Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Beshalach, Shabbos Shira — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a in the resort city of Palm Springs, California

Friday afternoon at about 4:03, at the time of the visible sunset (shkiyas hachama), the Rebbe shlit"a, as is his custom, ceased from work.

Friday night at about 5:40 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha with great fervor. Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Dovid Chananya Weiss shlit"a (Kiryas Joel).
The davening concluded at about 7:10, the congregation went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe walked home to his holy residence.

At the Shalah tish in his holy residence, the doors were opened to the public at about 9:30.
The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: R' Avrohom Dovid Wagschal shlit"a; Menucha V'Simcha: the Rebbe's grandson Rabbi Chaim Tzvi Teitelbaum shlit"a, son of the Rav of the beis medrash, HaGaon Rabbi Berach Moshe shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "U'vnei Yisroel yotzim b'yad ramah" and explained, in the manner of derush, the sugya of "shelo k'derech ha'achila."

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash at about 9:35. The Rebbe approached the amud for Pesukei D'Zimra and Shacharis, and led the recital of Hallel HaGadol and the Shira, verse by verse, with burning enthusiasm.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Vayehi b'shalach Par'oh es ha'am," explaining that even when one must do teshuva for various sins, since it came with a groan (krechtz) at the time of the act, there is already regret, and teshuva helps for everything.

Thursday, 15 Shevat — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At around 8:00 the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Shacharis.

Towards evening, at around 5:25, the Rebbe shlit"a entered for Mincha. Baal Tefillah: R' Yoel Weinberger (Kiryas Joel).

After Mincha, a lechayim gathering and fruit tish took place in honor of Tu BiShevat. Songs of inspiration and joy were sung. The Rebbe tasted from the dates and the etrog compote, drank lechayim and gave blessings to the entire kehilla, and the singing of Tu BiShevat songs continued.
The Rebbe shlit"a delivered a Torah discourse and explained why fruits are eaten on Tu BiShevat. At the end of his words he brought out that Tu BiShevat is the time to pray for upright children, and he concluded with abundant blessings for the entire kehilla.
Afterwards the Rebbe made Borei Pri HaGafen and wished lechayim to the entire kehilla, saying that it is Rosh Hashana, and blessed them with "a good, blessed year." The tish ended at around 6:30.

After the tish, Maariv was davened. Baal Tefillah: R' Shimon Kaufman (Kiryas Joel).

In his holy home, the Rebbe blessed dates that were sent to the talmidim of the Yeshiva Gedolah, Shiur Daled.
