Tuesday, Parshas Vayishlach — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Etz Chaim branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
The twins, sons of R' Yekusiel Menashe Wertzberger.
The bochur Zalman Leib Felberbaum.
The bochur Yosef Tuvia Gedalia Zicherman.

After davening, the Rebbe recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 19, verse 8. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Heichal of the beis medrash.

In the afternoon, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a went up to the Heichal HaYeshiva, Kedushas Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room. At around 5:10 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a traveled into Williamsburg for the weekly reception hours.

Upon arriving in Williamsburg, the Rebbe went to the Beis Rochel building, the Riesenfeld building on Sanford Street, and went in to view the work being done to complete the new, magnificent wedding hall called 'Gineis Esther,' which is currently in the final phase of decoration and will eventually, b'ezras Hashem, serve for beautiful weddings, for the simcha of our community, at an upscale yet affordable standard.

The Rebbe viewed the entire hall and the work being done, and received a report from the energetic administrator R' Yoel Weltz together with the contractor R' Yitzchak Berkowitz on how much work remains to be completed with splendor and glory in time for the coming wedding season, when reservations will begin to be accepted b'siyata d'Shmaya. The Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing for success.

The reception hours in Kiryas Joel ran from around 8:30 until 12:05 at night, in the Rebbe's holy home on Hughes St.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 10:55, and afterwards continued receiving the public.

After the reception hours, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a went to a lechayim celebration at the home of HaGaon Rabbi Meir Halberstam shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Kshanov and moreh tzedek in our magnificent beis medrash in the Brach building, on the occasion of the wedding of his daughter, mazel tov.
A pleasant conversation ensued; the Rebbe drank lechayim and warmly bestowed his holy blessings upon the chosson, the mechutanim, and the entire family.

Then, at around 12:30, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a traveled to Boro Park for the wedding simcha of the chosson, grandson of the distinguished, devoted R' Menashe Horowitz shlit"a, rav of the Ligelitz beis medrash, and a grandson of the holy Rebbe, the Etz Chaim zy"a.

At around 12:50 the Rebbe arrived at the wedding simcha in the halls of Ateres Chai. The Rebbe drank lechayim and wished mazel tov to the chosson, the mechutanim and all the grandfathers. Then the badchan, R' Pinchas Mordechai Weber, called the Rebbe up to the mitzvah tantz. The Rebbe danced the mitzvah tantz before the kallah, and afterwards danced with the chosson, the grandfathers and the mechutanim.

At around 1:10 the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a traveled home to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.

Monday, Parshas Vayishlach — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Divrei Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
the son of R' Neta Moskowitz shlit"a (Williamsburg).
the bochur Avrohom Chaim Laub (Boro Park).
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went to the hagbah.

After davening, the Rebbe led the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 19, verse 3, and spoke at length about the 7 paths that the government in New York has put forward to carry out the chinuch decree, saying that these are the 7 names of the yetzer hara, and that every path is an enormous danger. He proclaimed passionately, "We, our mosdos, will not comply; sit and do nothing is preferable." At the same time he called out to all upright mosdos: "I call upon everyone who has fear of Hashem in his heart — the administrations of other mosdos should not allow themselves to be persuaded by the askanim who have let themselves be sold to the Satan and who flatter the administrators." If all the chassidic mosdos take the same stance toward the government, that we do not comply and do not let them in, then with the power of the public, b'ezras Hashem, we will succeed.

Afterward, a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

In the afternoon the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the Heichal HaYeshiva, Beirach Moshe branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room, and at around 5:00 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

During the afternoon hours the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the new home of his grandson HaGaon R' Zalman Teitelbaum shlit"a, rav of the Beis Menachem Zev beis medrash in the Veyoel Moshe neighborhood. The Rebbe affixed a mezuzah, after which a lechayim gathering took place; a pleasant conversation developed, and the Rebbe imparted of his holy blessing.

In the evening the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim:
HaGaon R' Wolf Aharon Teller shlit"a - R' Moshe Goldberger, at Kinor David hall.
R' Mordechai Yitzchak Moskowitz (Williamsburg) - R' Yitzchak Palatchek, at Beis Rachel Paradise hall.

After the chuppos, at around 8:00, the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the halls of Keren Veyoel Moshe for the Sheva Brachos simcha, hosted by the administration of the holy community of Kiryas Joel in honor of the Shabbos gabbai HaRav HaChasid R' Chaim Shlomo Fischer, as an expression of gratitude for his many services to our holy kehilla. The distinguished leaders of the community, the gabbaim and members of the kehilla's administration, and the leading askanim of the kehilla were invited. HaRav HaChasid R' Dovid Eckstein of Eretz Yisroel spoke. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and wished the entire public well, and delivered brief words of blessing about the importance of being involved in the needs of the public, concluding with his holy blessing. Afterward the Rebbe rose and danced. It concluded at around 8:25.

After Maariv, the Rebbe shlit"a went back over to the wedding simcha of the kallah, daughter of the mechutan R' Chaim Shlomo Fischer. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings, and after Birkas Hamazon recited the Sheva Brachos, then danced the mitzvah tantz before the kallah, and danced with the chassan and the mechutanim.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Vayeira 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Erev Shabbos afternoon, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a placed the shtreimel on the chassan Yisroel Meir, son of R' Yoel Eckstein shlit"a.

On Friday night at around 5:05, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Moshe Yisroel Schwartz (Williamsburg). The davening concluded at around 6:40.
After davening, an appeal was held for Talmud Torah Bas Ayin in the holy city of Tzfas, the congregation went over to wish a gut Shabbos, and the Rebbe went home to his holy residence.

At around 8:35, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the tish in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidei hamesivta, and began, as is his holy custom, with Shalom Aleichem with emotion and sweetness.
Eishes Chayil: the grandson of the Rebbe's brother, the chassan Meir Eliezer t"b, son of HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Rav of the beis medrash, Rabbi Berach Moshe shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: Rabbi Uri Halberstam shlit"a (Monsey); Menucha V'Simcha: R' Betzalel Tussig (Yerushalayim).

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "And she said, Hashem has taken away my disgrace," and explained, in the manner of a derush, the sugya of kinyan peiros k'kinyan haguf.

Kah Echsof: R' Anshil Ilowitz (Bnei Brak); Birkas Hamazon: R' Tzvi Akiva Breitstein, president of our kehilla and holy mosdos in Beit Shemesh.

Stories: This week the Rebbe shlit"a told a story related to the parsha about the holy R' Meir of Premishlan zy"a, and, one thing leading to another, more stories about R' Meirel zy"a.

On Shabbos morning, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash at around 9:20. Pesukei D'Zimra: R' Yisroel Knopfler; the Rebbe approached the amud for Shacharis.

The Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Mincha and Shalosh Seudos at around 5:00. Mincha: R' Yisroel Spitzer. Hotza'ah and Hachnasah: R' Binyamin Hirsch. Kohen: R' Hirtzka Kohn. Levi: R' Shmuel Berger (Williamsburg). Shlishi: R' Dovid Shlomo Berger. Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a. Gelilah: R' Bentzion Zeldan.

The Rebbe honored people with the zemiros at Shalosh Seudos. Odeh: R' Noach Gafen; Shir HaMaalos: R' Moshe Goldstein.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "And Yaakov went out from Be'er Sheva," and explained that Yaakov Avinu at first held that if one has, chas v'shalom, sunk into the 50 gates of impurity, there is no hope of recovery; it was then revealed to him that no, "Hashem is indeed in this place" — even when one is in the deepest darkness, through the holy Torah one can emerge from there, and one must never lose hope.

Yedid Nefesh: R' Zalman Leib Glick (Williamsburg); Kel Mistatter: R' Yeshaya Sander Glick (Monsey). The Rebbe blessed over the cup and recited Sheva Brachos.

Maariv of Motzei Shabbos: R' Moshe Goldberger. After Havdalah, the congregation went over to wish a gutte voch. The davening concluded at around 7:25.

Immediately after Havdalah, the Rebbe shlit"a comforted the mourner R' Zalman Leib Kapel on the passing of his mother a"h.
In our holy kehilla in Boro Park, the annual dinner "Haben Yakir Li" took place for the benefit of our holy mosdos, with their thousands of children, bli ayin hara, in the halls of Ateres Chaya in the city.
At around 10:55, the nasi of the mosdos, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, was received. The honored speaker, HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Avrohom Shmuel Englander shlit"a, dayan of our magnificent beis medrash in Lakewood, concluded his address; also speaking were HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din of Boro Park, shlit"a, and the director of the mosdos, R' Aharon Weltz.

The Rebbe shlit"a then delivered holy words, and after the divrei Torah spoke in praise of the mosdos in Boro Park, and spoke about the expansion of the borders of kedusha, which is growing in quantity and quality, in the talmud torah, Beis Rachel, the kollel, and the entire kehilla. He shared the news of the finalized purchase for the beis medrash, mikvah, heichal haTorah, and a beis horaah on the enormous property on 18th Avenue. He also announced the good news that a third yeshiva ketana will open under the administration of our holy mosdos in Boro Park, which will be based in Lakewood with a dormitory and a full schedule, and will be led by the HaGaon HaTzaddik, dayan of our Lakewood kehilla, shlit"a.
The Rebbe then spoke words of preparation for Yom Tov Chanukah, to prepare for the Yom Tov with warmth by engaging in the holy sefarim, especially by learning the holy sefer Kedushas Levi until Chanukah as preparation for the Yom Tov, and concluded with his holy blessings. The event concluded at around 12:05.

After the dinner, the Rebbe shlit"a went to the Sheva Brachos simcha of the granddaughter of the Munkatch Rebbe shlit"a, the kallah, daughter of his son-in-law HaGaon R' Yosef Horowitz shlit"a, Rosh Kollel Chaim V'Shalom Munkatch, held at the home of the distinguished philanthropist R' Alter Asher Yisroel Frankel, director of Talmud Torah Munkatch. A lengthy conversation took place with stories of tzaddikim; the Rebbe drank l'chaim and shared of his holy blessings, and then went out to a holy dance with the Munkatch Rebbe shlit"a and then with the chassan and the mechutanim.

During the Sheva Brachos, the Rebbe greeted HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Mordechai Gelber shlit"a, Rav of the Munkatch beis medrash in Bnei Brak, who was present for the simcha in the holy court of Munkatch, where he conveyed a warm greeting from our holy kehilla in Bnei Brak, and the Rebbe shared of his holy blessing with him.

At around 12:45, the Rebbe left the Sheva Brachos on his way home to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.
