Monday, Parshas Kedoshim — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis with a small minyan at the guest residence at about 8:45. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur Yoel Jakobowitz (of Williamsburg).

After davening, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur.

The Rebbe davened Mincha at about 8:45; baal tefilla: R' Yissachar Ber Davidovits. Maariv was at the time of Rabbeinu Tam at about 9:15; baal tefilla: the bochur Yoshe, son of R' Yitzchak Friedman. After Maariv, the Rebbe counted Sefirah before the amud.

Sunday, Parshas Kedoshim — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, before Shacharis, a bris was held for the newborn son of R' Shmuel Shalilof, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Great Beis Medrash together with hundreds of yeshiva bochurim. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place before the ascent to the holy ziyun. Songs of inspiration were sung.
The Rebbe made a siyum on the entire Shas and the Six Orders of Mishnah and recited Kaddish.
The Rebbe drank lechayim and gave blessings to the entire assembly, and delivered words of Torah and preparation before the ascent to the ziyun. The Rebbe built on the verse "B'zos yavo Aharon el hakodesh" and explained that the only way to rise in the service of Hashem is through the Torah. He brought out the tremendous toil in Torah of the holy Rebbe, the baal hahilula zy"a, who spent every spare moment engaged in learning Torah, and concluded with his holy blessing.

After the lechayim gathering, at about 12:25, the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the holy ziyun together with thousands of chassidim and yeshiva students. Upon arrival at the cemetery, the Rebbe recited the blessing on entering, entered the holy ohel, lit five candles along with a neshama candle, and recited the tefilla "Shalom Aleichem" attributed to the Yismach Moshe zy"a.
The Rebbe led the davening, recited the chapters of Tehillim from 90 through 107 as is customary, recited the Yehi Ratzon and Kaddish, and then learned Mishnayos and recited Kaddish D'Rabbanan. While the Rebbe read the kvitelach, the songs of inspiration that were sung in the beis medrash of the holy Rebbe, the baal hahilula, were sung. The Rebbe then prostrated himself on the holy ziyun for an extended time. It concluded at about 1:20.

In the evening, the Rebbe left his holy home on the way to the home of the esteemed R' Yechezkel Dovid Berkowitz, located in a quiet area of Kiryas Joel, where the Rebbe will stay for rest and rejuvenation over the coming days. The Rebbe davened Mincha at the guest residence at about 8:45, and Maariv at the time of Rabbeinu Tam at about 9:15, and after Maariv counted Sefirah before the amud.

Motzei Shabbos at around 12:30, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a entered the Beis Medrash HaGadol for the holy tish and the hilula seudah in honor of the holy hilula of the Beirach Moshe zy"a.
The Rebbe washed for the seudah. Before the fish, zemiros for Melaveh Malka were sung. After the fish, the Rebbe wished a lechayim to the entire gathering, "May his merit protect us and all Yisroel," and they continued with niggunim of deveikus and longing that were sung in the beis medrash of the Rebbe, the baal hahilula zy"a.
With the Michtam LeDavid, the Rebbe honored HaGaon R' Baruch Weiss shlit"a, Rav of the Beis Medrash of Kenizsha, one of the talmidim of the baal hahilula.

At around 1:20, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a began the central holy address. The Rebbe took as his starting point the verse "With this shall Aharon enter the holy," and explained it according to the teachings of the baal hahilula. He spoke about the greatness of the holy Rebbe, the baal hahilula zy"a, one of the pillars of the world; his greatness in Torah, his fervent tefillos, and how he was a merciful father to broken hearts; his warm drashos, his sweet Torah thoughts, and his holy work to strengthen and elevate our kehilla and our holy mosdos throughout the world. "And it was, when Moshe raised his hand, Yisroel prevailed." The Rebbe mentioned the Rebbe's many efforts in the battle against Zionism, and brought out the difficult situation in Eretz Yisroel with the decrees of the draft, for which much Heavenly mercy is needed, and the situation of war in Eretz Yisroel, which has spread much hatred of Jews across the whole world, and Heavenly mercy is also needed so that it should not, chas v'shalom, cost anything for Klal Yisroel. Afterwards he spoke about the chinuch decree in New York, for which Heavenly mercy is needed to be saved from the decree. We pray that the sincere askanim will be able to accomplish and annul the decree, especially since there are other askanim who are, chas v'shalom, prepared to make compromises regarding chinuch, rachmana litzlan.
The Rebbe mentioned the full efforts in matters of tznius, and called on all members of our community, in every place, to be careful in this. He strengthened the takanah of the mosdos not to accept students from homes where long, loose-fitting sheitels are worn, and likewise regarding the yetzer hara of impure devices.
The Rebbe mentioned the Rebbe's efforts to broaden the borders of kedusha throughout the world. The Rebbe urged members of our community to daven specifically in our own batei medrash and not to daven in outside places, where one can be influenced by foreign outlooks and opinions, and he urged them not to be influenced by the crude crowd. It has become a trend to come on Shabbos morning to the beis medrash without a shtreimel. This is not how one comes to the beis medrash! "In the house of G-d we walk with emotion," in a respectful manner as is fitting. Likewise, one should be careful with the honor of the beis medrash not to talk during davening, etc. So too regarding the bad custom of large kiddushim after davening, which brings no good to anyone.
Afterwards the Rebbe spoke about the situation of the housing shortage in Kiryas Joel and said that, b'ezras Hashem, a vaad of baalei batim has been appointed that is examining all possibilities of what can be done, "and the will of Hashem will succeed in our hands." At the end, the Rebbe mentioned the Kollel Eitz Chaim in Bnei Brak, which was founded by the holy Rebbe, the baal hahilula zy"a, in the name and memory of his father, the Eitz Chaim zy"a, and which today stands under the leadership of his brother, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of our kehilla, B"P 15 shlit"a, who bears the burden with faithfulness and devotion. We must see to help out in whatever way we can. He concluded with abundant blessings to the entire gathering.

For Birkas Hamazon, the Rebbe honored his brother, HaGaon HaTzaddik shlit"a. The tish ended at around 2:00.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Acharei, Mevarchim Chodesh Iyar — 26 Nissan, the Hilula Kadisha of the Beirach Moshe zt"l — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Erev Shabbos, before the time, the Rebbe shlit"a lit a yahrzeit candle in his holy home l'ilui nishmas his father, the Beirach Moshe zy"a.

On Friday night at around 8:35, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha and Kabbolas Shabbos.

The davening ended at around 10:15. The congregation went over to wish a gut Shabbos, and the Rebbe went home to his holy residence.

At around 12:35 the Rebbe entered the tish in the Beis Medrash HaGadol, and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem, with feeling and sweetness.

On the holy day of Shabbos

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:45. The Rebbe shlit"a approached the amud for Pesukei D'Zimra and Shacharis, and Hallel HaGadol and the Shira were said verse by verse.

A few minutes after davening, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Beis Medrash HaGadol, northern side, for the Kiddusha Rabbah on the occasion of the holy hilula. The Rebbe made Kiddush and niggunim from the beis medrash of the Rebbe, the Baal HaHilula zy"a, were sung.
At the lechayims the Rebbe wished "zechuso yagen aleinu." The gathering ended at around 1:00.

In the afternoon at around 7:10 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Beis Medrash HaGadol for Pirkei Avos. He based his words on the mishna "Moshe received the Torah from Sinai," explaining in several ways that before one begins learning, good middos come first, and, in the manner of derush, the sugyos of bittul b'rov, mekadesh b'milveh, and the halacha of freedom before the giving of the Torah.
At the end he exhorted the kehilla to adhere to all the takanos of the kehilla, especially the davening times during the week and on Shabbos. It ended at around 8:00.

Raava D'Raavin

For Mincha and Shalosh Seudos, the Rebbe entered for Mincha at around 8:30. The Rebbe approached the amud and after Kaddish made a blessing and wrapped himself in a tallis. The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "With this shall Aharon come into the Kodesh," and explained that through the mitzvah of bris milah, the power of mesirus nefesh for the Creator is bestowed upon Jewish children.

Thursday, Parshas Acharei, Isru Chag — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Shlomo Chaim Masri, at which the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

The bochur Shmuel Herskovits.
The bochur Shlomo Eliyahu Malach.
The bochur Yeshaya Binyamin Hirsch.
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for Hagbah, and after davening a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

After Shacharis, the Rebbe went to the courtyard of R' Avrohom Leib Brach, for a refuah shleimah, for Birkas HaIlanos. The Rebbe looked at the blossoms on the trees and recited the bracha, and then went into the home of R' Avrohom Leib, where a lechayim gathering was held. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings.

At around 8:30, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home at Ohel Kt.
Afterwards, there were yechidus hours in the Kiryas Joel area until 12:40 at night.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tena'im in the tena'im hall in his holy home for the mechutanim R' Yehoshua Klagsbrun and R' Shaul Fisch.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:40. Before Maariv, the Rebbe lit 5 candles on the occasion of the holy hilula of his ancestor, the Divrei Chaim zy"a, and after Maariv counted Sefirah before the amud.
