Monday, Parshas Emor, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, before Shacharis, a bris was held for the newborn son of R' Yechezkel Shraga Mertz, at which the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in Heichal HaMesivta, the Divrei Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

Tachanun was said because of the day of "Yom HaMar VeHaNimhar," the 5th of Iyar, in accordance with the directive of the Rebbe zy"a.
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for hagbah.

After davening, the Rebbe delivered the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 20, verse 2. Afterward, the talmidei hayeshiva went over to greet the Rebbe shlit"a ahead of the new month, and a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a went up to Heichal HaYeshiva, the Kedushas Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidei hayeshiva in his private room. At around 6:20, the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

Yechidus hours were from around 9:00 until 12:30 at night, in his holy home on Ohel Court.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tena'im in the hall of his holy home for the mechutanim, R' Moshe Chaim Kohn (of Boro Park) and R' Yoel Bril Brach.
Afterward, the Rebbe went over to the second hall of his holy home, where a "Hakaras HaTov" gathering took place, organized by the Vaad HaPe'ulah of the Edah HaChareidis for the dozens of askanim and the nobles of our holy kehilla who participated with their persons and their money in the "Kiyum HaTorah" campaign of Keren Tomchin D'Oraisa, under the leadership of the Satmar Rebbe, the posek hador and marah d'asra of Eretz Yisroel shlit"a. For the third time, on Yom Tov Pesach, nearly two million shekel was distributed to close to two thousand families of the Edah HaChareidis.

The chairman, HaGaon Rabbi Avrohom Yaakov Yakov shlit"a, spoke and described what it means for the poor of Eretz Yisroel to receive the distribution with dignity, and the tremendous merit of raising the Torah fund of the rabbanim and moreh tzedek of the Edah HaChareidis. He then called upon the HaGaon HaGadol, the Av Beis Din of Kiryas Joel shlit"a, who delivered the address of the gathering about the tremendous merit of being able to support the members of the Edah HaChareidis, especially the rabbanim and dayanim. He particularly spoke at length in praise of his friend, the HaGaon, posek hador shlit"a, who founded and stands at the head of the Vaad HaPe'ulah with its activities, and who raises the strength of the Edah HaChareidis to fight against the wicked government in Eretz Yisroel.

The Rebbe shlit"a looked over with great satisfaction the lists of the astronomical Pesach distribution of 2 million shekel, and the copies of the thousands of checks that the fund distributed to the two thousand families, and in particular the beautiful support that was given to the more than one hundred dayanim of the Edah HaChareidis, and to their leaders, the members of the Beis Din, shlit"a.
Afterward, the Rebbe delivered words of appreciation and a blessing to the askanim. The Rebbe referred to the words of the dayan shlit"a, and continued that the Edah HaChareidis is the foundation of the chareidi community in the holy city of Yerushalayim, and that our holy kehilla has always stood at the right hand of the Edah HaChareidis, and especially our holy Rebbes zy"a came out with fire to strengthen the Edah HaChareidis. He spoke in praise of the askanim who took upon themselves the burden of strengthening the rabbanim, the members of the Beis Din and the moreh horaah, and in general the entire public there who take shelter in the shade of the Edah HaChareidis, who provide for the blessed families. He repeated the words of the Rebbe, the Divrei Yoel zy"a, that by supporting the people of Eretz Yisroel one fulfills the mitzvah of settling Eretz Yisroel. He concluded with his holy blessing that the Edah HaChareidis should endure and that no one should be able to break it, and for all the askanim and donors.

On his way out, the Rebbe warmly wished well to the noted R' Yitzchak Elyakim Schwartz, whom the Rebbe appointed as chairman of the administration in the U.S., and to the distinguished askan R' Aharon Yosef Friedman.

Afterward, the Rebbe went back upstairs to continue with the yechidus hours.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:30 and counted Sefirah before the amud.

Sunday, Parshas Emor — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Kedushas Yoel branch.
After davening, the Rebbe recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 20, verse 1. Afterwards, the talmidei hayeshiva came over to greet the Rebbe shlit"a in honor of the new zman.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe shlit"a went up to the Heichal HaYeshiva, Divrei Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidei hayeshiva in his private room, and at around 6:20 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

At around 7:15 in the evening, the Rebbe went over to the beis hachaim, where the Rebbe participated in the levaya of the distinguished and elderly woman, the widow of R' Yosef Mordechai Kahana a"h.

Entry hours at the Rebbe's home were from around 8:00 until 12:00 at night, at his home on Ohel Court.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim at the tenaim ceremony held at his home, between the mechutanim R' Yitzchak Eizik Powell (Monsey) and R' Shmuel Yuda Stein.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 9:45 and counted Sefirah before the amud, and afterwards continued receiving the public.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Kedoshim — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Friday night at around 8:35 the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha and Kabbalas Shabbos: HaRav R' Anshil Gruber shlit"a (Monsey). After Maariv the Rebbe counted Sefirah before the amud.
Davening concluded at around 10:15. An appeal was made for the Talmud Torah for Sephardic children in the holy city of Tzfas. The congregation then went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went into his private room.

At around 10:50 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the holy tish in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the mesivta, and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem with feeling and sweetness.
Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the chassan Yisroel Dushinsky, may he live, son of the chaver of the Beis Din, the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rav of the Beis Medrash Ohel Feiga shlit"a. Lifting the cup: the Rebbe's grandson HaRav Meir Yuda Ashkenazi shlit"a, son-in-law of the chaver of the Beis Din, the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rav of the Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a.
At the soup, matzah was served as is customary between Pesach and Shavuos.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: R' Yisroel Spitzer (Yerushalayim). Menucha V'Simcha: R' Yisroel Landau (Williamsburg).

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Kedoshim tihyu" and explained, in the manner of a drush, the sugya of chatzi shiur by a mitzvah.

U'v'Yom HaShabbos Kodesh

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:40. Berachos and Pesukei D'Zimra: R' Akiva Hirsch. The Rebbe recited Vechrus verse by verse and approached the amud for Shacharis. For the chazaras hashatz the Rebbe sent his grandson HaRav Zalman Leib Teitelbaum shlit"a.

Ra'avah D'Ra'avin

For Mincha and Seudah Shlishis the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 8:40. Mincha: R' Elchanan Taub. Hotzaah and Hachnasah: R' Avrohom Goldberger. Kohen: R' Dovid Aharon Weinstock. Levi: R' Yaakov Aharon Levi. Shlishi: the bochur Yechezkel Shraga Halberstam, may he live.
After the leining, the Mi Sheberach for those fasting on Behab was recited.
Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a. Gelilah: R' Eliezer Sapir.

The Rebbe honored people with the zemiros at Seudah Shlishis. Odeh: R' Noach Gefen. Shir HaMaalos: R' Moshe Goldstein.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Kedoshim tihyu" and explained that in order to be close to Hashem and to hear the voice of Hashem, Jewish children can do so through the merit of the holy forefathers and the merit of Shabbos Kodesh, by conducting themselves on Shabbos with holiness, with holy speech, and by being careful about forbidden speech. When one conducts oneself with holiness, "sanctify yourself with what is permitted to you," one merits to hear the voice of Hashem, "may He send your help from the Sanctuary."

Maariv for Motzei Shabbos: R' Moshe Yitzchok Itzkovitch (Williamsburg). After Maariv the Rebbe counted Sefirah before the amud. After Havdalah the congregation went over to wish a good week. It concluded at around 10:50.

After Havdalah, a group of bochurim from the Yeshiva Gedolah of Bobov of Boro Park, who had spent Shabbos in the Rebbe's presence, entered his holy home. The Rebbe asked them about their learning and bestowed his blessing upon them.

At around 12:00 a lechayim was held in the Rebbe's home in honor of the kiddushin engagement of the bochur Chananya Yom Tov Lipa Deutsch, may he live. A conversation ensued and the kabbalas kinyan was made. The Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the chassan, the mechutanim and the grandfathers well.

Thursday, Parshas Kedoshim, 2 Iyar — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis at the guesthouse at around 9:25. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

At around 10:15, the Rebbe arrived at the tenaim hall in his holy home, where the Rebbe read the tenaim of the following mechutanim.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis at the guesthouse at around 9:15. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

At around 10:10, the Rebbe arrived at the tenaim hall in his holy home, where the Rebbe read the tenaim of the mechutanim R' Chaim Avrohom Rosenfeld and R' Shlomo Yaakov Neustadt.
Immediately afterward, the Rebbe traveled back to the guesthouse.
