Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Vayechi — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Erev Shabbos afternoon, the Rebbe put the shtreimel on the chassanim:
The chassan Binyomin Zeida, son of Avrohom Shmuel Friedlander.
The chassan Menachem Mendel, son of Yaakov Kellner.

On Friday night at around 5:10, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: HaRav HaGaon R' Hershel Friedman shlit"a, Dayan and Moreh Tzedek of Sharmash, Williamsburg.
Davening ended at around 6:45, the congregation went over to wish a gut Shabbos, and the Rebbe went home to his holy residence.

At around 8:35 the Rebbe entered the Shabbos seudah in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the Mesivta, and began, as is his holy custom, with Shalom Aleichem, with feeling and sweetness.
Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the chassan Meir Eliezer, may he be well, son of HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Baruch Moshe shlit"a, Rav of the beis medrash. Lifting of the cup: HaRav HaChassid R' Zalman Leib Kappel.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with leading the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: HaRav HaGaon R' Dovid Hirsch shlit"a, Moreh Tzedek in our holy kehilla in Williamsburg. Menucha V'Simcha: HaRav HaGaon R' Hershel Steinberg shlit"a (of Lakewood).

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse 'Vayechi Yaakov b'eretz Mitzrayim' and explained, by way of derush, the topic of why the number of Yaakov's years is an atonement.

For Mincha and Seudah Shlishis the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 5:15. Mincha: R' Yaakov Moshe Mittelman. Hotzaah and Hachnasah: HaRav HaChassid R' Naftali Yaakov Wertzberger. Kohen: HaRav HaChassid R' Shmuel Binyomin Landau (Williamsburg). Levi: HaRav HaChassid R' Moshe Wertzberger (Montreal). Shlishi: HaRav HaChassid R' Anshil Lichtenstein (Williamsburg). Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a. Gelilah: HaRav HaChassid R' Yoel Mushulam Zusha Schwartz (Monsey).

At Seudah Shlishis the Rebbe honored people with leading the zemiros. Odeh: HaRav HaChassid R' Noach Gefen. Shir HaMaalos: HaRav HaChassid R' Moshe Goldstein.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah, with great arousal, on the verse 'Vayikra Yaakov el banav vayomer he'asfu v'agidah lachem es asher yikra eschem b'acharis hayamim,' and explained, in words of admonition, that Yaakov Avinu drew down all the souls of Bnei Yisroel until our day and spoke to them words that come from the heart. But a heart must be present so that they can enter the heart. Through immersion in the mikvah a new heart is created, and so one can stand to daven and engage in teshuva, especially now in the days of Shovavim, which were established for teshuva and rectification of deeds.

Before Maariv, the Rebbe shlit"a greeted HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Shmuel Binyomin Krausz shlit"a, Nasi of Yeshivas Toras Chesed of London, who is currently visiting Kiryas Joel.

Maariv for Motzei Shabbos: HaRav HaChassid R' Elisha Horowitz. After Havdalah the congregation went over to wish a gut voch. It ended at around 7:40.

After Havdalah, the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the home of HaRav HaChassid R' Yoel Levinger on the occasion of his daughter's engagement, mazel tov. There a signing of the documents took place, at which R' Yoel purchased the merit of a floor in the new building of Yeshivas Kinyan Torah in Monsey for the enormous sum of 360 thousand dollars. The Rebbe signed the documents together with the donor, drank lechayim, and bestowed his holy blessings.

In his holy residence, a group of bochurim, talmidim of the Beis Medrash Gavoha of Bobov 45, who had come to spend Shabbos in the Rebbe's presence, entered together. The Rebbe asked them about their studies and bestowed his holy blessings.

At around 9:30, at his holy residence, the beginning of the writing of a Sefer Torah took place, being written by HaRav HaChassid R' Avrohom Shalom Landau and his sons, l'iluy nishmas their son/brother HaRav HaChassid R' Lipa a"h. The Rebbe wrote the first letter, drank lechayim, and bestowed his holy blessings.

Afterwards, at his holy residence, the first of a series of gatherings took place, which the Rebbe convened with the leading members of our community, to strengthen our holy kehillos and holy mosdos in Eretz Yisroel, may it be rebuilt and established. The Rebbe laid the foundation of a group of major supporters who will be partners in a fund called 'Lev Aharon,' to serve as a foundation for the holy mosdos and all their projects in Eretz Yisroel.

Thursday, Parshas Vayechi — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning before Shacharis, the following brissim took place:
For the newborn son of R' Aharon, son of R' Yosef Eckstein, where the Rebbe was the sandek.
For the newborn son of R' Yonah Rottenberg, where the Rebbe was the sandek.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. During the Torah reading, the Rebbe was called up as Shlishi, and after davening he delivered a shiur on a sugya in the yeshiva shiurim.

In the afternoon at around 5:15, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy residence.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim.
R' Gavriel Avrohom Babior (Argentina) - R' Eliyahu Shabsai Shmaya a"h, at Kinor Dovid Hall.
HaGaon R' Yehuda Ber Teller shlit"a (Williamsburg) - R' Yisroel, son of R' Aryeh Schwartz, at Beis Rachel Paradise Hall.

The yechidus hours were from around 8:00 until 12:15 at night, in the Rebbe's holy residence on Uhel Court.

During the yechidus hours, talmidim of the Yeshiva Gedolah Krali of Williamsburg entered. The Rebbe tested the bochurim on Hilchos Shechita, and a lovely conversation developed in which the Rebbe spoke about topics in shechita, after the bochurim had paid a visit to the mehudar slaughterhouse. Afterwards, the bochurim went over to receive the Rebbe's blessing.

Wednesday, Parshas Vayechi — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Yoel Moshe branch. After davening, the Rebbe learned the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 19, verse 10.

In the afternoon at around 5:20, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy residence.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim.
