Tuesday, Parshas Shelach, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Branch Eitz Chaim, Shiur 3.

During the morning hours, the Rebbe went on his weekly visit to the mehudar slaughterhouse.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe went up to the Heichal HaYeshiva, Branch Divrei Yoel, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room, and at 6:00 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a received a private visit from HaGaon Rabbi Betzalel Tuvia Wettenstein shlit"a, dayan of Belz Monsey, accompanied by HaRav R' Yoel Yitzchak Stern shlit"a, dayan of Beis Medrash Dinov in Kiryas Joel. A pleasant conversation took place. The dayan shlit"a gave the Rebbe his sefer Shu"t Betzeil HaTov, and the Rebbe gave him in return his sefer Lev Aharon on Bamidbar, drushim and aggadah. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings upon him.

Afterwards, the Rebbe shlit"a traveled into Williamsburg for the weekly yechidus hours.

Upon arriving in Williamsburg at around 8:45, the Rebbe shlit"a went over to our great beis medrash for the celebration of the hachnasas sefer Torah, donated l'iluy nishmas R' Shmuel Dovid Moskowitz z"l, an experienced melamed in our holy mosdos for many years, written through members of our holy kehilla. The Rebbe took the sefer Torah and danced with holy fervor for an extended time, and then honored the Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a to dance, and afterwards recited "L'Dovid Mizmor" as is customary, and bestowed his holy blessings upon the askanim.

After the hachnasas sefer Torah, the Rebbe shlit"a went over to his private room, where a ceremony of writing the letters took place for a sefer Torah being written by R' Yisroel Jacob. The Rebbe wrote in the letters, drank a lechayim, and bestowed his holy blessings upon the donor of the sefer Torah and the family members, among them HaGaon the Av Beis Din of Chenger shlit"a, who showed the Rebbe the lilke of the Chenger HaGaon HaKadosh, the late Asher zt"l. The Rebbe took it in his hand and examined it with emotion, and remarked on what is accepted from tzaddikim, that every lilke is composed of domem, tzomei'ach, chai, and the person who smokes the lilke is the medaber.

The yechidus hours in the inner sanctum lasted from around 9:15 until 1:25 at night, in his holy home on Hewes St.

During the yechidus hours, a meeting took place regarding the founding of a "Beis Din for Monetary Matters" under our holy kehilla in Williamsburg. Present were the rabbanim of our kollel, the heads of the Choshen Mishpat groups, together with the roshei hakollel. The Rebbe gave various instructions to the 3 distinguished talmidei chachamim who will serve as the members of the beis din: HaRav R' Amram Rosner shlit"a, son of the Av Beis Din of Tartzal shlit"a, head of the Choshen Mishpat group in our kollel; HaRav R' Avrohom Oberlander shlit"a, moreh tzedek in our kehilla for monetary matters; and HaRav R' Menachem Zev Stern shlit"a, moreh tzedek in our kehilla.
Among other instructions, the Rebbe shlit"a instructed them to not get involved in any machlokes, Chas V'Shalom, but rather to stand to teach Bnei Yisroel and to make peace between a man and his brother, and warmly bestowed his holy blessings upon the members of the beis din that no stumbling block should come from under their hands.

There was a private visit from HaGaon Rabbi Alexander Ashkenazi shlit"a, the Alesk Rebbe, together with members of his kehilla. A pleasant conversation took place, and he honored the Rebbe to write a letter in the sefer Torah being written l'iluy nishmas his father, the Alesk Rebbe zt"l. The Rebbe wrote the letters, drank a lechayim, and warmly bestowed his holy blessings and extended special good wishes on the occasion of the upcoming marriage of his son, l'mazal tov.

Likewise, a siyum of the writing of the letters took place for a sefer Torah being written by R' Meir Dovid Massri, which will be brought in tomorrow, Wednesday, to the beis medrash in the home of the Divrei Yoel zy"a at 500 Bedford. The Rebbe wrote in the letters, drank a lechayim, and bestowed his holy blessings.

Likewise, a siyum of the writing of the letters took place for a sefer Torah being written by Yeshivas Esek HaTorah Rachmistrivka, l'zechus their Rebbe, the Rachmistrivka Rebbe shlit"a, for a refuah sheleimah. The Rebbe wrote in the letters, and a pleasant conversation took place about the yeshiva, which is located in Staten Island. He warmly extended good wishes to the menahel of the yeshiva, HaRav R' Mordechai Pinchas Twersky shlit"a, grandson of the Rachmistrivka Rebbe shlit"a, and to the assembled chassidim of Rachmistrivka.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:40, and afterwards continued to receive the public.

Monday, Parshas Shelach — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, brissim took place.
For the newborn son of R' Yoel Yaakov Schonbrun, where the Rebbe was sandek and mohel.
For the newborn son of R' Chaim Eli Landau, where the Rebbe was sandek.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal of the Yeshiva Ketana branch Yateiv Panim, under the direction of HaRav R' Chaim Leib Silberstein shlit"a.
Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
the son of the director, Rabbi Chaim Leib Silberstein shlit"a;
the bochur Chaim Feldman;
the bochur Yoel Eli Glick.
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for hagbah.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place in the heichal of the beis medrash. Several nigunim were sung, the Rebbe drank lechayim, gave his holy blessings, and delivered words of Torah.

On his way out, the Rebbe shlit"a went down to the lower floor of the building, where the special branches of the third grade, which learn according to a unique curriculum, are housed. The Rebbe entered the classrooms and observed the learning.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the Heichal of the Yeshiva, branch Vayoel Moshe, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room. At 6:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

At around 7:20 the Rebbe shlit"a went over to Beis Medrash Ohel Feiga for the celebration of a hachnasas sefer Torah hosted by R' Leibish Lichtenstein. The Rebbe took the Sefer Torah, danced the holy dances, recited "L'Dovid Mizmor" as is customary, and then bestowed his holy blessings upon the donor.

After the hachnasas sefer Torah, the Rebbe shlit"a traveled to Skver for the Sheva Brachos celebration of the grandson of his brother-in-law, the Skver Rebbe shlit"a.
The Rebbe arrived at 8:15. A pleasant conversation ensued. The Rebbe drank lechayim and wished mazel tov to the Skver Rebbe, the chosson and the mechutanim, and then danced with the chosson and mechutanim, and especially with the Skver Rebbe shlit"a.
The Rebbe left Skver at 8:40 on his way home to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.

Entry times for the holy audience were from around 9:15 until 11:30 at night, at his holy residence on Ohel Court.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim at the tenaim held at his holy residence, between the mechutanim R' Yoel Hilbrunn and R' Yaakov Klein.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:30 at his holy residence.
