Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Shemini, Shabbos HaChodesh, Blessing of the Month of Nissan — a Shabbos of Simcha, the Aufruf of the Rebbe's Grandson, the Chassan, Son of HaGaon Rabbi Av Beis Din of Beis Boruch shlit"a — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Erev Shabbos afternoon, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a put on the shtreimel for the chassanim:
The chassan Yitzchak, son of Meshulam Shimshon Friedman.
The chassan Gedalia, son of Shimon Ozer Teller.

About half an hour after candle lighting, the Rebbe put on the shtreimel for his grandson, the chassan Rabbi Chaim Yechezkel Shraga Teitelbaum shlit"a, son of HaGaon Rabbi Av Beis Din of Beis Boruch shlit"a, and they went to the beis medrash accompanied by the chassan and the mechutanim with song and music.

At about 7:55 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha.
After Mincha, an appeal was held for the 'B'yomo Titen S'charo' campaign of the Kiryas Joel mosdos; R' Elya Shlomo Kohn shlit"a, director of Beis Rochel, spoke.
Kabbalas Shabbos: HaGaon R' Meir Yosef Eichenstein shlit"a, Rav of Bobov 45.

Davening ended at about 9:30; the congregation went to wish a good Shabbos and the Rebbe went into his private room.

At about 10:10 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Friday night seudah in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the Mesivta, and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem with emotion and sweetness.
Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the chassan Yisroel Dushinsky, son of HaGaon Rabbi Av Beis Din of Ohel Feiga shlit"a. Lifting the cup: R' Tzvi Akiva Breitstein, chairman of the board of our mosdos in Beit Shemesh.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored various people with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: HaGaon R' Eliezer Mordechai Sofer shlit"a, Rav of our holy kehilla in Linden; Menuchah V'Simchah: R' Tzvi Akiva Breitstein.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse 'Vayidom Aharon' and explained, in the manner of a derush, the topic of time-bound positive mitzvos.

Afterwards the Rebbe honored his mechutan, HaGaon Av Beis Din of Bertsh shlit"a, to say divrei Torah.

After the Torah reading, the Rebbe shlit"a blessed the new month with great inspiration, and approached the amud for Mussaf in honor of Shabbos HaChodesh. Opening of Ane'im Zemiros: R' Tzadok Heilbrun.

After a few minutes the Rebbe shlit"a entered the main beis medrash, north side, for the Kiddusha Rabbah celebration in honor of the aufruf simcha. The Rebbe made Kiddush and joyous melodies were sung. The Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the chassan, the mechutanim, and the entire congregation well,
and said Torah on the words of Chazal, 'Finding one's match is as difficult as the splitting of the Yam Suf,' explaining that by thanking Hashem for the past in the future, Hashem joins the mitzvos of the future, and therefore it is better for a person that he was created. He concluded with his holy blessing. It ended at about 1:30.

The Rebbe entered for Mincha and Shalosh Seudos at about 7:55. Mincha: Rabbi Chaim Elisha Grossman shlit"a. Hotzaah and Hachnasah: R' Meshulam Shimshon Friedman. Kohen: R' Yoel, son of R' Avrohom Rosenberg. Levi: R' Avrohom Chaim Klein (Australia). Shlishi: HaGaon R' Moshe Pollak shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Dyresh, Williamsburg. Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a. The Rebbe honored people with the zemiros at Shalosh Seudos. Odeh: R' Noach Gefen. Shir HaMaalos: R' Moshe Goldstein.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the reading of Parshas HaChodesh, 'HaChodesh HaZeh Lachem Rosh Chodashim,' and explained that the Exodus from Egypt came in the merit of the Avos, in the merit of Avrohom Avinu, who publicized that there is a Creator in the world, not only for his generation but until this very day. In this way one can merit teshuva and never be cast aside, and in this merit Yidden will merit the complete redemption soon.

For Maariv on Motzei Shabbos the Rebbe approached the amud in honor of the yahrzeit of his grandmother, the Rebbetzin Bracha Sima, wife of the Chaver, of the holy Ba'al Eitz Chaim zy"a, which falls this coming Shabbos, 5 Nissan. After Havdalah the congregation went to wish a good week. It ended at about 10:25.

At about 12:20 the Rebbe arrived at our main beis medrash in Monsey for the siyum on Maseches Sotah, as part of the Yesodei HaTorah chaburah. HaGaon Av Beis Din of Monsey shlit"a continued with his address, and R' Moshe Yitzchak Landau, who had purchased the zechus of the siyum, honored the Rebbe shlit"a to make the siyum.
The Rebbe made the siyum and said Kaddish, and then rose and danced for an extended time.
The Rebbe drank lechayim and conveyed words of praise for the Yesodei HaTorah chaburah, expressing his connection and affection for our holy kehilla in Monsey, and concluded with his holy blessing. It ended at about 1:10 and the Rebbe traveled home to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.

The esteemed delegates visited the construction work on the huge project of the magnificent and grand Tel Talpiyot building of our kehilla and mosdos in Yerushalayim, on the vast lot of nearly 11,000 square feet. A lengthy meeting was also held with the building architects and city council authorities, so that, b'ezras Hashem, the actual construction work can begin in the coming days, with Hashem's help.

Friday, Parshas Shemini — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, the following brissim took place:
For the newborn son of R' Moshe Hillel Weingarten, where the Rebbe served as sandek.
For the newborn son of R' Chaim Baruch Yuda Zabel, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Noam Elimelech of Lizhensk beis medrash together with the talmidim of Yeshiva Gedolah Esek HaTorah of Monsey.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place in honor of the end of the zman. Several songs were sung, the Rebbe drank lechayim and gave good wishes to the rebbeim and talmidim of the yeshiva, delivered words of Torah and guidance, and concluded with his holy blessings.
The Rebbe then distributed to all the bochurim a set of Chibur LeTahara on the laws of mikvaos.

Thursday, Parshas Shemini — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, the following brissim took place:
For the newborn son of R' Yoel Bri"m Friedman (Williamsburg), where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
For the newborn son of R' Mordechai Yitzchak Gefen (Williamsburg), where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
For the newborn son of R' Kalman Eliezer, son of HaRav Avrohom Eckstein, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch.
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe was called up as the third aliyah, and after davening he reviewed the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 19, verse 14.

After Shacharis, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Eliezer Rubinstein at the home of his father, HaRav R' Aharon Dovid, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

At midday, around 1:50, the Rebbe shlit"a went over to Heichal HaMesivta, Kedushas Yoel branch, where the Rebbe delivered the fifth sugya shiur as preparation for the Shabbos HaGadol derasha. After the shiur, the Rebbe engaged in lengthy pilpul in his usual manner with the talmidim of the mesivta and with his son, HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a, who was also present at today's sugya shiur. It concluded at around 2:30.

At around 4:00, the Rebbe shlit"a went out to the newly built addition of his home, where the Rebbe fulfilled the mitzvah of ma'akeh (building a parapet). The Rebbe lifted the fence and set it down in its place, and with great emotion recited the blessing with Shem and Malchus, and then recited the Shehechiyanu blessing on the newly built addition. The Rebbe then personally secured the fence with physical effort, screwing in the nails and fastening it, and in the process appointed the builder, HaRav R' Yitzchak Bernatta, as an agent to complete the fence, and the Rebbe waited until it was completed.

In the afternoon at around 7:00, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his home.

At around 8:45, the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the Beis Rochel auditorium in the Leah Esther building for the siyum on all six orders of Mishnah by "Masmidim Ratz LaMishnah." Upon arrival, the Rebbe danced on the spot for several minutes. The chairman, HaRav Leibush Goldberger shlit"a, spoke, after which several children sang rhymes in honor of the occasion, and all the children recited their assigned chapters of Mishnayos and completed all six orders of Mishnah on the spot.
The program continued with songs of inspiration, and the Rebbe drank lechayim and gave good wishes to the entire assembly, and especially to the director of the Masmidim, HaRav Elimelech Schwartz shlit"a.
The Rebbe delivered words of Torah and holy words about the great joy for all of Kiryas Joel, and especially for the distinguished children completing the Mishnayos and their parents, and expressed his great nachas from attending the learning sessions this Sunday, and concluded with his holy blessings. It ended at around 9:25.

Yechidus hours (zmanei kenisa) were held from around 9:30 until 11:45 at night, in his home on Ohel Court.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim in the tenaim hall of his home for the mechutanim R' Yisroel Yitzchak Lustigman and R' Elimelech Brach (Montreal).

During the yechidus hours, the bochur Moshe Aharon Dovid, son of HaGaon R' Yosef Shmuel Rothenberg shlit"a, and the bochur Yechezkel Shraga, son of R' Yoel Schwartz, presented themselves for a farher (oral examination) with the Rebbe shlit"a on Shulchan Aruch Yoreh Deah, part 1.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:45.

Wednesday, Parshas Shemini — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, V'Yoel Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put on tefillin for the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Zalman Leib Friedman.

After davening, the Rebbe delivered the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 19, verse 14. Afterward, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.

During the morning hours, the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the Divrei Chaim neighborhood, where a ceremony of pouring the foundations for the mikvah taharah in the neighborhood took place. The Rebbe poured the foundations and honored the rabbonim present and the donors to pour as well.
The Rebbe then went to the new offices of 'Mester Realty', owned by R' Hershel Levy, the donor of the land for the mikvah taharah. There a signing of documents took place, in which R' Hershel purchased a great merit in the new mikvah in our beis medrash 'Beis Shmuel' in the Divrei Chaim neighborhood. A fine conversation developed about expanding the borders of kedusha of the neighborhood. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and warmly blessed the donor, HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Halberstam shlit"a, rav of the beis medrash, his father HaGaon R' Baruch Levy shlit"a, rav of the beis medrash in Amsterdam, the leaders of the kehilla, and the entire community.

At about 1:50 in the afternoon, the Rebbe went over to the Heichal HaMesivta, Kedushas Yoel branch, where the Rebbe delivered the fourth sugya shiur as preparation for the Shabbos HaGadol derasha. It concluded at about 2:55.

In the afternoon hours, HaGaon R' Yehoshua Katz shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Mogrov, paid a visit to the Rebbe. The rav shlit"a conveyed greetings from our holy kehilla's mehudar bakery, where the rav had just baked matzos for Yom Tov Pesach, and praised the many chumros. A fine conversation ensued regarding kashrus in general and in particular regarding matters of STa"M.
Likewise, his son HaGaon R' Mordechai Avrohom shlit"a, ram of the chaburah in our kollel 'Kollel Divrei Yoel' in Boro Park, conveyed greetings from the kollel, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing.

In the afternoon at about 6:30, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

The reception hours in the Rebbe's presence ran from about 8:15 until 12:30 after midnight, in his holy home on Ohel Ct.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim in the tenaim hall in his holy home for the mechutanim: R' Shalom Levi Yitzchak Weissman shlit"a (Williamsburg) and R' Yoel Spielman.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at about 12:30.

Tuesday, Parshas Shemini — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put on tefillin for the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Shai Shalom Walberg.

After davening, the Rebbe delivered the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 19, verse 15, and spoke words of preparation for Yom Tov Pesach, may it come to us in peace. He urged the bochurim and all the members of the kehilla to set a fixed time for learning the holy sefer Derech Pikudecha by the holy Rebbe, the Bnei Yissaschar zy"a, as a proper preparation for Yom Tov Pesach.
Afterward, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.

At about 1:45 in the afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the Heichal HaMesivta, Kedushas Yoel branch, where the Rebbe delivered the third sugya shiur as preparation for the Shabbos HaGadol derasha. It concluded at about 2:40.

In the afternoon at about 6:30, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a traveled to Williamsburg for the weekly reception hours.
The reception hours in the Rebbe's presence ran from about 8:45 until 12:45 after midnight, in his holy home on Hughes St.

During the reception hours, R' Yitzchak Wolf Pilaf entered the Rebbe's presence and gave the Rebbe the new sefer 'Toros Yoel', the Pilaf deluxe edition, a new printing of the "Black Volumes" of Torah chiddushim of the holy Rebbe, the Divrei Yoel zy"a.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at about 11:40, and then continued receiving the public.
