Part 2 of the report, Tuesday, Parshas Vayeira, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a - Trip to visit the shechita in the country of Uruguay

At around 4:30 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the airport in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where the Rebbe's private plane took off at around 4:50 for a 25-minute flight to the country of Uruguay.

On the plane, the Rebbe shlit"a went over with the rabbonim shlit"a all the details and hiddurim within the shechita system here at the new plant.

At around 5:15 the private plane landed at the local airport in Uruguay, and the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the guesthouse at 6:40.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Mincha together with the shochtim. Baal tefillah: Rabbi Chaim Betzalel Blum.
After Mincha, the Rebbe greeted all the shochtim.

At around 8:30 the Rebbe shlit"a checked the knives, as each of the shochtim individually gave the Rebbe their knives to check. Afterward Maariv was davened. Baal tefillah: R' Chaim Shlomo Fisher.

After Maariv a lechayim gathering was held with the shochtim, where the Rebbe delivered words of divrei kibbush and guidance, and emphasized the responsibility resting on the shochtim, for whom kashrus is the foundation, and how many Jews can be brought to merit through a single animal, or, chas v'shalom, be caused to stumble, as well as the great merit of the shochtim. He concluded with holy blessings and said that he did not want to keep the shochtim too long, since they would be standing at 5 in the morning to shecht.

After the words, all the shochtim came over to take shirayim from the Rebbe shlit"a.

At around 10:00 the Rebbe shlit"a traveled over to the plant together with HaGaon Rabbi, the Dayan and Av Beis Din of Boro Park shlit"a, and HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of Monsey shlit"a. First the Rebbe looked over the place of shechita and the box where the animals are shechted, which is turned over so that the shechita is a shechita munachas, in order to see this up close, not during the work.
Then the Rebbe went over to the nikkur section, where the Rebbe examined for an extended time the entire nikkur apparatus on the meat of today's shechita, and gave various instructions and guidance to the mashgichim.

From there the Rebbe went over to follow the salting sections, and personally exerted himself physically to follow the entire salting procedure, and then continued to the sections of stufa, soaking and rinsing, with all the chumros and hiddurim that are practiced by the Rebbe shlit"a.

Then the Rebbe went in to see the gigantic area of the packaging apparatus, which has already been prepared for tomorrow, and examined for an extended time the entire procedure of how it operates, how the kosher meat is separated from the treif meat, etc., where everything is carried out with the greatest degree of hiddur.

At around 1:00, after a full three hours during which the Rebbe exerted himself physically throughout the entire plant with all its sections, the Rebbe returned to the guesthouse.

Tomorrow morning at 6:30 local time the Rebbe shlit"a will return to look over the shechita system, the external and internal examinations, the examinations of the innards, the packaging and all the remaining sections.

Monday–Tuesday, Parshas Vayeira, "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a
Brief Visit of the Rebbe shlit"a Among the Community in Buenos Aires, Argentina

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Divrei Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put on tefillin for the bar mitzvah bochurim:
the son of R' Yoel Weinberger shlit"a;
the bochur Yoel Schreiber.

During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for Hagbah. After davening, he learned the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 24, verse 1. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the afternoon at around 5:00, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy residence.

After Mincha, at around 5:25, the Rebbe left his holy residence on the way to JFK Airport, from where the Rebbe shlit"a traveled to visit the shechita in the country of Uruguay, where our holy kehilla will begin to shecht large animals with the utmost kashrus and hiddur, in accordance with the rulings of our holy Rabbis, with a stopover for a brief visit in Argentina among the community.

At around 7:05 the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the airport. After a short while the Rebbe davened Maariv in the Chabad house; the baal tefilla was R' Moshe Dovid Davidowitz.
After Maariv, the local Chabad rabbi, Rabbi Yosef Raab shlit"a, and his father-in-law Rabbi Eliezer Reitzik shlit"a, one of the rabbis of "Mikvah International," took leave of the Rebbe. They presented the Rebbe shlit"a with a report of their many efforts to build mikvaos around the world, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessings upon him.

At around 8:40 the Rebbe boarded the plane together with HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din of our kehilla in Boro Park shlit"a, and HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Rav of Monsey shlit"a, and a select few close followers.

At 9:02 the plane took off. On the way, the Rebbe shlit"a learned his shiur in Maseches Bava Kama for an extended time, and then engaged in a lengthy conversation with the Av Beis Din of Boro Park shlit"a and the Rav of Monsey shlit"a about a current question of ribbis that is on the table, and they delved into it at length.

The plane landed today, Tuesday, at 9:41 local time, where the Rebbe was greeted with song and joy by HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din of Kehal Charedim Argentina shlit"a, and most members of the kehilla. People came to greet the Rebbe, and the Rebbe traveled a 40-minute drive to the lodging.
After a short break at the lodging, the Rebbe shlit"a went to the local great beis medrash of Kehal Charedim, where the entire community, elderly and young alike, greeted the Rebbe shlit"a in the street with song and joy. The children of the talmud torah received the Rebbe in the beis medrash, where the Rebbe looked upon the children with affection and deep emotion.

Afterwards, the Rebbe went to view the large mikvah in the building, and then went to immerse in the private mikvah of HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din of Kehal Charedim Buenos Aires, Argentina shlit"a, in the beis medrash building.

At around 11:50 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash for Shacharis. The baal tefilla was HaRav HaChassid R' Moshe HaKohen Gabra.

After davening, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Yitzchak Salem, where the Rebbe served as sandek and recited the brachos.

Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a paid a visit to HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din of Kehal Charedim shlit"a, in his apartment above the beis medrash. Also present were HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din of Boro Park shlit"a, and HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Rav of Monsey shlit"a, as well as HaGaon R' Shmuel Ari Levin shlit"a, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Chafetz Chaim Argentina. The Rebbe shlit"a praised all the esteemed fruits that have come out of the kehilla: rabbinic decisors, sofrim, and those who spread Torah, and quality people who succeeded in New York. He then engaged in a lengthy conversation about the shechita, all the matters of history in Argentina and Uruguay, and all the takanos that were instituted. The Rav honored the Rebbe shlit"a with a lechayim, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessings. On the way out, the Rebbe sent his good wishes to the Rebbetzin tlit"a.

Afterwards, at around 1:55, the Rebbe went down to the beis medrash for the welcoming ceremony with song and joy, with the participation of the entire kehilla: elders, avreichim and baalei batim. On one side of the beis medrash were the bochurim, and on the other side the children, and all the righteous women in the ezras nashim.
Several niggunim were sung. Rabbi Mordechai Efraim Fishel, son of HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din of Kehal Charedim shlit"a, welcomed the Rebbe with a few words. Afterwards the Rav shlit"a delivered his heartfelt address and greeted the Rebbe, and noted that the last time the Rebbe came was on a mission from the holy Rebbe, the Beirach Moshe zy"a, and now the Rebbe had come to see his own students, as the great majority of the kehilla are students of the Rebbe who learned in the Rebbe's yeshiva.

The Rebbe shlit"a delivered holy words, expressed his emotion and his praise for the beautiful kehilla with its good fruits, and warmly bestowed abundant blessings.

The Rebbe drank a lechayim and gave good wishes to the entire community, and distributed a Sefer Tehillim to all the children. He also left a generous gift for all the staff of the mosdos and the members of the kollel. The event concluded at around 3:00 and the Rebbe returned to the lodging.

At around 3:15 the Rebbe shlit"a went to the new site of the large building for the mosdos. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and gave good wishes to the entire community, and then bid farewell with heartfelt emotion, and personally gave warm blessings to the Rav shlit"a.

The event concluded at around 3:45 and the Rebbe set out for the airport to continue the journey to the shechita in the country of Uruguay, leaving behind a holy impression and great chizuk for the community members, residents of the city.

Blessed is he who comes in the name of Hashem

Tuesday, Parshas Vayeira, 9:41 in the morning in Argentina (7:41 New York time). In these very minutes, the flight of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a landed, b'sha'a tova u'metzuyenes, in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The Rebbe shlit"a will travel into the city, a drive of about 40 minutes, to the place of lodging, and then travel to the local beis medrash, Kehal Charedim, for Shacharis among the chassidim. Afterwards a lechayim gathering and reception will take place, and later in the afternoon, the farewell gathering and lechayim celebration in honor of the completion of the purchase of the Talmud Torah building in the city.
Afterwards the Rebbe will continue the journey to visit the shechita in the country of Uruguay.

When the tzaddik is in the city, he is its glory, its splendor, and its majesty

Sunday, Parshas Vayeira, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Kedushas Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put on tefillin for the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Shlomo Elazar Teitelbaum.
After davening, the Rebbe recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 21, verse 4.

During the morning hours, the Rebbe went on the weekly visit to the Beis HaShechita HaMehuderes.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe went up to the Heichal HaYeshiva, Vayoel Moshe branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room. At around 5:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim.
R' Ariel Shlomo Massri (Boro Park) - R' Shaul Yoel Suad, in the halls of Kinor David.
R' Moshe Shalom Ginsberg - R' Avrohom Yehoshua Farkash, in the halls of Beis Rachel Paradise.

The yichus (reception) hours in the Rebbe's holy home on Uhel Court were from 8:10 until 12:40 at night.

During the reception hours, HaGaon Rabbi Hersh Elimelech Teitelbaum shlit"a, Rav of the Beis Medrash Tefilla L'Moshe of our holy kehilla in Boro Park, entered the Rebbe's home together with his son the chassan, to receive the Rebbe's holy blessing for the wedding taking place this coming Tuesday, Parshas Chayei Sarah, b'ezras Hashem, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him from his holy blessing.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:25 and then continued receiving the public.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Lech Lecha — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before candle lighting, the Rebbe placed the shtreimel on the chassan Meir Michoel, son of Nissim Saal.

On Friday night at around 5:15, the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and went to the amud for Mincha and Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Dovid Eckstein. They finished at around 6:50. The congregation went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went home to his holy residence.

At around 8:25, the Rebbe entered the holy tish in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the mesivta, and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem with feeling and sweetness.
Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the bochur Yissachar Ber Teitelbaum, son of HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Berach Moshe Teitelbaum shlit"a, Rav of the beis medrash. Lifting of the cup (Hagbahas HaKos): R' Eliezer Dov Engel (Yerushalayim).

Before the fish, the Rebbe delivered a Dvar Torah on the verse "to the land that I will show you," and explained that the Torah was given to the Jewish people and not to the angels, because Jewish children serve the Creator also with physical things, with eating and drinking. At the Shabbos seudah one engages in songs and praises to the Holy Creator. He urged that one should conduct the three Shabbos seudos properly and fittingly.

For the zemiros, the Rebbe shlit"a honored the sons of HaTzaddik R' Aharon Teitelbaum shlit"a, Rav of Kehal Eitz Chaim Sigete in Monsey. Kol Mekadesh: Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum shlit"a. Menucha V'Simcha: Rabbi Zalman Leib Teitelbaum shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a said a Torah thought on the verse "Lech lecha mei'artzecha" and explained it in the manner of derush on the topic of "an affirmative commandment that overrides a negative commandment," and "affirmative and negative."

On the Holy Day of Shabbos

On Shabbos morning, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:20. Brachos and Pesukei D'Zimra: HaGaon R' Shimon Avrohom Roth shlit"a. The Rebbe went to the amud for Shacharis.

Hotzaah and Hachnasah (taking out and returning the Torah): R' Avrohom Shalom Landau. The verses of Shema Yisroel: HaGaon R' Zalman Leib Berkowitz shlit"a, Rosh Av Beis Din of Spinka, Boro Park.

Aliyos. Kohen: R' Shlomo Katz. Levi: the chassan Yosef, son of Rabbi Shlomo Leib Gruber shlit"a – a chassan whose aufruf was held. Shlishi: the chassan Eliezer Sussman, son of Rabbi Shimon Avrohom Roth shlit"a – aufruf. Revi'i: R' Meir Hirsch. Chamishi: the chassan Naftali Hirtzka, son of R' Yoel Weider. After his aliyah, the Rebbe made a naming for a newborn daughter for:

For Mincha and Shalosh Seudos, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 5:15. Mincha: R' Yoel Hirsch. Hotzaah and Hachnasah: R' Yehoshua Brach. Kohen: R' Yitzchak Elikim Schwartz. Levi: R' Alexander Meizels (Boro Park). Shlishi: Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum shlit"a. Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a. Gelilah: Rabbi Nosson Teitelbaum shlit"a.

The Rebbe honored the zemiros at Shalosh Seudos. Odeh: R' Noach Gefen. Shir HaMa'alos: R' Moshe Goldstein.

The Rebbe shlit"a said a Torah thought on the verse "Lech lecha mei'artzecha" and explained that the avodah of every Jew, wherever he may be, is important, even if one thinks to himself that it is not accepted in Heaven. On the contrary, specifically then it carries greater importance in Heaven, and this avodah brings one to merit the day that is entirely Shabbos. He also urged that now, after Yom Tov, is the time to fulfill the good commitments that each person took upon himself according to his level.

Yedid Nefesh: HaGaon R' Yosef Mendel Berkowitz shlit"a, Moreh Tzedek in the Beis Din Shevet HaLevi, Boro Park. Kel Mistater: R' Yosef Klein (Williamsburg). The Rebbe recited the blessing over the cup and said the Sheva Brachos.
Maariv of Motzei Shabbos: R' Hershel Kahn. After Havdalah, the congregation went over to wish a good week. Afterward, the Rebbe made Kiddush Levana in front of the beis medrash and wished a good week and a good month.
They finished at around 7:40, and the Rebbe shlit"a was escorted with song and music, with "Ki Malachav," on the occasion of his short trip this week to the shechita in the state of Uruguay.

On Motzei Shabbos at around 9:45, a group of bochurim, graduates of the Yeshiva Ketana branch Heichal HaTorah of our holy mosdos in Williamsburg, entered the Rebbe's holy residence in a private audience, together with the principal, HaGaon R' Yudel Stolzenberg shlit"a, and stood before the Rebbe shlit"a for examination on the studies of the past three years in Maseches Gittin, Bava Kamma, and Nedarim. The Rebbe examined the bochurim for an extended time, and afterward the bochurim went over to receive a holy blessing, and the Rebbe gave all the bochurim a gift of a silver becher.
