Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Bo — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, in the resort city of Palm Springs, California

On Friday afternoon at around 4:00, when the visible sunset occurs, the Rebbe shlit"a, as is his custom, ceased from work.

On Friday night at around 5:40, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the local beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos was led by the Rebbe's grandson, Rabbi Yisroel Yaakov Yukel shlit"a of Williamsburg.
The davening ended at around 7:00. The congregation went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe walked home to his holy residence.

At the Friday night seudah at his holy residence, the doors were opened to the public at around 9:30.
The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: R' Dovid Eckstein; Menucha V'Simcha: HaGaon Rabbi Moshe Baruch Silber shlit"a, author of Birchas Moshe, son of the Gaon Av Beis Din of Friedman shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Kehal adas Yisroel bein ha'arbayim" and explained it in the manner of a derush in the sugya of "shnayim she'osuhu."

Stories and anecdotes: This week the Rebbe shlit"a told over about the holy Gaon, the Pnei Yehoshua zy"a, whose yahrzeit falls on Wednesday, 10 Shevat.

Kah Ribon Olam: R' Avrohom Dovid Wagschal shlit"a (Monsey). After the fruit, bundles were brought in in honor of the Shalom Zachor simcha of the Rebbe's grandson, Rabbi Yechezkel Shraga shlit"a, son of the Gaon, Rav of the beis medrash Bereich Moshe shlit"a, and they sang in honor of the simcha.

On Shabbos Kodesh Day

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash at around 9:30. Pesukei Dezimra: R' Michel Feldman. The Rebbe shlit"a then approached the amud for Shacharis.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "V'higadta l'bincha bayom hahu," explaining that teshuva is aided by the power of emunah, but when one damages in matters of kedusha, one loses emunah in the brain. During these weeks when the account of Yetzias Mitzrayim is read, emunah increases among Jewish children, and one can come to teshuva for all matters.

Thursday 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At around 8:00 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Shacharis. Baal tefillah: R' Avrohom Tzvi Menachem Unger.
Pesicha: R' Moshe Menachem Daskal (Monsey). Kohen: HaRav HaTzaddik R' Yitzchak Tzvi Weiss shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Uhel. Levi: R' Shlomo Moshe Klagsbrun (Kiryas Joel). Shlishi: the Rebbe shlit"a. Hagbah: R' Wolf Schnitzer (Kiryas Joel). Gelilah: R' Yaakov Dovid Hoffman (London).

After Shacharis the Rebbe walked home to his holy residence, and a pleasant conversation was held about the latest scandal of the invalid sifrei Torah.

In the afternoon at around 5:40 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Mincha. Baal tefillah: R' Wolf Schnitzer. Between Mincha and Maariv the Rebbe was engaged in his learning, and at the time of Rabbeinu Tam Maariv was davened, and after Maariv the Rebbe sanctified the moon in front of the beis medrash.

Tuesday, 6 Shevat, yahrzeit of Maran HaGaon HaKadosh the Eitz Chaim zy"a, "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At around 8:00 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Shacharis. The Rebbe lit 5 candles and went to the amud. After davening, a lechayim gathering took place on the occasion of the yahrzeit. The Rebbe drank lechayim and related incidents and stories about the Baal HaHilula zy"a for an extended time.

In the afternoon hours the Rebbe connected by telephone with the esteemed philanthropist R' Avrohom Yuda Goldberger, wishing him mazel tov on the wedding of his daughter, and thanked him for the large support he gave in honor of his simcha to all the Torah teachers of the Kiryas Joel mosdos and all the rebbeim of the Mesivta. The Rebbe warmly blessed him with abundant brachos.

In the late afternoon at around 4:30 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for Mincha at the home of R' Moshe Falkowitz. The Rebbe lit 5 candles and went to the amud.
After Mincha the Rebbe arranged his holy table in honor of the yahrzeit. The Rebbe washed for the seudah. During the seudah, the niggunim that were sung by the Baal HaHilula zy"a were sung. With a Michtam LeDovid, the Rebbe honored HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Reishis Chochmah, shlit"a.
The Rebbe shlit"a delivered a lengthy dvar Torah on the verse "Also our livestock shall go with us… for from it we shall take to serve Hashem," and spoke about the teachings of the Baal HaHilula zy"a, and then continued with holy stories for an extended time.
The Rebbe led the bentching over a cup; it ended at around 6:30.
Afterwards Maariv was davened. Baal tefillah: R' Avrohom Tzvi Menachem Unger.

At around 8:00 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Shacharis. Baal tefillah: R' Avrohom Tzvi Menachem Unger (Shikun Skver).

After Shacharis the Rebbe took a walk home to his holy residence, and a beautiful conversation was held about stories of tzaddikim and various customs in the courts of the tzaddikim.

In the late afternoon at around 5:40 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Mincha. Baal tefillah: R' Avrohom Tzvi Menachem Unger. Between Mincha and Maariv the Rebbe was engaged in his learning,
and at the time of Rabbeinu Tam, around 6:15, he davened Maariv. The Rebbe lit 5 candles and went to the amud on the occasion of the holy hilula of his ancestor, the Eitz Chaim zy"a.
