Gatherings of Inspiration and Supplication, and the Grand Lighting at the Holy Site of Meron in Honor of the Tanna Elokai Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, Led by the Rav, Av Beis Din of Williamsburg, shlit"a, for the Members of Our Community Residing in Eretz Yisroel

Sunday afternoon at around 1:45, the elevated lighting gathering took place at the Toldos Avraham Yitzchak courtyard at the holy site of Meron, with the participation of hundreds of members of our community from all over Eretz Yisroel.

For an extended time, they sang moving melodies with weeping and great inspiration, and the Rav shlit"a delivered words of Torah, inspiration, and words of preparation for the ascent to the holy tziyun of the Tanna Elokai Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai.

After the lechayim, the chalaka celebration took place for a grandson of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, the son of Rabbi Elazar Teitelbaum shlit"a. The Rav cut the child's hair at the place of the tefillin, as is customary, and put a kappel and tzitzis on him. Afterward, three more chalakas of members of our community took place, and after the haircuts, they broke into a fiery dance.

They then continued with inspiring melodies, and after a few minutes they approached the lighting ceremony.

The merit of the lighting was purchased by the distinguished philanthropist R' Yosef Mordechai Kohn of New York.

The Rav shlit"a poured in the oil while they sang inspiringly in honor of the Tanna Elokai. Then the Rav shlit"a lit the bonfire in honor of the Tanna Elokai and broke into fiery dancing with great strength and vigor for an extended time. The dancing then continued with the zemiros in honor of the Tanna Elokai, and then it continued further with song and music as hundreds of members of our community, brothers in outlook, talmidim and chassidim of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a from across Eretz Yisroel, danced in circles in honor of the Tanna Elokai.
After an extended time of uplifting dancing, they concluded with a fiery dance in prayer and supplication that "the Rebbe should lead us to greet Moshiach Tzidkeinu."

After a break of about half an hour, the crowd went up in large numbers to the tziyun of the Tanna Elokai, where they recited, with great inspiration, Tehillim from the beginning of the book until chapter 41, and then davened Mincha in the cave.

The merit of the gathering of inspiration and the recital of Tehillim at the tziyun of the Tanna Elokai was purchased by the distinguished philanthropist R' Yechezkel Dovid Berkowitz, chairman of the board of our holy mosdos in Williamsburg.

His Torah is a shield for us and enlightens our eyes; may he plead well on our behalf, our master Bar Yochai

Sunday, Parshas Chukas-Balak — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Kedushas Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
The bochur Yitzchak Levy.
The bochur Shlomo Nosson Nate Markowitz.
The bochur Yoel Berish Wertheimer.
The bochur Yoel Neustadt.
The bochur Avrohom Yaakov Weinberger.
The bochur Yoel Dana.
After davening, the Rebbe recited the daily Tehillim portion, up to chapter 17, verse 15, after which a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the late morning, at around 1:30, the Rebbe shlit"a set out on the way to Monsey for the Chumash seudah of the first-grade students of our holy mosdos, which took place in the new Beis Rochel building, the 'Neustadt Building' on Cherry Lane.

The Rebbe arrived at the gathering at around 2:00. HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of Monsey shlit"a, continued with the address, and the children sang rhymes in honor of the occasion, and the Rebbe distributed a gift of a Sefer Tehillim to all the children.
The Rebbe shlit"a drank a lechayim, blessed the children's parents and grandfathers, and spoke words of kodesh.

Afterwards, the Rebbe entered a side room and distributed holy coins to the students of the mosdos who had brought in larger sums for the benefit of the mosdos during the recent days of Purim.

Afterwards, a signing of pledges took place, where R' Yitzchak Eizik Wiesel and his son R' Moshe Aryeh purchased a classroom in the new Talmud Torah building of our holy mosdos in Monsey. The Rebbe signed the pledges together with the donors, drank a lechayim, and bestowed his holy blessings.
It concluded at around 2:45.

From there the Rebbe shlit"a traveled to Camp Rav Tov in Monticello for the 'affixing of the mezuzah' ceremony for the fourth new Talmud Torah building with twelve new classrooms. The Rebbe arrived at 3:45 and greeted the camp's administration, and walked around to view the camp, all the new facilities, and the expansion of the holy grounds.
The Rebbe looked in on the classrooms and affixed a mezuzah on one of them. Afterwards a lechayim gathering took place, at which R' Meir Mordechai Berkowitz spoke. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings. Then R' Meir Mordechai called upon the distinguished donors to come and sign the pledges with the Rebbe shlit"a.

From there the Rebbe shlit"a traveled to Camp Beis Rochel in South Fallsburg for the 'dedication and affixing of the mezuzah' ceremony for the new huge dormitory building that will accommodate over four hundred girls. The Rebbe walked through the entire building for an extended time accompanied by R' Meir Hirsch, a member of the camp's administration, and in the course of this related recollections of the holy Divrei Yoel zy"a during his visits to the camp.
On the way out, the Rebbe affixed a mezuzah with a blessing at the main entrance. Then the Rebbe went over to the camp's beis medrash, where a lechayim gathering took place. HaRav Eli Shlomo Kohn shlit"a, director of Beis Rochel, and R' Meir Hirsch spoke.
The Rebbe drank a lechayim and spoke words of kodesh, saying that one must see to it that during the summer weeks nothing of Yiddishkeit is neglected. He spoke in praise of the camp's administration, who spare no great expense to provide everything for the girls, both physically and spiritually. He expressed the joy of renewing a new building, saying that this was already the third simcha today: there had been a Chumash seudah in Monsey for the small children, a dedication for the older children in the boys' camp, and now a dedication of a building for the girls. He also spoke about the strong efforts the holy Divrei Yoel zy"a invested in the chinuch of girls, and concluded with his holy blessing.

Afterwards, the Rav of Beis Medrash Yismach Moshe shlit"a, the Chaver Beis Din HaGaon HaTzaddik, spoke. It concluded at around 5:45.

From there the Rebbe shlit"a drove to the new magnificent eyewear store in South Fallsburg, owned by R' Moshe Eliezer Landau and his partner R' Yosef Eliyahu Oppenheim. The Rebbe looked around the business and drank a lechayim. A pleasant conversation developed in which the Rebbe related various stories about the holy Divrei Chaim zy"a, and he bestowed his holy blessings on the owners.
At around 6:10 the Rebbe set out for home, his residence Naveh Kodesh in Kiryas Joel.
In the evening the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim:
R' Yoel Berish Friedman – R' Elchanan Taub, at Kinor David hall.
R' Dovid Leibish Jakobowitz – R' Simcha Katz, at Beis Rochel Paradise hall.

After the chuppahs, the Rebbe shlit"a went to the home of R' Chaim Tager for a return visit to the Pinsk-Karlin Rebbe shlit"a. A pleasant conversation took place; the Pinsk-Karlin Rebbe shlit"a honored the Rebbe with a lechayim, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessings upon him.

Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a went to the halls of Fillmore Gardens, where the siyum HaShas of the Ezras HaTorah group of our holy kehilla took place. HaRav Yoel Weinberger shlit"a, director of Kevias Itim, spoke. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and spoke words of blessing to those completing the group and to all the new participants beginning to learn in the group.

Entry hours to the Rebbe's room were from around 9:00 until 12:50, in his residence Naveh Kodesh on Ohel Court.
The Rebbe davened Mincha at around 9:00.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim in the tenaim hall in his residence Naveh Kodesh for the mechutanim R' Yitzchak Dovid Schwartz – R' Shlomo Elazar Berkowitz.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:50.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Korach — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Erev Shabbos afternoon, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a placed the shtreimels on the chassanim:
The chassan Avrohom Yitzchak, son of HaRav HaGaon R' Nasan Dov Schwartz shlit"a, a moreh tzedek.
The chassan Shabsai, the bochur Dovid Wertheimer.
The chassan Itamar Tuvi, the bochur Yoel Friedman.

On Friday night at about 9:05, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha and Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Chaim Heller (of Williamsburg).
The davening concluded at about 10:45, the congregation came over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went into his private room.

A short time after davening, the Rebbe came to the pure table in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the Mesivta, and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem with feeling and sweetness.
Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the bochur Meir Eliezer ט"ב, son of HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of the beis medrash, the Beirach Moshe shlit"a. Lifting the cup: R' Shimon Shisha, president of Merkaz Ezra V'Yaatz.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: HaRav HaGaon R' Naftali Hirtzka Zwebel shlit"a, Rosh Av Beis Din of Williamsburg. Menucha V'Simcha: the bochurim, grandsons of the Toras Mordechai of Vizhnitz Rebbe zt"l, and the Rebbe had them sing the Vizhnitz Menucha V'Simcha.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Vayikach Korach," and explained in the manner of a derush the topic of whether kohanim are our agents or agents of the Merciful One.

At Seudah Shlishis the Rebbe honored people with the zemiros. Odeh: R' Noach Gefen. Shir HaMaalos: R' Asher Weider (Montreal).

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Vayichar L'Moshe Meod, Vayomer El Hashem Al Teifen El Minchasam," and explained that there are four types of atonement, and even if teshuva alone does not help, teshuva together with tefillah always helps. However, this is only if one conducts himself with humility, for then Hashem davens together with the person; likewise, if one is careful with immersion in the mikvah before davening, for then the Shechina rests there.

HaGaon HaKadosh, Av Beis Din of Williamsburg and the surrounding communities shlit"a, at Shacharis on Friday, Erev Shabbos Kodesh, together with the talmidim of the yeshiva ketana in our holy mosdos in Yerushalayim, the holy city.

Before davening, the Rav shlit"a entered the beis medrash during the learning seder and went around among the tables, hearing the talmidim recite their learning. After davening, a lechayim gathering took place; several songs were sung, and the menahel, HaGaon Rabbi R' Yehoshua Klein shlit"a, spoke. The Rav wished a lechayim and delivered divrei Torah and words of guidance, and he mentioned that the bochurim are truly talmidim of the Rebbe shlit"a, having had the privilege to learn before the Rebbe in the "Yeshiva Shel Maalah" in the city of the Avos, Sighet, this past Shabbos Shekalim, may it come to us for good.

In response to the great demand from the public who wish to follow the details of the uplifting Shabbos in Eretz Yisroel, led by HaGaon Rabbi, Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a, who traveled to strengthen our chassidim in Eretz Yisroel on a holy mission from the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, we are posting a report and photos of the uplifting Shabbos.

A truly uplifting Shabbos of unity took place in our holy kehilla in the holy city of Yerushalayim, led by HaGaon Rabbi, Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a, on a holy mission from his great father, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, to strengthen our chassidim, residents of Eretz Yisroel.
The Shabbos tefillos took place in the temporary beis medrash in the Heichal HaTish, under the auspices of the Vizhnitz Yerushalayim beis medrash, who also made available their private mikvah and a room for the success of the Shabbos. The beis medrash was filled to capacity with all of our chassidim, residents of the holy city of Yerushalayim. Also present was a large group of over 50 leaders and prominent members of our holy kehilla in Bnei Brak, and a fine group of leaders and prominent members of our holy kehilla in Beit Shemesh. Likewise, a large portion of the talmidim of our holy yeshiva in Bnei Brak came for Shabbos.

On Erev Shabbos afternoon, before the zman, an assembly took place with HaGaon Rabbi, Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a, together with all the dayanim of our holy kehilla, where they deliberated and discussed many halachic rulings.

On Friday night at around 8:15 the Rav shlit"a entered the beis medrash and approached Mincha. Kabbolas Shabbos: HaRav R' Yaakov Menachem Neulinger shlit"a, moreh tzedek in our holy kehilla in Yerushalayim.

The huge crowd came over to wish a good Shabbos, and a large crowd of residents of Yerushalayim also came to greet him.

The Rav shlit"a ate the Friday night seudah at the guest residence together with the close followers and family members. Among others present was R' Chaim Lowy of Vienna.

At around 12:00 the Rav shlit"a entered the tish, which was specially set up to accommodate a huge crowd. Many nigunim were sung.
The zemiros were honored as follows. Kol Mekadesh: HaRav R' Shlomo Bennett shlit"a, moreh tzedek in our holy kehilla in Yerushalayim; Menucha V'Simcha: HaRav R' Shmuel Eckstein shlit"a, moreh tzedek in the Edah HaChareidis and in our holy kehilla in Yerushalayim.

During the tish the Rav shlit"a shared precious pearls on the parsha several times.

Ka Echsof: HaRav HaTzaddik R' Yaakov Shlomo Kahana of Dzikov shlit"a; Mah Yedidus: the elderly R' Nachman Jacob. The Rav sang Racheim and other nigunim in honor of Shabbos Kodesh.

The Rav related stories and incidents about the holy Ateres Tzvi of Dzikov zy"a, whose yahrzeit fell on Friday, 11 Tammuz. The Rav quoted from his father, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, who said on 6 Elul 5767 in Meron that the Yitav Lev wrote about the Ateres Tzvi "Rabbeinu," and that the Ateres Tzvi called himself a talmid of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai. Accordingly, we too are his talmidim and have a connection to Rashbi, and how fitting it is to go up to R' Shimon in the week of the holy hilula.

Mincha and Shalosh Seudos began at around 8:15. In the late night hours the Rav shlit"a went to visit the home of R' Shmuel Zanvil Fogel, accompanied by R' Avrohom Yehoshua HaKohen Glantz of Yerushalayim, as an expression of hakoras hatov for his good efforts on behalf of our Kollel Yoel Moshe and our holy kehilla. There they warmly spent time together in "brothers dwelling together," and discussed various matters concerning the kollel.
