Monday, Parshas Re'eh — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning the Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Yeshiva Gedolah, Divrei Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- the bochur Eli Goldberger.
- the bochur Yisroel Yuda Gutman.
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for Hagbah.

After davening, the Rebbe learned the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 27, verse 3. Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the morning hours, a signing of documents took place in the Rebbe's holy home, where R' Moshe Shmuel Frankel pledged a large sum to rebuild the mikvah in Beis Medrash Beis Mordechai of our holy kehilla. The members of the building fund committee of the beis medrash presented a report on the project to magnificently rebuild the mikvah along with other parts of the beis medrash. A pleasant conversation ensued about the many donations of the esteemed donor to the beis medrash and to our holy mosdos. The Rebbe signed the documents together with the donor, and extended his holy blessing to the donor, to HaGaon Rabbi Shalom Moshe Lipschitz shlit"a, the Dayan and Moreh Hora'ah of the beis medrash, and to the members of the beis medrash's administration.

At about 8:10, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home, in the Ohel Kodesh.
Afterwards, yechidus continued in his holy home until 12:50 at night.

During yechidus, HaGaon Rabbi Yitzchak Elazar Moskowitz shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Shatz Monsey and president of Mosad Noam Elimelech in Bnei Brak, came for a visit. A pleasant conversation took place about the chinuch mosdos in Eretz Yisroel, and especially about Talmud Torah Noam Elimelech in Bnei Brak, which the Rabbi shlit"a carries on his shoulders, and the Rebbe extended his holy blessing.

The talmidim of Machane Ohr Shraga of Lakewood also entered the Rebbe's private room (kodesh penimah). The Rebbe questioned them about their studies, and the bochurim went over to receive the holy blessing.

R' Shmuel Aharon Troiba shlit"a, one of the heads of the Vaad Mishmeres HaSTa"M in Boro Park, also entered the private room together with members of the STa"M committee under the auspices of the Beis Horaah of our holy kehilla. A pleasant conversation took place about matters of sofrus, particularly about the recent scandal of printed mezuzos. Various approaches were discussed to improve the problems with the mezuzos from Eretz Yisroel and the corrections that have already been made regarding this, and the Rebbe extended his holy blessing.

At about 10:45, the Rebbe shlit"a went down to the tenaim hall in his holy home, where the Rebbe read the tenaim of the mechutanim R' Yechezkel Shraga Glantz and R' Lipa Schonbrun.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at about 12:50.

Sunday, Parshas Re'eh, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning before davening, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Zalman Leib Freund, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Yeshiva Gedolah, Kedushas Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- The bochur Avrohom Nosson Nete Sofer.
- The bochur Elyakim Getzel Pesach Landinsky.
- The bochur Dovid Leibush Jakobovits.

After davening, the Rebbe recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 27, verse 1. Afterward, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

In the afternoon hours, the Rebbe's grandson HaGaon Rabbi Yoel HaKohen Glantz shlit"a, son-in-law of the Gaon Av Beis Din of Vamsb"g shlit"a, entered the Rebbe's room to receive his blessing in honor of his upcoming trip (especially for Kohanim) to the holy sites in Europe, ahead of the wedding of his daughter, l'mazel tov. The Rebbe asked about the details of the trip arranged for Kohanim, gave his guidance on various details, and bid him a warm farewell with his blessing.

At around 7:15 the Rebbe went over to the Beis Medrash HaGadol for the simcha of the hachnasas sefer Torah donated by R' Eliezer Dovid Epstein. The Rebbe took the sefer Torah and danced with it for an extended time. After the dancing, the Rebbe recited "L'Dovid Mizmor" as customary, and then wished the donor well with his blessing.

From there, the Rebbe went over to the Beis Medrash Ohel Feiga for the simcha of the hachnasas sefer Torah donated by R' Nachman Fish.
The Rebbe took the sefer Torah and danced with it for an extended time. The Rebbe then honored the Gaon, the rav of the beis medrash shlit"a, to dance with the sefer Torah, and afterward HaGaon Rabbi Shmuel Binyamin Kraus shlit"a, nasi of Yeshiva Toras Chaim London. After the dancing, the Rebbe recited "L'Dovid Mizmor" as customary, and then wished the donor well with his blessing.

At around 8:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his home, on the Ohel Kodesh.
Afterward, reception hours were held in his home until 1:40 at night.

During the reception hours, HaGaon Rabbi Gavriel Neufeld shlit"a, a moreh tzedek in the Edah HaChareidis and one of the heads of the kashrus committee of the Edah HaChareidis, entered the Rebbe's room. A pleasant conversation took place about the full stringencies of the Kiryas Joel slaughterhouse and the differences between here and Eretz Yisroel in matters of shechita. He gave the Rebbe his sefer Responsa Marbeh Chaim, and the Rebbe wished him well with his blessing.

Also entering the Rebbe's room was the administration of the holy institution Rav Tov, to invite the Rebbe to the annual event taking place this Thursday in the home of R' Avrohom Wieder, where they discussed the institution's latest activities on behalf of our Jewish brethren in Ukraine, and the Rebbe wished them well with his blessing.

Also entering the Rebbe's room was the administration of the "Avoseinu" project to save cemeteries in Europe, where they presented a report of their many beneficial activities and asked for the Rebbe's guidance on various matters, and the Rebbe wished them well with his blessing.

At around 10:45 the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a went down to the tenaim hall in his home, where the Rebbe read the tenaim of the mechutanim:
- R' Yosef Felberbaum and R' Meir Shaul Yechezkel Hecht.
- R' Elazar, son of HaGaon R' Mordechai Betzalel Klein shlit"a, and R' Yehoshua Yehuda Friedman shlit"a (Vamsb"g).

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:50, and after Maariv continued to receive the public.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Eikev — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Friday night at around 8:35 the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Yoshe Yuda Friedman shlit"a (of the Williamsburg kehilla). After davening, an appeal took place for the holy mosad Keren Hatzalah. Davening concluded at around 10:05. The tzibbur went over to wish a good Shabbos, and the Rebbe went into his private room.

At around 10:40 the Rebbe entered the pure tish in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidei hamesivta, and began Shalom Aleichem with feeling and sweetness. Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the bochur Yissachar Ber Teitelbaum ni"v, son of the Rebbe's son-in-law (chasan), HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of the beis medrash Beirach Moshe, shlit"a. Hagbahas HaKos: HaGaon R' Yosef Dovid Kvoan shlit"a (Rav of the community in Argentina).

The Rebbe honored the following with the zemiros:
- Kol Mekadesh: the Rebbe honored HaGaon R' Yosef Dovid Kvoan shlit"a.
- Menucha V'Simcha: Rabbi Alexander Asher Abad shlit"a (Boro Park).

The Rebbe shlit"a said a Torah thought on the haftara "Habitu El Avraham Avichem" and explained it in the manner of a derush on the sugya of "nir'eh v'nidcheh".

- Kah Echsof: R' Akiva Hirsch (of the Williamsburg kehilla).
- Birkas Hamazon: the Rebbe's son-in-law, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of the beis medrash Beirach Moshe, shlit"a.

Stories and anecdotes: this week the Rebbe shlit"a related stories about the holy Rebbe, the Divrei Yoel zy"a, whose yahrzeit falls this Wednesday, 26 Av.

- Kah Ribon Olam: R' Avrohom Neufeld (Boro Park).
The new chasanim went over to take fruit.
- Az B'Yom HaShevii: HaRav HaTzaddik Rabbi Aharon Kahn shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Toldos Aharon Monsey, son of the Toldos Aharon Rebbe shlit"a.
The tish concluded at around 1:30.

U'v'Yom HaShabbos Kodesh

On Shabbos morning the Rebbe entered the beis medrash at around 9:45. Brachos and Pesukei D'Zimra: R' Yekusiel Yisroel Fried.
For Shacharis the Rebbe approached the amud as usual.

- Hotzaah and Hachnasah: R' Shmuel Berger (of the Williamsburg kehilla).
- Pesukei Shema Yisroel: HaGaon R' Ezra Moshe Keirah shlit"a, a moreh tzedek in our holy kehilla in Williamsburg.
- Kohen: HaGaon R' Aharon Boruch Lebel shlit"a of Nassau.
- Levi: the chasan Meir Dov, son of Aharon Elazar Rubinfeld.
- Shlishi: the chasan Aharon, son of Rabbi Dovid Leib Kraus shlit"a.
- Revii: the chasan Moshe, son of Yekusiel Yisroel Fried.
- Chamishi: the chasan Mordechai, son of Shlomo Zalman Yitzchok Epstein.

After Shishi was called up, the Rebbe recited a "Mi Shebeirach" in honor of the birth of a daughter for:

Ra'avah D'Ra'avin

For Mincha and Shalosh Seudos the Rebbe entered at around 8:30. Mincha: R' Akiva Hirsch.

- Kohen: R' Mendel Friedman.
- Levi: R' Yuda Hersh Berger.

The Rebbe honored the following with the zemiros at Shalosh Seudos:
- Odeh: HaGaon R' Yisroel Shalom Taub shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Baltimore, Williamsburg.
- Shir HaMaalos: R' Moshe Goldstein.
In his Torah, the Rebbe discussed the haftara "Habitu El Avraham Avichem" and explained that when a Jew, chas v'shalom, commits a sin, the chitzonim seize his mitzvos and merits, but through the power of the mitzvah of Krias Shema one receives back the mitzvos from the chitzonim. The Rebbe strongly urged, saying that we are already past Tu B'Av and are preparing for the holy days, so we must be careful to read Krias Shema of Shacharis and Maariv properly, and in this merit we will emerge innocent in judgment.

The Rebbe recited Birkas Hamazon over the cup. Hagbahas HaKos: the chasan Aharon, son of Rabbi Dovid Leib Kraus shlit"a. Afterwards the Rebbe recited Sheva Brachos for several chasanim.

Before Maariv the Rebbe greeted HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Shmuel Binyomin Kraus shlit"a, nasi of Yeshivas Toras Chesed London, who is visiting Kiryas Joel these days. For Maariv the Rebbe approached the amud in honor of the yahrzeit of the holy Rebbe, the Divrei Yoel zy"a, which falls this Wednesday. After Havdalah the tzibbur went over to wish a good week. Davening concluded at around 10:55.

Motzei Shabbos

At around 12:30 the Rebbe went over to the home of R' Nachman Fish, where a kesivas ha'osios took place for the Sefer Torah that will be brought in tomorrow, Sunday, Parshas Re'eh, to the beis medrash Ohel Feiga.
The Rebbe wrote in several letters, and a lovely conversation developed about matters of STa"M. In this context the Rebbe showed a mezuzah that he received today from someone, which had hung on a Jew's door and was a completely empty piece of parchment!

Several niggunim were sung, and the Rebbe drank lechayim and wished R' Nachman and his family, the Rebbe's son-in-law, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of the beis medrash Ohel Feiga shlit"a, and the entire tzibbur, well. The Rebbe also presented a certificate to R' Nachman on behalf of the administration of beis medrash Ohel Feiga in hakaras hatov for his many donations and askanus on behalf of the beis medrash. A chalaka also took place there for his grandson, R' Shlomo Fish, the chasan of R' Meir Hirsch.
The Rebbe cut off several locks of hair, put on the kapel and tzitzis, and bestowed his holy blessing.
