Tuesday, Parshas Tzav, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning before Shacharis, brisos took place.
The newborn son of R' Lipa Schonbrun, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
The newborn son of R' Mendel Friedman, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the main beis medrash. Before davening, the Rebbe put on tefillin with the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Yaakov Zusha Gutman.
After davening, a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochur in his private room.

In the afternoon at around 6:00, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a traveled to Williamsburg for the weekly yechidus hours.
Upon arrival, the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the home of the distinguished philanthropist R' Aharon David Yekusiel Weiss, member of the Machane Rav Tuv administration, where a signing of documents took place, in which R' Mordechai Weiss and his son R' Aharon David Yekusiel purchased the merit of naming the new main beis medrash of our holy kehilla in Lyndhurst for the sum of one million dollars. The Rebbe signed the documents together with the donors, drank lechayim, and bestowed his holy blessings on the donors and their families. R' Aharon also showed the Rebbe various sketches of the expansion of the holy premises and the progress within the Machane Rav Tuv summer camps.
In addition, the Rebbe greeted and wished well the Rav of our kehilla in Lyndhurst shlit"a, along with several other members of the community who came to take part in the occasion.

There the Rebbe also inquired and received a splendid report from the administrators of the mosdos and yeshivos, Rabbi Avrohom Yosef Friedman and R' Yechezkel Dovid Berkowitz, about the ongoing learning schedules in the yeshiva ketanos which the Rebbe instituted, to continue until the 7th of Nissan.

Entry for yechidus was from around 9:00 until 12:15 at night, in his holy home on Hughes St.

Monday, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning before Shacharis, the bris of the newborn son of R' Shlomo Moshe Roth took place, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Talmud Torah building on Wallabout together with the students of grades 6, 7, 8 of the branch of HaRav R' Yaakov Shalom Weiss shlit"a.
Before davening, the Rebbe put on tefillin with the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Yitzchak Eizik Schnitzler.
The Rebbe shlit"a lit 5 candles and led the davening as chazan in honor of the yahrzeit of his grandmother, and during the Torah reading he was given hagbah.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place for the students of grades 3, 4, 5 of the branch of HaRav R' Yehoshua Zalman Wertzberger shlit"a. Several nigunim were sung, the Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the melamdim and all the children well, and delivered a few words of Torah and a blessing.

The Rebbe went into his private room, and after a few minutes came in to the lechayim gathering together with the students of grades 6, 7, 8. Several nigunim were sung and one of the children recited rhymes. The Rebbe delivered words of Torah and preparation for Yom Tov Pesach, and concluded with his holy blessing.

On his way out, the Rebbe went in to the students of grades 1, 2 of the branch of HaRav R' Yoel Acker shlit"a. The children sang several nigunim, and the Rebbe watched with great nachas.

Afterwards, the Rebbe went over to the adjacent Goldstein building, to the yeshiva ketana, the Divrei Chaim branch, under the direction of HaGaon Rabbi Shlomo Elimelech Stein shlit"a. The Rebbe looked in on the learning and walked among the bochurim for an extended time with great nachas.

In the afternoon at around 6:30, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home. The Rebbe lit candles and led the davening as chazan.

Entry for yechidus was from around 8:45 until 12:00 at night, in his holy home on Ohel Court.

Sunday, Parshas Tzav, "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning before Shacharis, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Mordechai Katina, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the main beis medrash. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the following bar mitzvah bochurim:
The bochur Binyon Posner.
The bochur Menachem Hillel Gross.
The bochur Avrohom Yoshe Goldstein.
The bochur Yosef Dovid Mittelman.
The bochur Pinchas Yonason Rotter.
The bochur Wolf Elazar Reichman.
After davening, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the hall of the beis medrash.

In the afternoon at around 6:45, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim HaRav R' Yoel Paskes shlit"a (Williamsburg) and R' Moshe Meir Teitelbaum, at the Beis Rochel Paradise hall.

At around 8:10 the Rebbe shlit"a set out for Williamsburg to the siyum on Maseches Nedarim of the Yesodei HaTorah chabura, held at the Continental halls. Upon arrival at around 9:45, the Rebbe davened Maariv in a private room. The Rebbe lit 5 candles and led the davening as shliach tzibbur in honor of the yahrzeit of his grandmother, the Rebbetzin Bracha Sima a"h, wife of the Atzei Chaim zt"l.

At around 10:10 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the hall, and the distinguished speaker HaGaon Rabbi Avrohom Sharer shlit"a, rav of Kehal Tiferes Gedaliah, continued with his address. Songs were sung in honor of the occasion, and the chairman of the event, HaGaon Rabbi Dovid Shlomo Laub shlit"a, called upon the donors and patrons to receive the Rebbe's blessing, and the Rebbe distributed a leather-bound Gemara to the donors.

The Rebbe shlit"a delivered a holy address, highlighting the importance of a Jew who is occupied with earning a livelihood and sustenance yet sets aside fixed times for Torah. He also reiterated that in the Yesodei HaTorah chabura, they should begin Maseches Nazir after Pesach, and until Yom Tov they should learn the chapter Arvei Pesachim from Maseches Pesachim as preparation for Yom Tov Pesach. He spoke words of preparation for Yom Tov Pesach and concluded with holy blessings.

The Rebbe shlit"a made the siyum and honored HaRav HaChassid R' Avrohom Shlomo Kohn, the sponsor of the seudah, together with his brothers, to recite the Kaddish. Afterwards the Rebbe set out together with the entire gathering in a spirited dance. It concluded at around 11:30 and the Rebbe traveled home to his holy residence, b'shaah tovah.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Vayikra — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Friday night at around 7:45, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and proceeded to Mincha.

After Mincha, R' Eliyahu Shlomo Kohn addressed the crowd on behalf of the "BeYomo Titen Secharo" campaign of the mosdos in Kiryas Joel. Kabbalas Shabbos: HaGaon Rabbi Yisroel Aryeh Goldberger shlit"a (of Boro Park).

Davening ended at around 9:20. The congregation went over to wish each other a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went into his private room.

A short time after davening, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Friday night seudah in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the Yeshiva Ketana, Yoel Moshe branch, in Boro Park, and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem, with emotion and sweetness.
Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the bochur Yisroel Dushinsky, son of HaGaon HaTzaddik, rav of Beis Medrash Ohel Feiga shlit"a. Lifting the cup for Kiddush: HaGaon Rabbi Yitzchak Aharon Green shlit"a, menahel of the yeshiva.

After the fish, the Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "And it shall be when your children say to you," and explained the great importance of a Jew's prayer and of every simple word that leaves his mouth.

The Rebbe honored individuals with leading the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Yaakov Rottenberg shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Vojdislav. Menucha V'Simcha: HaGaon Rabbi Aharon Weber shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "If his offering is an olah," and explained, in the manner of drush, the sugya of "shelo k'derech achila."

On Shabbos Kodesh morning, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash at around 9:30. Pesukei D'Zimra: Reb Yoel Goldberger shlit"a. The Rebbe shlit"a recited "V'Charos" aloud, verse by verse, and proceeded to Shacharis.

Hotzaah and Hachnasa: HaGaon Rabbi Avrohom Meir Perlman shlit"a (of Boro Park). The verses of Shema Yisroel: HaGaon Rabbi Aharon Weber shlit"a.

Aliyos. Kohen: HaGaon Rabbi Aryeh Tzvi Braun shlit"a (of Boro Park). Levi: HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Vojdislav shlit"a. Shlishi: the chasan, the bochur Yoel Avrohom Breuer. The Rebbe shlit"a proceeded to Tefillas Mussaf in honor of the yahrzeits of the Rebbetzins, the Eitz Chaim zy"a and the Kedushas Yom Tov zy"a, whose yahrzeits fell this week. Opening of "Ano'im Zemiros": HaGaon Rabbi Anshil Scheer shlit"a (of Williamsburg).

After davening, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Fishel Mendlowitz, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel. It ended at around 12:50.
Seudah Shlishis

For Mincha and Seudah Shlishis, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash at around 7:40. Mincha: Reb Elchanan Taub. Hotzaah and Hachnasa: R' Pinchas Brach (Montreal). Kohen: R' Mendel Meir Glick (of Williamsburg). Levi: R' Yaakov Yazshef. Shlishi: R' Moshe Yitzchak Rosenfeld. Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a. Gelilah: R' Yisroel Dov Klein.

The zemiros at Seudah Shlishis were distributed by the Rebbe as honors: Odeh: R' Noach Gefen. Shir HaMaalos: R' Moshe Goldstein.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "And He called to Moshe," and explained that regarding the mitzvah of bringing a korban there are two mitzvos: the mitzvah itself, and, in addition, a mitzvah to recite the verses that bring in fear of Heaven, for teshuva and for the rectification of one's deeds. So too regarding the mitzvah of eating matzah and the korban Pesach: the matzah brings in fear of Heaven, and thus one can merit to eat the korban Pesach. In our times, the eating of matzah, which brings fear of Heaven into a person, can bring one to teshuva out of love, and for this one must make the proper preparation in order to be able to receive the holy influences of the holy night.

Yedid Nefesh: Rabbi Hershel Ashkenazi shlit"a. Kel Mistater: R' Shmuel Rotter. The Rebbe shlit"a recited the blessing over the cup and said Sheva Brachos.

The Rebbe shlit"a proceeded to Maariv of Motzei Shabbos. After Havdalah, the Rebbe wished the entire congregation a good week. It ended at around 10:00.

On Motzei Shabbos at around 10:45, the Rebbe shlit"a set out for Boro Park to the siyum on Maseches Nedarim of the Yesodei HaTorah chaburah, which took place in the halls of Ateres Rivka. At around 12:10 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived, and the guest speaker, HaGaon Rabbi Yisroel Margulies shlit"a, continued with his address. Zemiros of Melaveh Malka were sung, and the chairman of the event, Reb Yoel Katz shlit"a, called up R' Shmuel Chaim Brach to make the siyum. The Rebbe presented him with a gift, a leather-bound Gemara Maseches Nedarim, in which R' Shmuel Chaim made the siyum. After the siyum, the Rebbe went out with the entire crowd in a fiery dance.

The Rebbe shlit"a delivered a dvar Torah on the verse "If his offering is an olah," and explained that the segulah of the mitzvah of matzah is to bring sweetness into the Torah so that one can feel a taste in learning. He expressed the joy of the thousands of those completing the masechta, and added that in the Yesodei HaTorah chaburah they should begin Maseches Nazir after Pesach, and until Yom Tov they should learn the chapter Arvei Pesachim from Maseches Pesachim as preparation for Yom Tov Pesach. He spoke about the preparations for Yom Tov Pesach and concluded with abundant brachos for the entire congregation. It ended at around 1:00, and the Rebbe traveled home to his residence in Kiryas Joel.
