Yidden do so many mitzvos! The holy Alshich says that it is true that many mitzvos are indeed done, but others come and, Heaven forbid, commit aveiros and destroy and break down the Beis Hamikdash. The Rebbe elaborated in words of mussar that each person must make a cheshbon hanefesh whether he is among the builders or, Heaven forbid, among the destroyers. "Any generation in which it is not rebuilt, it is as if it was destroyed in its days," since the Beis Hamikdash is indeed being built every day, but it is also being destroyed.
The Rebbe quoted from the holy Chasam Sofer zy"a, "When you merit, you count toward its building, and if you do not merit, you count toward its destruction." The Chasam Sofer used to calculate how many years it has been since the churban of the Beis Hamikdash. The Rebbe said that we now stand 1,957 years from the churban and still we have not been redeemed. It does not mean only that 1,957 years have passed since the churban; rather, it means that there have been 1,957 churbanos, Heaven forbid, since it is destroyed anew each year. For this we mourn. The Rebbe concluded and wished that the fifth day (Thursday) be transformed for us into joy and gladness with the coming of the righteous Redeemer, speedily in our days.

Report
Around midday, Monday, Parshas Va'eschanan ("U'tzedakah Tihiyeh Lanu"), 10 Menachem Av 5785

"I will yet build you, and you shall be built, O Maiden of Israel"
(Yirmiyahu 31:3)

New Building for Satmar Beis Rochel of Williamsburg, may it be guarded
The "Mayer Zelig Ripler Building"
The third building in the chain of the magnificent "Ripler Buildings."
*
The site of the new building is located in the heart of New Williamsburg, on the corner of Sanford Street and Park Avenue. It will be built as a continuation of the two existing "Ripler Buildings," where thousands of Beis Rochel students are educated with pride and honor.
The distinguished Ripler family, may they live long, has generously donated to build a brand new "Beis Rochel Building." The work began with pouring the foundation, and so on up through all 6 floors, from foundation to finishing touches, complete in its splendor.
The site of the new building is gigantic! It occupies an area of 10,000 square feet, on which a mighty fortress for the chinuch of girls will be built, with a fresh 60,000 square feet for the use of girls' chinuch.
The first phase of the building includes the first 2 floors, where a huge "auditorium," a "lunch room," and classrooms will be set up. Once the site is rezoned, the remaining 4 floors will be built above, with dozens of classrooms, up to a large "playground" on the roof, for the use of the Beis Rochel students for many long years, b'ezras Hashem.

Eventually, b'ezras Hashem, a new "wedding hall" will be set up in the building for the use of the public, along the lines of the adjacent magnificent "Ginas Esther" hall, which the public is eagerly awaiting.

Construction has begun! The work has actually started already! And the plans are fully ready to erect, b'ezras Hashem, a majestic building to serve as a base for the chinuch of girls for many long days.
