Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Balak — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Friday night at around 9:05 the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Yaakov Yosef Filaf. Davening concluded at around 10:40. After davening, an appeal took place for the kollel 'Mivtzar HaLomdim' in Williamsburg. The congregation then went over to wish a gut Shabbos, and the Rebbe entered his private room.

At around 11:05 the Rebbe entered the holy tish in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the mesivta, and began Shalom Aleichem with feeling and sweetness.

Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the bochur Yissachar Ber (may he be well), son of the son-in-law of HaGaon Rabbi Rav of the beis medrash Beirach Moshe shlit"a. Lifting the cup: Rabbi Yosef Naftali Leifer shlit"a (Beit Shemesh).

For the zemiros the Rebbe honored, Kol Mekadesh: Rabbi Yosef Naftali Leifer shlit"a. Menucha V'Simcha: R' Lipa Friedman (Williamsburg).
The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Vayagar Moav me'od ki rav hu," and explained it in a drush manner on the topic of whether one says "bal yachel devaro" regarding a non-Jew.

Stories and accounts: This week the Rebbe related about his ancestor, the holy HaGaon Rabbi Moshe Dovid Ashkenazi zt"l of Tolcsva, whose yahrzeit falls on Monday, 18 Tammuz. Kah Ribon Olam: Rabbi Nachman Brach shlit"a (Beit Shemesh).

The new chasanim came over to take fruit, and the Shalom Zachor also took place at R' Yoel son of R' Moshe Weider. Az Bayom HaShevii: R' Mordechai Weider (Kiryas Tosh). The tish concluded at around 1:50.

On Shabbos Day

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:45.
Berachos: Rabbi Yoel son of R' Baruch Stein shlit"a (Williamsburg). Pesukei D'Zimra: R' Akiva Hirsch (Williamsburg).
The Rebbe then approached the amud for Shacharis.

- Removing and returning the Torah: R' Berel Polatsek.
- Pesukei Shema Yisroel: HaGaon R' Yosef Hersh Sofer shlit"a, moreh tzedek.
- Carrying the Sefer Torah to the bimah: Rabbi Yosef Hersh Miller shlit"a (Williamsburg).

For the zemiros at Shalosh Seudos the Rebbe honored, Odeh: R' Noach Gefen. Shir HaMaalos: R' Simcha Jozsef (London).
The Rebbe stood on the verse "Ki meirosh tzurim er'enu umigva'os ashurenu" and explained that teshuva is effective only for Klal Yisroel, since we descend from Yaakov Avinu, who embodied the trait of truth, unlike the nations of the world, who cling to the trait of falsehood, and for whom teshuva is of no use, since a liar cannot be in the presence of Hashem. This was the cause of the destruction of the Beis HaMikdash: because Klal Yisroel were not careful with the trait of truth, Hashem did not accept their teshuva for the sins of the three cardinal sins.
The Rebbe continued with words of mussar, saying that as we now enter the days of Bein HaMetzarim, we must be sure to strengthen ourselves to cling only to the trait of truth and distance ourselves from the trait of falsehood, and in that merit we will be worthy that "these days will be transformed to joy and gladness" with the coming of the true Redeemer, speedily in our days.

Yedid Nefesh: R' Shlomo Moshe Klagsbrun. Kel Mistater: R' Mendel Eckstein. The Rebbe made the bracha over the cup. Lifting the cup: HaGaon Rav of Beis Baruch beis medrash shlit"a.
Afterwards the Rebbe recited Sheva Berachos.
For Maariv the Rebbe approached the amud in honor of the yahrzeit of the Rebbe's mother, the Rebbetzin, the righteous a"h, which falls next Shabbos Kodesh, 23 Tammuz.

After Havdalah the congregation went over to wish a gutte voch, and the Rebbe was accompanied out with song and music in honor of his departure today, Sunday, to the kever in Bethlehem, New Hampshire.
The davening concluded at around 11:30.

After Havdalah the Rebbe comforted the family of R' Aharon Dovid son of R' Yisroel Rubinstein a"h.

In his holy home entered the leadership of the Zera Kodesh neighborhood together with HaGaon R' Yoel Oppenheim shlit"a, dayan of the beis medrash of our holy kehilla, and members of the committee for expanding the city's borders, where they discussed and reviewed the plans to build onto and enlarge the current beis medrash in the neighborhood. The Rebbe inquired about all the details and bestowed of his holy blessing.

At around 1:15 the Rebbe went to affix a mezuzah at the new beis medrash 'Divrei Simcha Cieszanów,' headed by HaGaon Rabbi Shlomo Rubin shlit"a.
The Rebbe affixed a mezuzah on the door of the beis medrash and looked around the beis medrash, after which a lechayim gathering took place in the heichal of the beis medrash.
HaGaon the Rav of the beis medrash shlit"a spoke, and recalled when he moved to Kiryas Joel 28 years ago, how the Rebbe's uncle, may he be well, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, stood at his side and helped him so faithfully, and this continues to this very day. The Rebbe drank lechayim and warmly wished HaGaon the Rav of the beis medrash shlit"a and all the mispallelim of the beis medrash well. The Rebbe then delivered a holy blessing and highlighted the beauty of this beis medrash with its many mispallelim and learners, and warmly wished the Rav shlit"a that he continue to inspire the hearts of Yisroel until the coming of the Redeemer. It concluded at around 1:30.

Thursday, Parshas Balak — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before davening, a bris for a newborn son took place for R' Yoel the son of R' Shimon Herskovits, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, the Birach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- The bochur Yoel Weissman.
- The bochur Nosson Yoel Schwartz.
- The bochur Naftali Hirtzka Friedman, son of R' Shimon.
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for Hagbah.

After davening, the Rebbe recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 26, verse 12. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the morning hours, the children of Talmud Torah Beis Avrohom of Lakewood entered for a visit to his holy home. The Rebbe listened to their learning, and the children then went over to receive the Rebbe's blessing.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppahs of the mechutanim:
- HaRav HaChassid R' Aharon Schwartz and HaRav HaChassid R' Yoel Kaufman, in the Kinor David halls.
- HaRav HaChassid R' Meshulam Shimon Friedman and HaRav HaChassid R' Lipa Rosenfeld, in the Beis Rachel Paradise halls.
- HaRav HaChassid R' Avrohom Yaakov Minkoff and HaRav HaChassid R' Yitzchak Leib Weiss, in the Ginas Klein halls.

The times for entry to the Rebbe were from 7:50 until 1:00 at night, in his holy home at the Ohel. The Rebbe davened Mincha around 9:15 and Maariv around 12:55 in his holy home.

Friday, Erev Shabbos Parshas Balak

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Talmud Torah 'Binyan Klein' together with the students of grades 6, 7 and 8, the branch of HaRav R' Shlomo Noach Heilbrun shlit"a.

Upon arrival, the Rebbe first entered the beis medrash hall and looked in on the learning.
Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Shmuel Ezer Weiss.

After davening, a lechayim gathering was held in the beis medrash hall, where several songs and rhymes were sung in honor of the occasion. The Rebbe drank l'chaim and wished the bar mitzvah bochur and all the rebbeim and children well. The Rebbe then delivered words of Torah, emphasizing the importance of the young years, in which one must learn to study Gemara with Rashi and to daven with kavana. The Rebbe concluded with his holy blessing.

After Shacharis, the Rebbe went over to the main beis medrash, where a bris for a newborn son took place for R' Yechezkel Shraga Hirsch, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel. After the bris, a lechayim gathering was held in the beis medrash hall.

Tuesday, Parshas Balak — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before davening, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Shmuel Meir Deutsch, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Beis Medrash Imrei Noam on Zhitkov Street in the Divrei Yoel neighborhood, together with Yeshiva Gedolah, the Esek HaTorah branch – Monsey, under the leadership of HaRav R' Yisroel Mordechai Seidenfeld shlit"a.
Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Yitzchak Yoel Weiser. After davening, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in the hall of the beis medrash.

In the morning hours the Rebbe went on his weekly visit to the mehudar slaughterhouse. Afterwards an assembly took place in the beis medrash of the slaughterhouse for the shochtim, bodkim and those engaged in the holy work, where the Rebbe spoke words of chizuk and guidance. He began with words of praise for the slaughterhouse, which opened with the goal of being able to provide kosher meat of the highest standard for Jews who are meticulous about kashrus everywhere, and, thank Hashem, it has succeeded and has continued for close to 25 years, all of them for the good, providing meat with all the chumros and hiddurim, much of which, baruch Hashem, over the years has become a standard in other places of shechita as well. The Rebbe highlighted the privilege that the shochtim and bodkim have in providing this, and the great responsibility that each shochet and bodek must have in all areas of life, to be careful even regarding chumros in their daily lives. The Rebbe noted the continued growth of the slaughterhouse, and how it has expanded greatly in recent years to an extent that was never believed possible. Therefore the Rebbe decided to appoint the "Rabbonim of the Va'ad HaKashrus of Kiryas Joel" to assist at his holy right hand, in addition to the earlier ones, to help maintain the kashrus standard with even greater vigor and strength. The Rebbe also extended his holy blessing that kashrus among Jewish children may continue to be increased, and a personal blessing to the shochtim and bodkim and to the administration of the slaughterhouse.

Afterwards the Rebbe went over to the home of the mishab"k R' Yehoshua Mendlowitz, for a refuah sheleimah, where a Sheva Brachos was held in honor of the marriage of his grandson, mazel tov. The chassan is the son of his son HaGaon R' Yaakov Elazar z"l, rav of Beis Medrash Halacha Berurah.
A pleasant conversation ensued, and the Rebbe made a lechayim and warmly wished the chassan, the mechutanim, and especially the grandfather R' Yehoshua, for a complete refuah sheleimah.

In the afternoon the Rebbe went up to Yeshiva Branch Vayoel Moshe, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa in his private room.

At 7:15 the Rebbe shlit"a drove into Williamsburg for the weekly reception hours. Around 8:45 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home on Hewes St. Afterwards there was reception until 12:45 after midnight in his holy home.

The Rebbe davened Maariv around 11:00, and after Maariv continued to receive the public.

Wednesday, Parshas Balak

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, Branch Vayoel Moshe. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- The bochur Yeshaya Yuda Berkowitz.
- The bochur Yechezkel Yuda Glick.

After davening the Rebbe recited his daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 26, verse 12. Then a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the afternoon the Rebbe went up to the Yeshivos, Branch Divrei Yoel, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa in his private room.

In the evening the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim R' Asher Yitzchak Weider and R' Yoel Chaim Moshe Miller in the halls of Kinor David.
And at the chuppah of the mechutanim R' Aharon Zev Glauber and R' Yoel Yom Tov Jozsef in the halls of Beis Rochel Paradise.
And at the chuppah of the mechutanim R' Avrohom Yaakov Stern and R' Yoel Bar"ah Gantz in the halls of Ginas Klein.

Reception was from 8:20 until 1:45 after midnight in his holy home on Ohel Ct.

Around 9:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

After Mincha the Rebbe entered the hall in his holy home, where many bochurim from all the branches of the yeshivos ketanos of Kiryas Joel were present, who had raised over a thousand dollars and more in the 'Pekudas HaKodesh' campaign during the past bein hazmanim for the benefit of our holy mosdos.

The Rebbe heard a report from the administration of the mosdos, conveyed a holy blessing, and distributed to the gabbaim a set of the chiddushei Torah of Maharyit"v – Mesibos, and to all the bochurim a gift of the sefer Lev Aharon – Sugyos.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim for the mechutanim R' Chaim Kornbluh and HaGaon R' Asher Chaim Weiser shlit"a, moreh tzedek in our holy kehilla in Boro Park,
and for the mechutanim R' Binyomin Cohen and R' Yaakov Chaim Pollak,
in the tenaim hall in his holy home.

The Rebbe davened Maariv around 12:50, and after Maariv continued to receive the public.

After Maariv, HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Tuvia Stern shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Meron, came for a visit.
A pleasant conversation developed about various improvements being made to increase the sanctity of the place at the holy site of Meron. The Rebbe also spoke with great longing about the great Shabbos in Meron, Shabbos Parshas Pekudei 5776, and with great yearning for the upcoming great Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Toldos, of the Baal Shem Tov, which the Rebbe shlit"a will spend at the holy site in Meron, near the marked grave of the Tanna Elokai Rashbi.
The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and extended his holy blessing that he may continue and stand guard to protect the sanctity of the place.

Monday, Parshas Balak — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before davening, a bris of a newborn son took place for R' Yosef Mendel Kohn, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Yeshiva Gedolah Branch Divrei Yoel. During the Torah reading, the Rebbe was called up as the third aliyah (Shlishi).

After davening, the Rebbe delivered the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 26, verse 12, where the Rebbe spoke about the intensified decrees of the draft in Eretz Yisroel, and greatly strengthened our brethren, the inhabitants of Eretz Yisroel, to stand like a fortified wall and to get through the bitter decree with the help of Heaven, just as we have come through all the difficult decrees throughout the long exile. Afterwards, a lechayim took place in the Rebbe's private room in honor of the siyum on Shas by the bochur Elkim Yuda, son of R' Eliezer Berman Herskovits, one of the outstanding talmidim of the yeshiva.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe went up to the Yeshiva Branch Birkas Moshe, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa in his private room.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim R' Mordechai Yaakov Felberbaum and R' Yitzchak Lipa Gutman in the halls of Kinor David.
And at the chuppah of the mechutanim R' Yoel Berish Greenfeld and R' Lipa Sandel in the halls of Beis Rachel Paradise.
And at the chuppah of the mechutanim Rabbi Chaim Eliezer Davidovitch shlit"a and R' Chaim Shlomo Ackerman in the halls of Ginas Klein.

Between the chuppos, at around 8:10, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home at Ohel Court.

Yechidus hours ran from 8:40 until 12:50 at night in his holy home at Ohel Court.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim for the mechutanim Rabbi Itamar Tuvia Wieder shlit"a and HaGaon R' Yoel Gutman shlit"a, a moreh tzedek of Kiryas Joel.
And for the mechutanim R' Daniel Yonason Aghami and R' Yoel Masri, in the tenaim halls in his holy home.

During the yechidus hours, a document-signing ceremony took place in the Rebbe's private room, where HaGaon R' Yoel Farkash shlit"a, rav of the beis medrash Avodas Aharon in the Jefferson neighborhood of expanded Kiryas Joel, donated a plot of land to enable the building of a mikvah tahara for our holy kehilla in the Jefferson neighborhood. A pleasant conversation developed about the neighborhood and the importance of increasing taharah among Klal Yisroel. The Rebbe signed the documents together with the donor, HaGaon R' Yoel shlit"a, and warmly wished his holy blessing to the donor and to the residents of the neighborhood.

Also entering the private room was the Bonei Olam administration, headed by director Rabbi Shlomo Buchner shlit"a, to receive his holy blessing in honor of the upcoming annual campaign for Bonei Olam in Kiryas Joel. The Rebbe inquired and reviewed the details of the organization, and warmly wished his holy blessing to the askanim and especially to the director, R' Shlomo.

Also, a meeting took place in the private room together with the Gaon HaGadol, the av beis din of Kiryas Joel shlit"a, and with the participation of Rabbi Yerucham Silver of Agudath Israel of America, R' Menachem Horowitz and R' Berish Fried of the 'Chaim Aruchim' organization, which helps patients whom the doctors have already given up on, may Hashem protect us, askanim of Kiryas Joel Hatzalah, and askanim of several other refuah organizations, together with several doctors and chaplains from hospitals, among them Memorial, Cornell, Columbia ICU, and others, where they discussed pressing matters regarding the bitter situation in the hospitals, among them the new assisted-suicide law in New York, which would allow doctors to give poison to patients who wish to end their lives, Heaven forbid. The askanim and doctors discussed the current situation in the hospitals, the severe neglect and other mistreatment there, and the pressure placed on patients to stop fighting for their lives, Heaven forbid, and how such a law could, Heaven forbid, make things worse. They consulted about what can be done to stop it, through intervention with elected officials and the governor. The Rebbe strengthened the askanim to continue with their holy work and bestowed from his holy blessing.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:50.

Sunday, Parshas Balak, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before davening, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Yaakov Yochanan Brown, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, Kedushas Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- the bochur Yoel Perlman.
- the bochur Kalman Eliezer Sapdi.
- the bochur Yoel, son of R' Yaakov Chaim Moskowitz.
- the bochur Yoel, son of R' Moshe Weiss.
- the bochur Dovid Leib Glick.

After davening, the Rebbe recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 26, verse 12. Afterward, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

After Shacharis, the Rebbe went over to the beis medrash of Binyan Ariel Amsterdam, where a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Meir Alexander Kleinman, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.
After the bris, the Rebbe drank a lechayim and extended blessings to the baal bris and his family.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe went up to the yeshiva, Kedushas Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa in his private room.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim HaRav R' Shmuel Landau and HaRav R' Feivel Sofer in the halls of Kinor Dovid.
And at the chuppah of the mechutanim HaRav R' Eliyahu Kraus and HaRav R' Moshe Shmuel Samet in the halls of Beis Rachel Paradise.

Before candle-lighting, the Rebbe put on the shtreimel for the chasanim:

Stories and accounts: This week the Rebbe related the bitter history of the sixth of Chukas and spoke at length about that period, and then continued with stories of the holy Ohr HaChaim HaKadosh zy"a, whose yahrzeit falls this coming Friday, 15 Tammuz.

On Shabbos Day

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:40.
Brachos: R' Moshe Falkowitz. Pesukei D'Zimra: R' Shmuel Landau.
The Rebbe recited "Vechoros" verse by verse, and then approached the amud for Shacharis.

- Removing and returning the Sefer Torah: R' Mendel Ber Weider.
- Verses of Shema Yisroel: R' Yoshe Glick (Monsey).
- Carrying the Sefer Torah to the bimah: R' Yoshe Pinchas Weiss.

During the zemiros at Shalosh Seudos the Rebbe honored, Odeh: R' Noach Gefen. Shir HaMaalos: R' Yaakov Yoshe Friedman.
The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "Al kein yei'amer b'sefer milchamos Hashem" and explained that every Jew needs both the middah of humility and the middah of holy pride, and one must know when to use which middah.
The counsel for how to be wise and knowledgeable is through going to the mikvah, which brings da'as, and then one can use each middah as it should be. He continued to urge going to the mikvah every day, as the holy Baal Shem Tov and the holy Rebbe R' Elimelech zy"a instituted, and especially one who teaches Torah to students; the holy Maor VaShemesh zy"a says that one must go to the mikvah every day in order to be a teacher of Torah in purity.

The Rebbe recited Birkas Hamazon over a cup.
Raising the cup: the chasan Moshe, son of Yoel Mermelstein.
Afterwards the Rebbe recited the Sheva Brachos.
Maariv on Motzei Shabbos: R' Avrohom Hersh Klein.
After Havdalah the tzibur went over to wish a gutte voch.
Afterwards the Rebbe recited Kiddush Levana in front of the Beis Medrash HaGadol, and wished the entire tzibur "a gutte voch and a gutten chodesh."
It ended at around 11:25.

After Havdalah, the Komarno Rebbe of Boro Park shlit"a came for a visit to the Rebbe's home,
a pleasant conversation ensued, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon him.

At around 12:25 the Rebbe arrived at the mezuzah-affixing ceremony for the newly built wing of Beis Medrash Beis Chaim Yaakov of our kehilla, located in the "Icon" business center,
the Rebbe affixed a mezuzah on the entrance of the beis medrash and then looked around the entire beis medrash, and heard a report from the beis medrash administration regarding the plans to build a mikvah in the beis medrash,
afterwards a lechayim gathering took place in the hall of the beis medrash,
several nigunim were sung and the Rebbe's brother-in-law, HaGaon HaTzaddik, rav of the beis medrash shlit"a, spoke.
The Rebbe drank lechayim and warmly wished the Rebbe's brother-in-law, HaGaon HaTzaddik, rav of the beis medrash shlit"a, the benefactor of the beis medrash, the esteemed philanthropist R' Akiva Tzvi Klein, and the entire tzibur,
afterwards the Rebbe delivered divrei Torah and emphasized the importance of going to the mikvah on Shabbos morning, and the benefit of building a temporary mikvah until the central magnificent beis medrash and mikvah for the neighborhood are completed, adding that one cannot say Nishmas without first going to the mikvah, and then spoke at length in praise of the esteemed benefactor, Rabbi Akiva Hersh Klein, and concluded with his holy blessing,
it ended at around 12:50.

Afterwards, at the Rebbe's home, the writing of letters in a Sefer Torah took place, which is being written by R' Mendel Ber Weider and will be brought in tomorrow, Sunday, to the Catskills.
The Rebbe wrote several letters and bestowed his holy blessing upon R' Mendel Ber, his father R' Avrohom, and the entire family.

Thursday, Parshas Chukas, "B'tzeil HaKodesh" with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before davening, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Fishel Sofer, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
And a bris for the newborn son of R' Yosef Eliyahu Bikel, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Beis Medrash Rav Tov in the Eitz Chaim neighborhood, on the occasion of the simcha of the bris milah of his grandson, the newborn son of HaGaon R' Chaim Hersh Ashkenazi shlit"a, the rav of the beis medrash.
Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Shalom Zusha Kessler.
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for Hagbah.

After davening, the simcha of the bris milah took place in the main hall of the beis medrash.
- The mohel was the father of the baby shlit"a.
- The Rebbe shlit"a was honored with sandekaus.
- Standing sandek: the Rebbe's mechutan, HaGaon HaTzaddik, the rav of Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a.
- Blessings and naming: HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din of Boro Park shlit"a.
The baby was named in Yisroel: "Yekusiel Yehuda," after the Baal Yitav Lev zy"a.
After the bris, the entire congregation came over to wish the Rebbe shlit"a and the distinguished grandfathers "Mazel tov," and a lechayim gathering took place together with the bar mitzvah bochur in his private room.

After a short while, the Rebbe went up to the top floor of the building to the Yeshiva Ketana, Zera Kodesh branch, under the direction of R' Yoel Asher Weider shlit"a, where the seudas bris took place. At the seudah, the baal simcha, the father of the baby, HaGaon R' Chaim Hersh shlit"a, spoke, as did the grandfathers, HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din of Boro Park shlit"a, and the Rebbe's mechutan, HaGaon HaTzaddik, the rav of Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a.
For Yom Libeshah, the Rebbe honored his grandson Rabbi Meshulam Zusha Rosenbaum shlit"a, the son-in-law of the Rebbe's mechutan, HaGaon HaTzaddik, the rav of Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a. Afterwards the Rebbe delivered holy words on the subject of bris milah and spoke words of guidance to the talmidim of the yeshiva, and warmly wished the baal simcha shlit"a, the distinguished grandfathers, and the rebbeim and talmidim of the yeshiva.
At the end, the Rebbe spoke about the expansion of the boundaries of holiness in Kiryas Joel and in Kiryas Joel HaMurchevres, and said that apartments are being built here nearby, more Jewish apartments, more apartments where people will serve Hashem and do the will of the Creator. The Rebbe named the Carlsburg street, where the beis medrash and the yeshiva are located together with the neighboring apartment projects, in the name of his grandfather, the Holy Gaon zy"a, with the name "Shechunas Eitz Chaim."
Likewise, there is a new neighborhood being built by R' Yozefa Landau, located on Route 208 right at the border of the city of Kiryas Joel ("whatever is attached to the pure is pure"), and the Rebbe named it "Shechunas Or HaChaim," after the holy Or HaChaim zy"a, whose yahrzeit falls next week on 15 Tammuz. The Rebbe concluded with his holy blessings that the city of Kiryas Joel may continue to grow in quantity and quality, which the Rebbe, its founder, already sanctified and purified until the coming of the Redeemer.
For Birkas HaMazon, the Rebbe honored R' Yoel Asher Weider shlit"a, and with the Harachaman's, the rebbeim of the yeshiva and the family members. They concluded at around 1:45.
Afterwards the Rebbe went over to the home of his grandson HaGaon R' Chaim Hersh shlit"a, where the Rebbe wished the mother mazel tov, as is customary.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim R' Yoel Meremelstein and R' Yoel Gandel in the Kinor Dovid halls.
And at the chuppah of the mechutanim R' Bentzion Mezei and R' Pinchas Shlomo Perlmutter in the Gina Klein halls.

Between the chuppahs, the Rebbe went over to the home of R' Bentzion Klein, where a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Yoel Yaakov Kahn, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
After the bris, the Rebbe drank a lechayim and wished mazel tov to the baal bris and his family.

Entry hours (zmanei kenisah) were from 8:15 until 2:00 at night at his holy residence on Ohel Court.

At around 9:00, the Rebbe davened Mincha at his holy residence.

During the entry hours, the Rebbe connected by phone with Rabbi Eliyahu Shlomo Kahn shlit"a, director of Bais Rachel Kiryas Joel, and Rabbi Meir Yosef Gross shlit"a, director of Camp Bais Rachel, where the Rebbe inquired how the first week in camp had gone, discussed various matters, and gave his holy blessing.

At around 10:45, the Rebbe read the tnaim of the mechutanim R' Fishel Rispler and R' Binyomin Aryeh Leibush Hirsch in the tnaim hall at his holy residence.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:45, and after Maariv continued receiving the public.

In the late night hours, HaGaon R' Hersh Leib Bernstein shlit"a, chairman of the Kiryas Joel Kashrus Committee, entered together with several members of the committee for a meeting, where they discussed several matters on the agenda regarding kashrus, about which the Rebbe gave them his holy instructions.

Likewise, the members of the committee for expanding the city's boundaries entered and discussed various matters on the agenda in the new neighborhoods in Kiryas Joel, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon them.
