Wednesday, Devarim, Rosh Chodesh Av, "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Shacharis at around 8:45. The talmidim of Yeshiva Gedolah Esek HaTorah davened together with him.
Before davening, the Rebbe put on tefillin for the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Dovid Weiss (Kiryas Yoel).
The Rebbe shlit"a proceeded to Hallel with great inspiration, as is customary.

After davening, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in the heichal of the beis medrash, after which the Rebbe walked home, and a conversation developed about various minhagim of Rosh Chodesh.

At around 11:40 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash, where the Rebbe extended his holy table in honor of Rosh Chodesh together with the talmidim of Yeshiva Gedolah Esek HaTorah. The Rebbe washed for the seudah. Before the fish, the talmidim of the yeshiva made a siyum on a masechta: the chassan Yuda Leib son of Shalom Eliezer Weber (Kiryas Yoel) on Maseches Menachos, and the bochur Asher Zelig son of Chaim Yisroel Klagsbald (London) on Maseches Makkos.

A fleishig seudah was served. At the lechayim after the soup, the Rebbe wished the bochurim who completed the masechta well. During the seudah, songs of galus and geulah were sung.
For Borchi Nafshi, the Rebbe honored the director, HaGaon R' Yisroel Mordechai Seidenfeld shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a delivered holy words on the verse in Eichah, "Galsah Yehuda mei'oni," explaining that for sins between man and his fellow there is no righteous advocate, and for this the Beis HaMikdash was destroyed. He urged them to be careful with ahavas chaveirim, for in that merit we will leave galus, and concluded with abundant blessings for the bochurim.

Afterward, the Rebbe distributed blessed coins to the bochurim ahead of their trip to the holy places in Europe, and the Rebbe bestowed from his holy blessings. It ended at around 1:00.

The Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Mincha at around 8:50. Between Mincha and Maariv, the Rebbe studied Torah in the beis medrash. At the time of Rabbeinu Tam, around 9:40, he davened Maariv.

Monday, Parshas Devarim, 28 Tammuz, the yahrzeit of the Yismach Moshe zy"a — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Shacharis at around 8:45. The Rebbe lit 5 candles and davened at the amud.

Opening: R' Moshe Baruch Schwartz (Williamsburg); Kohen: HaGaon R' Levi Yitzchak Berzevsky shlit"a; Levi: R' Yehoshua Zalman Wertzberger shlit"a (Kiryas Joel); Shlishi: the Rebbe shlit"a; Hagbah: R' Yehoshua Mendlowitz; Gelilah: R' Yitzchak Yosef Grad (Williamsburg).

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place on the occasion of the yahrzeit. The Rebbe drank lechayim, wished the entire community well, and told stories of holiness about the Baal Hilula for an extended time.

Afterward the Rebbe walked home, and a conversation developed about various matters concerning the Baal Hilula zy"a.

In the afternoon, at around 5:15, HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Hillel Weinberger shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Sardahely and Rav of the Hechsher Committee of the Association of Rabbanim, who is currently traveling on behalf of kashrus, came for a visit at the Rebbe's residence. The Rebbe received him with great honor, and instructed the house bochur to bring in refreshments, since he had come from such a long distance, and honored him to partake. A longer conversation in halacha on various questions lasted close to half an hour, after which the Rebbe escorted him out to the street.

Later, at around 6:00, the Rebbe delivered brief divrei Torah through a telephone hookup to members of our community in London at the urgent gathering 'Mesoraseinu,' convened by directive of the Rebbe shlit"a.

The Rebbe entered the beis medrash for Mincha at around 8:30. On the way to the beis medrash, the talmidei hayeshiva gedola, shiur 4, together with the roshei yeshiva HaGaon R' Aryeh Dov Kornbluh shlit"a and HaGaon R' Yitzchak Yaakov Rosenfeld shlit"a, greeted him.
The Rebbe lit 5 candles and davened at the amud.

After Mincha the Rebbe extended his holy tish on the occasion of the holy hilula together with the talmidei hayeshiva gedola, shiur 4.
The Rebbe washed for the seudah, and before the fish the rosh hayeshiva HaGaon R' Aryeh Dov Kornbluh shlit"a made a siyum on Maseches Sukkah, which had been learned as part of the yeshiva, and recited Kaddish.
At the lechayim after the fish the Rebbe said, "May his merit protect us." During the seudah, songs of galus and geulah were sung, and the Rebbe honored R' Anshil Gruber shlit"a, a maggid shiur in our holy community of Monsey, with the song Michtam L'Dovid.

The Rebbe shlit"a delivered holy words interwoven with stories about the Baal Hilula, and concluded with abundant blessings to the bochurim.
The Rebbe shlit"a recited the blessing over the cup; Hagbahas HaKos: HaGaon R' Yitzchak Yaakov Rosenfeld shlit"a, one of the roshei hayeshiva. It concluded at around 9:50.

After the yahrzeit seudah, Maariv was davened. After Maariv, a group of community members from Montreal, who had come to take part in the yahrzeit seudah, bid farewell, and the Rebbe walked home.

Sunday, Parshas Devarim — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Shacharis at around 9:10. After davening, the Shabbos guests bid farewell.
The talmidei hayeshiva also presented an answer to the Rebbe's question.
The bochur Yisroel son of R' Yoel Bro"a Weiser (Kiryas Joel).
The bochur Moshe Yuda son of R' Yoel Efraim Fishel Fried (Kiryas Joel).

The Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Mincha at around 9:00. Between Mincha and Maariv the Rebbe learned Torah in the beis medrash. At the time of Rabbeinu Tam, around 9:40, Maariv was davened; the Rebbe lit 5 candles and davened at the amud on the occasion of the holy hilula of his grandfather, the Yismach Moshe zy"a.
After Maariv the Rebbe walked home. A conversation developed about the holy R' Elazar of Lizhensk zy"a, whose yahrzeit falls on 28 Tammuz.
