Monday, Parshas Chayei Sarah 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, a bris took place in Mivtzar HaKollelim for the baby born to R' Yaakov Mordechai Eckstein, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, the Divrei Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur Avrohom Yaakov Mermelstein.

During the Torah reading, the Rebbe was called up as Shlishi. After davening, he delivered the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 27, verse 5. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in his private room.

Around 1:30, the Rebbe traveled to the Talmud Torah building, the 'Building Opposite Palatchek', for the 'Start of Gemara Learning' ceremony for the nearly five hundred fourth-grade students from all four branches of Mosdos Kiryas Yoel. The children sang several songs and recited rhymes in honor of the occasion.
The Rebbe drank a lechayim and wished the principals, rebbeim, and all the children well, distributed shirayim to the grandchildren, and delivered words of Torah and inspiration, bringing out the joy of the children that they are now beginning to learn Gemara, and gave many blessings.
Afterwards, the Rebbe distributed shirayim to the rebbeim to give to the children. The event ended around 2:00, and the children escorted the Rebbe shlit"a with "Ki Malachav" in honor of the uplifting trip to Eretz Yisroel next week.


Around 5:30, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home on Z'anz Kt.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim.
- R' Yoel Bar"k Schoenbrun and R' Yoel Bar"b Herskowitz, in the halls of Kinor David.
- R' Avrohom Zev Jakobovits and R' Yoel Bar"n Gandel, in the halls of Beis Rachel Paradise.

Kabbalas kahal (reception hours) took place from 8:00 until 1:10 at night in his holy home on Ohel Kt.

During the reception hours, members of the Vaad HaChasunah Takanos entered the Rebbe's room and discussed the plans for the 'Mechubadim Halls' to provide the Shabbos Sheva Berachos at affordable prices in the halls in his holy home on Ohel Kt. The Rebbe inquired about the plans to expand and build another hall with a kitchen, and gave his holy blessing.

Around 10:15, the Rebbe went down to the tenaim halls, where the Rebbe read the tenaim of the mechutanim R' Moshe Katz and R' Moshe Menachem Schlesinger.

The Rebbe davened Maariv around 11:30 and then continued receiving the public.

Sunday, Parshas Chayei Sarah — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, brissin took place.
- For the baby born to R' Gedalya Berger, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
- For the baby born to R' Yoel Berma"a Schoenbrun, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, the Kedushas Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The son of HaRav R' Yitzchak Yosha Horowitz shlit"a, a chosson of HaGaon R' Sinai Teitelbaum shlit"a, son of the Rav of our kehilla, HaGaon Rabbi shlit"a of Boro Park 15.
- The bochur Yaakov, son of Shmuel HaKohen Friedman.
- The bochur Yaakov Meir Naftali Kahn.

After davening, the Rebbe delivered the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 27, verse 4. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Large Hall.

Around 5:30, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home on Z'anz Kt.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Vayeira — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before candle-lighting time, the Rebbe put on the shtreimel for the chasanim.
- The chasan Shimon, son of Moshe Chaim Friedman.
- The chasan Shimon, son of Fishel Katz.
- The chasan Moshe, son of Yeshaya Shabsi Brach.

At about 5:20 the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: HaGaon Rabbi Meir Zwibel shlit"a, one of the rabbonim of our kehilla in Williamsburg. They finished at about 6:50. The congregation went over to wish a gut Shabbos, and the Rebbe went home to his holy residence.

At about 8:25 the Rebbe entered the shulchan hatahor in the hall of the Hamesivta, Yoel Moshe branch, together with the talmidei hayeshiva, and began, as is his holy custom, with Shalom Aleichem with feeling and sweetness.
- Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the young man Yissachar Ber Taub, may he live, son of the Rebbe's mechutan, HaGaon Rabbi, the Rav of the Beis Medrash Birach Moshe shlit"a.
- Hagbahas HaKos: R' Zusia Aryeh Stern (Yerushalayim).

The Rebbe shlit"a honored the following with the zemiros.
- Kol Mekadesh: R' Zusia Aryeh Stern.

The Rebbe shlit"a said Torah on the verse "And I will take a morsel of bread," and explained it in the manner of a derush on the sugya of aseh docheh lo sa'aseh.

The Rebbe gave a name on the occasion of the birth of his daughter, mazel tov. "And her name shall be called in Yisroel": Chaya, after the Rebbetzin's grandmother, wife of HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of Boro Park shlit"a.

A few minutes later the Rebbe entered the simchas Kiddush Rabbah in the northern hall of the beis medrash. The Rebbe made Kiddush and tasted mezonos and fish; joyous melodies were sung, and the baal simcha, Rabbi Dovid Dov Meisels shlit"a, danced.
The Rebbe drank lechayim and gave blessings to the baal simcha, to the Rebbe's mechutan, HaGaon Rabbi, the Rav of the Beis Medrash Yismach Moshe shlit"a, and to the entire congregation. He delivered holy words on the verse "G-d has made laughter for me," explaining that when a salvation comes through the attribute of din, the salvation remains eternal. This was the case with Sarah Imeinu: when she was remembered, many barren women were remembered with her, and for all later generations Sarah Imeinu brought about salvation. He concluded with his holy blessing. They finished at about 12:45.

Ra'avah D'Ra'avin

The Rebbe entered for Mincha at about 5:20.

The Rebbe said Torah on the verse "Let a little water be taken," explaining that learning Torah together with teshuva works for all four categories of kappara, and there is no need for suffering to atone.

The Rebbe recited Birkas Hamazon over a cup, and the Rebbe recited Sheva Brachos.

Maariv of Motzei Shabbos: from Shabbos, R' Shlomo Zalman Stein. After Havdalah the congregation went over to wish a gut voch. They finished at about 7:45.

In his holy residence, the Rebbe heard a group of bochurim graduating from the Yeshiva Ketana, Heichal HaTorah branch, of Williamsburg, on their studies of the past three years, and then bestowed his holy blessing and distributed a cup to all the bochurim.

At about 10:00 the reading of the tenaim took place in the Rebbe's presence between the mechutanim R' Shmelka Mittelman (Williamsburg) and R' Chaim Eichler (Williamsburg). The Rebbe read the tenaim, joyous melodies were sung, and the Rebbe drank lechayim and bestowed his holy blessing.

At about 10:30 the Rebbe went over to the Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek for the Melaveh Malkah gathering of the "V'Hechinu" group, under the auspices of the bochurim of Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek. The Rebbe drank lechayim and gave blessings to the Rebbe's mechutan, HaGaon Rabbi, the Rav of the Beis Medrash shlit"a, to the heads of the group, and to all the bochurim. He delivered holy words in praise of the members of the group who engage in Torah study on Erev Shabbos and Motzei Shabbos, and concluded with his holy blessing.

From there the Rebbe went over to the halls of Beis Rochel Paradise, where the public examination took place by the "V'Talmido B'Yado" group, under the auspices of the yeshivos ketanos of our holy mosdos from across Greater New York.
HaGaon Rabbi Binyamin Breuer shlit"a, dayan and moreh tzedek of Zichron Yehuda Vienna in Boro Park, and HaGaon Rabbi Avrohom Schwartz shlit"a examined the bochurim orally, and during this the Rebbe also asked several questions of the bochurim and watched with great nachas.
The Rebbe drank lechayim and gave blessings to the heads and administration of the group, to R' Yitzchak Schwartz, patron of the group, and to all the bochurim.
Afterwards the Rebbe delivered holy words on the verse "And I will take a morsel of bread," bringing out the importance of learning and reviewing the masechtos of Shas, which nullifies the yetzer hara, and blessed that they should be able to continue on, masechta after masechta, and concluded with his holy blessing.
