Monday, Parshas Re'eh — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning after the mikvah, a bris for a newborn son took place for R' Elimelech Bash, in the home of his father-in-law, HaRav R' Aharon Shaul Sandel, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

Afterward, at around 9:30, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a set out on the annual visit to the summer camps of our holy mosdos in Williamsburg and Boro Park.

At around 10:20 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the "Bochurim Camp," Machaneh Rav Tuv in Swan Lake. The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis together with the hundreds of talmidim of the mechina class of the yeshiva, 9th grade, from Williamsburg and Boro Park, and the Rebbe put on tefillin in the beis medrash. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Shlomo Aharon Friedman.

At around 1:15 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the batei medrash where the bochurim learn. The Rebbe looked around with great nachas, walking among the tables and testing the bochurim on their learning, first in the beis medrash of the 9th grade talmidim of our holy mosdos in Williamsburg, under the direction of HaGaon R' Yehuda Ber Teller shlit"a, and then in the beis medrash of the 9th grade talmidim of our holy mosdos in Boro Park, under the direction of HaGaon R' Akiva Yosef Kahana shlit"a.

On the way, the campers waited and sang a niggun, and the Rebbe distributed candies to the children. Afterward a lechayim gathering took place with the bochurim in the main beis medrash. Rhymes were sung, and the Rebbe drank lechayim, wished the bochurim well, and delivered words of Torah, first with a discourse on the sugya the bochurim are learning in Maseches Kiddushin, and then spoke words of guidance about love of Torah. He urged them to be careful to go to the mikvah every day, not to engage in idle talk while wearing tefillin, and not to touch any vessels, and concluded with a blessing for the rebbeim and for all the bochurim.
It concluded at around 2:20.

From there, at around 2:30, the Rebbe shlit"a traveled to the "Boys Camp," Machaneh Rav Tuv in Monticello. The Rebbe went up to the batei medrash of the older grades: the branch of Rabbi Yoel Stern shlit"a, the branch of Rabbi Yoel Meir Friedman shlit"a, the branch of Rabbi Zerach Shapira shlit"a, and the branch of Rabbi Moshe Eliyahu Green shlit"a. He spent a lengthy time walking among the children, looking over the learning with great nachas and testing the children.

Afterward the Rebbe went up to the dining hall, where a bris for a newborn son took place for R' Yitzchak Meir Lichtenstein, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

Afterward all the children gathered in the dining hall for a welcoming ceremony.
The children welcomed the Rebbe with song and music, and then sang warm rhymes in honor of the occasion. The Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the children well, and then delivered words of Torah with words of mussar and chizuk. Afterward the Rebbe distributed shirayim to the rebbeim to hand out to all the children.

While in camp, the Rebbe greeted the grandchildren among the campers and gave them money bags, following the custom of his father, the Rebbe zt"l, zy"a.
It concluded at around 4:30, and the Rebbe left the camp, driving through the children as they stood lined up on both sides of the camp.

At around 4:45 the Rebbe arrived at Camp Beis Rochel in South Fallsburg, where the Rebbe drove to the "Shaarei Shalva" building, where all the Beis Rochel girls were gathered. The Rebbe greeted the camp administration, went up to the stage, delivered words of Torah and guidance to the girls, and concluded with his holy blessing.
At around 5:00 the Rebbe left the camp on the way home to his residence in Kiryas Joel.
In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim:

During yechidus hours, the Rebbe received a visit from the HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din of Chiviv, shlit"a. A pleasant conversation took place and the Rebbe bestowed his blessings.
Also visiting was HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Moshe Menachem Weiss shlit"a, Av Beis Din of our holy kehilla in London, who is currently staying in New York for the next few weeks. A pleasant conversation took place about the expansion of the boundaries of holiness of our holy kehilla in London. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and bestowed his blessing.

Sunday, Parshas Re'eh — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for a newborn son of R' Eli Fried, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Kedushas Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Yoel Klein.

After davening, the Rebbe delivered the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 18, verse 18.

During the morning hours, in the Rebbe's holy home, the completion of the writing of the letters took place for the Sefer Torah being written by HaGaon R' Shmuel Chaim Brach, one of the distinguished members of our kehilla in Williamsburg, a man of action, who is esteemed in the words of the Ramban. The Rebbe wrote in the letters, drank a lechayim, and bestowed his holy blessings upon the prominent benefactor and his family. A pleasant conversation developed, during which HaGaon R' Shimon Yoel Brach shlit"a, a halachic authority for matters of sofrus for our kehilla in Boro Park, who is a member of the family, showed the Rebbe various questionable mezuzos and writings.

At around 1:30 in the afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the halls of Beis Rachel Paradise, where the "Chumash Seudah" took place with over five hundred first-grade talmidim, may they live and be well, from all the branches of the Kiryas Joel mosdos, may they be protected.
The children sang several nigunim and recited verses of Chumash Vayikra, led by the principals Rabbi Yoel Acker shlit"a, Rabbi Dovid Chananya Weiss shlit"a, and Rabbi Dovid Falkowitz shlit"a. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and delivered brief words of divrei Torah and blessing to the children, and then distributed a gift to all the children, a Krias Shema She'al HaMitah booklet. The Rebbe also gave a gift to the esteemed R' Yoel Epstein, who had purchased the zechus of the occasion. Afterwards the children stood up and danced while the Rebbe looked on with great nachas for an extended time. It concluded at around 2:30.

In the afternoon hours, at around 5:15, the Rebbe participated in the levaya at the cemetery in Kiryas Joel of the distinguished woman, Rebbetzin Margalis a"h, granddaughter of the Atzei Chaim zy"a and longtime administrator of Beis Rachel of our holy mosdos in Williamsburg. The Rebbe delivered words of eulogy before her bier, citing her many activities for the benefit of the chinuch of girls in our holy mosdos in Williamsburg, and then accompanied the bier. Afterwards, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

At around 6:45, the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the beis medrash in the Achdus Country in Kiryas Joel for the Hachnasas Sefer Torah celebration, donated by the esteemed R' Shmuel Chaim Brach. The Rebbe took the Sefer Torah and danced with holy ecstasy for an extended time. Then the Rebbe honored the prominent benefactor and his sons, may they live and be well, to continue the dancing and to place the Sefer Torah in the Aron Kodesh. Then the Rebbe recited "L'Dovid Mizmor" as customary and bestowed his holy blessings upon the prominent benefactor and his family, may they live and be well.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a went to visit the ill R' Yosef Weiss, where the Rebbe bestowed upon him his blessing for a complete recovery. Afterwards, the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Eikev — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Erev Shabbos afternoon, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a placed the shtreimel on the chassan Yisroel, son of Meir Mordechai Budak.

On Friday night at around 8:50 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha and Kabbalas Shabbos: HaGaon Rabbi Yaakov Weiss shlit"a, Rav of our beis medrash Beirach Moshe in Monsey. After davening, an appeal was held for the holy institution Keren Hatzalah, with HaGaon R' Shmuel Friedman shlit"a speaking. It ended at around 10:25, the congregation went over to wish a gut Shabbos, and the Rebbe went into his private room.

A short time after davening, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the tish in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the mesivta and began, in his holy manner, Sholom Aleichem with emotion and sweetness.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "V'hayah eikev tishme'un" and explained that the words allude to the name Rabbi Akiva. At the end of the year, when people are awakened to teshuva, the question becomes difficult: "If I am a king until now, why did you not come to me?" But Rabbi Akiva follows the view of his student Rabbi Meir, that "either way, you are called children," and so all teshuva is accepted.

Songs of joy and gratitude were sung, and R' Dovid Shlomo Eckstein shlit"a, menahel of the yeshiva, and the mechutan HaGaon, Rav of Beis HaMedrash Beirach Moshe shlit"a, spoke.
The Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the chasan, the mechutanim and all the bochurim well. Afterwards the Rebbe delivered words of Torah in honor of the occasion and concluded with abundant blessings for all the bochurim. Then the chasan said the pshetl and it was sung in as is customary,
the singing of joyous songs continued, and the Rebbe rose to dance.

In the morning hours, the bochurim Yisroel son of Shalom Yitzchak Jacobovitch and Hershel son of Berish Glick stood for an extended examination in the Rebbe's holy home, on all of Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim, Hilchos Shabbos.

Thursday, Parshas Eikev — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, before Shacharis, brissin took place.
For the newborn son of R' Yosef Leib Lebovitch, where the Rebbe was sandek and mohel.

In the afternoon at around 4:45, the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the home of HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Halberstam shlit"a, rav of our Beis Medrash Beis Shmuel in Kiryas Joel, for a nichum aveilim visit following the matzeiva unveiling of his father, HaGaon, the chassid R' Yekusiel Zalman Yom Tov Lipa Halberstam zt"l, Av Beis Din of Chakova. The entire family of the sons of the Av Beis Din of Chakova zt"l was present. A lengthy conversation developed about stories and episodes of the great forebears of the house of Sanz-Sinever, and the Rebbe wished words of consolation.

Around 5:45 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

During the entry times, a 'distribution' took place through R' Moshe Yaakov Yosef Brach, in which close to half a million dollars was distributed to several groups of rabbonim and learners of our kollelim from Kiryas Joel and Williamsburg, after they were tested on various subjects by the rabbonim of our kehilla and by the HaGaon HaGadol, the Dayan and Moreh Tzedek of Kiryas Joel shlit"a.
Several nigunim were sung and the Rebbe distributed the money to the rabbonim and learners of the kollel. The Rebbe drank lechayim and bestowed from his holy blessings, and delivered a few brief words of holy Torah about the importance of those who learn Torah, concluding with words of blessing that we should merit to complete more subjects.

Likewise, a commencement of the writing of a Sefer Torah took place, written by the chassid R' Yehoshua Hersh HaKohen Glick. The Rebbe wrote in the letters, drank lechayim and bestowed from his holy blessings.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim in his holy home for the mechutanim R' Aharon Schwartz and R' Shlomo Zalman Gelb.

The Rebbe davened Maariv around 12:30, and after Maariv set out for Shikun Skver to participate in the wedding simcha at the home of his brother-in-law, the Skver Rebbe shlit"a, the bride being the daughter of his son-in-law, the Zvehil Rebbe shlit"a.

Upon arriving in Monsey, the Rebbe shlit"a first went into the Sinever beis medrash, where the Rebbe comforted the mourners, the sons of the Sinever Rebbe zt"l. A lengthy conversation ensued about stories of tzaddikim, and the Rebbe wished words of consolation.

Around 1:40 the Rebbe arrived at the wedding simcha in the great tent in front of the Beis Medrash HaGadol in Shikun Skver. The Rebbe greeted his brother-in-law the Skver Rebbe shlit"a and his brother-in-law the Vizhnitz Rebbe of Eretz Yisroel shlit"a, and all the distinguished rabbonim. The Rebbe drank lechayim and warmly wished mazel tov to the chassan, the mechutanim, and the distinguished grandfathers and rabbonim. The Skver Rebbe shlit"a honored the Rebbe shlit"a with dancing the mitzvah tanz before the kallah. The Rebbe fulfilled the holy dancing, and afterward danced extra with the chassan and with the Skver and Vizhnitz Rebbes shlit"a, and then danced with the Zvehil Rebbe shlit"a, the father of the kallah, for an extended time.

Around 2:10 the Rebbe set out on the way home to his holy home in Kiryas Joel.
