, a lechayim and siyum celebration took place for the end of the zman. The Rebbe drank lechayim and warmly blessed the rabbeim of the yeshiva and all the bochurim, and delivered a yeshiva shiur in Maseches Pesachim. Afterwards, the Rebbe distributed his sefer Lev Aharon on Pesachim to all the bochurim.

On his way out, the Rebbe looked over the mikvah of the beis medrash, which has just recently been put into use.

At midday, at 1:50, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered the Heichal HaMesivta, Divrei Yoel branch, where the Rebbe delivered the seventh sugya shiur, on the sugya of "shelo k'derech hanasan," in preparation for the Shabbos HaGadol drasha. It concluded at around 2:40.

In the afternoon, at around 5:30, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

In the evening, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a traveled to Williamsburg for the weekly yechidus hours.

Upon arrival, the Rebbe took part in the Sheva Brachos celebration of the grandson of his brother-in-law, the Vizhnitz Rebbe of Eretz Yisroel shlit"a, at the home of his father-in-law HaRav HaGaon R' Moshe Mordechai Katz shlit"a, son of the Viener Rebbe shlit"a. A pleasant conversation ensued. The Rebbe drank lechayim and warmly blessed the chassan, the mechutanim, and the grandfathers, the Vizhnitz Rebbe shlit"a and the Viener Rebbe shlit"a, and went out in a dance with the chassan and the mechutanim.

From there, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a went to visit his mechutan, HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din of Beis Aharon shlit"a, on the occasion of the wedding of his granddaughter, the kallah, daughter of his son HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Hersh Elimelech Teitelbaum shlit"a, rav of our beis medrash Tefillah L'Moshe in Boro Park. A longer conversation took place about the history of the family of our holy rabbeim, the Eitz HaTemarim zy"a. The Rebbe drank lechayim and warmly blessed the mechutan, the HaGaon HaTzaddik shlit"a, and the entire family.

Afterwards, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a went to the new magnificent location of "Geder" in Williamsburg. The Rebbe affixed a mezuzah and looked over the entire space. A lechayim celebration then took place, where the Rebbe heard a report on Geder's activities for the sanctity of Klal Yisroel, and conveyed words of his holy speech and encouragement to the administration and askanim, emphasizing the merit they have in helping Jews be protected from technological devices, and concluded with his holy blessings.

Yechidus hours took place from around 8:45 until 12:45 at night in his holy home on Hewes St.

During the yechidus hours, the talmidim of Yeshivas Maor HaChaim of Boro Park came over, and a lechayim celebration and the writing of letters for the Sefer Torah being written by the yeshiva's talmidim took place. The Rebbe wrote in the letters, drank lechayim, and several niggunim were sung. The Rebbe conveyed words of his holy speech and encouragement to the bochurim, and all the bochurim went over to receive the holy blessing.

Also coming in to the Rebbe was the administration of Hisachdus Avreichim of Williamsburg and Boro Park, regarding the siyum of Maseches Nedarim within the framework of the Yesodei HaTorah chaburah, which will take place Motzei Shabbos in Boro Park, and this coming Sunday in the halls of the Continental in Williamsburg, with the participation of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a. The Rebbe heard a report on the work the askanim are investing to increase and glorify Torah, and warmly blessed them.

Also visiting the Rebbe was the sharp HaGaon Rabbi Moshe Trachtman shlit"a of Eretz Yisroel, chairman of Machon Maaseh Choshev. A longer Torah conversation took place, with analytical discussion on several sugyos of Shas. HaGaon R' Moshe shlit"a presented the Rebbe shlit"a with several volumes of chiddushei Torah. The Rebbe in turn sent him off with his holy blessings and gave him as a gift all the volumes of Lev Aharon on drush and pilpul, and the Rebbe wrote in them words of blessing with great warmth.
