Tonight, the great wedding simcha takes place in our holy courts. The kallah is the granddaughter of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, daughter of his son-in-law HaGaon Rabbi, rav of Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a.
The chosson is a grandson of the holy Rebbe, the Beirach Moshe zy"a, son of HaRav R' Tzvi Hirsch Meisels shlit"a, rav of our Beis Medrash Beis Nachum Dov in Williamsburg, son of HaGaon, Av Beis Din of Montreal shlit"a, and son-in-law of HaGaon R' Leibush Teitelbaum zt"l, dayan and Yoel Moshe.

At 4:45 in the afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a will enter for Mincha in the Beis Medrash HaGadol in Kiryas Joel, and afterward the public will cross over in a line to bless and be blessed on the day of the chuppah. Immediately afterward, the Rebbe shlit"a will appear at the reception in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. The chuppah will take place in front of the Beis Medrash HaGadol, with the Rebbe's appearance immediately after the chuppah. Birkas Hamazon will be at 11:00, and afterward the Rebbe shlit"a will conduct the lively mitzvah dance.

Tuesday, Parshas Terumah — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. Before davening, the Rebbe put on tefillin for the bar mitzvah bochurim.

After davening, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room. Also present at the lechayim was HaGaon R' Dovid Shaper shlit"a, Rosh Yeshivas Oraisa in Eretz Yisroel, and a pleasant conversation developed about the situation of the yeshivos for older bochurim in Eretz Yisroel.

After Shacharis, at around 12:00, the Rebbe arrived at the burial place of our holy Rebbes zy"a on the occasion of the wedding simcha in our holy courts, to be held tomorrow, Wednesday, in the Beis Medrash HaGadol in Kiryas Joel. Upon arriving at the cemetery, the Rebbe recited the blessing. The Rebbe lit 5 candles at the graves of the holy Rebbe, the Divrei Yoel, and the Beirach Moshe zy"a, and at the grave of his mother, the Rebbetzin a"h. The Rebbe recited the tefilla of the Yismach Moshe zy"a and recited the chapters of the fourth book of Tehillim as is customary. Afterward, the Rebbe said Kaddish and read kvitelach for an extended time while songs of inspiration were sung. Then the Rebbe prostrated himself at the graves of our holy Rebbes and of his mother, the Rebbetzin a"h. They concluded at around 12:45.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe went up to the Heichal HaYeshiva, Divrei Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the yeshiva's students in his private room. At 6:00 he davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a traveled to Williamsburg for the weekly reception hours.
The reception hours at his holy residence on Hooper St. lasted from around 8:30 until 12:45 after midnight.

During the reception hours, HaGaon R' Zalman Leib Weisz shlit"a, son of the Av Beis Din of Boro Park shlit"a, entered to receive the Rebbe's holy blessings on the occasion of the wedding of his daughter, the kallah, coming up on the 3rd of Ki Sisa, and the Rebbe graciously blessed him.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:50, and then continued receiving the public.

Monday, Parshas Terumah — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Divrei Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put on tefillin for the bar mitzvah bochurim.

During the Torah reading, the Rebbe was called up as shlishi, and after davening he learned the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 19, verse 10. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the morning hours the Rebbe went on his weekly visit to the mehudar slaughterhouse.

In the afternoon hours, a lengthy meeting took place in his holy home, called by the Rebbe shlit"a, with the askanim and administration of Kiryas Joel and the employees of the Kiryas Joel Village, to discuss how to find realistic and legal solutions to lower apartment prices.
The Rebbe went over the figures of the properties and apartments, current and future, within the Kiryas Joel Village and in outside areas, and examined the situation accordingly. They discussed at length, in great detail, where the need is greatest in the short term, and what emergency options can be found to solve the problem, so that young couples (may they live) will find a place of rest, a roof over their heads without an ocean of debts, and so that Kiryas Joel will again be a guide for other developers and communities on how to break the high market that is beyond what is humanly possible to live with.
They discussed the options for a quick solution "on the minute" to bring immediate relief, in addition to the plans for affordable apartments and annexations. Several new ideas were raised, and the Rebbe determined that as soon as the details of the ideas, figures and legalities become clear, they should convene again and move forward.

In the afternoon at around 6:00, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim:

Thousands of Jews Gather Together in Jubilation

The city of Kiryas Joel experienced with elevated emotions the glowing continuation and wondrous expansion of the spiritual strength in the Satmar holy city, at the festive, majestic and exalted 'Kehilla Kedosha' gathering, where the thousands of residents of the city "great unto Hashem," Kiryas Joel, may it be protected, all of this holy kehilla, together gave voice in song and thanksgiving, in praise and tribute, marking a full 'jubilee' since the founding of the holy city of Kiryas Joel, which has grown and flourished with an extraordinary elevation of the power of holiness.
In the midst of the congregation, the thousands of residents of the city and members of the kehilla celebrated the historic milestone of fifty years of the holy community of Kiryas Joel, founded by the holy Rebbe, the Divrei Yoel zy"a, in the year 5734, which is continued with grandeur and strength by the leader of this holy place, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.

The enormous 20,000 square feet of the great beis medrash of Kiryas Joel and its adjoining halls were masterfully arranged to accommodate the many thousands of members of this holy kehilla. The women's shuls were also opened, with room for the hundreds of bochurim to take part in the gathering.
A rich 'Kehilla Kedosha' booklet was published especially for the event, with a broad discussion of the city's flourishing growth.

At the appointed time, the chairman of the event, Rabbi Meir Mordechai Berkowitz, opened the gathering, and a rich presentation about the city of Kiryas Joel took place.
Afterwards, a 'panel' was held with directors of institutions within the kehilla.

Afterwards, HaGaon R' Wolf Aharon Teller shlit"a, director of the Beis Horaah of Kiryas Joel, spoke about everything relating to the Beis Horaah and the halachic committees of all the divisions.

Afterwards, the address of the event was delivered by the Rav and Av Beis Din shlit"a, who spoke of the excellence of the city of Kiryas Joel in every respect, bli ayin hara, and the privilege of living in such a place which, despite the difficult past, has built itself into such a holy empire, with a leader for 40 years, with tremendous power of holiness.
Afterwards, HaChassid R' Dovid Eckstein, the Rebbe's gabbai, spoke.

At about 11:05 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived in the beis medrash, and HaChassid R' Dovid Eckstein continued with his address and expressed gratitude to all the askanim of the holy city of Kiryas Joel, and in particular to HaChassid R' Avrohom Wieder, the Rebbe's gabbai and mayor, and to HaChassid R' Gedalya Segadin. He called R' Avrohom up to receive his token of appreciation. Afterwards R' Dovid presented the gigantic, massive plans for the mighty, multi-storied 'magnificent building' to be added to the great beis medrash, and a booklet with the first plans of the project was distributed.
Afterwards the leader of the place, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, delivered lengthy holy words and guidance for the city. The Rebbe cited the Tanna Devei Eliyahu: 'At the moment Israel said "we will do and we will hear," Hashem immediately said, "Let them take for Me a donation,"' and explained it in the way of aggadah in several ways. He spoke at length in praise of the askanim and donors of the past, present and future for the expansion of the borders of holiness, in quantity and quality,
and he emphasized that everyone becomes a partner in the central fund for the city, which is like the gold for the Menorah in the Beis Hamikdash. 'And the Mishkan shall be one': everyone who has a share receives the holy influences of 'all the parts' of the entire Mishkan! When someone donates to the kehilla, he has a share in 'everything' that is done in the entire expanded city. Every donor and askan, in any effort for the expansion of the borders of holiness, has a share in all of it. Everything is one purpose: the expansion of the borders of holiness in this holy kehilla.
Afterwards the Rebbe spoke about several matters on the agenda.
Sanctity of the city: Kiryas Joel is a perfection of beauty, baruch Hashem, a city full of wise men and scholars, talmidei chachamim, baalei batim, avreichim, bochurim, and modest, upright women. Everyone who lives in the city and in all its areas, if he follows the paths of the holy Rebbe, the founder of the city zy"a, as he wanted, the Rebbe is a protector for him, and the reverse, chas v'shalom. The influence of the holy Rebbe zy"a shines forth from every corner. The needs of Your people Israel are many; this one cries and that one cries. In the merit of the Torah and tefillah, Hashem will hear all the requests and fulfill them for good, for life and for peace. In this context, the Rebbe, in a child's voice and with tears, mentioned for a speedy recovery the great Gaon, the Dayan and Moreh Tzedek shlit"a, Rabbi Shalom Elyakim Getzel ben Devorah Chana, along with the other sick of Israel.
"And I distinguish between you": Unfortunately, New York wants to defile our chinuch. We tell the government that we will not accept any guidance from them about chinuch, and we will not make any changes in the chinuch that we received from our fathers and holy teachers zy"a. "Save me, please, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esav," both from the wicked of Jaffa who push the decree, and from Perel's, who takes a path of compromise.

Afterwards the Rebbe spoke at length about housing in Kiryas Joel: there are plans for future annexations of fresh areas to the village. In a few months work can begin on Woodbury [to be completed within 3 years, IY"H], and later, after another 4 years, work can begin on the annexation of Monroe (Seven Springs side). Preparatory actions are required now:
1) How to ensure that private land owners do not drive up land prices, as happened with the areas of the current developments in Kiryas Joel.
2) It is also necessary to find a way to prevent 'flipping' at higher prices, which causes developers to sell instead directly at a high price, which costs Jewish blood. In this regard, the Rebbe convened a meeting with the administration of Kiryas Joel and askanim, to find a plan for now as well, to make it easier for our community members to buy an apartment, in addition to the plan the Rebbe already announced regarding several hundred affordable apartments, IY"H.
The Rebbe concluded with warm holy blessings for all the residents of the city, the askanim of the city, and all the donors, and everyone who has a share in the city in all the best ways, and concluded with his holy blessing.

After the holy words, HaChassid R' Avrohom Yosha Glantz presented the first details of the massive project of the giant new great beis medrash building in Kiryas Joel: a main hall of 52 thousand square feet, plus 2 galleries of 35 thousand sq. ft., a total of 16,700 seats, women's section with 4,400 seats, a dining hall of 22 thousand sq. ft., 8 additional large davening rooms on the lowest floor, with another 8 large study rooms, a Heichal HaTorah with 1,200 seats, a large mikvah with 475 seats, 86 showers, and two more giant pits as large as the current 4, for a total of 6 pits.

The event ended at about 12:20, and the Rebbe shlit"a was escorted out with song and music.

Sunday, Parshas Terumah, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Several bochurim also came in to offer answers to the question the Rebbe had left unresolved before departing for the rest of the Shabbos, l'menuchas hanefesh. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the large classroom in the Heichal HaYeshiva.

In the afternoon hours, the Rebbe's brother-in-law, the Vizhnitz Rebbe of Eretz Yisroel shlit"a, paid a visit to the Rebbe shlit"a in Kiryas Joel. A pleasant conversation ensued; the Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessing.

In the afternoon, at around 6:00, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim.

During the reception hours, the Rebbe shlit"a took part in the vort of the groom, a grandson of the Toldos Tzvi of Spinka Rebbe shlit"a, to the daughter of R' Chaim Binyamin Kahana shlit"a of Spinka, Kiryas Joel, which took place in the tenaim hall in his holy home. A pleasant conversation ensued with the grandfathers; the Rebbe drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings.

The Zablitov Rebbe shlit"a also came in to Kiryas Joel to receive the Rebbe's holy blessings on the occasion of his son's wedding, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon him.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 10:15 and then continued receiving the public.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Mishpatim, Rosh Chodesh Adar I — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Friday night at around 5:55 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Beis Medrash HaGadol wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha.
After Mincha, HaGaon Rabbi Hershel Kahn shlit"a addressed the large gathering for 'Kahala Kadisha' held today, Sunday, in the Beis Medrash HaGadol in Kiryas Joel.
Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Chaim Heller. After davening, an appeal was held for a talmud torah in Kiryat Sefer in Eretz Yisroel, the holy land. The congregation went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went home to his holy residence.

At around 8:40 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Shulchan Aruch room in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the Mesivta, and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem with emotion and sweetness.
Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the chosson Yisroel Dushinsky, son of the Rav of Beis Medrash Ohel Feiga, shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: HaGaon R' Yaakov Yuda Stern shlit"a (Yerushalayim); Menucha V'Simcha: HaGaon R' Avrohom Kaiser shlit"a (Beitar).

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "And if a man schemes against his fellow to kill him with guile," and explained in the manner of a derush that teshuva is effective only for a Jew and not for a non-Jew.

Stories and anecdotes: This week the Rebbe shlit"a told over about his ancestor, our master and teacher, the holy Gaon, the Kedushas Yom Tov zy"a, whose yahrzeit was Thursday, 29 Shevat.

Kah Ribon Olam: HaGaon R' Yoel Hersh Fischer shlit"a (Williamsburg). The Rebbe shlit"a mentioned that it was the yahrzeit of the holy Gaon, the Ibn Ezra zy"a, and honored HaGaon R' Wolf Weiss shlit"a (Boro Park) with the zemer Tzamah Nafshi L'Elokim, which the Ibn Ezra composed.
The new chassanim went over to take fruit, and a Shalom Zachor was held at the home of the bochur Eliyahu Gottlieb, with the bris to be on the eighth day: R' Aharon Yosef Weiss (Boro Park). They concluded at around 11:55.

And on Shabbos Kodesh

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash at around 9:20. Pesukei D'Zimra: HaGaon R' Yisroel Shlomo Lichtenstein, a moreh tzedek in our kehilla in Boro Park. The Rebbe shlit"a approached the amud for Shacharis and Hallel.

Hotzaah and Hachnasa: R' Yosef Weiss and R' Eliyahu Neustadt. Pesukei Shema Yisroel: HaGaon R' Berish Rosenberg shlit"a (Williamsburg).

At the midday tish in his holy home, an extra kugel was brought in in honor of Shabbos Rosh Chodesh, and the Rebbe honored someone to sing Barchi Nafshi.

Third Seudah

For Mincha and Shalosh Seudos the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 5:50. Mincha: R' Aharon Gold. Hotzaah and Hachnasa: R' Avrohom Kalman Eliezer Massri. Kohen: HaGaon R' Yoel son of R' Meir Moskowitz. Levi: R' Tzvi Eliezer Marmorstein (London). Shlishi: HaGaon R' Aharon Kaufman shlit"a (Montreal). Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a. Gelilah: R' Yaakov Teller (Williamsburg).

The Rebbe honored people with the zemiros at Shalosh Seudos. Odeh: R' Noach Gefen; Shir HaMaalos: R' Tzvi Eliezer Marmorstein.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "And these are the laws that you shall place before them," and explained that the Sanhedrin was placed beside the mizbeach because the mizbeach brought about yiras shamayim. But in galus there is no mizbeach; rather, through the power of Yaakov Avinu, who imparts supernal fear of Heaven, one can be transformed into a different person through teshuva. However, if one indulges in desires, one loses the connection with Yaakov Avinu. Therefore, in the final moments of Shovavim, one must separate oneself from the remaining desires, so that one will have something with which to emerge from the Yemei HaShovavim.

On his way out, the Rebbe shlit"a went down to the Heichal HaTorah, where parents learn with their children as part of "V'shinantam L'vanecha." The Rebbe walked among the tables throughout the entire hall and looked around with great nachas for an extended time. They concluded at around 8:25.
