The Night of the Second Day of Chanukah - 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 6:00 in his holy home. Before Maariv, the bochur Shalom Eliezer, son of R' Berel Stein, lit the menorah.

At around 8:15, the Rebbe shlit"a set out on the way to Williamsburg, where the Rebbe will spend Shabbos among our holy kehilla.

At around 9:45, the Rebbe entered our Great Beis Medrash for the lighting of the Chanukah candles, amid a large crowd, in the splendor of a king. The Rebbe poured in the oil and recited the blessings over the lighting.
Afterward, the Rebbe recited the zemiros, and inspiring melodies were sung, and the choir sang the piyutim as is customary.

Afterward, the Rebbe shlit"a delivered a holy discourse of drush and pilpul on the sugya in Maseches Shabbos regarding "kibsah zakuk lah," and continued in the way of aggadah, explaining that just as we see by Birkas Kohanim that the kohanim bless all of Klal Yisroel and each person is blessed with the specific blessing he needs, so too the Chanukah light bestows a specific blessing upon each and every person. The Rebbe praised hundreds of members of the kehilla who made use of the days when many Jews were not working, sitting in the beis medrash and learning, and encouraged and urged them to do the same in the coming week, when there are also days on which people do not work, and concluded with many blessings.

After the holy discourse, they continued singing nigunim. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and wished holy blessings. It concluded at around 11:10.

Friday, Erev Shabbos Miketz, Second Day of Chanukah

In the morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place in our beis medrash "Lev Aharon" for the newborn son of R' Meir Tambor, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in our Great Beis Medrash together with the students of grades 7, 8 and 9 from all branches of our holy mosdos. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- The bochur Levi Yitzchak Teitelbaum.
- The bochur Yoel Drummer.

The Rebbe went up to Hallel.
- Petichah: HaRav Elazar Eichenstein shlit"a.
- Kohen: HaRav Yaakov Barzel Glick shlit"a.
- Levi: HaRav Avrohom Yitzchak Moskowitz shlit"a.
- Shlishi: the Rebbe shlit"a.
- Hagbah: HaRav Moshe Eliyahu Green shlit"a.
- Gelilah: HaRav Yoel Berish Stern shlit"a.

After davening, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Heichal of the beis medrash.

Thursday, Parshas Miketz, First Day of Chanukah - 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal of the Mesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Yoel, son of R' Yaakov Yosef Schwartz.

The Rebbe went up to Hallel, and during the Torah reading, Hagbah took place. After davening, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.

In the afternoon at around 5:15, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.
