Monday, Parshas Pinchas — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, the Yoel Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Yosef Tzvi Grunfeld.

During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for hagbah. After davening, the Rebbe recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 32, verse 1. Afterward, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe went up to the yeshiva, the Divrei Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the yeshiva's talmidim in his private room. At around 6:00, the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim:
- R' Berel Stein and R' Moshe Hersh Bernath at the Beis Rochel Paradise halls.
- R' Yoel Bri"i Schwartz and R' Aharon Yuda Koenigsberg at the Gineth Klein halls.

Yechidus hours were from 8:00 until 12:55 at night at the Rebbe's holy home on Ohel Court.

At around 8:50, the Rebbe went down to the new halls in his holy home, where the ceremony of affixing the mezuzah to the new halls took place, together with a gathering of askanim for the benefit of the Chasunah Takanos. The Rebbe's son, HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of Kiryas Joel and its surroundings shlit"a, continued with his address. Afterward, several nigunim were sung.
The Rebbe drank a lechayim and blessed the entire gathering, and conveyed his holy words, expressing his great joy that two new affordable tenaim halls are being inaugurated. He said that the joy of a tenaim is great, since "the beginning is half of everything"; therefore, a tenaim, which is the beginning of the simcha, is itself a great simcha. He praised the askanim who brought this about and are working with all their strength to provide affordable halls for tenaim, weddings, and Shabbos sheva brachos, so that people can make a wedding more easily and with peace of mind. He said that, Baruch Hashem, Kiryas Joel has the most affordable halls in the entire world for all simchas, and that all of this is thanks to the askanim, as well as to all the mechutanim who come forward and are prepared to make simchas in an affordable manner, thus keeping expenses as low as possible. He concluded with abundant blessings for all the askanim.

Afterward, the Rebbe gave a gift to the heads of the Chasunah Takanos committee, R' Yaakov Eliyahu Reizman and R' Bentzion Eliyahu Zaldan. He then affixed a mezuzah with a blessing on the main entrance, and honored his son, HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of Kiryas Joel and its surroundings shlit"a, as well as the donors and askanim, with affixing a mezuzah on the other doorposts. He then wished all the askanim well. It concluded at around 9:15.

Afterward, the Rebbe read the tenaim of the mechutanim R' Baruch Mendel Landau and R' Binyamin Blackman.

During the yechidus hours, the bochurim from the yeshivos ketanos of Kiryas Joel entered, who had raised over a thousand dollars each in the Pekudas HaKodesh campaign during the past bein hazmanim for the benefit of the Kiryas Yoel mosdos. The Rebbe gave each of the bochurim a gift, the sefer Lev Aharon on Maseches Avos, and wished them the Rebbe's holy blessing.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:55.

Sunday, Parshas Pinchas — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, brissen took place.
- For the newborn son of R' Yoel the son of R' Yirmiyahu Bittman, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
- For the newborn son of R' Yoel Landau (Williamsburg), where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Yeshiva Gedolah, Kedushas Yoel branch. Before the davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The son of HaRav HaGaon R' Shmuel Lev shlit"a, moreh tzedek of our kehilla in London.
- The son of Rabbi Moshe Yosef Ashkenazi shlit"a.
- The bochur Mordechai Dov Neuhauser.
- The bochur Yoel, son of R' Shlomo Katz.

After davening, the Rebbe learned the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 32, verse 1. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

At about 1:50, the Rebbe traveled to Monsey for the Chumash seudah of the talmidim of the mosdos, which took place in the hall of the Beis Rachel building, "Binyan Dovid Neustadt" in Monsey. The Rebbe arrived at about 2:30 and greeted the Spinka Rebbe shlit"a, the HaGaon HaTzaddik Av Beis Din of Monsey shlit"a, and the other rabbonim seated at the head. The children sang several songs and rhymes in honor of the occasion, led by the principal, Rabbi Yisroel Meir Friedman shlit"a. Afterwards, the Rebbe distributed a Tehillim to all the children.
The Rebbe drank a lechayim and gave blessings to the entire assembly. He delivered words of Torah and expressed the joy of so many children beginning to learn the Written Torah, who will, b'ezras Hashem, continue with the Oral Torah. He continued in praise of our kehilla and our holy mosdos in Monsey, and urged them to stand guard, not to accept every child into the mosdos but only a child from a fine and chassidic home, as is fitting, and to maintain a strong wall both between them and the gentile street and between them and the other Jewish street. He concluded with his holy blessing.

Afterwards, the Rebbe crossed over to the adjacent Beis Rachel building, "Binyan Eli Neustadt," where the Rebbe distributed coins to the older classes of our holy mosdos who had brought in larger sums for the benefit of the mosdos. On this occasion, R' Shmuel Zanvil Wertheimer, director of the mosdos, presented a report to the Rebbe shlit"a about the further plans to expand the mosdos by building another building for Beis Rachel and also enlarging the existing buildings. The Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon the mosdos' administration.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim.
- Rabbi Yoshe Zalman Wertzberger shlit"a and R' Yitzchak Friedman, in the halls of Kinor Dovid.
- R' Meir Yehuda Perlman and R' Shaul Brach, in the halls of Beis Rachel Paradise.

At about 8:00, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his home on Ahel Court.

Afterwards, there were yechidus hours in the Rebbe's home until 12:30 at night.

During the yechidus hours, HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Alexander Asher Margulies shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Ohel Moshe, Vienna, Austria, paid a visit to the Rebbe. A pleasant conversation ensued and the Rebbe bestowed his blessing upon him, and wished mazel tov to his son Rabbi Berel shlit"a, chairman of the Kiryas Joel Committee for the Expansion of the City's Borders, on the engagement of his son, and to his son Rabbi Nosson Karpel shlit"a on the marriage of his daughter.

At about 9:45, the Rebbe went down to the halls in his home, where the Rebbe read the tenaim of the mechutanim:
- R' Betzalel Chaim Bash and R' Avrohom Yehuda Weinfeld.
- R' Boruch Strulowitz and R' Yoel Goldberg.
- R' Daniel Avrohom Nivach and R' Eli Daniel Abud.

Also entering for yechidus were HaGaon R' Shalom Teitelbaum shlit"a, dayan and moreh tzedek of Kiryat Vayoel Moshe in Monticello, together with R' Chaim Hersh Schwartz, director of the Kiryah, to receive the Rebbe's blessing for the upcoming summer season, b'ezras Hashem, and the Rebbe blessed them.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at about 12:30.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Chukas-Balak, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before candle lighting, the Rebbe put on the shtreimel for the chosson Shalom Eliezer son of Berel Stein.

Friday night at around 9:05, the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha. Kabbalas Shabbos: HaGaon Rabbi Yechiel Michoel Avrohom Friedman shlit"a, dayan of our kehilla in Bnei Brak.
The davening concluded at around 10:35. The congregation went over to wish a gut Shabbos, and the Rebbe went home to his holy residence.

At around 11:30, the Rebbe entered the holy tish in Heichal HaMesivta together with the yeshiva students, and began, as is his custom, Shalom Aleichem with emotion and sweetness.
- Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the bochur Yissachar Ber, may he live, son of the Rebbe's son-in-law, the Gaon Rav of the beis medrash Beirach Moshe shlit"a.

The Rebbe said Torah on the verse "He beheld no iniquity in Yaakov, nor saw perversity in Yisroel," and explained that Hashem gave the segulah of the Thirteen Attributes, "Let them perform before Me in this order," that one fulfills it through reciting them, if one is connected to true tzaddikim and if one guards his mouth properly. For this reason the destruction of Tzion and Yerushalayim came, because "the Torah scholars were scarce and the men of faith ceased," as people did not guard their mouths from falsehood and forbidden speech. Now, in these days of mourning over the Churban, we must strengthen ourselves in this matter and hold fast to truth.

After Havdalah, a group of bochurim, students of the yeshiva gedolah of Shikun Skvira, and a group of students of Yeshiva Shevet HaLevi of Lakewood who spent Shabbos b'tzeil hakodesh, entered the Rebbe's holy residence for a private audience. The Rebbe inquired about their learning, and the bochurim then went over to receive the Rebbe's holy blessing.

Thursday, Parshas Chukas-Balak — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning the brisos took place.
- For the newborn son of R' Mordechai Yona Weider (Williamsburg), where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
- For the newborn son of R' Shmuel Meir Spielman (Williamsburg), where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Yeshiva Gedolah branch Beirach Moshe. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for hagbah. After davening, he taught the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 32, verse 2. Afterwards, a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the afternoon hours, HaGaon Rabbi Pinchas Leibush Padwa shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Kehillas Shomrei HaDas Antwerp, paid a visit to the Rebbe shlit"a at his holy home. A pleasant conversation ensued on various halachic rulings of his grandfather, HaGaon the Cheshev HaEfod zt"l. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessing upon him.

At around 6:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha at his holy home on Tzanz Street.

In the evening the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim.

Wednesday, Parshas Chukas-Balak 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Yeshiva Gedolah branch Vayoel Moshe. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.

- The bochur Binyamin Zev Markowitz.

After davening, the Rebbe learned the daily Tehillim portion, on chapter 31, verse 20. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

In the afternoon the Rebbe went up to the Yeshiva branch Vayoel Moshe, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room. At around 6:00 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim R' Yitzchak Yekusiel Bikel shlit"a and R' Yoel Bar"n Gandel in the halls of Beis Rachel Paradise.

The reception hours were held from 8:30 until 12:30 after midnight at the Rebbe's holy residence on Ohel Ct.

At around 9:30 the Rebbe went down to the halls in his holy residence, where the Rebbe read the tenaim of the mechutanim.

- R' Berish Gefen and R' Wolf Scherzer.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 11:00. After Maariv the Rebbe recited Kiddush Levana, and then continued receiving the public.

After the reception hours at the Rebbe's holy residence on Zanz, R' Shimon Shisha shlit"a, head of the rescuers within Merkaz Ezra V'Eitza of the Eida HaChareidis for saving Jewish bochurim from the draft decree, who is currently in America for the benefit of the new office opened in Yerushalayim to keep up with the work, entered the Rebbe. He discussed various questions, and a lengthy conversation took place regarding the difficult situation in which Eretz Yisroel currently finds itself with the bitter decree, and how people from all sectors and circles turn to Merkaz Ezra V'Eitza for help. The Rebbe strongly encouraged the beneficial work of the Merkaz and bestowed upon him his holy blessing.

Tuesday, Parshas Chukas-Balak, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning the brissin took place.
- For the newborn son of R' Yuda Hersh Weiser, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
- For the newborn son of R' Moshe son of R' Yaakov Feldman, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Yeshiva Gedolah branch Eitz Chaim - Shiur Gimmel. After davening, the Rebbe learned the daily Tehillim portion, on chapter 31, verse 8.

In the afternoon the Rebbe went up to the Yeshiva branch Beirach Moshe, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room. At around 5:50 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

In the evening the Rebbe traveled into Williamsburg for the weekly reception hours.
The reception hours were held from 8:30 until 1:15 after midnight at the Rebbe's holy residence on Hewes St.

During the reception hours, the Zidichov Chareidim Rebbe shlit"a paid a visit to the Rebbe to receive his holy blessing on the occasion of his relocating to Eretz Yisroel. A pleasant conversation developed, with stories of tzaddikim who went up in their older years to live in Eretz Yisroel. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and bestowed upon him his holy blessing.

A lechayim gathering also took place on the occasion of the appointment of HaGaon R' Shimon Shmiel Friedman shlit"a, son of R' Wolf, son-in-law of R' Meir Stern, to serve as a moreh tzedek in our holy kehilla of Williamsburg. A pleasant conversation ensued; the Rebbe drank a lechayim and wished that no stumbling block should come from under his hand in halachic rulings.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:15 and then continued receiving the public.

Upon arriving home to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel, the Rebbe heard a report from the askanim of the Satmar election committee regarding the primary election held on the Conservative line for the State Senate seat in the Kiryas Joel area, where the residents of Kiryas Joel once again came out to vote for the candidate endorsed by the Satmar community. The Rebbe heard a report on the election results, in which the endorsed candidate received nearly one hundred percent support from the residents of the town and thereby won the primary successfully. The Rebbe wished the askanim that they should be able to continue with their holy work and maintain the connections with the officials, so as to be able to continue to accomplish on behalf of the chareidi Jewish community in New York.

Monday, Parshas Chukas-Balak — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, the brisim took place.
- For the son born to R' Chananya Levi, where the Rebbe was sandek and mohel.
- For the son born to R' Leibush Frankel, where the Rebbe was sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Yeshiva Gedolah, Divrei Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Pinchas Elimelech Weissman.

During the Torah reading, the Rebbe was called up as Shlishi. After davening, the Rebbe studied the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 31, verse 8. Afterward, a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.
Also, gabbaim of the Kupas Halbashah L'Chasanim of Mesivta Shaarei Yosher, Divrei Yoel branch, came in for an audience to receive a blessing in light of the current campaign for the fund, and the Rebbe bestowed from his holy blessing.

In the morning hours, the students of the Yeshiva Ketana, Ahavas HaTorah branch of Williamsburg, led by HaRav R' Yechiel Michel Sekula shlit"a, came in for an audience at the Rebbe's holy home and were tested on the Shulchan Aruch, Hilchos Birkas HaPeiros. The Rebbe tested the bochurim for an extended time, then distributed his sefer Lev Aharon to all the bochurim, and bestowed from his holy blessing upon the maggid shiur, his grandson HaRav R' Yoel Ashkenazi shlit"a, and upon the rebbeim of the yeshiva.

In the afternoon, the Rebbe went up to the Yeshiva, Kedushas Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the yeshiva's students in his private room.
In his private room, HaGaon Rabbi, the Av Beis Din of London shlit"a, came in for an audience. A pleasant conversation took place about our holy kehilla in London, along with a discussion about the laws of mikvaos, and the Rebbe bestowed from his holy blessing upon him.
At around 6:00, the Rebbe davened Mincha in the Yeshiva.

In the evening, the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim.

Entry times for audiences were from 8:00 until 10:45 at night at the Rebbe's holy home on Ohel Street.

At around 9:30, the Rebbe went down to the halls at the Rebbe's holy home, where the Rebbe read the tenaim of the mechutanim.
- HaRav R' Yisroel Shimon Meir Leiper shlit"a of Kiryas Joel (Satmar) and HaRav R' Avigdor Daniel Fish shlit"a, son of the Salka Rebbe shlit"a and son-in-law of the Tiferes Yechezkel Rebbe shlit"a.
- HaRav R' Moshe Kaufman shlit"a and R' Aharon Yosef Friedman.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 10:45.

After Maariv, the Rebbe went over to the Beis Rachel auditorium, where the uplifting gathering "Hevi'anu HaMelech" took place, in expression of gratitude to the emissaries of the Rebbe for establishing a firm foundation for the Yatev Lev institutions in Eretz Yisroel, together with a Sheva Brachos celebration in honor of the simcha at the home of R' Chaim Shlomo Fischer.
Several niggunim were sung, and a question-and-answer session, "Hevi'anu HaMelech Chadarav," took place. HaRav R' Elchanan Zev Yosef Friedman shlit"a posed questions to the Rebbe shlit"a, and those present merited that the Rebbe spoke and recounted many personal memories of the Divrei Yoel zt"l for over an hour, both regarding the Yatev Lev institutions and many stories about various matters that the Rebbe personally witnessed and experienced over the years in the shadow of his uncle, the Divrei Yoel zt"l. Among other things, the Rebbe spoke in praise of our kehilla and our holy institutions in Eretz Yisroel, and the importance of supporting the Yatev Lev institutions.
The Rebbe drank lechayim and wished blessings to the chosson, the mechutanim, and the entire assembly. Honored with Birkas Hamazon was R' Chaim Shlomo Fischer, and with the Sheva Brachos were R' Meir Hirsch, a member of the Yatev Lev institutions' administration, and HaRav R' Yissachar Yakobov shlit"a, director of our holy institutions in the holy city of Yerushalayim. Afterward, the Rebbe wished blessings to the committee of baalei batim, members of the Yatev Lev institutions' administration in the United States. The gathering concluded at around 12:40.

Sunday, Parshas Chukas-Balak, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning the brissen took place.
- For the newborn son of R' Shalom Yitzchak Scheer, where the Rebbe was sandek and mohel.
- For the newborn son of R' Chaim Hersh Beril Markowitz, where the Rebbe was sandek.
- For the newborn son of R' Yoel Asher Anshel Dresdner, where the Rebbe was sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, Kedushas Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The bochur Chaim Moshe Elimelech Katz.
- The bochur Avrohom Lebowitz.
- The bochur Yoel, son of Mordechai Gross.

After davening, the Rebbe led the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 31, verse 8. Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

During the morning hours, the Rebbe went on his weekly visit to the mehudar slaughterhouse.

In the afternoon the Rebbe went up to the Yeshiva, Divrei Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room. At around 6:00 the Rebbe davened Mincha in the yeshiva.

The administration of Machane Beis Rochel entered the Rebbe's holy home, headed by the camp directors HaGaon Rabbi Eliyahu Shlomo Kohn shlit"a and Rabbi Meir Yosef Gross shlit"a, to receive his blessing before the summer season, b'ezras Hashem. They discussed the many facilities that were set up this year in the camps for the benefit of the thousands of Beis Rochel girls, and the Rebbe bestowed from his holy blessing.

In the evening the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim.
- HaGaon Rabbi Aryeh Asher Indig shlit"a, dayan and moreh d'asra of Beis Medrash Maharsha, and R' Chaim Shlomo Fischer, the shamash, in the Kinor Dovid halls.
- R' Moshe Strulowitz and R' Yosef Pinchas Schwartz in the Beis Rochel Paradise halls.
- R' Yechiel Yuda Friedman and R' Simcha Katz in the Ginas Klein halls.

Entry times at the Rebbe's holy home on Ehel Court were from 8:15 until 10:50 at night.

During the entry times, the administration of 'Mifal Torasa Umanuso' entered the inner sanctum together with several balabatim, members of the community who own large businesses and have already implemented it in their businesses. A fine conversation ensued about the tremendous accomplishment of the idea and the importance of the balabatim who recognize that when a worker's head is immersed in Torah, he works better during his other hours, and the Rebbe bestowed from his holy blessing.

Also entering were the members of the building fund committee of Beis Medrash Divrei Yoel of our holy kehilla in Williamsburg, headed by HaGaon Rabbi Yisroel Shlomo Lichtenstein shlit"a, dayan of the beis medrash, to receive his blessing on the completion of the purchase of a large lot for a new beis medrash with all its needs. They presented the plans for the new beis medrash, and a fine conversation ensued about the halachos of mikvaos. The Rebbe drank lechayim and bestowed from his holy blessing upon the HaGaon, the dayan of the beis medrash shlit"a, and the members of the building fund committee.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 10:50.

After Maariv, the Rebbe went over to the Kinor Dovid halls to the wedding simcha of the daughter of the shamash, R' Chaim Shlomo Fischer. A fine conversation took place; the Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the chosson, the mechutanim, the grandfathers and the entire assembly well. After bentching, the Rebbe recited the Sheva Brachos, and then danced a holy mitzvah dance before the kallah, and afterwards with the chosson and with the shamash, R' Chaim Shlomo, and his family. It ended at around 11:40.
