Monday, Parshas Vayeishev 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Yoel ben R' Moshe Eckstein, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Yoel Shlomo Zalman Katz.
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe was called up as shlishi. After davening, a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.

In the afternoon hours, high-ranking officials from the prisons in America and from the local Otisville prison in New York came to the Rebbe's holy home, at the personal invitation of the Rebbe shlit"a during his visit to the prison last month, after a lengthy visit in Kiryas Joel, at Mivtzar HaKollelim, Mesivta, Beis Rochel, Eishes Chayil, and more.

During the visit in the Rebbe's holy home, R' Gedalya Segedin, a member of the Kiryas Joel administration, spoke. He welcomed the officials and conveyed their impressions after visiting a city like Kiryas Joel, where so many thousands of families live without any criminal activity. Afterwards, the head warden of the Otisville prison spoke.
On this occasion the Rebbe discussed many matters concerning how to ease conditions for our Jewish brethren who are in distress and captivity, among them furloughs for Shabbosos and Yamim Tovim, providing fresh food, and various other matters. He then bestowed his holy blessing upon the prison officials and upon all the distinguished askanim present, among them R' Moshe Margareten of the Tzedek organization, Rabbi Avrohom Yosha Freund shlit"a of Nassau, and R' Shlomo Abramovitz, and thanked them warmly for their efforts to help and ease conditions for the Jews sitting in darkness and the shadow of death.
Afterwards the local prison officials remained privately with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, and various matters were discussed, as it is hoped that various efforts to ease conditions for our brethren will soon be seen. The Rebbe bid them farewell and thanked them warmly.

At around 5:20 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home, at the small minyan.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim:
- R' Yoel ben R' Shalom Gruber and R' Yoel ben R' Ephraim Hirsch, in the halls of Kinor Dovid.
- R' Levi Apfel and R' Yeshaya Mendel Weiss, in the halls of Beis Rochel Paradise.

After the chuppos, at around 7:50, the Rebbe went to Beis Medrash Shaarei Tefilla in the Helfa Hollow neighborhood of Kiryas Joel, where a Sheva Brachos celebration took place in our holy courts, arranged by the mispallelim of the beis medrash and the residents of the neighborhood in honor of the mechutan, HaGaon Rabbi Yaakov Shlomo Panet shlit"a, rav of the beis medrash.
The Rebbe first went in to view the mikvah adjacent to the beis medrash, which is under the strict supervision of the Mikvah Committee under the auspices of the Beis Din of our holy kehilla and under the supervision of the Rav of the beis medrash shlit"a. He then went into the beis medrash and viewed the davening rooms, the Aron Kodesh, and the mikvah.
Afterwards the Rebbe came to the Sheva Brachos celebration in the main hall of the beis medrash. Several niggunim were sung, and the Rebbe drank a lechayim and warmly blessed the chassan, the mechutan HaGaon, the rav of the beis medrash shlit"a, all the grandfathers and mechutanim, and the entire gathering. He delivered words of Torah on the topic of marriage and spoke in praise of the mispallelim of the beis medrash and the residents of the neighborhood, headed by the mechutan shlit"a. He urged them to conduct themselves as befits residents of Kiryas Joel, and especially urged the residents of the neighborhood to rent out apartments only to fellow chassidishe Jews, and concluded with his holy blessing. The Rebbe left the beis medrash at around 8:15.

Yechidus hours at the Rebbe's holy home on the Ohel Street were from 8:20 until 11:30 at night.

During the yechidus hours, a delegation of Chabad rabbonim came in and presented the Rebbe shlit"a with the newly printed complete Sefer HaTanya. A pleasant conversation ensued about the miraculous salvation of the holy Baal HaTanya zy"a, which took place on that day, 19 Kislev, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon them.

During the yechidus hours, the Rebbe went down to the tenaim hall, where the Rebbe read the tenaim of the mechutanim:
- R' Dovid Chananya Weiss and R' Akiva Geshtettner.
- R' Shimon Brach Landau and R' Avrohom Chaim Heilbrunn.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:30.

Sunday, Parshas Vayeishev — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- The bochur Fishel K"Tz.
- The bochur Simcha Meir Falkowitz.
- The bochur Zev Elazar Reichman.
- The bochur Shaul Yechezkel Glick.
- The bochur Yechiel Alter Pollak.

After davening, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Lipa Deutsch, at which the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
Afterwards, a lechayim was held in the heichal of the beis medrash with the bar mitzvah bochurim and the baal bris.

During the morning hours, HaGaon HaGadol Rabbi Matisyahu Deutsch shlit"a, Av Beis Din of the Ramat Shlomo neighborhood in Yerushalayim, the holy city, and author of Shu"t Nesivos Adam, paid a visit to the Rebbe shlit"a. A longer conversation of close to an hour took place in matters of Torah and halacha. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim, bestowed upon him his holy blessing, and accompanied him out.

The Rebbe davened Mincha at around 5:15 and Maariv at around 6:20 in his holy residence on Kiryas Joel's Route 'Zanz'.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim:
- R' Yaakov Yitzchak Schwartz and R' Efraim Zelkowitz in the halls of Kinor David.
- R' Chaim Zalman Weisberg and R' Moshe Hersh Brach in the halls of Beis Rachel Paradise.

At around 8:50, the Rebbe read the tenaim in his holy residence for the mechutanim R' Hershel Levy and R' Yitzchak Yonah Zabel.

"The sound of joy and salvation in the tents of the righteous"

At around 9:00, the Rebbe entered the Beis Medrash HaGadol for the central Sheva Brachos celebration in our holy courts, attended by thousands of chassidim, arranged by our holy kehilla in honor of the Rebbe shlit"a and HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Kiryas Joel and its environs shlit"a.
Upon entering, the Rebbe danced in place for several minutes and then washed for the Sheva Brachos seudah. During the Sheva Brachos, many songs of praise, thanksgiving and joy were sung. R' Dovid Eckstein from Eretz Yisroel performed, expressing the feelings of the members of our holy kehilla over the great joy in the home of the Rebbe shlit"a and HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Kiryas Joel shlit"a, and afterwards he called upon the Rav shlit"a.
The Rav shlit"a said divrei Torah in honor of the simcha and spoke in praise of the residents of Kiryas Joel and the merit they have to be close to the Rebbe shlit"a's holy presence every Shabbos, and especially on the exalted Yamim Tovim. He also spoke in praise of the esteemed chosson and of the mechutan, his son-in-law HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Glantz shlit"a, and wished the Rebbe shlit"a many blessings, that he should still bear fruit in old age until the coming of the true Redeemer, speedily in our days.
The singing of joyous songs continued, and the Rebbe stood up and danced for a while.

The Rebbe then delivered a Torah address on topics relating to marriage, combining Yom Tov Chanukah with marriage. He then continued with preparation for the coming Yom Tov of Chanukah and urged everyone to learn the sefer Bnei Yissaschar on Chanukah as preparation for Chanukah, saying, 'The Yom Tov is entirely different after learning such a holy sefer as Bnei Yissaschar.' The Rebbe concluded with praise to Hashem for the great joy of making a wedding for a fourth generation, mazel tov, and wished the entire congregation that everyone should merit to make a wedding for a fourth generation and to take part in it in full health, and he concluded with many blessings for the entire congregation.

The singing of joyous songs continued, and a panel in the spirit of badchanus took place with R' Chaim Hersh Glanzer and R' Yoel Brown.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Vayeishlach — Sheva Brachos Shabbos of the eldest fourth-generation granddaughter of the Rebbe shlit"a, the chosson HaRav Alter Yitzchak Panet shlit"a, son-in-law of HaGaon R' Yoel Glantz shlit"a, son-in-law of the Gaon Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a, in our holy kehilla in Williamsburg

Before candle lighting, the Rebbe put on the shtreimel for the chosson Yechezkel Shraga, the bochur, son of Lipa Teitelbaum.

On Friday evening at around 5:05, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and went up to Mincha.
After Mincha, HaRav Elazar Eichenstein shlit"a, one of the directors of our holy mosdos, spoke on the occasion of the annual dinner of our holy mosdos in Williamsburg, which takes place every year on the 20th of Kislev.
Kabbalas Shabbos: R' Moshe Chaim Goldstein (Kiryas Joel). They finished at around 6:40. The Rebbe went up to the Aron Kodesh and wished the entire congregation a good Shabbos together, and then went home to his holy residence next to the Beis Medrash HaGadol.

At around 9:30, the Rebbe entered the tish in the hall of the beis medrash and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem with emotion and sweetness.
Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the bochur Yissachar Ber, may he be well, son of the Gaon Rav of the Beis Medrash Barach Moshe shlit"a. Lifting of the cup: the Gaon Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a.

The Rebbe shlit"a honored the following with the zemiros.
- Kol Mekadesh: HaGaon R' Meir Schnebalg shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Hanipoli.

The Rebbe said a Torah thought on the verse "Yesh li rav achi, yehi lecha asher lecha" and explained it in a derush style on the sugya of min b'mino.

Stories and anecdotes: This week the Rebbe spoke at length about the holy Rebbes, the Eitz HaTemarim zy"a, who had the merit to participate in the wedding celebration of a fourth generation.
The newly married chasanim went over to take fruit. The Sholom Zochor took place at the homes of:
- R' Aharon Silberstein.
- R' Mordechai Hersh Lichtenstein.
- R' Yitzchak Fogel.
- R' Avrohom Klein.
- R' Yitzchak Eidelis.
- R' Yaakov Yuda Weiss.

The badchan, R' Mordechai Dovid Oestreicher, called up the Rebbe shlit"a with fitting rhymes for the elevated mitzvah dance, and the Rebbe watched the holy dancing for a longer time and then danced with the chosson, and then honored the grandfathers and the mechutanim to dance.

- Az B'Yom HaShvi'i: HaRav Meir Dovid Glantz shlit"a (Monsey), and the Rebbe danced in a circle in the hall of the beis medrash together with the chosson and the mechutanim. They finished at around 12:15.

The Rebbe said a Torah thought on the verse "Vayishlach Yaakov malachim" and explained that every Jew sometimes has a hisorerus to do teshuva, but not everyone merits to remain with that hisorerus, "Mi yaaleh b'har Hashem u'mi yakum bimkom kodsho." The advice is to be involved in Torah and to do mitzvos that are effective in nullifying the power of the yetzer hara. The mitzvah of bris milah is effective in weakening the power of desire, and the mitzvah of tefillin is effective in subjugating the desires and thoughts of the heart, and in this way one can remain with the hisorerus to do teshuva.

Before bentching, they continued with singing joyous and grateful melodies. The Rebbe bentched over the cup and recited the Sheva Brachos.

- Maariv on Motzei Shabbos: HaGaon R' Yoshe Gelb shlit"a, moreh tzedek.
After Havdalah the Rebbe wished the entire congregation a good week together. They finished at around 7:10 and the Rebbe shlit"a was escorted out with song and music.

At around 8:30 the Rebbe traveled home to Kiryas Joel.
Upon arriving in Kiryas Joel, the Rebbe first went over to the new "Mitav" location on Satmar Drive, which sells all grocery products at cost for those in kodesh and kollel students. The Rebbe looked around the entire store and then affixed a mezuzah on the main entrance, and a lechayim celebration took place. There the Rebbe heard a report from R' Yisroel Zahler, the driving force and patron of the store, about the enormous sums the grocery has already saved the residents of Kiryas Joel, and R' Naftali Hersh Zahler and HaGaon R' Wolf Aharon Teller shlit"a, director of Mivtzar HaKollelim, also spoke.
The Rebbe drank a lechayim and gave good wishes to the entire public. Afterwards the Rebbe went home to his holy residence.

At around 10:50, the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at the annual "Hineni Bni" dinner of the mosdos in Kiryas Joel, which took place in the Beis Rochel auditorium.
The chairman, R' Nachman Levy, continued with his address and called up R' Meir Hirsch with the appeal for the mosdos. Afterwards R' Nachman Levy shared words of humor on the occasion of the simcha in the home of the Rebbe shlit"a, with the wedding of his first great-grandchild.

The Rebbe shlit"a delivered holy words and expressed the feelings of the elevated trip and Shabbos Kodesh at the holy site of Meron this past Shabbos Parshas Toldos, which was a tremendous success, and praised the travelers who went with elevation only to Rabbi Shimon and back and were involved in Torah on the way. It is certain that it was a kavod Shomayim and an honor for the holy Rebbe, the Divrei Yoel zy"a, as most of the participants are graduates of our holy mosdos in Kiryas Joel, and this is a credit to the mosdos that such distinguished young men come out of here.
The Rebbe continued in praise of the mosdos and urged everyone to support the mosdos with a generous spirit, especially to be able to build the two new buildings currently being built for the Talmud Torah and Beis Rochel. He also urged people to conduct a Jewish home as befits a resident of Kiryas Joel, and especially spoke about reading material, saying that one should only bring reading material into the home with proper supervision, and he told a story of how the holy Rebbe zy"a sent a bochur from the yeshiva to check on a booklet that was not appropriate, and concluded with words of blessing for the mosdos' administration and for the entire public.
The Rebbe drank a lechayim and wished the entire public well. They finished at around 12:00.

Thursday, Parshas Vayeira 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning the brisos took place.
- For the newborn son of R' Yosef Eli Samet, where the Rebbe served as sandek.
- For the newborn son of R' Yoel Berish Mendlowitz, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Avrohom Amram Markowitz.
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for Hagbah.

After davening a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Berel Moskowitz, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur and the baal bris in the Rebbe's private room.

The sound of joy and song is on our lips, as we sing out - rejoice and be glad in the simcha of our Rebbe

In the afternoon around 1:45 the Rebbe left his holy home on the way to Williamsburg, where the Rebbe arrived around 3:00, and then returned to his holy home adjacent to the Beis Medrash HaGadol.

Around 4:45 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Heichal Meir Zelig in the Beis Medrash HaGadol, where the Rebbe davened Mincha. On the way to Mincha, the Rebbe passed through the Heichal HaTorah and looked over the many learners with great nachas.

After Mincha the entire kehilla, elderly and young, came over to bless and be blessed by the Rebbe shlit"a on the day of the chuppah.

Afterwards around 5:20 the Rebbe entered the kabbalas panim in the Heichal of the Beis Medrash HaGadol. Songs of inspiration were sung, and the badchan of the Rebbe, Rabbi Mordechai Dovid Estreicher, performed with words of mussar, enumerating the great lineage of the chasan, the kallah and the distinguished grandfathers who came to take part in the simcha.

Among those who participated in the kabbalas panim were the Dushinsky Rebbe shlit"a, the Vizhnitz Rebbe of Williamsburg shlit"a and the Rachmistrivka Rebbe of Williamsburg shlit"a.
During the kabbalas panim the Rebbe contributed tzedakah for his brother, HaGaon Rabbi of our kehilla in Boro Park 15 shlit"a, for the benefit of Kollel Eitz Chaim for the tzedakah of Rabbi Meir Baal HaNes in Eretz Yisroel, and also for the gabbaim of Kollel Shomrei HaChomos.

The Rebbe drank lechayim and bestowed blessings upon the chasan, the mechutanim, the grandfathers, and the entire kehilla. He delivered warm words of holy Torah, invoked the merit of the forefathers, and in a voice choked with tears expressed his heartfelt emotions, praise and gratitude for the privilege of leading a fourth generation under the chuppah. He blessed that the blessing of the tzaddik should rest upon our heads, and that all the tzaddikim of the upper world who descend to the wedding simcha, led by his father, the holy Rebbe, the Beirach Moshe zy"a, should bring down all good influences in all matters for the entire kehilla, and concluded with abundant blessings.

The kesuba was arranged. Witnesses to the kesuba: HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Oppenheim shlit"a, dayan of our beis medrash in the Zera Kodesh neighborhood of Kiryas Joel and director of Yeshiva Derech HaTorah, and HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Neiman shlit"a, director of Yeshiva Shvil HaTorah.
Afterwards they went to the badeken in the Krasna halls.

Around 6:50 the Rebbe shlit"a came out to the chuppah ceremony in front of our Beis Medrash HaGadol, in the presence of thousands of men.
The Rebbe shlit"a honored his brother-in-law, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Boro Park shlit"a, with the seder kiddushin.
- Reading of the kesuba: HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Bardiov shlit"a.
- First blessings: HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Greenville shlit"a.

After the chuppah the Rebbe shlit"a bestowed holy blessings upon the entire kehilla, and broke into a mitzvah dance with the grandfathers and mechutanim.

Afterwards the Rebbe went home to his holy residence on House Street, where the Rebbe davened Maariv.
After Maariv a joyous lechayim took place in honor of the siyum haShas of the Rebbe's grandson, Rabbi Lipa Ashkenazi shlit"a, son of the Rebbe's grandson-in-law, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a. A warm conversation developed with the family members about the lives of the great men of Israel, songs of Torah were sung, Rabbi Lipa shlit"a made the siyum and recited the Hadran, and the Rebbe led dancing for a period of time.

The Rebbe drank lechayim and bestowed of his holy blessing upon his grandson-in-law, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of Beis Medrash Avnei Tzedek shlit"a, upon his mechutan, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Carov shlit"a, and upon the entire kehilla. He also blessed the distinguished philanthropist, R' Nachum Rokeach, who came to wish mazel tov in honor of the wedding, and on that occasion used the cup of the holy Kedushas Levi zy"a, sent through R' Aharon Friedman, one of the leading askanim of chinuch in New York. A lovely conversation ensued about the history of the cup and about various weddings in Sighet.

After the wedding seudah, which took place in the Heichal of the Beis Medrash HaGadol, headed by the HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a together with the grandfathers and mechutanim shlit"a, the entire kehilla went over to the giant Greenhouse complex, where the wedding seudah was held by the Rebbe shlit"a, along with the joyous dancing and the uplifting mitzvah dance.

The sound of song and salvation in the tents of the righteous

Around 9:20 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the wedding seudah in the hall, with the participation of many thousands of men. The Rebbe danced on the spot for an extended time with great emotion and joy, and then washed for the wedding seudah.

Around 9:50 the chasan entered and the Rebbe danced with the chasan, and honored the mechutanim and the grandfathers, the Rabbonim HaGeonim shlit"a, to dance with the chasan, and then danced with the entire head table. The Rebbe also went out for a special dance with his son, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a, and his grandson, HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Glantz shlit"a.

Participating in the seudah were the Vizhnitz Rebbe of Monsey and the Vizhnitz Rebbe of London shlit"a. The Rebbe honored them with lechayim, bestowed of his holy blessing, honored them to dance with the chasan, and then broke into a mitzvah dance.
Also participating in the wedding simcha were the rabbonim of our kehilla from throughout greater New York and many Rebbes and rabbonim of Williamsburg, among them the Skulen Rebbe of Williamsburg shlit"a, the Galanta Rebbe shlit"a, and HaGaon Rabbi Mendel Silber shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Bnei Moshe Freiman.
The Rebbe left the hall around 10:50 and went into his private room in the hall.

Around 11:25 the Rebbe entered for Birkas HaMazon and the mitzvah dance.

- First blessings: HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of our kehilla in Boro Park 15 shlit"a.

Afterwards the badchan of the Rebbe, R' Mordechai Dovid Estreicher, called the Rebbe shlit"a to the dancing before the kallah with warm rhymes and invoked the merit of the holy forefathers. Then songs of inspiration were continued with outpouring of the soul and tears of joy. The Rebbe drank lechayim and blessed the chasan, the mechutanim, and all the assembled people. The Rebbe contributed tzedakah for the gabbaim of Kollel Chibas Yerushalayim. Then he carried out the holy dancing before the kallah with fiery enthusiasm and holy emotion for an extended time.
Afterwards the Rebbe danced with the chasan, with his son, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a, with his grandson, the father of the kallah, HaGaon Rabbi Yoel shlit"a and his family, and with the entire royal family, the grandchildren of his father, the holy Beirach Moshe zy"a, and then specially with his brother, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of our kehilla in Boro Park 15 shlit"a.

Afterwards the elder grandfathers, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Boro Park shlit"a, and HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Greenville shlit"a, were called to the mitzvah dance.

Then the grandfather, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a, was called. Songs of inspiration were sung and the Rav shlit"a danced before the kallah with great emotion and joy, and then danced with his father, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, for an extended time.

Afterwards the grandfathers, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Karlsburg Montreal shlit"a, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Yasla shlit"a, HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Bardiov shlit"a, and the mechutanim, the father of the chasan and the father of the kallah shlit"a, were called.
The badchan called out the chasan and kallah, Eishes Chayil was danced, and on the way out the Rebbe blessed the chasan and kallah as is customary. The Rebbe left the hall at 3:15 and went home to his holy residence adjacent to the Beis Medrash HaGadol.

Wednesday, Parshas Vayishlach 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning the following brissim took place:
- A bris for a newborn son of R' Shmuel Dovid Gandel, where the Rebbe served as sandek.
- A bris for a newborn son of R' Binyomin Mattisyahu Herskowitz, where the Rebbe served as sandek.
- A bris for a newborn son of R' Meir Avrohom Eiber Deutsch, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The bochur Chaim Hersh Kahana.
- The bochur Yoel Goldstein, son of R' Ch.
- The bochur Pinchas Schwartz.

After davening, a bris took place for a newborn son of R' Simcha Shalom Fuchs, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
Afterwards a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochurim and the baal bris in his private room.

After Shacharis, at around 12:50, the Rebbe went to the kever of our holy Rebbes on the occasion of the wedding of his eldest great-granddaughter, the daughter of his grandson HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Glantz shlit"a, son-in-law of the HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Williamsburg shlit"a. Upon arriving at the Beis HaChaim, the Rebbe recited a blessing, entered the ohel, lit candles at the kevarim of his holy Rebbes, the Divrei Yoel and the Beirach Moshe zy"a, and at the kever of his mother the Rebbetzin a"h, said the tefilla of the Yismach Moshe zy"a, recited the chapters of the fourth sefer as is customary, and said Kaddish. He then read kvitlach while the melodies of inspiration were sung, and afterwards prostrated himself at the kevarim of his holy Rebbes and of his mother the Rebbetzin a"h. They concluded at around 1:35.

In the afternoon at around 5:15, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy residence on Tzanz Ct.

During the afternoon hours, the Przeworsk Rebbe shlit"a connected by telephone with the Rebbe shlit"a, extending a blessing of mazel tov on the occasion of the wedding.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin under the chuppah of the mechutanim.
- R' Yosef Hersh Miller and R' Bentzion Eliyahu Zaldan in the halls of Kinor Dovid.
- R' Yechezkel Shraga Wertzberger, son of R' B, and R' Hillel Kahana in the halls of Beis Rachel Paradise.
- R' Yoel Shalom Shaper and R' Shimon Yoel Gutman in the halls of Ginat Klein.

The reception hours in Kiryas Joel were from 8:00 until 1:00 at night in his holy residence on Ohel Ct.

During the reception hours, the Rebbe offered consolation by telephone to HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Hershel Fish shlit"a, the Zidichov-Przemyśl Rebbe, on the passing of his wife the Rebbetzin a"h.

At around 10:00 the Rebbe went down to the hall for the tenaim, where the Rebbe read the tenaim of the mechutanim.
- HaGaon Rabbi Mendel Gold shlit"a and Rabbi Eli Bash shlit"a.
- R' Yoel, son of R' Bentzion Berkowitz, and R' Avrohom Yaakov Weinberger.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:30 and then continued receiving the public.

Tuesday, Parshas Vayishlach — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning a bris took place for a newborn son of R' Amram Brach, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The bochur Shimon Herskowitz.
- The bochur Yoel Goldberger, son of R' M.
After davening, a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe went up to the Yeshiva branch Kedushas Yoel, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room. At around 5:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening, the Rebbe traveled to Williamsburg for the weekly reception hours.
The reception hours in Kiryas Joel were from 8:00 until 11:45 at night in his holy residence on Hughes St.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 10:45 and then continued receiving the public.
