The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a at the siyum on Maseches Kiddushin by the graduating ninth-grade talmidim of our holy mosdos in Williamsburg, which took place last night, Motzei Shabbos, in the halls of Ginas Esther in Williamsburg.

Motzei Shabbos, Parshas Noach — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At around 10:00 the Rebbe paid a shiva visit to the family of R' Fishel Soffer a"h.

Afterward the Rebbe set out for Williamsburg to the gathering for the siyum on Maseches Kiddushin by the graduating ninth-grade talmidim of our holy mosdos, which took place in the halls of Ginas Esther.

Upon arriving in Williamsburg, the Rebbe paid shiva visits to R' Berel Shimenowitz and his sons, and to R' Tuvia Goldstein, who are sitting shiva for his wife / their mother / his daughter a"h.

The Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the hall at around 11:40, and greeted the Av Beis Din of Boro Park shlit"a, HaGaon HaTzaddik, and the Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a, HaGaon HaTzaddik, and the rabbonim shlit"a seated at the head table. The menahel, Rabbi Yehuda Ber Teller shlit"a, then continued with his address, after which one of the students sang rhymes in honor of the occasion.
The Rebbe drank a lechayim and offered blessings to the rabbonim shlit"a, the parents, and all the bochurim. He delivered words of Torah on the verse "These are the generations of Noach," explaining that only with the power of the holy Torah was Noach able to overcome the trials of his time. He then spoke in praise of the bochurim who had toiled in Torah all year and completed Maseches Kiddushin, and blessed all the bochurim who are now entering the yeshivos ketanos with abundant blessings, that they should continue to succeed in growing in Torah and fear of Heaven.

After the words of Torah, the Rebbe distributed to the bochurim the sefer "Shemuasa D'Mar A"H T"B" on the order of the parshiyos, combined with various sugyos from Maseches Kiddushin. At around 12:20 the Rebbe left the hall, on the way to Kiryas Joel.

Shabbos Parshas Noach, 2 Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a — At the restful stay in the guest house of the distinguished philanthropist R' Yechezkel Dovid Berkowitz, located in a quiet area of Kiryas Joel

Friday night at around 6:25, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash of the guest house wrapped in his tallis and went to the amud for Mincha and Kabbalas Shabbos, led by R' Shlomo Zalman Horowitz. After davening the Rebbe thanked him and said, "You made an oneg Shabbos." The davening ended at around 7:45, and the congregation went over to wish him a good Shabbos.

The Rebbe shlit"a held the Shabbos seudah privately in the guest house with a small number of close chassidim, and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem with feeling and sweetness, followed by Eishes Chayil.

At around 10:00 the doors were opened for the zemiros and divrei Torah.
The Rebbe shlit"a honored the following with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: R' Naftali Hirtzka Stein; Menucha V'Simcha: the bochur Shneur Zalman Eckstein.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Es Elokim hishalech Noach" ("Noach walked with G-d"), explaining in the manner of a derush the topic of whether we follow the pronunciation of the written text or the traditional reading (yesh em lamikra o lamasores).

Kah Echsof: R' Avrohom Yaakov Weinberger; Birkas Hamazon: R' Yehoshua Mendlowitz.

Stories and anecdotes: This week the Rebbe shlit"a told over about the Rozhin Rebbe zy"a, whose yahrzeit falls on 3 Cheshvan.
Kah Ribon Olam: R' Shaul, son of R' Michel Friedman; Az B'Yom HaShvi'i: R' Dovid Farkash. The seudah ended at around 11:45.

On Shabbos Kodesh

The Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash of the guest house at around 9:50. Pesukei D'Zimra: the avreich R' Shimon Barzeski; Shacharis: R' Chaim Shlomo Krauss. Hakol Yoducha was recited verse by verse, and Mimkomcha was sung as is customary. The Rebbe went to the amud for Hallel.

Hotzaah and Hachnasah (taking out and returning the Torah): HaGaon R' Avrohom Leib Landau shlit"a and R' Dovid Farkash. Baal Koreh: HaGaon R' Avrohom Leib Landau shlit"a.

Gelilah: the bochur Moshe Mendlowitz.

The Rebbe shlit"a went to the amud for Mussaf in honor of Shabbos Rosh Chodesh. Opening of Ano'im Zemiros: R' Avrohom Masri. The davening ended at around 1:00.

After davening, the Rebbe shlit"a instructed that Kiddush be brought in for the Yidden who live far away and still had a long way to walk home.

The Rebbe ate the Shabbos day seudah privately.
The zemiros were sung, and the Rebbe sang Barchu Nafshi, and Birkas Hamazon was led by R' Naftali Hirtzka Stein.

The Rebbe entered for Mincha and Shalosh Seudos at around 6:20. Mincha: R' Wolf Friedlander. Hotzaah and Hachnasah: R' Yisroel Yaakov Deutsch. Kohen: R' Eliezer Dovid Glick. Levi: the bochur Aharon Mandel. Shlishi: R' Dovid Eckstein of Eretz Yisroel. Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a. Gelilah: R' Chaim Hersh Oberlander.

The Rebbe honored the following with the zemiros at Shalosh Seudos. Odeh: R' Dovid Eckstein; Shir HaMaalos: R' Chaim Hersh Oberlander.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Es Elokim hishalech Noach" — the Sefer Torah of a wise man — explaining that "Eileh Toldos Noach" can be read as an acronym, meaning that through the strength of Noach, who overcame his desires, even in the generation of the Flood the power of the Sender, Hashem, remained, so that he was able to learn and to overcome the challenges of the time.

Yedid Nefesh: R' Yisroel Yaakov Deutsch; Kel Mistaser: R' Moshe Menachem Schlesinger. The Rebbe made a bracha over the cup.

Maariv of Motzei Shabbos: R' Naftali Sofer. The congregation went over to wish him a good week. The davening ended at around 8:20.

The Rebbe shlit"a made Havdalah privately.

Thursday 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis at the guest residence at around 9:15. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

After Shacharis, at around 10:30, the Rebbe traveled to Monsey, to the guest residence of HaRav R' Avrohom Yekusiel Yermiash.

At around 11:00, an important meeting took place at the residence, following the extensive, massive advocacy efforts undertaken by the Rebbe shlit"a to save New York Jewry from the decrees against chinuch, for the benefit of the klal and the individual, may they live long. Present were the esteemed Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, together with Congressman Mike Lawler, who represents Monsey and is running for reelection, accompanied by the leaders and administration of the holy city of Kiryas Joel, HaRav R' Gedalya Segal, and the leaders of our holy kehilla in Monsey.
The meeting was very warm, with a strong understanding of our customs. Johnson also expressed great thanks that our community endorsed former President Trump, after meeting with his team at Trump Tower for the same purposes now being discussed here.
They spoke for a longer time about the decree against chinuch in New York and what they can do to help with everything in their power. "The Education Department wants us to be 'substantially equivalent' to the curriculum of the public schools, but we say that one must look at whether we are substantially equivalent in the 'results'... the good fruits of our chinuch: there are no criminals, there are huge businessmen, a vibrant economy, a wonderful housing market." The Rebbe told the Speaker how many children our mosdos throughout New York have, baruch Hashem standing at around 50,000, may they live and be well, which made a strong impression and brought great admiration. They also discussed other matters for the benefit of the klal, and they promised to cooperate on everything that will be raised regarding the problem of chinuch and all other issues. The Rebbe shlit"a bestowed upon them his holy blessing in honor of the upcoming elections.

After the meeting, at around 11:45, the Rebbe went to pay a visit to his relative, the Vizhnitz Monsey Rebbe shlit"a. A pleasant conversation ensued about yeshivos of the past and present, and about various customs of the month of Tishrei. The Vizhnitz Monsey Rebbe shlit"a honored the Rebbe shlit"a with a lechayim, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him his holy blessing.

The Rebbe davened Mincha at the guest residence at around 6:40 and Maariv at the time of Rabbeinu Tam. Baal tefillah: the bochur Moshe Aryeh, son of Eliezer Weider.

After Maariv, a siyum of writing letters took place for the Sefer Torah being written by HaRav R' Kalman Eliezer Dana. The Rebbe wrote in the letters, drank a lechayim, and bestowed of his holy blessing.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the main beis medrash. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
The twin sons of R' Yekusiel Tzvi Weiss.
The bochur Avrohom Yosha Perenz.
The bochur Yaakov Moshe Goldberger.
The bochur Yosef Aharon Sofer.
The bochur Yoel, son of Avrohom Yaakov Yehuda Rosenbaum.
The bochur Yosef Dovid Laub.
The bochur Shalom Shimi Mittelman.
The bochur Gershon Menachem Neustadt.

After davening, a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the hechal of the beis medrash.
Afterwards, in his private room, there was a writing of letters for the Sefer Torah being written by R' Aharon Mermelstein of Yerushalayim. The Rebbe wrote in the letters and bestowed his holy blessing.

In the morning hours, the Rebbe distributed remnants of the sukkah decorations to the bochurim who helped build and take down the sukkah at his holy home. The Rebbe thanked them and bestowed his holy blessing.

In the afternoon at around 5:45, the Rebbe davened Mincha at his holy home.
After Mincha, the Rebbe comforted the mourning family of R' Avrohom Yaakov Moskowitz a"h, the family of R' Shmuel Yehuda Felberbaum a"h, and R' Binyon Yosha Kraus, who is sitting shiva for his brother a"h.

At around 7:45, the Rebbe left his holy home and went to the guest residence in the home of the distinguished philanthropist R' Yechezkel Dovid Berkowitz in one of the quiet areas of Kiryas Joel, where the Rebbe will be staying for rest during the week until after Shabbos Kodesh.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 9:00 at the guest residence. Baal tefilla: the bochur Moshe Aryeh, son of Eliezer Wieder (London).
