Wednesday, Parshas Chukas-Balak — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, the Veyoel Moshe branch. After davening, the Rebbe learned the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 18, verse 7.

After Shacharis, the Rebbe paid a shiva call to the family of HaRav HaChosuv R' Yonason Binyamin Hennig a"h, and afterwards paid a shiva call to HaRav HaChosuv R' Shaul Leib Zaldan, on the passing of his brother a"h.

In the afternoon the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the heichal of the Yeshiva, Veyoel Moshe branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room.

In the evening the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim:
R' Yoel Hirsch Goldberger (Montreal) - R' Yehuda Leib Weiss, at Kinor David hall.
R' Yehuda Leib Laub - R' Yoel Krausz, at Keren Veyoel Moshe hall.

In the evening, HaGaon R' Shimon Spitzer shlit"a, one of the leading mashpiim in Eretz Yisroel, came for a private audience with the Rebbe. He had come to serve as the guest speaker at the siyum of the "Toras'cha Sha'ashuai" chaburah in Kiryas Joel. A fine conversation developed about the approach to learning in the yeshivos at home. The Rebbe shared of his blessings with him and gave him as a gift his sefer Lev Aharon on Pirkei Avos.

At around 8:40 the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the halls of Ginas Klein for the siyum on Maseches Menachos as part of the "Toras'cha Sha'ashuai" chaburah. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and extended good wishes to the entire assembly, delivered a dvar Torah, and connected Maseches Menachos with Maseches Chullin. The Rebbe spoke in praise of the members of the chaburah, and concluded with his blessing.

The entry times for private audiences in the inner sanctum were from around 9:10 until 12:30 at night, at his holy residence on Uhel Court.
The Rebbe davened Mincha at 9:10 and Maariv at 12:30.

During the entry times, HaGaon Rabbi Yehuda Katz shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Kahal Vayatzev Avraham of Melbourne, Australia, came for a visit. A pleasant conversation took place about Yiddishkeit in Australia in the past and today. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and shared of his blessings with him.

Tuesday, Parshas Chukas-Balak, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in Heichal HaMesivta, Etz Chaim branch, Shiur Gimmel. Before davening, the Rebbe put on tefillin for the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Shmuel Aharon Singer.
After davening, the Rebbe recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 18, verse 5, after which a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.

During the morning hours, the talmidim of 9th grade of Talmud Torah Tzemach Tzaddik Viznitz of Williamsburg entered the Rebbe's room. The Rebbe tested the bochurim for an extended time, and the bochurim then went over to receive a blessing.

Likewise, the children of Talmud Torah Sha'agas Aryeh of Lakewood, in grades Tashbar, entered. The Rebbe questioned them on their studies, and the children went over to receive a blessing.

In the afternoon the Rebbe shlit"a went up to Heichal HaMesivta, Kedushas Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the yeshiva talmidim in his private room, and at around 6:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening the Rebbe shlit"a traveled to Williamsburg for the weekly reception hours.
The group reception hours lasted from around 8:45 until 11:55 at night, in his holy home on Hooper St.

During the reception hours, HaGaon Rabbi, Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a entered and delivered splendid reports and greetings from our holy kehilla and mosdos in Eretz Yisroel, beginning with the visit in Bnei Brak, and from Beit Shemesh and Yerushalayim, and the uplifting Shabbos Hitachdus in Yerushalayim, the holy city, which passed with tremendous elevation, as well as the uplifting gathering in Meron. The Rebbe shlit"a derived tremendous nachas from this. The Rav shlit"a also conveyed greetings from the posek hador and marah d'asra kadisha of Yerushalayim, the Rosh Av Beis Din of Yerushalayim shlit"a.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 10:20, and afterwards continued receiving the public.

Upon arriving in Kiryas Joel at around 1:15, the Rebbe recited Kiddush Levana in the Berach Moshe neighborhood.

Monday, Parshas Chukas-Balak — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Avrohom Chaim Shimenovitch, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal of the Mesivta, Divrei Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
the bochur Shmuel Zanvil Frankel (Montreal).
the bochur Mendel Parkash.
During the Torah reading the Rebbe went up for hagbah, and after davening he recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 17, verse 15. Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

A signing of documents also took place, in which the distinguished R' Aharon Hersh Mittelman of Boro Park purchased a share in an immersion pool in the new mikvah taharah in Kiryas Joel. The Rebbe signed the documents together with the donor, drank a lechayim, and bestowed his holy blessings.

Afterwards, a ceremony of pouring the foundations took place for two new pools in the new mikvah taharah. The Rebbe walked around the entire building for an extended time together with the HaGaon HaGadol, Av Beis Din of Kiryas Joel shlit"a, the rabbanim of the Vaad HaMikvaos, and the donors of the pools, and pointed out various stringencies that had been implemented. The Rebbe also went up to the roof of the building and looked over the rainwater system.
Then the Rebbe poured the pools and honored the HaGaon, the Av Beis Din shlit"a, the esteemed rabbanim, and the donors of the pools, the distinguished philanthropist R' Aharon Hersh Mittelman of Boro Park and the distinguished philanthropist R' Avrohom Brach of Williamsburg.

A lechayim gathering was then held, and a fine discussion on matters of mikvaos took place; the distinguished R' Dovid Eckstein of Eretz Yisroel spoke.
The Rebbe drank a lechayim and bestowed abundant blessing upon the donors.

In the afternoon hours the Rebbe set out for Lakewood, where the Rebbe participated in the chuppah of a grandchild of the distinguished philanthropist R' Chaim Hersh Friedman of Montreal.
Upon arriving in Lakewood, the Rebbe went up to the home of the distinguished R' Yaakov Hersh Teitelbaum, one of the prominent members of our kehilla, and at the designated time proceeded to the Lakewood Terrace hall. The Rebbe greeted the esteemed visiting rabbanim who had come to travel to the wedding, among them HaGaon R' Shlomo Kanievsky shlit"a, Rosh Yeshiva of Kiryat Melech in Eretz Yisroel; HaGaon Rabbi Binyamin (HaTzaddik) Finkel shlit"a, mashgiach of the Mir Yeshiva in Eretz Yisroel; the HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Zhibiv shlit"a of Montreal. The Rebbe also warmly greeted HaGaon Rabbi Aryeh Malkiel Kotler shlit"a, Rosh Yeshiva of Beth Medrash Govoha of Lakewood, and other esteemed rabbanim, philanthropists, and communal leaders.

The Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin, and after the chuppah warmly bestowed his holy blessings upon the distinguished philanthropist R' Chaim Hersh, the chosson, the mechutanim, the esteemed grandfathers, and the family.

Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a proceeded to our great beis medrash in Lakewood, where the Rebbe davened Mincha together with the chassidim. Upon arriving at the front of the beis medrash, he was greeted by HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Avrohom Shmuel Engelander shlit"a, Av Beis Din of our kehilla, together with the heads of the kehilla. The Rebbe inquired about the growth of the city and the expansion of the boundaries of kedusha of our holy kehilla. Also waiting in the beis medrash was the rav, HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Mordechai Betzalel Klein shlit"a. The baal tefillah was R' Mordechai son of R' Nechemya Markovitch.
After Mincha the congregation went over to greet the Rebbe for an extended time. Afterwards the Rebbe walked around the entire beis medrash building and the mikvah, where he looked over the immersion pools accompanied by the HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din shlit"a, who showed the expansion of the boundaries of kedusha and further plans for the future. The Rebbe wished well to the Rav of the holy city, R' Yisroel Weltz, and the heads and prominent members of our kehilla.
At around 9:00 the Rebbe set out on the way home to Kiryas Joel.

Yechidus hours were from around 10:45 until 12:30 at night, in his holy home on Ohel Court.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:30.
