Thursday, Parshas Vayechi — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Chananya Levi, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- the bochur Moshe Jacob.
- the bochur Yaakov Yosef Hoffman.
- the bochur Yoel, son of Moshe Teichman.

During the Torah reading the Rebbe went to hagbah, and after davening he recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 24, verse 1. Afterwards a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

At around 1:10 the Rebbe arrived at the Talmud Torah 'Binyan Klein' for the 'Start of Learning Mishnayos' event with nearly 450 third-grade talmidim from all four branches of Mosdos Kiryas Yoel. The children sang several songs and rhymes in honor of the occasion, led by the principals R' Yechiel Yitzchak Spitzer shlit"a, R' Yehoshua Zalman Wertzberger shlit"a, R' Fishel Kaufman shlit"a, and R' Yoel Halpert shlit"a.
The Rebbe drank a lechayim and spoke a few words of blessing, expressing the joy over the children beginning to learn Mishnayos, and concluded with his holy blessing.
The Rebbe then distributed shirayim to his grandchildren, and to all the rebbeim to distribute to the children. The children then sang 'Va'ani' while the Rebbe listened with great nachas. It concluded at around 1:40.

On his way out, the Rebbe entered one of the older classes, where he tested the children on their studies with great pleasure.

In the afternoon at around 4:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

After Mincha, the Rebbe paid a shiva call to HaRav HaChassid R' Amram Cohen, who is sitting shiva for his sister a"h.

Afterwards the Rebbe traveled to Monsey, where he paid a shiva call to the Vizhnitz Monsey Rebbe shlit"a and his distinguished sons, and his brother-in-law, the Gaon Av Beis Din of Kiryas Yoel shlit"a, who were sitting shiva for his wife / their mother / his sister, the Vizhnitz Monsey Rebbetzin a"h.
The Rebbe arrived at the Great Beis Medrash of Vizhnitz Monsey at around 5:15, and a pleasant conversation ensued about stories of the House of Vizhnitz and Uhel. At around 5:45 the Rebbe left the beis medrash and traveled home to Kiryas Joel.

Reception hours in the Kodesh Kodashim were from 7:45 until after 1:00 at night, in his holy home on Uhel Street.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim for the mechutanim, R' Levi Yitzchak Gestetner and R' Shraga Elchanan Wertzberger.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:50 and then continued receiving the public.

Wednesday, Parshas Vayechi — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, the following brissen took place:
- The son born to R' Dovid Yuda Halpert, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.
- The son born to R' Meir Fried, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Moshe Yoel Kaufman.
After davening, a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.

Around 11:30 the Rebbe traveled to Monsey for the levaya of the Rebbetzin a"h, wife of the Vizhnitz Monsey Rebbe shlit"a, which took place at the Beis Medrash HaGadol of Vizhnitz in Monsey. The Rebbe waited during the hakafos and then accompanied the bier on the way to the cemetery.

In the afternoon hours, the members of the Kashrus Committee of Kiryas Joel, headed by HaGaon Rabbi Hersh Leib Bernstein shlit"a, chairman, came to the Rebbe's holy home, together with R' Michoel Dov and his brother R' Nosson Mordechai of the esteemed Hertzog family, the owners of the 'Kedem' company, which produces and imports to America many wines and brandies, together with Rabbi Nachum Rabinowitz shlit"a of the OU kashrus organization and several wine and brandy experts and specialists of the Kedem company. They came to discuss and inquire how they can meet the kashrus standards that the Rebbe shlit"a has established in Kiryas Joel, and implement them for the many wines and brandies that they produce and import.
For close to an hour and a half they discussed full particulars and details of all types of brandies, to clarify which items and which kashrus standards are required in order for a product to be sold in Kiryas Joel. Among other things, several specialists from the company presented details on how many brandies are made. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Rebbe bestowed abundant blessings upon the owners and all those present.

In the afternoon at around 5:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

In the evening the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the following mechutanim:
- R' Hillel Hirsch - R' Yuda Moskowitz, in the halls of Kinor Dovid.
- R' Yoel Berish Goldberger - R' Yehoshua Hersh Friedman, in the halls of Ginas Klein.

After the chuppos the Rebbe went to the Beis Rochel building, Binyan Hirsch G.B. Landau, where learning is held by the Rutz LaMishna masmidim. The Rebbe looked in on the learning with great satisfaction and pleasure, and bestowed of his holy blessing.

Entry hours at the Rebbe's holy home on Ohel Court were from 8:00 until 1:30 after midnight.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim for the following mechutanim:
- HaGaon Rabbi Dovid Leib Kraus shlit"a - R' Yisroel Fischer.
- R' Avrohom Gavra - R' Mordechai Twill.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:50. After Maariv, the Rebbe recited Kiddush Levana and then continued receiving the public.

Tuesday, Parshas Vayechi — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Hersh Leib Landau, a member of the beis din, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Eitz Chaim branch - Shiur 3. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Shmuel Deutsch.

After davening, the Rebbe led the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 24, verse 1. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in the heichal of the beis medrash.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe went up to the Heichal HaYeshiva, Birkas Moshe branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room. At around 5:15, the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening, the Rebbe traveled to Williamsburg for the weekly reception hours.

Upon arriving in Williamsburg, the Rebbe paid a shiva call to HaRav HaChasid R' Yaakov Yuda Weiss, who is sitting shiva for his son a"h.

The reception hours took place from 8:30 until 1:30 after midnight, in the Rebbe's holy home on Hewes St.

During the reception hours, the Rebbe's mechutan, HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din of Brezdovitz shlit"a, came in privately to the Rebbe shlit"a, bringing the sefer 'Shema Yaakov' of the Elgazi, which he had reissued in a beautiful print and format on the advice of the Rebbe shlit"a. A pleasant conversation ensued, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him from his holy blessing.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:50 and then continued receiving the public.
