Motzei Shabbos, the night of the second day of Chol Hamoed, Ushpizin of Moshe — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe entered the holy tish in the large sukkah at around 11:35. The Rebbe recited the order of the Ushpizin and washed, and before the fish the zemiros of Melaveh Malkah were sung.
The ushpizin sponsors set out wine and brought kugels, and the Rebbe distributed shirayim to the ushpizin sponsors.

With the Shir HaMaalos, the Rebbe honored: HaGaon R' Kalman Halberstam shlit"a, rav of the Beis Medrash of Sanz in Kiryas Joel. R' Moshe Goldstein. Rabbi Moshe Hersh Klein shlit"a. R' Moshe Yosef Friedman. R' Moshe Kahana (Boro Park). R' Moshe Yosef Wertheimer (Williamsburg).

The Rebbe shlit"a said a Torah thought that the four species instill a holiness into every Jew, and this makes it possible to see in which letter of the Sefer Torah his soul is connected, and through this one is not swallowed up among the majority of the nations.

Birkas Hamazon: HaGaon R' Zalman Leib Rubin shlit"a, the Dinov Rebbe of Monsey. After bentching, the singing and music continued, and the Rebbe stood up to dance in honor of Simchas Beis HaShoeivah. It concluded at around 1:40.

Shabbos Chol HaMoed Sukkos, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At around 6:45 in the afternoon, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis. Mincha: HaRav HaTzaddik R' Berel Glanz shlit"a. Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Boruch Eckstein. The davening concluded at around 7:55. The congregation went over to wish a gut Shabbos, and the Rebbe went home to his holy residence.

At around 10:45, the Rebbe entered the shulchan hatahor in the Sukkah HaGedolah. The Rebbe first invited the ushpizin, and then began "Sholom Aleichem" with great emotion and sweetness, until "Melech Tamim Darko."

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Vayikatz Yaakov mishnaso," and explained by way of drush that since "mitzvos were not given for enjoyment," one can do teshuva even for a mitzvah that came through an aveira.

Shabbos Kodesh Day

On Shabbos morning, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:45. Berachos and Pesukei D'Zimra: R' Kalman Gefen. The Rebbe approached Shacharis and Hallel with outpouring of the soul, and then recited the Hoshanos for Shabbos by heart with great arousal.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Vehineh sulam mutzav artzah verosho magia hashamayma," and explained that it was revealed to Yaakov Avinu through prophecy the great significance in Heaven of the avodah and the fulfillment of mitzvos by every simple Jew, not only by the elevated ones; even upon the sukkah of simple people, Hashem's holy Names rest, and it brings great influences in all matters.

The Rebbe recited Zechiras verse by verse, and approached Shacharis and Hallel, and performed the holy service of the na'anuim for an extended time with holy fire, and after Hallel recited the Hoshanos with great arousal.

At about 11:00 the Rebbe entered the pure table in the sukkah hagedolah. The Rebbe invited the ushpizin and recited Kiddush.
Hagbahas HaKos: the honor went to HaTzaddik Rabbi Berel Glantz shlit"a of Bardiov, Kiryas Joel.
The hosts of the ushpizin set out wine and brought kugels, and the Rebbe distributed shirayim to the hosts of the ushpizin.

For the zemiros, the Rebbe honored his grandson the bochur Yitzchak Eizik ny"u, son of the Gaon HaTzaddik, Rav of the Beis Baruch beis medrash shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "And may G-d give you of the dew of the heavens," and explained that through the na'anuim in the sukkah one merits kindness and mercy and forgiveness of sins.

Birkas Hamazon: the Rebbe's grandson Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Taub shlit"a, son-in-law of the Gaon HaTzaddik, Rav of the Yismach Moshe beis medrash shlit"a. After bentching they continued with song and zemiros in honor of the simchas Beis HaShoeivah. They finished at about 12:45.

On Erev Yom Tov in the afternoon hours, the Rebbe bound the lulav and said the yehi ratzon as is customary, and before candle lighting made an eruv tavshilin.

In the evening at around 7:00, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis. Mincha: HaGaon Rabbi Akiva Yosef Kahana shlit"a, son-in-law of the Spinka Beis Yitzchak Rebbe shlit"a. Maariv: R' Dovid Eckstein. They finished at around 7:55.
After davening, the congregation went over to wish a good Yom Tov, and the Rebbe went home to his holy home.

At around 10:50, the Rebbe entered the pure table in the large sukkah. The Rebbe recited a blessing, lit the Yom Tov candles, invited the ushpizin and said the tefillah for the first night, and sat down, as is customary, at the words of the Haggadah-like text (tivu tivu).

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the Midrash, "You said, 'and rest yourselves under the tree'—by your life, I will repay your children with the mitzvah of sukkah," and explained that through the power of Avrohom Avinu, who rooted the attribute of chesed, the Jewish people merited the Clouds of Glory even without a prior request, and this continues to this very day: Jews are helped with everything they need even before they ask.
