Thursday, Parshas Nitzavim-Vayeilech — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for a baby boy born to R' Avrohom Yekusiel Zalman Stein, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Kalman Eliezer Babor.

During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for Hagbah, and after davening the shofar was blown. A lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room. The outstanding bochurim also entered, who presented themselves for a farher on the entire Maseches Bava Metzia, and the Rebbe distributed a 12-challah and bestowed his holy blessing.

After a short while, the Rebbe returned to the beis medrash, where he reviewed the ninth and final sugya of the shiur on the topic of 'Mitzvos were not given for enjoyment,' as preparation for the Shabbos Shuvah derasha. He then continued with preparation toward the Days of Mercy and Favor, and concluded with abundant blessings for all the bochurim.

The kabbalas kahal (receiving of visitors) was from 6:30 until 12:00 at night, in his holy home on Ohel Court.
Around 7:30 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim for the mechutanim, HaRav HaChosid R' Chaim Eliezer Weiss and HaRav HaChosid R' Moshe Simcha Kaufman.
During the kabbalas kahal, the Rebbe shlit"a delivered words of greeting and blessing through a hookup to the members of the Montreal community at the 'community assembly' that took place in our great beis medrash in Montreal. First, the head of the beis din, HaGaon HaTzaddik, the rav of the Yismach Moshe beis medrash shlit"a, spoke at some length on behalf of the Rebbe shlit"a. Then the Rebbe delivered his words and expressed that, as a talmud torah is being prepared to open this coming winter, b'ezras Hashem, one must take care to adhere to the regulations of the founder of our kehilla and holy mosdos, the holy Rebbe, the Divrei Yoel zy"a, so that the mosdos will be a source of pride for Montreal, just as our great beis medrash is a source of pride and splendor for the entire city. The Rebbe concluded with abundant blessings for the askanim who are at the helm and for the entire community.

The Rebbe davened Maariv around 12:00.

Wednesday, Parshas Nitzavim — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Mendel Gutman (Montreal), at which the Rebbe was sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the hall of the Mesivta, Yoel Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
The bochur Moshe Avrohom Schönbrunn.
The bochur Moshe Henoch Friedman.
The bochur Yosef Rosenberg.
The bochur Yoel Fromowitz.

After davening, the Rebbe blew shofar and said over the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 23, verse 1, and continued with guidance for the upcoming bein hazmanim. Afterwards a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

At around 1:45 the Rebbe arrived at the Yeshiva Gedolah, Berach Moshe branch, where the Rebbe delivered the eighth shiur on the topic of "Mitzvos lav lehenos nitnu," as preparation for the Shabbos Shuva derasha. It concluded at around 2:20.

In the afternoon hours, HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a, entered the Rebbe's room, where the Rav shlit"a gave a report on the Yeshiva Ketana "Derech HaTorah," which has now completed its third year, baruch Hashem, successfully, and is already preparing, b'shaah tovah, to send its students on to the yeshiva gedolah. On this occasion, the Rebbe shlit"a also mentioned the second branch of the yeshiva, which has just completed its first year, "Yeshivas Bishvilei HaTorah." They also discussed various details of our holy mosdos, the yeshivos ketanos, and the yeshiva for younger boys in Williamsburg, where the Rebbe expressed with great satisfaction the good reports being heard back from all the branches of the yeshivos after a very successful year that passed well.

In the afternoon at around 6:00, a completion of the writing of the letters took place for the Sefer Torah being written by the philanthropist R' Chaim Avrohom son of R' Yirmiyah Brach of Lakewood, which will be brought in on Erev Yom Kippur Kodesh to the town of Ratzfert, Hungary. A signing of the documents also took place, at which R' Chaim Avrohom purchased a distinguished merit in our great beis medrash in Lakewood. The Rebbe wrote in the letters and drank a lechayim, and a pleasant conversation developed about the holy Rabbi Hirtzke'le of Ratzfert zy"a and the expansion of the borders of holiness of our holy kehilla in Lakewood. The Rebbe signed the documents together with the donor and warmly bestowed his holy blessings.

Entry times (zmanei kenisa) with the Rebbe were from 6:30 until 11:45 at night at his home on Ohel Court.
At around 7:30 the Rebbe davened Mincha at his home.

After Mincha, the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim, Rabbi Nosson Nata Hauser shlit"a and R' Shalom Eliezer Berger, at Beis Rochel Paradise hall, and afterwards continued with the entry times.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim of the mechutanim R' Yoel son of R' M. Wertzberger and R' Dovid Ungar.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:45.

After Maariv, the Rebbe went to the cemetery of Kiryas Joel for the levaya of R' Tuvia Schreiber a"h.

Tuesday, Parshas Nitzavim — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning before Shacharis, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Yoel Berish Steinmetz, at which the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash Imrei Noam in the Divrei Yoel neighborhood, together with the talmidim of Yeshiva Gedolah Esek HaTorah of Monsey, under the leadership of HaGaon Rabbi Yisroel Mordechai Seidenfeld shlit"a. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Yoel Berkowitz, son of R' Berish.

After davening, the Rebbe blew the shofar and delivered the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 23, verse 1. He then continued with words of chizuk on the occasion of the end of the zman, with words of praise for the yeshiva, which concluded the year successfully, and for the good name the yeshiva has earned, as many areas of Torah were covered, especially the halachos of mikvaos. He concluded with abundant blessings and good shidduchim for all the talmidim of the yeshiva.

Afterwards, a lechayim gathering took place in the hall of the beis medrash on the occasion of the end of the zman. Several niggunim were sung, and the Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the bar mitzvah bochur, the rebbeim and the talmidim of the yeshiva well. HaGaon Rabbi Yaakov Eliyahu Turnheim shlit"a, a rebbe in the yeshiva, spoke. The Rebbe then distributed the sefer Divrei Chaim on Mikvaos to all the talmidim of the yeshiva and bestowed his holy blessing.

At around 1:50, the Rebbe arrived at Yeshiva Gedolah, the Birach Moshe branch, where the Rebbe delivered the seventh shiur in the sugya of 'Mitzvos lav lehenos nitnu' as preparation for the Shabbos Shuva drasha. It concluded at around 2:30.

In the afternoon hours, the Rebbe traveled into Williamsburg for the weekly reception hours.

Upon arriving in Williamsburg, the Rebbe made a brief visit to our new beis medrash, 'Beis Medrash Lev Aharon' on South 8th, which has been beautifully completed and will, b'ezras Hashem, open its doors this coming Shabbos Kodesh. The Rebbe walked through the entire beis medrash building with great satisfaction at the magnificent beis medrash that has been built, and bestowed his holy blessing upon the administration and the askanim of the beis medrash.

Reception hours in the Rebbe's holy home on Hewes St. ran from 5:30 until 11:45 at night.

At around 7:10, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

During the reception hours, HaGaon Rabbi Yosef Meyer shlit"a, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Maor HaTorah, came in to the Rebbe to give and receive blessings for the new year. A pleasant, warm conversation took place about the sugyos that were just begun for the Elul zman in Maseches Bava Basra. The Rebbe bestowed his holy blessings upon him and accompanied him to the door.

The Rebbe also blessed small bottles of honey that were sent to Eretz Yisroel for the askanim of our holy kehilla in Bnei Brak, who have devoted themselves day and night, without rest, to prepare the enlarged hall of the Beis Medrash HaGadol in the Kiryas Yoel neighborhood so that it will be ready for the coming holy days, for the glory and splendor of Hashem.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:10 and then continued receiving the public.

After the reception hours, the Rebbe traveled to Boro Park, where the Rebbe went up to the home of R' Michael Dov Kraus, where his son, the philanthropist R' Avrohom Binyamin Elimelech of Kiryas Joel, pledged a large sum for the benefit of the Yesod Lev institutions in Eretz Yisroel. The Rebbe arrived at around 12:15. A pleasant conversation took place about HaGaon HaKadosh Rabbi Dovid Deutsch zt"l, author of Ohel Dovid, whose grandson the donor is. The Rebbe also recounted memories of R' Yisroel Dovid Weiss a"h, the donor's grandfather, who merited to spend time in the shadow of the holy Rebbe R' Shalom Eliezer'l of Ratzfert zt"l and received a promise to be saved from the hands of the wicked, as well as various recollections from the days of the Rebbe zy"a. The Rebbe signed the documents together with the donor, drank lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings, and distributed small bottles of honey to all the family members for the coming Rosh Hashana. Then, at around 12:45, the Rebbe set out for home, to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.

Monday, Parshas Noach — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, before Shacharis, the following brissim took place:
The newborn son of R' Yoel son of Yerachmiel Bitman, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
The newborn son of R' Moshe son of Yechezkel Feivel Brach, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Heichal HaMesivta, Divrei Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
The bochur Mordechai Yaakov Saal.
The bochur Yisroel Dovid Farkash.
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for hagbah, and after davening the shofar was blown and the Rebbe recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 23, verse 1. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.
At approximately 1:50 the Rebbe arrived at Yeshiva Gedolah, Beirach Moshe branch, where the Rebbe delivered the sixth sugya shiur on the topic of 'mitzvos were not given for enjoyment,' as preparation for the Shabbos Shuva derasha. It concluded at approximately 2:30.

Reception hours (yechidus) were held from 6:30 until 12:00 at night, in the Rebbe's holy home on Uhel Court.

In the evening at approximately 7:15, the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim:
R' Meir son of Berger - R' Chaim Zalman Scher, at Kinor Dovid hall.
R' Yosef Dermer (Monsey) - R' Chaim Efraim Weiss, at Beis Rachel Paradise hall.
R' Yoel Sofer (Monsey) - R' Yisroel Moshe Stohl, at Ginas Klein hall.

Before the chuppah at Beis Rachel Paradise, the Rebbe davened Mincha in the Beis Rachel building, Binyan Bracha Sima.

After the chuppos, the Rebbe paid a shiva condolence call to Rabbi Avrohom Simcha and his brother Rabbi Alexander Nachum Gottlieb shlit"a, who are sitting shiva for their father, R' Shalom Yosef Gottlieb a"h, and then continued with the reception hours.

During the reception hours, HaGaon Rabbi Moshe Lebel shlit"a, rosh yeshiva of Toras Chaim and one of the heads of Kehillas Ohalei Yaakov in Moscow, entered the Rebbe's chamber together with Rabbi Betzalel Mandel shlit"a, director of Talmud Torah Reishis Chochmah. A pleasant conversation took place about Jewish life in Moscow, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him from his holy blessing.

Sunday, Parshas Nitzavim-Vayeilech — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Kedushas Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
the bochur Moshe Menachem Schlesinger.
the bochur Leib Bresha Frankel.
the bochur Yaakov Shimon Kaufman.
the bochur Yoel Glick.
the bochur Yissachar Ber Hirsch.

After davening, the Rebbe blew shofar and recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 23, verse 1. Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room. A group of bochurim from the yeshiva also entered together with the menahel, HaGaon R' Kalman Halberstam shlit"a of Zanz, to receive the Rebbe's holy blessings on the occasion of their trip to the holy places in Europe. The Rebbe inquired about the details of the trip, distributed shlichus mitzvah money, and bestowed his holy blessing.

At around 1:45 the Rebbe arrived at the Yeshiva Gedolah, Berach Moshe branch, where the Rebbe delivered the fifth shiur on the topic of 'mitzvos lav l'hanos nitnu', as preparation for the Shabbos Shuva derasha. It concluded at around 2:20.

In the afternoon at around 4:00, as already widely reported, a special meeting took place in the Rebbe's holy home with prominent political officials: Congressional Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, the local congressman, and Assemblyman R' Simcha Eichenstein of Boro Park, along with the leaders and administration of Kiryas Joel.

Also entering together were R' Moshe Goldstein and R' Shlomo Yaakov Neustadt, members of the administration of Mivtzar HaKollelim Kiryas Joel, together with askanim of the kollel, who brought bottles of honey that will be distributed in honor of Yom Tov Rosh Hashana, which is coming upon us for good, to the larger supporters of the kollel. The Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon the supporters and the askanim of the kollel.

The yechidus hours were from 6:30 until 12:15 at night, in the Rebbe's holy home on Ohel Court.

During the yechidus hours a lechayim celebration was held in honor of the siyum haShas of the chassan Moshe Eliezer, son of R' Hersh Elimelech Rubinfeld, to his kallah, the daughter of R' Yoel Simon shlit"a. A fine conversation unfolded about various sugyos of the Shas. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and gave his holy blessing to the chassan, the mechutanim, the grandfathers, and the entire family.

In the evening at around 7:15 the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim:
R' Yoel Wolf Schwartz - R' Yosef Leib Kaufman, at the Kinor David hall.
R' Meir Yehuda Perlman (of Williamsburg) - R' Yoel Kayam, at the Beis Rachel Paradise hall.
R' Moshe Eliezer Landau (of Williamsburg) - R' Yoel Steinmetz, at the Ginas Klein hall.

After the chuppah at Kinor David, the Rebbe davened Mincha in the Beis Medrash Beis Mordechai of our holy kehilla, and after all the chuppos the yechidus hours continued.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim of the mechutanim R' Shmuel Tuvia Lichtman - R' Yosef Shmuel Rosenfeld.

During the yechidus hours, the Skolya Rebbe of 18 shlit"a visited to give and receive blessings for the new year. A fine conversation unfolded, recalling memories of the Yamim Noraim with the Divrei Yoel zt"l, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon him.

Also visiting was HaRav HaTzaddik Rabbi Yissachar Dov of Kosov of Lakewood shlit"a. A fine conversation developed about stories of the House of Kosov. The Rebbe spoke of the friendship with his father, the Kosover Rebbe zt"l, may he be remembered for long life. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings, and the Rav shlit"a gave the Rebbe the sefer Sraga D'Nahara by his father zt"l, which was just published.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:15.
