A gathering of the chassidim and a "Chai V'Kayam" event for the benefit of our holy kehilla in Monsey took place this past Motzei Shabbos in the great hall in the Talmud Torah building, the Goldstein building, beneath our great beis medrash, with the participation of hundreds of chassidim, headed by HaGaon Rabbi, Av Beis Din of Monsey shlit"a.

Serving as chairman of the event was HaGaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Gross shlit"a, director of our holy mosdos, who described the growth and development of our holy kehilla, and how it has grown from a small room into a huge empire in just 18 years.
Siyum on Maseches Chullin within the framework of the "Toras'cha Shaashuai" group: HaGaon Rabbi Reuven Eliezer Krausz shlit"a, of the rabbis of Machon L'Horaah.
Also speaking was R' Mordechai Elazar Hirsch, member of the administration of our mosdos in Williamsburg.
A ceremony of hakaras hatov was also held for the 11 gabbaim of our 5 batei medrash throughout the city.

At the event, the expansion of the borders of holiness was announced: by Yom Tov of Pesach, two new batei medrash of ours will already open, the magnificent beis medrash in the Ramapo neighborhood and the enlarged Beis Medrash Beirach Moshe in the Town neighborhood. The joyous news was also shared that two more new batei medrash will open in other parts of the city, in the Ridge neighborhood and in the West Maple neighborhood. It was also announced that in the coming months, IY"H, the plans will be completed to enlarge and beautify our great beis medrash, which the public's needs have long outgrown.

A panel also took place with R' Shlomo Menashe Falkowitz, one of the leading askanim for the cause of chinuch, together with R' Moshe Karkalsky, an educated education professor, and HaGaon Rabbi Moshe Schwab shlit"a, Rosh Yeshiva of Degel HaTorah and Mesivta Maamar Mordechai, about the entire effort from the beginning of the bitter decree until where things stand today. They conveyed the holy path of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a: not to yield to the government in any way and not to make any compromises.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Ki Sisa — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Friday night at around 6:20 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha and Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Baruch Eckstein. The davening ended at around 7:50.
An appeal took place for the Mosdos Torah V'Yirah of Yerushalayim, the holy city, may it be rebuilt and established. The congregation then went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went into his private room.

At around 8:40 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the tish in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the Mesivta, and began, as is his holy custom, with Shalom Aleichem, with feeling and with a sweet melody.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Ki sisa es rosh bnei Yisroel" and explained it in the manner of derush in the sugya of "yesh em la'mikra."

Stories and accounts: this week the Rebbe shlit"a told over about the holy Rebbe R' Elimelech of Lizhensk zy"a, whose yahrzeit was on Friday, 21 Adar.
Kah Ribon Olam: Rabbi Yosef Schnebalg shlit"a (Yerushalayim). The new chasanim went over to take fruit. Ba'yom HaShevi'i: R' Avrohom Reuven Kaira (Argentina). The tish ended at around 11:35.

And on the holy Shabbos day

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:20. Pesukei D'Zimra: HaGaon R' Yoel Stein shlit"a. The Rebbe then approached the amud for Shacharis.

Ra'avah D'Ra'avin

The Rebbe entered the beis medrash for Mincha and Shalosh Seudos at around 6:20. Mincha: R' Yaakov Moshe Mittelman. Hotzaah and Hachnasah: R' Aharon Moshe Schwartz. Kohen: R' Meir Mendel Weiss. Levi: R' Berel Bar Chaim Lowy (Boro Park). Shlishi: R' Yuda Moshe Gelb (Montreal). Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a. Gelilah: R' Mordechai Weider (Kiryas Joel).

The Rebbe honored people with the zemiros at Shalosh Seudos. Odeh: R' Noach Gafen. Shir HaMaalos: R' Moshe Goldstein.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Ach es Shabsosai tishmoru" and explained that through keeping Shabbos, Jewish children merit the blessing of Hashem, which is a blessing without limits of all good in this world. Esav has no share in this, and from this one can give money for the building of the Mishkan.

Maariv on Motzei Shabbos: R' Moshe Yitzchak Itzkowitz. After Havdalah the congregation went over to wish a good week. The davening ended at around 8:40.
On Motzei Shabbos at around 10:50 the Rebbe shlit"a went to the new home of R' Yechezkel Shraga Goldstein. The Rebbe affixed a mezuzah. Afterwards there was a commencement of the writing of a Sefer Torah, written by R' Yechezkel Shraga. The Rebbe wrote in the letters, drank l'chaim, and blessed R' Yechezkel Shraga, his father R' Moshe, and the entire family.

Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a went to visit the home of HaGaon Rabbi Kalman Halberstam shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Sanz, Kiryas Joel. A pleasant conversation took place about stories of tzaddikim of the House of Sanz. The Rebbe drank l'chaim and bestowed his holy blessings in honor of the simcha of the marriage of his son, the chassan, which took place several weeks ago while the Rebbe was vacationing.

From there, at around 11:50, the Rebbe went to Beis Medrash Beis Elozor in the Vyoel Moshe neighborhood, to the Sheva Berachos celebration in our holy courts for the chassan, son of the Av Beis Din of Sighet shlit"a, arranged by the mispallelim of the beis medrash. The Rebbe danced on the spot for several minutes. R' Moshe Chaim Spitzer, of the beis medrash's administration, spoke. The Rebbe drank l'chaim and wished the chassan, the mechutanim and the entire congregation well, and delivered words of Torah on the topic of the simcha of chassan and kallah. He spoke in praise of this beis medrash in particular and of the Vyoel Moshe neighborhood in general, and concluded with his holy blessing to the Av Beis Din of Sighet shlit"a and to the entire congregation.
For Birkas Hamazon the Rebbe honored the Av Beis Din of Sighet shlit"a, and the Rebbe recited the Sheva Berachos. Afterwards the Rebbe broke into a dance with the chassan and the mechutanim. The event ended at around 12:35.

Thursday, Parshas Ki Sisa, "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put on tefillin with the bar mitzvah bochurim.
The bochur Yeshaya Yitzchak HaKohen Rubin.
The bochur Mordechai Wieder.
The bochur Yoel Eidelis.
The bochur Avrohom Yoshe Schwartz.
The Rebbe lit 5 candles in honor of the yahrzeit of his father-in-law, the Vizhnitz Rebbe, the Baal Yeshuos Moshe z"l.
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for hagbah, and after davening he learned the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 19, verse 8. Afterwards, a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the morning hours, the Rebbe paid a shiva call to the family of R' Wolf Wertzberger a"h.

In the afternoon at around 4:30, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his beautiful home on Ohel Court. Before davening, the Rebbe lit 5 candles in honor of the yahrzeit of his father-in-law z"l.

After Mincha, the Sheva Brachos celebration took place in our holy courts, in the halls of the Beis Naveh Kodesh, arranged by the Rebbe shlit"a for the family members, combined with a yahrzeit seudah for the Rebbe's father-in-law, the Vizhnitz Rebbe, the Baal Yeshuos Moshe z"l. It concluded at around 6:30.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a served as mesader kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim:
R' Hershel Fish (Boro Park) – R' Hershel Fish, at Kinor David hall.
R' Mordechai Wieder (Kiryas Tosh) – R' Moshe Hersh Brach, at Beis Rachel Paradise hall.
R' Reuven Weiss (Monsey) – R' Moshe Dovid Weingarten, at Ginas Klein hall.

Zmanei kenisah (reception hours) were from around 8:15 until 11:30 at night, in his beautiful home on Ohel Court.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 10:20. Before davening, the Rebbe lit 5 candles in honor of the holy hilula of the holy Rebbe, R' Elimelech of Lizhensk zy"a, and after Maariv he continued receiving the public.

After the zmanei kenisah, the Rebbe shlit"a participated in the Sheva Brachos celebration of a grandson of the Beis Yitzchak of Spinka Rebbe shlit"a, in the home of R' Yoel Zabel. A warm conversation developed; the Rebbe drank a lechayim and offered blessings to the chassan, to the Spinka Rebbe shlit"a, and to the mechutanim, and then went out to dance with the chassan, the mechutanim, and the Spinka Rebbe shlit"a.
