Friday, Erev Shabbos, Parshas Emor — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At about 9:30, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered the Beis Medrash HaGadol in Williamsburg for Shacharis, together with the talmidim of the 6 yeshivos ketanos and the talmidim of the 9th-grade mechina l'yeshiva.
Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on his grandson, the bar mitzvah boy R' Yekusiel Yehuda ני"ו, son of HaRav HaGaon R' Yoel HaKohen Glantz shlit"a, and afterwards wound the straps on his arm.

After davening, a lechayim gathering was held in honor of the occasion and in honor of Pesach Sheni, and several nigunim were sung in honor of the occasion.
The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a drank lechayim, bestowed his holy blessings, and delivered words of holy Torah in honor of his grandson's first putting on of tefillin, and at the end spoke words of guidance to the bochurim in their bochur years.
After the holy address, they continued singing Chasal Siddur Pesach in honor of Pesach Sheni. It ended at about 11:25.

At his holy residence, the Rebbe shlit"a washed for a proper seudah in honor of Pesach Sheni. Matzos, knaidlach and Pesach foods were served as is customary, and a pleasant conversation unfolded about the customs of Pesach Sheni, regarding when the custom is to hold the seudah in honor of the day: at the time of the offering of the Korban Pesach, which is the afternoon of the 14th, or at the time of eating the Korban Pesach, the night of the 15th. The custom of the Rebbes zt"l was to hold it on the 14th, after midday.
For Birkas Hamazon, the Rebbe honored R' Naftali Hirtzka Stein.
A few minutes before midday, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a traveled back to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.

Thursday, Parshas Emor — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

The bochur Chaim Yaakov Mordechai Zufnik.
During the Torah reading the Rebbe went up for hagbah, and after davening he learned a shiur on a sugya from the shiurim of the yeshiva, after which a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the afternoon at around 6:45 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

At around 7:15 the Rebbe shlit"a set out on the way to Williamsburg. Upon arrival, the Rebbe paid a condolence call to the family of R' Avrohom Yitzchak Franzoys on the passing of his wife a"h.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Maariv at the time of Rabbeinu Tam, at around 9:10, in the Heichal HaTorah on the Rispler floor of our great beis medrash. The baal tefillah was R' Dovid Hersh Mertz. After Maariv the Rebbe counted Sefirah before the amud.

At around 9:30 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the great beis medrash for the bar mitzvah simcha of his oldest grandson, the bochur HaRav Yekusiel Yehuda, son of HaGaon Rabbi Yoel HaKohen Glantz shlit"a, a moreh tzedek in our kehilla, son-in-law of the Gaon and Tzaddik, Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a, and son-in-law of the Gaon and Tzaddik, Av Beis Din of Boro Park shlit"a. Crowds of people filled our great beis medrash in Williamsburg.
The Rebbe washed for the seudah, and after the fish he wished a lechayim to the bar mitzvah bochur, the grandfathers, and the entire assembled crowd. During the seudah, several joyous nigunim of praise and thanksgiving were sung, as well as nigunim of Pesach.
Before the fish, the bar mitzvah bochur made a siyum on the six orders of Mishnah, and the grandfather, the Tzaddik Rabbi Yechezkel Glantz shlit"a of Bardiov, recited the Kaddish D'Rabbanan.
Speaking were the elder grandfather, the Gaon and Tzaddik, Av Beis Din of Boro Park shlit"a, the grandfathers, the Gaon and Tzaddik of Bardiov shlit"a and the Gaon and Tzaddik, Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a, and the father of the bar mitzvah, HaGaon Rabbi Yoel shlit"a.
After the meat course, the bar mitzvah bochur delivered the pshetl, after which the students of the ninth grade class sang rhymes in honor of the occasion.

The Rebbe shlit"a delivered divrei Torah, first a beautiful drush in honor of Pesach Sheni, saying, "Pesach Sheni is actually tomorrow, when the Korban Pesach was brought, but divrei Torah one can already say in honor of Pesach Sheni." He then said words of aggadah in honor of the bar mitzvah, and in doing so expressed his heartfelt emotions, "Shehechiyanu v'kiyemanu v'higianu lazman hazeh," that Hashem granted the merit to participate in the bar mitzvah of a fourth generation. He quoted from his ancestor, the holy Yismach Moshe zy"a, that "whoever sees this in words of Torah," meaning that when three generations learn Torah together, they merit the blessing of "They shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your children, nor from the mouth of your children's children, from now and forever," and this gives the strength to battle the yetzer hara. With moving emotion, the Rebbe recalled the words of Torah that his father, the holy Rebbe zy"a, said at his own (the Rebbe shlit"a's) bar mitzvah sixty years ago, on the verse "I never imagined seeing your face, and behold, Hashem has shown me even your children," that "has shown me" means that one sees oneself reflected in the children, seeing the children follow in the ways of their forefathers. He offered words of song and praise to Hashem for granting the opportunity to live to see such a simcha, and concluded with words of guidance for the bar mitzvah bochur, that becoming a great Torah scholar comes only through hard work. He then gave a blessing to the distinguished grandfathers and to the entire assembled crowd.
For Birkas Hamazon, the Rebbe honored the bar mitzvah bochur as is customary. The simcha concluded at around 11:30, and the Rebbe returned to his holy home in Williamsburg.

Wednesday, Parshas Emor — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, brisos took place.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the hall of the Yeshiva Ketana, Even Tzedek branch, under the direction of HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Eliezer Davidovitch shlit"a.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place in the beis medrash hall. Several nigunim were sung, and the Rebbe drank lechayim, bestowed his holy blessings, and delivered words of holy Torah.

After davening, the Rebbe went downstairs for a visit to the lower floor of the building, where there is a branch of the holy institution Shaarei Chemlah.

Afterwards, the Rebbe shlit"a paid a condolence call to the Indig family, HaGaon Rabbi Aryeh Asher Indig shlit"a, dayan of the Maharsha beis medrash, and his brother, the distinguished philanthropist R' Meir Yaakov Indig, on the passing of their mother a"h.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the hall of the Yeshiva, Vayoel Moshe branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the yeshiva's students in his private room, and at around 6:30 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

Yechidus hours at Kodesh were from 8:30 until 12:50 at night, at his holy residence on Uhel Court.

During the yechidus hours, the Rebbe of Kehal Chassidei Yerushalayim shlit"a came for a visit. A pleasant conversation developed about the holy hilula of the Tanna, the divine Rashbi, in Meron in particular and throughout the world. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim, bestowed his holy blessings, and accompanied him out to the street.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:50 at his holy residence.

The sound of joyous song and salvation in the tents of the righteous

With feelings of joy and gladness, the family is preparing for the bar mitzvah simcha of the first fourth-generation grandchild of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, the bochur Rabbi Yekusiel Yuda, son of HaGaon Rabbi Yoel HaKohen Glanz shlit"a, son-in-law of the Gaon and Tzaddik, Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a, which will take place tonight in our great beis medrash in Williamsburg.

Tomorrow, Friday, the tefillin ceremony will take place in the great beis medrash in Williamsburg. The Rebbe shlit"a will daven Shacharis together with the talmidim of the yeshiva ketanas and the students of 9th grade mechina l'yeshiva. Before davening, the Rebbe will put tefillin on his dear grandson, may he live long, and after davening, IY"H, a lechayim gathering will be held in honor of the occasion.

Tuesday, Parshas Emor — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, brissen took place.
For the newborn son of R' Moshe Yuda Feierstein, where the Rebbe was sandek.
For the newborn son of R' Mendel Gershon Feldman, son of R' Berel, where the Rebbe was sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the beis medrash of the Yeshiva Ketana Zera Kodesh branch, headed by HaGaon R' Yoel Asher Weider shlit"a. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Yoel Schnitzer.
The Rebbe shlit"a lit 5 candles in honor of the yahrzeit of the holy Baal Zera Kodesh of Rapshitz zy"a.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place in honor of the hilula. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and shared a Torah thought from the teachings of the Baal Hilula on the role of a Jew in this world, and on the obligation not to give in to desires, and concluded with his holy blessings.

In the afternoon hours, the Rebbe shlit"a went on his weekly visit to the mehadrin slaughterhouse together with the distinguished philanthropist R' Chaim Hersh Friedman of Montreal, owner of the renowned Agri Star slaughterhouse in Postville, Iowa, where the mehadrin shechita system for large animals under our holy kehilla's supervision is carried out. The Rebbe walked around for an extended time throughout the entire plant and was shown the many chumros and hiddurim that have been instituted in the mehadrin slaughterhouse.

Afterward, the Rebbe shlit"a traveled back to his holy home, and following a private audience with the Rebbe, the historic lechayim gathering took place in honor of the distinguished philanthropist, the esteemed R' Chaim Hersh Friedman, who donated the astronomical sum of ten million dollars for the purity of Klal Yisroel, toward the new magnificent building of the mikvah in Kiryas Joel.

The heads and administration of the kehilla also took part in the lechayim. A pleasant conversation developed, and the Rebbe, among other things, spoke of the distinguished lineage of the esteemed donor, who descends from an excellent family on his forefathers' side and bears the holy name of the Eitz Chaim zt"l. The Rebbe spoke of the great merit of the esteemed donor in increasing purity among Yisroel, and of the importance of building a mikvah for the purity of Yisroel.

The Rebbe drank a lechayim and very warmly bestowed his holy blessings upon the donor shlit"a and his entire family with abundant blessings, and then signed the documents together with the donor. On this occasion the Rebbe shlit"a named the new street, as the expanded part of the mikvah building is being built in the donor's name, 'Hershy Friedman Drive', in his honor and for his merit.

Around 6:45 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home, and afterward the Rebbe shlit"a traveled into Williamsburg for the weekly yechidus hours.
The yechidus hours in the inner sanctum were from around 8:30 until 11:45 at night in his holy home on Hewes St.

During the yechidus hours, the members of the administration of Kollel Shomrei HaChomos entered as a group to receive his holy blessing ahead of their annual dinner in Williamsburg this coming Thursday. HaGaon R' Moshe Rosenfeld shlit"a, dayan of our Beis Medrash Berech Moshe of our kehilla and one of the gabbaim of the Kollel, gave a report to the Rebbe shlit"a about the Kollel's recent activities, and the Rebbe bestowed his blessings.

The Rebbe davened Maariv around 10:30, and afterward continued receiving the public.

Monday, Parshas Emor, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, brisos took place.
For the newborn son of R' Yoel Glanzer, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
For the newborn son of R' Yehoshua Stein, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Divrei Yoel branch. During the Torah reading the Rebbe was called up for shlishi, and after davening he recited the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 15, verse 2.

After davening, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Avrohom Shlomo Bernath in Beis Medrash Beis Shalom, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

In the afternoon at around 3:30 the Rebbe went up to the yeshiva, to the Heichal HaMesivta, Kedushas Yoel branch, where the Rebbe delivered the address opening the zman to over 1,000 talmidim of the Mesivta from all branches. After words of derush and aggada on the weekly parsha, the Rebbe spoke about the takanos of the yeshiva and matters requiring chizuk in all areas: Torah, davening, chassidus, guarding the eyes, going to the mikvah every day, being careful with technological devices. He also spoke of the elevated nature of the Shabbasos in the yeshiva and the importance of the Seudas Re'ava d'Re'avin, and strongly reinforced, with full force, the takanah of the Holy Rebbe, founder of the yeshiva, zy"a, not to attend weddings, and likewise not tenaim and sheva brachos. In this connection he emphasized the privilege the bochurim have to learn in the yeshiva of the Holy Rebbe zy"a and to be his faithful talmidim. The Rebbe then concluded with abundant brachos.

The Rebbe finished at around 4:30, and a few minutes later came in to Mincha in the Heichal of the beis medrash; they finished at around 5:00.

Yechidus hours were from about 8:15 until 12:30 at night, in his holy home on Ohel Court.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim at the tenaim gathering in his holy home between the mechutanim R' Avrohom Moshe Lebowitz and R' Meir Falkowitz.

During yechidus hours, HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Tuvia Stern shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Meron, entered privately. A fine conversation developed about various minhagim and stories of Meron. The Rebbe also spoke with longing about the great Shabbos in Meron, Shabbos Parshas Pekudei 5776, and about the elevated trips to Meron of his father, the Holy Rebbe, the Beirach Moshe zy"a. The Rebbe entrusted him with his holy brachos that he be able to stand guard over the sanctity of the place and the hilula of Rashbi.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:30 in his holy home.

Sunday, Parshas Emor, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Kedushas Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:

After davening, the Rebbe recited the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 15, verse 1, after which a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the afternoon the Rebbe went up to the Heichal HaYeshiva, Beirach Moshe branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room, and at around 6:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim at the tenaim gathering in his holy home between the mechutanim R' Yoel Bleich and R' Yoel Yitzchak Greenwald.

During yechidus hours, the bochur Shlomo Aharon, son of R' Meshulam Tzvi Silberstein (Womsb"g), of the talmidim of the Mesivta, Kedushas Yoel branch, was examined by the Rebbe shlit"a on all of Yoreh Deah, Part 1.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:50 in his holy home.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Acharei Kedoshim — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Friday night at around 8:25, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha and Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Yochanan Mann.
After davening, an appeal was held for Yeshivas Nesivos HaTalmud in the holy city of Bnei Brak. It concluded at around 10:00, the crowd went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went into his private room.

A short while after davening, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Shabbos table in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the Mesivta, and began, in his holy manner, with Shalom Aleichem, with feeling and sweetness.
Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the bochur Meir Eliezer tb"y, son of HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of the beis medrash, Birkas Moshe shlit"a. Lifting of the cup: R' Yosef Moshe Ungar (Monsey).

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the Midrash "At the time when two flames of fire entered the nostrils of Nadav and Avihu," and explained it in the manner of a derush on the topic of "an affirmative commandment overrides a negative commandment."

Stories and anecdotes: This week the Rebbe shlit"a related about the holy Rebbe, the Zera Kodesh of Ropshitz zy"a, whose yahrzeit falls on Tuesday, 11 Iyar.

For Mincha and Seudah Shlishis, the Rebbe shlit"a entered at around 8:20. Mincha: R' Yaakov Moshe Mittelman. Hotzaah and Hachnasah: R' Chaim Ber Adler. Kohen: R' Moshe HaKohen Glanzer (Williamsburg). Levi: R' Nachman Dov Heller (Williamsburg). Shlishi: R' Shimon Stern (Monsey). Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a. Gelilah: R' Yitzchak Yaakov Katz.

For the zemiros at Seudah Shlishis, the Rebbe honored: Odeh: R' Noach Gafen; Shir HaMaalos: R' Moshe Goldstein.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Speak to the entire congregation of the children of Israel and say to them: You shall be holy," and explained that through engaging in Torah, the Torah illuminates a person's eyes so that he is not led astray by the yetzer hara. This, however, is only if one breaks his desires, for otherwise one could, chas v'shalom, stumble in grave transgressions, knowingly and unknowingly. This is "You shall be holy" regarding permitted desires, especially in the days of Sefirah, which are uniquely suited "to purify us and sanctify us with Your supernal holiness."

Yedid Nefesh: R' Yudel Stein. Kel Mistater: R' Nachman Dov Heller. The Rebbe made a blessing on the cup.

Maariv for Motzei Shabbos: R' Shlomo Zalman Stein. After Havdalah, the crowd went over to wish a good week. It concluded at around 10:40.

After Havdalah, the Rebbe comforted the mourner R' Chaim Efraim Weiss on the passing of his father a"h.

Later, a group of bochurim from Yeshivah Gedolah of Bobov, who had spent Shabbos in the Rebbe's presence, entered the Rebbe's holy home. The Rebbe asked about their learning and spoke words of blessing, and the bochurim went over to receive the holy blessing.
