Tuesday, Parshas Eikev — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Shacharis at around 8:45.
After davening, the congregation went over to bid farewell, and the Rebbe thanked the faithful shamash of the beis medrash, HaRav R' Fishel Farkash. The Rebbe then walked home, and a conversation developed about the halachos of mezuzah.

At around 1:00 the Rebbe shlit"a left his holy residence on the way home to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel. The Rebbe arrived at around 7:00 and was awaited by a fine crowd of talmidei hayeshiva, who greeted him with song and music and came over to say shalom.

The Rebbe davened Mincha at around 8:50 and Maariv at around 9:50 in his holy residence. After Maariv, people came over to say shalom and wish mazel tov on the occasion of the kiddushin simcha of the Rebbe's grandson. The Rebbe warmly wished shidduchim for all the bochurim, saying that we are standing today on Tu B'Av, which is an auspicious time for shidduchim.

At around 11:30 the kiddushin simcha of the Rebbe's grandson, the chassan HaRav Yoel Teitelbaum shlit"a, son of the HaGaon, Av Beis Din of Sighet shlit"a, took place in the Rebbe's holy residence. The kallah is the daughter of HaGaon R' Shalom Halberstam shlit"a (of Boro Park), son of HaGaon R' Berel Halberstam zt"l
of Bardiov - Dombrova, and the son-in-law of the Nassoid Rebbe shlit"a.
A fine conversation developed about the illustrious lineage and the great forefathers of all sides. The kinyan was made, the Rebbe drank a lechayim and offered blessings to the chassan, the mechutanim, the grandfathers, and the entire family. Joyous melodies were sung, and the Rebbe blessed the kallah. It concluded at around 12:15.

Monday, Parshas Eikev, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Shacharis at around 8:50.

After davening, the Rebbe took a walk home, and a conversation developed about various topics concerning testimony on a kesuba.

During the morning hours, a group of outstanding bochurim from Yeshiva Ketana, Rav Tuv branch in Kiryas Joel, under the leadership of HaGaon R' Wolf Landau shlit"a, entered the Rebbe's holy residence to be tested on Shulchan Aruch Yoreh Deah, the laws of salting meat, meat and milk, and treifos.
The Rebbe tested the bochurim for an extended time with great nachas, and discussed various questions that arise in our times. Afterwards all the bochurim passed before the Rebbe, who wished them a blessing, and gave an extra blessing to the principal, HaGaon R' Wolf Landau shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Mincha at around 8:45. Between Mincha and Maariv, the Rebbe studied Torah in the beis medrash. Maariv was davened at the time of Rabbeinu Tam.

Sunday, Parshas Eikev, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, in the resort town of Bethlehem, New Hampshire

The Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Shacharis at around 9:15. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Amram Tirnauer (Kiryas Joel).
After davening, the Shabbos guests bid farewell, and a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur. Afterwards the Rebbe took a walk home, and a conversation developed about the holy Rebbe R' Hershele Liska zy"a, whose yahrzeit is on 14 Av.

The Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Mincha at around 8:50. Between Mincha and Maariv, the Rebbe studied Torah in the beis medrash. Maariv was davened at the time of Rabbeinu Tam. The baal tefillah was Rabbi Chaim Elisha Stern shlit"a, rav of Kehal Chassidim in Bayswater.

After Maariv, the Rebbe shlit"a made a telephone condolence call to the family of HaGaon Rabbi Zalman Halberstam zt"l, Av Beis Din of Csaca, among them HaGaon Rabbi Avrohom Meir shlit"a, dayan of the beis medrash of our kehilla in Williamsburg 15, and HaGaon Rabbi Yoel shlit"a, rav of the batei medrash Beis Shmuel - Dulek in Kiryas Joel.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Va'eschanan — Shabbos Nachamu — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, in the resort town of Bethlehem, New Hampshire.

This week, the talmidim of the Mesivta, Beirach Moshe branch, merited to spend Shabbos B'tzeil HaKodesh.

On Erev Shabbos after the mikvah, the yeshiva students presented answers to the Rebbe's question.

On Friday night at around 8:50, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha and Kabbalas Shabbos. The chazan was HaRav R' Aharon Meisels shlit"a, rav of Beis Medrash Beirach Moshe, son of the HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Montreal shlit"a.

Davening ended at around 10:20. The tzibbur went over to wish a gut Shabbos and shake hands, and the Rebbe went home to his holy lodging.

At around 11:00, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the hall of the beis medrash for the Friday night seudah together with the yeshiva students and many guests, and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem with feeling and sweetness.

Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the chassan Meir Eliezer may he have a good year, son of the HaGaon HaTzaddik, rav of the Beirach Moshe beis medrash shlit"a. Lifting the cup: the son-in-law of the Rebbe, the HaGaon HaTzaddik, rav of the Beirach Moshe beis medrash shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: HaGaon Rabbi R' Aharon Mordechai Brisk shlit"a, dayan of Tashnad Monsey. Menucha V'Simcha: the Rebbe's grandson Rabbi Yechezkel Shraga, may he have a good year, shlit"a, son of the HaGaon HaTzaddik, rav of the Beirach Moshe beis medrash shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse 'Va'eschanan el Hashem ba'eis hahi laimor' and explained, in the manner of a drush, the topic of whether one follows quantity or quality.

The Rebbe shlit"a approached the amud for Shacharis, and the chazan for the chazaras hashatz was the son-in-law of the Rebbe, the HaGaon HaTzaddik, rav of the Beirach Moshe beis medrash shlit"a.

During the seudah, several niggunim of nechama and geulah were sung, as well as Yiddish niggunim.

The Rebbe honored people with the zemiros. Baruch Hashem Yom Yom: R' Yisroel Yaakov Deutsch. Baruch Kel Elyon: R' Yaakov Eliezer Wertzberger (Kiryas Joel).

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse 'Va'eschanan el Hashem ba'eis hahi laimor' and explained, in the manner of a drush, the topic of whether Jews have the din of banim to Hashem.

Birkas Hamazon: the menahel of the yeshiva, HaRav R' Hillel Rabinowitz shlit"a. The seudah ended at around 3:55.

Ra'avah D'Ra'avin

The Rebbe entered for Mincha and Shalosh Seudos at around 8:40. Mincha: R' Elchanan Taub. Hotzaah and Hachnasah: R' Avrohom Yosef Shalomon (Williamsburg). Baal Koreh: the Rebbe's grandson, the chassan Meir Eliezer, may he have a good year, shlit"a.
Kohen: R' Yechezkel Shraga Katz (Kiryas Joel). Levi: the bochur, son of Eli Yuda Roth (Kiryas Joel). Shlishi: R' Chaim Elimelech Yakov shlit"a. Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a; it was purchased by R' Yosef Masri, and the Rebbe thanked him. Gelilah: the bochur Yosef Masri.

The Rebbe honored people with the zemiros at Shalosh Seudos. Odeh: R' Berish Gross shlit"a. Shir HaMaalos: R' Shlomo Rubinstein (Kiryas Joel).

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse in the haftarah 'Nachamu nachamu ami yomar Elokeichem' and explained that through the mitzvah of tefillin, one merits that when he davens, Hashem, so to speak, davens along, and one merits teshuva and, through knowledge, the complete redemption.

Yedid Nefesh: R' Avrohom Meir Wertzberger. Kel Mistater: R' Amram Tirnauer. The Rebbe made a bracha on the cup.

Maariv for Motzei Shabbos: R' Hershel Kohn shlit"a. After Havdalah, people went over to wish a gut voch.
