Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Behaaloscha — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Erev Shabbos afternoon, the Rebbe put the shtreimel on the chassan Leib, the bochur Chaim Yisroel Weider.

On Friday night at around 9:10, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha and Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Dovid Glauber (London).
Davening concluded at around 10:40. The appeal for 'Merkaz Ezra V'Eitzah' in Eretz Yisroel took place. The congregation then went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe entered his private room.

At around 11:15 the Rebbe entered the holy tish in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the Mesivta, and began, as is his holy custom, Shalom Aleichem with feeling and sweetness.
Eishes Chayil: the grandson of the Rebbe, R' Yoel Tov ny"u, son of the Rebbe's son-in-law HaGaon HaTzaddik, rav of the Beis Medrash Berach Moshe shlit"a. Hagbahas HaKos: the grandson of the Rebbe, Rabbi Meir Yehuda Ashkenazi shlit"a, son-in-law of the HaGaon HaTzaddik, rav of the Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: R' Avrohom Simcha Friedman; Menucha V'Simcha: R' Yaakov Leib Sofer.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Vatedabeir Miriam V'Aharon B'Moshe" and explained, in the manner of a drush, the topic of "ta'am k'ikar."

Stories and Accounts: This week the Rebbe shlit"a related stories about his ancestor, the holy Rebbe R' Shalom Eliezer of Ratzfert zy"a, whose yahrzeit fell on that very day, Shabbos, 16 Sivan.

On Shabbos Kodesh Day

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:30. Birchos and Pesukei D'Zimra: R' Dovid HaKohen Landau (Williamsburg). The Rebbe approached the amud for Shacharis.

Hotzaah V'Hachnasah: R' Avrohom Shalom Landau. Pesukei Shema Yisroel: R' Shmaya Kessler (Williamsburg).

Aliyos. Kohen: the chassan Noach, the bochur of Avrohom Yehoshua Landau — bombarded with candy. Levi: the chassan Asher Lemel, son of Rabbi Avrohom Yehoshua Wertzberger shlit"a — bombarded with candy. Shlishi: the chassan Leib, the bochur of Chaim Yisroel Weider — bombarded with candy. After his aliyah, the Rebbe called a name in honor of the birth of a daughter to:

Third Seudah

For Mincha and Shalosh Seudos the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:05. Mincha: R' Meir Spitzer. Hotzaah V'Hachnasah: R' Michael Moshe Brill. Kohen: R' Yitzchak Yaakov Katz. Levi: R' Moshe Wertzberger (Montreal). Shlishi: R' Shmuel Dovid Markovitch (Williamsburg). Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a. Gelilah: R' Yehoshua Tzvi Freund (Williamsburg).

The Rebbe honored people with the zemiros at Shalosh Seudos. Odeh: R' Noach Gafen. Shir HaMaalos: R' Moshe Goldstein.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "B'haalosecha es haneiros" and explained that the power of Aharon HaKohen has remained to this very day, and he stands and kindles the lights and strengthens broken hearts for Jewish children, and bestows everything that Jewish children need.

Maariv of Motzei Shabbos: R' Shlomo Moshe Klagsbrun. After Havdalah the congregation went over to wish a good week. It ended at around 11:15.

Friday, Erev Shabbos Parshas Beha'aloscha — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, the following brisos took place:
For the newborn son of R' Yosef Elazar Neustein, where the Rebbe was sandek and mohel.
For the newborn son of R' Gedalya Bermi Falkowitz, where the Rebbe was sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the talmud torah building, 'Binyan Klein', together with the students of grades 6, 7 and 8, of the branch of Rabbi Yoel Wertzberger shlit"a. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur Mordechai Meshulam Zusha Schnitzler.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place in the hall of the beis medrash. The children sang several niggunim, and the Rebbe drank a lechayim, offered blessings to all the children and melamdim, and delivered words of his holy Torah and guidance to the children.

After Shacharis, the Rebbe went over to the Ohel Yisroel Meir beis medrash, headed by HaGaon Rabbi David Shlomo Eckstein shlit"a, where the bris of the newborn son of his grandson, R' Yisroel Meir Falkowitz, took place, with the Rebbe as sandek and mohel. After the bris a lechayim gathering took place in the hall of the beis medrash, and the Rebbe looked around the beis medrash and the mikvah, and offered his holy blessing to HaGaon Rabbi David Shlomo Eckstein shlit"a.

Thursday, Parshas Beha'aloscha — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
The bochur Yoel, son of R' Baruch Yitzchak Weiss.
The bochur Yosef Hersh Greenfeld.
The bochur Menachem Friedman.
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for Hagbah, and after davening he reviewed a sugya from the shiurim of the yeshiva. Afterwards a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

During the morning hours, the Rebbe went on his weekly visit to the glatt kosher slaughterhouse.

At around 7:00, the Spinka Beis Yitzchak Rebbe shlit"a paid a visit to the Rebbe's holy home, together with his mechutan the Zidichov Rebbe shlit"a, on the occasion of the wedding of their grandchildren, mazel tov, which had taken place the previous night in the halls of Beis Rachel Paradise. A pleasant conversation ensued about the great lineage of the chasan and kallah and about details of the historic wedding invitation of the Kedushas Yom Tov zy"a. The Rebbe honored them with a lechayim and warmly bestowed his holy blessings upon the chasan, the grandfathers, and the whole family.

In the evening, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim, R' Moshe Menachem Schlesinger and R' Michael Moshe Brill, at Kinor David hall.

Afterwards the Rebbe went over to the chuppah of the Spinka-Zidichov families, of the mechutanim HaGaon Rabbi Yehuda Horowitz shlit"a and Rabbi Yosef Dov Rosenfeld shlit"a, in the halls of Beis Rachel Paradise. The Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin, waited until after the chuppah, and offered abundant blessings to the chasan, the mechutanim, the grandfathers, and the attending rabbonim and family members.



At around 8:40, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home, at Ohel Kt.

Then at around 9:00, the Rebbe entered the Tanaim hall, where the private Sheva Brachos, arranged by the Rebbe shlit"a for the family, took place. The gabbaim of the wedding-fund committees of all the batei medrash of the holy city of Kiryas Joel were invited; they gather large sums to help Jews at the time of their simcha.
The Rebbe washed for the Sheva Brachos seudah. During the seudah, R' Yonason Schwartz spoke, presenting various suggestions for making wedding expenses cheaper, and delighted the guests with humorous words in honor of the simcha.
The Rebbe delivered words of his holy Torah, in the form of a derasha, on the topics of the simcha of chasan and kallah, and brought out the beauty of all the batei medrash in Kiryas Joel, where there is Torah, avodah, and gemilus chasadim, and on the importance of going to collect money for another. He strengthened the askanim to continue with even greater vigor, and offered abundant blessings to the entire community.
Afterwards the Rebbe stood up and danced for an extended time. For Birkas HaMazon, the Rebbe honored the mechutan HaGaon Rabbi Avrohom Yosha Eiger shlit"a; the first brachos: the Gaon Av Beis Din of Kiryas Joel shlit"a; the final bracha: HaGaon R' Simcha Sholom Steinberger shlit"a, rav of the Divrei Chaim beis medrash. The event concluded at around 11:00.

Afterwards the Rebbe davened Maariv in the beis medrash in his holy home.

Wednesday, Parshas Behaaloscha — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the heichal of the Mesivta, Yoel Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Yoel Weissman.

After davening, the Rebbe delivered the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 22, verse 2. Afterwards a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe went up to the heichal of the Yeshiva, Divrei Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the yeshiva students in his private room.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at kiddushin under the chuppah for the following mechutanim:
HaRav R' Avrohom Yosef Friedman shlit"a (Rav of the beis medrash) – R' Yoel Bickel, at Kinor David hall.
R' Amram Yitzchak Weinstock – R' Meir Spitzer, at Beis Rochel Paradise hall.
R' Yoel Mordechai Gutman (Boro Park) – R' Mordechai Goldberger, at Ginas Klein hall.

Reception hours in the Rebbe's holy room were from 8:15 until 1:30 at night, in his holy home on Ahel Court.

Around 9:20 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

During the reception hours, HaRav Yaakov Yosef Twersky shlit"a, son of the Rachmistrivka Rebbe of Monsey shlit"a and son-in-law of HaGaon R' Yitzchak Twersky shlit"a, son of the Skver Rebbe shlit"a, entered the Rebbe's holy room to receive his blessing on the occasion of the wedding of his son, the chassan, mazel tov, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon him.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim in the tenaim hall in his holy home for the following mechutanim:
R' Nachman Klein – R' Moshe Zeibel.
R' Hillel Hirsch (Boro Park) – R' Yehuda Moskowitz.

The Mielen Rebbe shlit"a of Eretz Yisroel paid a visit to the Rebbe's holy room; a pleasant conversation ensued and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon him.

Also entering the holy room was the askan R' Aharon Bentzion Wieder to receive the Rebbe's blessing ahead of the primary elections, where R' Aharon Bentzion is running for a seat in the Rockland County Assembly. The Rebbe inquired about all of R' Aharon Bentzion's beneficial activities and warmly bestowed his holy blessing upon him.

The Rebbe davened Maariv around 12:45 and then continued receiving the public.
