Tuesday, Parshas Bamidbar — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for a newborn son of R' Dovid Wolf Eckstein, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Yeshiva Ketana Branch Shev Moshe, under the direction of HaRav R' Shlomo Zalman Yoshef shlit"a. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The bochur Yitzchak Yoshe Kornbli.
- The bochur Shlomo Yuda Friedman.

After davening, a bris took place for a newborn son of the director, HaRav R' Shlomo Zalman Yoshef shlit"a, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

Afterwards, a lechayim gathering took place in the heichal of the beis medrash. Several nigunim were sung, and the Rebbe drank lechayim and gave blessings to the baal simcha, the director shlit"a, and his family, to the bar mitzvah bochurim, and to all the rebbeim and talmidim of the yeshiva. He then delivered a dvar Torah and a preparatory talk for Yom Tov Shavuos.

In the afternoon, at around 7:00, the Rebbe went over to the home of the widow of HaRav R' Yoel Danziger a"h, where a ceremony of writing the letters took place for the Sefer Torah being written by the Danziger family in memory of their father a"h, which is to be brought today into the Beis Medrash HaGadol. The Rebbe wrote in the letters and warmly gave his holy blessing to the widow and the entire family.

Afterwards, the Rebbe traveled to Williamsburg for the weekly reception hours.
Upon arrival at around 8:15, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home on Hewes St. Afterwards, there were receptions in the holy chamber until 12:45 after midnight.

During the receptions, the administration of Hisachdus Avreichim, together with the administration of Toraschu Shaashuei, entered the Rebbe's chamber to invite the Rebbe shlit"a to the historic Siyum HaShas on 19 Sivan, Sunday, Parshas Shlach. They discussed how the last 12 years have passed since the founding of the group, and the joy that prevails among the members. The Rebbe expressed his great joy and said that more people should be seen joining the group. To this, HaRav R' Yitzchak Schwartz, patron of the group, said that he is prepared to sponsor again as many people as are ready to join the group and take the exams. The Rebbe extended his holy blessing to the entire administration, to increase Torah and glorify it, and privately to the patron, R' Yitzchak.

A ceremony of writing the letters also took place for the Sefer Torah being written by HaRav R' Avrohom Yuda Indig. The Rebbe wrote in the letters, drank lechayim, and extended his holy blessing to the entire family.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:00 and then continued receiving the public.

Monday, Parshas Bamidbar — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Divrei Yoel branch. During the Torah reading he received the third aliyah.

After davening, the Rebbe delivered the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 11, verse 8, and in connection with it spoke words of preparation for Yom Tov Shavuos, to prepare with Torah learning and uninterrupted hours of study.

At around 8:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home on Ohel Court.
Afterwards there were yechidus hours until 12:40 at night in his holy home.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim of the mechutanim.
- R' Yoel, son of R' Avrohom Yeshaya Weiss, and R' Yuda Friedman.
- Rabbi Hershel Kohn shlit"a and Rabbi Yitzchak Noach Perlmutter shlit"a (Montreal).

During the yechidus hours, the Rebbe received a visit from the Rachmistrivka Rebbe of Monsey shlit"a, who came with his entourage. A pleasant conversation ensued about stories of the Chernobyl dynasty. The Rachmistrivka Rebbe shlit"a conveyed greetings from our beis medrash on Gil Street in Monsey, which is located in his neighborhood. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and shared of his holy blessing.

Also entering the Rebbe's room were the leaders of our holy kehilla together with the organizers of the highly successful 'Satmark', who conveyed greetings from the business day. The Rebbe praised the good reports heard about the business day and the dignified, refined manner in which it was conducted, as well as the beauty of the members of the community who, although they run large businesses, do so with full chassidic dress and grace. He discussed how even the politicians marvel that one can be successful and become major businesspeople and wealthy individuals with our proper chinuch. The askanim discussed further plans to help the business owners of our holy kehilla, and the Rebbe shared of his holy blessing with the askanim.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:40.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Behar-Bechukosai – Blessing of the month of Sivan, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

On Friday night at around 8:50 the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and went to the amud for Mincha.
Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Aharon Yosef Friedman. They finished at around 10:20; an appeal for Hatzalas Chinuch in England was held. The congregation went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went into his private room.

At around 10:50 the Rebbe entered the holy table in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the third-year talmidim of all the branches of the yeshivos ketanos in Kiryas Joel, and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem with emotion and sweetness.
Eshes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, R' Yissachar Ber Teitelbaum, son of the Rebbe's son-in-law, HaGaon HaTzaddik, rav of the Beirach Moshe beis medrash shlit"a. Lifting of the cup: HaGaon Rabbi Baruch Shlomo Weinberger shlit"a, head administrator of Kiryas Joel.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored people with the zemiros. Kol Mekadesh: HaGaon Rabbi Wolf Landau shlit"a, administrator of the yeshiva ketana, Rav Tuv branch. Menucha V'Simcha: HaGaon Rabbi Yisroel Gepilhoiz shlit"a, rosh hakollel of Tiferes Halacha in Antwerp.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "And Hashem spoke to Moshe on Har Sinai" and explained in the manner of a derush the topic of "moda'a rabba la'oraisa."

For the stories and accounts this week, the Rebbe shlit"a told about the holy Baal Shem Tov zy"a, whose yahrzeit falls on the Yom Tov of Shavuos.

Kah Ribon Olam: HaGaon Rabbi Nachum Ladinsky shlit"a, rosh yeshiva of Or HaTorah in Lakewood. The new chasanim went over to take fruit. Az B'Yom HaShevi'i: the Rebbe's grandson, Rabbi Yoel Ashkenazi shlit"a, son of the Rebbe's son-in-law, HaGaon HaTzaddik, rav of the Avnei Tzedek beis medrash shlit"a. They finished at around 1:15.

On the holy Shabbos day

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:40. Berachos and Pesukei D'Zimra: R' Shalom Meir Eckstein. The Rebbe recited "V'chorus" verse by verse, and went to the amud for Shacharis.

After the Torah reading the Rebbe shlit"a blessed Rosh Chodesh with great emotion, and then went to the amud for Musaf on the occasion of the yahrzeit of his grandfather, the holy R' Aharon Teitelbaum zt"l, Av Beis Din of Volove, which falls on Erev Shabbos, the 3rd of Sivan. Opening of Ano'im Zemiros: R' Yisroel Elimelech Klein (of Williamsburg).

After davening, the brissin took place:
- For the newborn son of R' Kalman Eliezer Herskovits, where the Rebbe was sandek and mohel.
- For the newborn son of R' Yisroel Spitzer, where the Rebbe was sandek and mohel.
They finished at around 12:50.

In the afternoon at around 7:40 the Rebbe entered the main beis medrash for Pirkei Avos. The Rebbe stood on Perek 5, Mishnah 3, "With ten trials was Avrohom Avinu tested, and he withstood them all," and explained it in ten ways in the manner of derush, aggadah and mussar, and at the end delivered words of inspiration for the Yom Tov of Shavuos, that one should prepare through Torah study and through studying the holy sefer Or HaChaim on the portion of the giving of the Torah. He also spoke in praise of the "Keren Kiryas Joel" for expanding the borders of holiness in greater Kiryas Joel; the Rebbe thanked the askanim of the fund and asked all the members of the community to help raise the large sums it costs.
The Rebbe also spoke in praise of the Chavura Segulah, who deal with the offices in the town.

The Rebbe then urged that, as we have already seen, thank G-d, regarding the lighting in the apartments in Kiryas Joel, both in purchasing and in renting, on Yom Tov of Shavuos, when many guests come, one should also take everyone into consideration and rent out the apartments at normal prices; it is not right to raise prices and tear off a large sum of money for two or three days of Yom Tov. At around 8:40 the Rebbe concluded with his holy blessing, and the Rebbe went into his private room.

Seudas Shlishis

The Rebbe entered the beis medrash for Mincha and Shalosh Seudos at around 8:50.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "If you walk in My statutes" and explained that if one is not careful with guarding the eyes, there is no blessing in material matters, but with purity of thought there is blessing, wealth and everything good.

Yedid Nefesh: R' Yitzchak Markovits. Kel Mistater: R' Chaim Yaakov (of Williamsburg). The Rebbe recited the blessing over the cup.

For Maariv on Motzei Shabbos the Rebbe went to the amud on the occasion of this week's yahrzeit of his grandfather, the holy Volover Rav zt"l. After Havdalah the congregation went over to wish a good week. They finished at around 10:55.

At around 12:00 the Rebbe went over to the Beirach Moshe beis medrash for the affixing of the mezuzah on the newly built additional rooms of prayer, "Chadrei Yaakov Aryeh," the donation of R' Gedalia Segedin. The Rebbe affixed the mezuzah, and then a lechayim gathering was held in the new prayer rooms. The Rebbe heard a report from R' Gedalia about the expansion of the beis medrash and about the many Torah classes given in the beis medrash; several nigunim were sung, and the Rebbe's son-in-law, HaGaon HaTzaddik, rav of the beis medrash shlit"a, spoke.
The Rebbe drank a lechayim and offered blessings to his son-in-law, to the donor R' Gedalia, and to all the askanim and mispallelim of the beis medrash, and delivered words of holy Torah about the joy of expanding the borders of holiness in a beis medrash named after his father, the holy Rebbe zy"a, which is a mitzvah of kibbud av, and offered many blessings. They finished at around 12:30.
