Tonight, the great wedding simcha takes place in our holy courts. The kallah is a granddaughter of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, daughter of the son-in-law of the Rebbe, HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Rav and Rosh Beis Din of Ohel Piga shlit"a, son of the Dushinsky Rebbe shlit"a.

The chosson is Rabbi Yeshaya shlit"a, son of HaRav R' Aryeh Menachem Mendel Rubin shlit"a, son of HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Yechezkel Shraga Rubin shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Tomashov shlit"a (in Boro Park), and son-in-law of HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Monsey shlit"a.

At 4:45 in the afternoon the Rebbe shlit"a will enter for Mincha davening in the main beis medrash in Kiryas Joel, and afterwards the kehilla will pass through in a line to bless and be blessed on the day of the chuppah. Immediately afterward the Rebbe shlit"a will appear at the reception in the main beis medrash. The chuppah will take place in front of the main beis medrash, with the Rebbe's appearance immediately after the chuppah. Birkas Hamazon will be at 11:00, and afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a will dance the mitzvah tantz.

Monday, Parshas Vayeira — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the main hall of the Mesivta, Divrei Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Moshe Yitzchak Bernstein.
During the Torah reading the Rebbe went up for Hagbah, and after the daily chapters of Tehillim, the Rebbe recited the order of Tehillim chapters that was designated to be said today by the Posek HaDor U'Mara D'Ara Kadisha shlit"a, together with the Beis Din Tzedek of the Eida HaChareidis in the holy city of Yerushalayim, may it be rebuilt, in light of the war situation in Eretz Yisroel, and after that the Rebbe recited the "Achienu Kol Beis Yisroel" prayer for our brethren of the entire house of Israel who are in distress, etc.

After davening the Rebbe taught the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 18, verse 31. Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.

In the afternoon at around 5:00 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

At around 5:40 the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the Yismach Moshe beis medrash, where the Rebbe delivered the opening-of-the-zman address in honor of the start of the winter zman to the 1,263 bochurim, may they live, from the 7 branches of the holy Mesivta in Kiryas Melech, Kiryas Joel, may it be rebuilt. The main hall of the beis medrash was set up with only benches, with hundreds of additional small benches added in order to accommodate the thousands of talmidim of the Mesivta.

The Rebbe began with a lengthy discourse on the parsha, explaining in various ways in the words of aggadah, combined with words of mussar and chizuk, regarding the three pillars of the world: Torah, avodah and gemilus chasadim. The Rebbe encouraged going to the mikvah every day, spoke about the beauty of the Shabbosos in the yeshiva, especially the Ra'avah D'Ra'avin seudah, and about guarding oneself from the devices. The Rebbe also strengthened the takanah of the founder of the yeshiva, the Holy Rebbe zy"a, not to attend weddings, and spoke of the merit the bochurim have to learn in the yeshiva of the Holy Rebbe zy"a.

Afterwards the Rebbe expanded his words on matters of emavah and da'as in the teachings of the Holy Rebbe zy"a, because of the terrible events of the time, may Hashem protect us, in Eretz Yisroel and in the Diaspora. He spoke of the great pain over those killed and all the victims, even those who are not Torah and mitzvah observers, but when a gentile has killed them it is a different matter. Hakadosh Baruch Hu is pained by the suffering of Israel, and every Jew must feel pain. In this connection the Rebbe recalled a talk of the Holy Rebbe, the Divrei Yoel zy"a, during the Second World War about rescuing the refugees of Poland, that one must help all refugees, even those who do not observe Torah and mitzvos, and how he expressed himself in Lashon Hakodesh in Divrei Yoel: "A Jew, even though he has sinned, is still a Jew."

The Rebbe spoke at length about the directive of the Holy Rebbe zy"a that in such a time one must pray for the rescue of the Jews, but, Heaven forbid, not for the success of the Zionists; Hashem is all-powerful. Then the Rebbe expressed with pain that, unfortunately, while Hakadosh Baruch Hu is pained over those killed from Klal Yisroel, there are, unfortunately, Jews who are pained more that "my strength and the might of my hand" suffered such a humiliation and the blow it took to the ones they relied on. This is indeed our satisfaction, the tremendous humiliation it caused before the whole world; the shame and anger over this are very great. The arrogance, the heretical slogan of "Israel trusts in the IDF" took a strong blow, and a personal blow to the head of the heretics.

The Rebbe went on with concern over what revenge campaigns can, Heaven forbid, bring about. One must know that on one side stand cruel murderers, murderers of bodies, but on the other side stand murderers of souls; "one who causes another to sin is worse than one who kills him," which is much worse than the murderers of bodies. The Rebbe concluded with a prayer to the Guardian of Israel to have mercy on all of Klal Yisroel in all their places of dwelling, and blessed all with abundant blessings. It ended at around 6:50.

In the evening the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a officiated at kiddushin at the chuppahs of the following mechutanim.

During the zmanei kenisa, a kesivas ha'osios took place for the Sefer Torah being written by R' Elimelech Shlomo Schwartz. The Rebbe wrote in the letters, drank lechayim, and bestowed from his holy blessings.

The Lizhensk Rebbe of Monsey, HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Shimon Stern shlit"a, also came for a visit with the Rebbe on the occasion of the tenaim celebration of his son, the chosson, who should be well, which took place in the hall adjacent to the Rebbe's holy home. A fine conversation ensued, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessings upon him.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim in the tenaim room in his holy home, for the mechutanim the Lizhensk Rebbe of Monsey shlit"a and R' Mordechai Matisyahu Halpert shlit"a.

During the zmanei kenisa, a group of bochurim from our community who helped at the maamadim b'tzeil hakodesh throughout the month of Tishrei that just passed came in. The Rebbe bestowed his holy blessings upon them and distributed a gift, a Birkas Moshe zemiros book.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:00.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Lech Lecha — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Friday night at around 6:30, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha and Kabbalas Shabbos. The chazzan was R' Moshe Friedrich.

The davening ended at around 8:10. After davening, the appeal for Kollel Tiferes Bochurim of Williamsburg took place, the congregation went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went into his private room.

At around 8:45, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Friday night seudah in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the mesivta, and began, as is his holy custom, to sing Shalom Aleichem with emotion and sweetness.

Kah Ribon Olam: HaTzaddik R' Avrohom Ekstein shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Buenos Aires. The recent chassanim went over to take fruit, and a Sholom Zochor took place at R' Yisroel Berach"a Spitzer, where on the seventh day: R' Moshe Dovid Babor (Argentina). It ended at around 11:30.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "And I will bless you and make your name great," and explained that when Hashem helps and blessing comes into one's money, one must be careful that it be clean money. In this way one can have a true connection with the Torah and raise upright generations, because if one does not conduct business honestly, an influence enters oneself and one's children.

Yedid Nefesh: R' Yitzchak Markovitz. Kel Mistateir: R' Naftali Lebovitch shlit"a. The Rebbe blessed over the cup and recited Sheva Brachos.

Maariv of Motzei Shabbos: R' Moshe Baruch Stern. After Havdalah, people went over to wish a good week. It ended at around 8:50.
On Motzei Shabbos at around 10:30, the Rebbe shlit"a went to the home of R' Eliyahu Neustadt, where a signing of documents took place for the merit of the naming of the new Beis Rochel building in Monsey, which will be called "Binyan Eliyahu Neustadt." Rabbi Binyamin Zev Fuchs shlit"a, administrator of our holy institutions in Monsey, spoke. A pleasant conversation ensued. The Rebbe signed the documents together with the donor and the administration, drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings. Several nigunim were sung, and the Rebbe distributed shirayim to all the donor's children and grandchildren.

Afterward, the Rebbe shlit"a traveled to Monsey, where several signings of documents took place for the benefit of our holy institutions in Monsey.

First, the Rebbe shlit"a went to the home of R' Yechezkel Shraga Landau, who purchased a "zechus shaar" in the new talmud Torah building, "Binyan Goldstein." HaGaon R' Dovid Shlomo Laub shlit"a, gabbai of our holy kehilla in Monsey, spoke, and described the donor's many activities, especially for our new beis medrash near Gil. A pleasant conversation ensued. The Rebbe signed the documents together with the donor and the administration, drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings.

From there the Rebbe shlit"a went to the home of R' Hershel Wertheimer, who purchased a "zechus shaar" in the new talmud Torah building, "Binyan Goldstein." HaGaon R' Dovid Shlomo Laub shlit"a spoke and described the donor's many activities for our holy kehilla in Monsey, especially for Hischadus Avreichim. A pleasant conversation ensued. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings.

Afterward, the Rebbe shlit"a went into a side room and signed the documents together with the donor and the administration.

Afterward, another signing of documents took place there, where R' Yosef Hersh Gross purchased the merit of "Yesod HaBinyan" in the talmud Torah building. The Rebbe signed the documents and bestowed his holy blessings.

Afterward, the askanim of Hischadus Avreichim came in and delivered a report on their many activities, among them the new Sunday kollel for baalei batim, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessings.
It ended at around 12:30, and the Rebbe traveled home to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.
