Sunday, Parshas Tetzaveh — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Heichal HaMesivta, Kedushas Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The bochur Binyon Schwartz.
- The bochur Yoel son of Avrohom Mendlowitz.
- The bochur Yitzchak Lichtenstein.
- The bochur Shmuel Green.

After davening, the Rebbe delivered the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 24, verse 1. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the afternoon, around 3:00, the talmidim of Yeshivas Ohel Moshe of Lakewood, under the leadership of HaGaon Rabbi Mordechai Schlesinger shlit"a, entered for a reception. The Rebbe tested the bochurim on their studies, and the bochurim went over to receive a blessing.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe went up to Heichal HaYeshiva, Divrei Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room. Around 5:50, the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim.

- R' Yitzchak Eizik Friedman - R' Moshe Goldberger, in the Kinor Dovid hall.

The reception hours were from 7:45 until 12:00 at night, at his holy home on Ohel Court.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim of the mechutanim R' Dovid Moshe Neustadt - R' Yoel Markowitz.

The Rebbe davened Maariv around 12:00.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Terumah – Shabbos Shekalim – Rosh Chodesh Adar, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before candle-lighting time, the Rebbe put the shtreimel on the chasanim.
- The chasan Yoshe, son of Yitzchak Friedman.
- The chasan Yechiel Shlomo, son of Yitzchak Eisik Friedman.

On Friday night at around 6:15, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: HaRav R' Zalman Leib Berach Chaim Filaff shlit"a. They finished at around 7:55. An appeal was made on behalf of our holy mosdos in Manchester. The congregation then went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went into his private room.

At around 8:40, the Rebbe entered the holy table in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the mesivta, and began, as is his holy custom, with Shalom Aleichem, with feeling and sweetness.
Eshes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the young man Yissachar Ber T"B, son of the Rebbe's brother, HaGaon Rabbi, rav of the beis medrash Beirach Moshe shlit"a. Hagbahas HaKos: R' Dovid Shimon Frumowitz (of Williamsburg).

The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: HaGaon R' Chaim Yosef Wertzberger shlit"a, av beis din of Hunyad. Menucha V'Simcha: HaGaon R' Berish Rosenberg shlit"a (of Williamsburg).

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the Tanna D'vei Eliyahu, "At the time that Israel said 'We will do and we will hear,' Hakadosh Baruch Hu immediately said, 'Let them take for Me a terumah,'" and explained it in the manner of a derush within the sugya of "there is no reward for a mitzvah in this world."

For Or Panecha, in honor of Shabbos Shekalim, the Rebbe honored his grandson Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum shlit"a, son of the Av Beis Din of Sighet shlit"a, and it was sung with great inspiration.
The new chasanim went over to take fruit. Az B'Yom HaShevi'i: Rabbi Hershel Ashkenazi shlit"a, chasan of the Spinka Beis Yitzchak Rebbe shlit"a. They finished at around 11:50.

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:25. Berachos and Pesukei D'Zimra: HaGaon R' Yoel Gutman shlit"a, moreh tzedek. The Rebbe approached the amud for Shacharis, Yotzer, and Hallel; Mechalkel Chaim and Mimkomcha were sung as is the custom.

For the Haftorah, the Rebbe said the haftorah of Shabbos Shekalim and the first verse of the haftorah of Shabbos Rosh Chodesh.

The Rebbe approached the amud for Mussaf in honor of Shabbos Shekalim and Shabbos Rosh Chodesh, and the piyutim were sung as is the custom. Opening of Ane'im Zemiros: R' Meir Dovid Masri. They finished at around 1:20.

For Mincha and Seudah Shlishis, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 6:20.
- Mincha: R' Mendel Mittelman (of Williamsburg).
- Hotzaah and Hachnasah: R' Chaim Pekete (of Williamsburg).
- Kohen: R' Avrohom Simcha HaKohen Friedman.
- Levi: R' Chaim HaLevi Heller (of Williamsburg).
- Shlishi: R' Mordechai Landau.
- Hagbah: the Rebbe shlit"a.
- Gelilah: R' Dovid Shimon Frumowitz.

At Seudah Shlishis the Rebbe honored people with the zemiros. Odeh: R' Noach Gefen. Shir HaMaalos: R' Moshe Goldstein.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Let them take for Me a terumah," and explained that through the mitzvah of tzedakah, the windows of heaven are opened, and one merits to hear the voice of Hashem and the revelation of the Divine countenance from Heaven, and all good blessings are bestowed.

Yedid Nefesh: R' Shalom Yitzchak Jacobowitz (of Williamsburg). Kel Mistater: HaGaon R' Ezra Moshe Chaira shlit"a, moreh tzedek in our Williamsburg kehilla. Shoshanas Yaakov: R' Nachman Dov Heller (of Williamsburg). The Rebbe blessed over the cup and recited the Sheva Brachos.

Maariv for Motzei Shabbos: R' Baruch Mordechai Markowitz. After Havdalah the congregation went over to wish a good week. They finished at around 8:40.

At around 10:30 the Rebbe went over to the new location of the 'Ezer' Health Center in the business center. The Rebbe entered the 'Ezer Pharmacy' and looked around the entire store, then went up to the health center and through all the departments, and heard a report from R' Yoel Mittelman, director, and R' Gedalya Segedin.
Afterward a lechayim gathering took place, and a nice conversation developed about the many activities for the benefit of the residents of the city and about future plans. The Rebbe drank lechayim and offered blessings to R' Yoel and to the entire administration.

From there the Rebbe went over to affix a mezuzah in the new Heritage Silver store in the 'Icon' business center. The Rebbe affixed a mezuzah and looked around the store, drank lechayim, a nice conversation developed, and the Rebbe warmly blessed the owner R' Avrohom Yoshe Glantz, R' Wolf Mendlowitz, and all the employees. They finished at around 11:20.

Friday, Parshas Terumah, 1 Adar, "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for a newborn son of R' Wolf Pollack, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
Afterwards the Rebbe went over to the home of HaRav R' Yoel Markovitch, where a bris took place for a newborn son of his son-in-law R' Yoel Yitzchak Schonbrun, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Heichal of Yeshiva Gedolah, Shiur Dalet. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- the bochur Yechezkel Dovid Berkowitz.
- the bochur Yoshe Dovid Rapaport.
- the bochur Shmuel Leib Fried.
- the bochur Pesach Chaim Kramer.

The Rebbe led Hallel, and during the Torah reading, he was called up for Hagbah.

After davening, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Heichal of the beis medrash.

Afterwards, the Rebbe set his holy table in honor of Rosh Chodesh together with the yeshiva students. The Rebbe washed for the seudah and tore the challah with his hands, as is customary on Erev Shabbos. They sang the Rosh Chodesh niggunim and niggunim of the month of Adar, and a general kvitel from the entire yeshiva was presented to the Rebbe shlit"a.
With Barchi Nafshi, the Rebbe honored HaRav Shlomo Hersh Kornbluh shlit"a, a rebbi in the yeshiva.

The Rebbe shlit"a delivered words of Torah, saying that Mordechai HaTzaddik was "doresh tov l'amo"; "tov" refers to shidduchim, as explained in the Gemara, "Lo tov heyos adam levado." He wished that there be an increase of simcha with many shidduchim in the yeshiva, and concluded with his holy blessing.
With Birkas Hamazon, the Rebbe honored HaGaon R' Yitzchak Yaakov Rosenfeld shlit"a, one of the roshei yeshiva. They concluded at around 1:20.

At around 3:30, the Rebbe went over to the home of the distinguished philanthropist R' Yechezkel Dovid Berkowitz, where a siyum on the writing of the letters of a Sefer Torah took place; the Sefer Torah was to be brought into the local beis medrash in the Ohel Basya area this Shabbos. They sang inspiring niggunim, the Rebbe wrote several letters, and honored HaRav R' Yechezkel Dovid and his family members with completing the final letters.
A pleasant conversation ensued, during which HaRav R' Yechezkel Dovid showed the Rebbe a handwritten manuscript of his ancestor, the holy Gaon, the Kedushas Yom Tov, and also gave the Rebbe shlit"a the sefer Kisvei Yoel, all the Torah teachings handwritten by the holy hand of the Rebbe, the Divrei Yoel zy"a, which he published in honor of the bar mitzvah celebration of his son, the bochur Shimon. Afterwards his son, the bochur Shimon, recited several chiddushim from his bar mitzvah pshetl.
The Rebbe drank a lechayim and gave blessings to HaRav R' Yechezkel Dovid, to his father HaRav R' Avrohom Yaakov, to his father-in-law HaRav R' Moshe Yosef Mittelman, and to the entire family. He then went to Hagbah with the Sefer Torah and danced with the open Sefer Torah for an extended time. The bar mitzvah boy, the bochur Shimon, was honored with Gelilah, and his father HaRav R' Avrohom Yaakov was honored with putting on the Kesser Torah. Afterwards the Rebbe stood up and danced with the Sefer Torah, and then honored HaRav R' Yechezkel Dovid and his family members to dance with the Sefer Torah. They concluded at around 4:00.

Thursday, Parshas Terumah, 29 Shevat, yahrzeit of Maran HaGaon HaKadosh, the Kedushas Yom Tov zy"a — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Heichal of Yeshiva Ketana, Kedushas Yom Tov branch, under the direction of HaRav HaGaon R' Shmuel Meir Levy shlit"a. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- The bochur Elazar Gandel.
- The bochur Avrohom Yoel Schwartz.

The Rebbe lit 5 candles and went to the amud, and during the Torah reading he had hagbah.

After davening, a lechayim gathering was held in the Heichal of the beis medrash. Several nigunim were sung, the Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the rebbeim and talmidim of the yeshiva well, and delivered divrei Torah on the verse "And they shall make Me a Sanctuary, and I will dwell among them," explaining that the fire and enthusiasm that tzaddikim put into a mitzvah has an influence on later generations. He continued on the greatness of the baal hahilula zy"a, whose influence is still felt to this day, and concluded with abundant blessings.

During the morning hours, the Rebbe paid a shiva call to the Indig family, who were sitting shiva for their mother a"h, widow of HaRav HaChasid R' Naftali Indig a"h.

Around 4:45 the Rebbe went to the halls in his holy home on Ahel Court, where the Rebbe honored his pure tish on the occasion of the holy hilula together with the talmidim of Yeshiva Ketana, Darchei HaTorah branch of Monsey, under the direction of HaRav HaGaon R' Shaul Perlstein shlit"a.
The Rebbe washed for the seudah and they prolonged it with nigunim of inspiration. With "Michtam LeDovid," the Rebbe honored HaRav R' Shlomo Katina shlit"a, a rebbi in the yeshiva.
The Rebbe shlit"a delivered divrei Torah on the verse "This they shall give, everyone who passes among those counted," explaining that when a tzaddik brings about a salvation, it is not only for himself but also for later generations. He continued on the greatness of the baal hahilula zy"a, his spreading of Torah to his students, his yiras shamayim, his strength of leadership, and related several stories. He also spoke in praise of the yeshiva and concluded with abundant blessings.

The Rebbe bentched on a cup of wine. After bentching, the menahel shlit"a presented the Rebbe shlit"a with a kvitel of the bochurim who distinguished themselves with consecutive hours during the Yemei HaShovavim just past, and the Rebbe distributed to the bochurim the sefer HaChadash Barech Moshe on sugyos of the Shas. They finished around 6:00.
Afterward the Rebbe davened Mincha in the beis medrash in his holy home on Ahel Court. The Rebbe lit 5 candles and went to the amud.

In the evening the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim:
- HaRav HaChasid R' Aharon Yitzchak Dovid Landau – HaRav HaChasid R' Chaim Elazar Horowitz, in the Beis Rachel Paradise halls.
- HaRav HaChasid R' Zion Ovadia Masri (of Williamsburg) – HaRav HaChasid R' Avrohom Yitzchak Kaira, in the Ginas Klein halls.

After the chuppos the Rebbe went to the Filmer Gardens halls for a siyum haShas by the avreich R' Yaakov Wolf son of R' Yom Tov Berger, son-in-law of HaRav HaChasid R' Elimelech Deutsch. A pleasant conversation ensued; the Rebbe drank lechayim and bestowed of his holy blessing.

Entry times at the Rebbe's home were from 8:10 until 11:30 at night, in his holy home on Ahel Court.

During the entry times, HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Tzvi Hirsch Fish shlit"a, the Zidichov-Przemyśl Rebbe, visited the Rebbe to receive his holy blessing on the occasion of the marriage of his son, mazel tov, which will take place next week in KJ. A pleasant conversation developed about stories of tzaddikim and about his yeshiva in Monsey, and the Rebbe bestowed of his holy blessing on him and on his son the chassan, and accompanied him out to the street.
