Wednesday, Parshas Ki Savo 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, the Vayoel Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The bochur Chaim Eliyahu Felberbaum.
- The bochur Gedalia Falkowitz.
The Rebbe blew shofar and recited ten chapters of Tehillim, as is customary during the month of Elul.

After davening, the Rebbe taught the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 32, verse 2. Afterwards, a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

Around 1:40, the Rebbe went over to Heichal HaMesivta, the Birkas Moshe branch, where the Rebbe delivered the third sugya shiur on the topic of 'Chatzi Shiur,' as preparation for the Shabbos Shuva derasha. After the sugya shiur, the Rebbe engaged in pilpul with the bochurim. It concluded around 2:30.

Private reception hours ran from 6:15 until 12:50 after midnight at the Rebbe's holy residence on Ohel Court.

Around 6:55, the Rebbe davened Mincha at his holy residence.

After Mincha, the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim.

A pleasant conversation ensued, with memories of his childhood years in the city of Lizhensk before the Second World War. Among other things, he conveyed greetings from Kiryas Vayoel Moshe in Monticello after his stay there during the past summer months. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and bestowed upon him his holy blessing, and extended good wishes to his son, HaGaon R' Elazar Horowitz shlit"a, Rav of the Beis Medrash Vayoel Moshe in Boro Park.

Around 9:30, the Rebbe went down to the halls of his holy residence, where the Rebbe read the tenaim of the mechutanim, R' Yoel Hershkowitz and R' Fishel Katz.

The Rebbe davened Maariv around 12:50.

Tuesday, Parshas Ki Savo — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, brissin took place.
- For the newborn son of R' Aharon Goldstein, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
- For the newborn son of R' Yishai Mertz (Williamsburg), where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
- For the newborn son of R' Avrohom Moshe Gottesman, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, the Eitz Chaim branch - Shiur Gimmel. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Yaakov Yoel Glick.
The Rebbe blew shofar and recited ten chapters of Tehillim, as is customary during the month of Elul.

After davening, the Rebbe taught the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 32, verse 2.
Afterwards, all the talmidim of the yeshiva entered for a private audience with a kvitel and pidyon, to give and receive blessings in anticipation of the Days of Mercy and Favor, and in honor of the departure to the holy places in Europe this coming Sunday, IY"H. The Rebbe wished them well and distributed shlichus mitzvah money.
Afterwards, a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.

Around 1:50, the Rebbe went over to Heichal HaMesivta, the Birkas Moshe branch, where the Rebbe delivered the second sugya shiur on the topic of 'Chatzi Shiur,' as preparation for the Shabbos Shuva derasha. After the sugya shiur, the Rebbe engaged in pilpul with the bochurim. It concluded around 2:30.

In the evening, the Rebbe traveled to Williamsburg for the weekly zmanei kenisah (reception hours).
The private reception hours ran from 8:00 until 12:30 after midnight at the Rebbe's holy residence on Hewes St.

During the reception hours, HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Yitzchak Reich shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Przeworsk in Williamsburg, entered for a private audience to receive the Rebbe's blessing on the occasion of his daughter's engagement, mazel tov. A pleasant conversation ensued, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him his holy blessing.

The Rebbe davened Mincha around 8:30 and Maariv around 11:40.

Monday, Parshas Ki Savo — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Yeshiva Gedolah, Divrei Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Shaul Yechezkel Zev Katz.
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe was called up for Shlishi, and after davening the shofar was blown and ten chapters of Tehillim were recited, as is customary during the month of Elul.

After davening, the Rebbe delivered the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 32, verse 2. Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.

After Shacharis the Rebbe went over to the Beis Medrash Maharsha, where a bris took place for the newborn son of Rabbi Binyamin Zev Fuchs shlit"a, principal of the 9th grade of our holy mosdos in Monsey, where the Rebbe was sandek and mohel.
Afterwards a lechayim gathering was held together with the 9th-grade talmidim. The Rebbe drank lechayim and wished mazel tov to the baal bris and his family and to all the bochurim, and shared brief words of Torah and chizuk with the bochurim, urging them to make the most of their years as bochurim, and concluded with his holy blessing.

Around 2:00 the Rebbe went over to the Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch, where the Rebbe delivered the first sugya shiur on the topic of 'Chatzi Shiur' as preparation for the Shabbos Shuvah derashah. After the sugya shiur the Rebbe debated in learning with the bochurim, and it ended around 2:45.

Reception hours at the Rebbe's holy home on Ohel Court were from 6:00 until 12:50 at night.

Around 7:15 the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim.

Around 9:20 the Rebbe went down to the halls in his holy home, where the Rebbe read the tnaim of the mechutanim.

During reception hours, the Zanz-Zmigrod Rebbe shlit"a, who is staying during the summer weeks in the Divrei Chaim neighborhood of Kiryas Joel HaMuchreves, paid a visit to the Rebbe's holy home. A pleasant conversation ensued about stories of the House of Zanz and about the Nassoid Rebbe zt"l, whose yahrzeit it was. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and shared of his holy blessing, and wished mazel tov to his son-in-law HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Meir Grunwald shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Tetch, on the marriage of his daughter, to take place at a good time next week. The Rebbe accompanied him out to the street.

The Rebbe davened Maariv around 12:50.

Sunday, Parshas Ki Savo — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Kalman Eliezer Rubinstein, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, Kedushas Yoel branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- The bochur Yisroel Boruch Kleinberger.
- The bochur Mendel Farkash.
- The bochur Chaim Yuda Friedman.
- The bochur Shmuel Eliezer Chaim Perl.
- The bochur Aharon Weinberger.
The Rebbe blew the shofar and recited ten chapters of Tehillim, as is customary during the month of Elul.

After davening, the Rebbe studied the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 32, verse 2. Afterward a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

At around 1:40 the Rebbe traveled to Linden, New Jersey, for the Chumash seudah of the students of our holy mosdos in Linden, which took place in our great beis medrash in Linden, with the participation of the children's parents and grandfathers.
The Rebbe arrived at around 2:50 and greeted the rabbonim at the head of the room. The children sang several melodies and rhymes in honor of the occasion. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and offered blessings to HaGaon, the Rav of our kehilla shlit"a, to the rabbonim present, to the children and to the entire assembly. He also delivered words of Torah about the joy of the occasion, as the children begin learning Chumash, which is a beginning for everything, spoke at length in praise of the kehilla, and concluded with his holy blessing.
Afterward the children who were beginning Chumash came forward, and the Rebbe distributed a siddur to every child. The Rebbe also distributed blessed coins to the students of the older grades of our holy mosdos.

After the Chumash seudah, the Rebbe went down to the top floor and viewed the construction work at the mikvah and Heichal HaTorah, and in the course of this heard a report from the administration of the beis medrash. It concluded at around 3:30.

The Rebbe then traveled to the mikvah tahara of our holy kehilla, which was completed in recent days with great splendor. The Rebbe toured the entire mikvah with all its hiddurim, affixed a mezuzah, and bestowed his holy blessing on the askanim.

From there the Rebbe went to the guest residence in the home of HaRav R' Yaakov Yoel Weiss, where there were times of private audiences (yechidus) from 3:50 until 6:15. Many members of the community and residents of the city entered for a private audience in preparation for the Days of Mercy and Favor.
Upon arrival, the Rebbe drank a lechayim in honor of the chanukas habayis of the new home, and offered blessings to the host, R' Yaakov Yoel, to his grandfather R' Mordechai Weiss, and to the entire family.

During the private audiences, the Kasha Rebbe shlit"a came for a visit. A pleasant conversation ensued in praise of the city of Linden. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessing, and in particular offered a blessing of Mazel tov, as he is in the Sheva Brachos week of his grandson, l'mazel tov.

Also entering for a private audience was HaRav Nosson Dovid Ashkenazi shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Stanislav-Linden, to receive his holy blessing in preparation for the Days of Mercy and Favor, may they come upon us. A pleasant conversation ensued, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon him.

After the private audiences, signing ceremonies for pledge documents took place, where many members of the community and residents of Linden pledged larger sums for the benefit of the Talmud Torah building of our holy mosdos. The Rebbe signed the documents together with each donor individually and bestowed his holy blessing.

The Rebbe then went to the new home of the avreich R' Amram Fishman, where a pledge signing took place for a classroom in the Talmud Torah building of our holy mosdos. HaGaon R' Yoshe Peretz Schnebalg shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Zidichov-Linden, was present.
A pleasant conversation about stories of tzaddikim ensued. The Rebbe signed the documents together with the donor, drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessing. Afterward he affixed a mezuzah to one of the doorposts.
At around 6:30 the Rebbe left the home, leaving his blessing for the leaders and askanim of our kehilla and holy mosdos, and traveled home to Kiryas Joel.

Upon arriving in Kiryas Joel, the Rebbe went to the Gineth Klein halls for the wedding of the chosson, a grandson of the Rebbe of Achistrivka shlit"a of Bnei Brak and a grandson of the Poltishan Rebbe shlit"a, to the kallah, daughter of HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Kalman Halberstam shlit"a, Rav of the Zanz beis medrash in Kiryas Joel.
The Rebbe arrived at around 7:30 dressed in Shabbos garments. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and offered blessings to the chosson, the mechutanim, the grandfathers, the Rebbes shlit"a, and the entire assembly. Afterward the Rebbe accompanied the chosson to the badeken and from there to the chuppah. The Rebbe served as mesader kiddushin, and after the chuppah offered blessings to the entire assembly and joined in a mitzvah dance for tzaddikim.

At around 8:20 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his home on Ahel Court.
Afterward there were times of private audiences in his home until 12:15 at night.

During the private audiences, the Rebbe of Achistrivka of Ukraine shlit"a came for a visit. A pleasant conversation ensued with memories of his grandfather, the holy Skvira Rebbe zt"l. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessing, and in particular offered his holy blessing in honor of the opening of his new beis medrash in Ukraine.

Also entering for a private audience was HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Glogov shlit"a, to receive his holy blessing in preparation for the Days of Mercy and Favor, may they come upon us. A pleasant conversation ensued, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon him.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Ki Seitzei — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

Before candle-lighting time, the Rebbe put the shtreimel on the chassanim:

- The chassan Shlomo Hersh, son of R' Chaim Berish Spielman.

At around 8:20 the Rebbe entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and went up to daven Mincha.

They finished at around 9:55. An appeal was held for our holy mosdos in Montreal, the kehilla went over to wish a gut Shabbos, and the Rebbe went home to his holy residence.

At around 10:55 the Rebbe entered the holy tish in the Heichal HaMesivta together with the talmidei hayeshiva, and began, as is his custom, with Shalom Aleichem with emotion and sweetness.

At around 11:30, at the Rebbe's holy residence, HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Avrohom Moshe Gross shlit"a, av beis din of Keresztir, Berbesht, Monsey, who had spent Shabbos B'tzeil HaKodesh, went in for a farewell. A pleasant conversation took place and the Rebbe bestowed upon him from his holy blessing.

A kesivas ha'osiyos also took place for the Sefer Torah being written by R' Yuda Zev Klein, which will be brought, IY"H, on Sunday into the Beis Chaim Dovid beis medrash of our holy kehilla in the Pri Megadim neighborhood in Kiryas Joel HaMeurachas.
The Rebbe wrote in several letters and honored the Gaon HaGadol, the Dumatz shlit"a, to write a letter in the Sefer Torah. A pleasant conversation developed about the expansion of the boundaries of kedusha in the Pri Megadim neighborhood and about the magnificent beis medrash. The Rebbe drank lechayim and bestowed his holy blessing.

A signing of documents also took place, where R' Zalman Leib Kappel purchased the zechus of a dining hall in the new Beis Rachel building, the Klein building, in Kiryas Joel. A pleasant conversation took place about the strong expansion of the boundaries of kedusha of the Kiryas Joel mosdos. Several nigunim were sung, the Rebbe signed the documents together with the donor, drank lechayim and bestowed his holy blessing.

Afterwards a lechayim gathering was held in honor of the simcha of a marriage among the mechutanim R' Shimon Moshe Neustein and R' Yoel, son of R' Shlomo Michael Mayer, chairman of the Chaburas Toraschu Sha'ashuai Kiryas Joel branch. A pleasant conversation took place about marriage customs and about Chaburas Toraschu Sha'ashuai. The Rebbe drank lechayim and bestowed his holy blessing.

Friday, Erev Shabbos Parshas Ki Seitzei — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning a bris took place for a newborn son of R' Mordechai Yosef Brader, at which the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Talmud Torah Building Klein together with the students of the 9th grade of the branch of Rabbi Binyamin Ber Berkowitz shlit"a.
Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- the bochur Meir Eli Goldberger.
- the bochur Yoel Rosinger.
- the bochur Yitzchak Eizik Powell.
The Rebbe blew the shofar and said ten chapters of Tehillim, as is customary in the month of Elul.

After davening, the simcha of the bris milah took place for the grandson of the Rebbe, the newborn son of Rabbi Meir Eliezer Meisels shlit"a, son-in-law of the Rebbe's brother, HaGaon, the Rav of Beis Medrash Yismach Moshe shlit"a, and son-in-law of HaGaon R' Aharon Shmuel Dushinsky shlit"a, Rosh Yeshiva of Dushinsky.
The Rebbe shlit"a was honored with sandekaus.
- Mohel: the Rebbe's brother, HaGaon, the Rav of Beis Medrash Beirach Moshe shlit"a.
- Standing sandek: the Rebbe's brother, HaGaon, the Rav of Beis Medrash Yismach Moshe shlit"a.
The Rebbe recited the brachos and the naming, "and his name shall be called in Yisroel": 'Yekusiel Yehuda', after the grandfather, HaGaon, the Av Beis Din of Sighet zt"l, who was named for the holy Yetev Lev zy"a.

After the bris, people went over to wish mazel tov to the Rebbe shlit"a.

Afterward the Rebbe went down to the fourth floor, where the gathering "Birnah Yiktzoru" and siyum of the review of this year's learning took place with close to 500 fifth-grade students from all the branches of the Kiryas Joel mosdos.
Several songs and rhymes were sung in honor of the occasion. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and blessed the bar mitzvah bochurim, the rebbeim and all the children, delivered holy words of preparation for the days of mercy and favor, and concluded with his holy blessing.

After several minutes the Rebbe entered the seudas bris together with the 9th-grade students. The Rebbe washed for the seudas bris and tore the challah by hand, as is customary on Erev Shabbos.
At the seudah, the baal simcha, the father of the baby shlit"a, spoke. One of the bochurim also sang rhymes in honor of the occasion, and the principal presented a kvitel of the collective learning of the bochurim, who together learned over 2,000 consecutive hours in preparation for the Rebbe's visit.
The Rebbe honored the principal, Rabbi Binyamin Ber Berkowitz shlit"a, with the Yom Libashah.

The Rebbe delivered holy words and guidance: the mitzvah of milah brings wisdom into a person, so that he can discern when to make use of humility and when he does need to make use of pride. He concluded with his holy blessing.
The Rebbe led the bentching over the cup and honored the rebbeim with the Harachaman's. It ended around 2:00.

Afterward the Rebbe went over to the home of the baal bris and wished well to the mother.

Thursday, Parshas Ki Seitzei

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Yeshiva Gedolah, the Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put on tefillin for the bar mitzvah bochurim.
- The bochur Yoel son of R' Mendel Levy.
- The bochur Moshe Dovid son of R' Hershel Teller.
- The bochur Yoel Yaakov Yehuda Weiss.
- The bochur Avrohom Hoffman.
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for hagbah. After davening, the shofar was blown and ten chapters of Tehillim were recited, as is customary during the month of Elul.

After davening, the Rebbe learned the daily Tehillim shiur on chapter 32, verse 1. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.
A meeting was also held in his private room with the administrators of the mesivta, at which various details regarding the coming school year, IY"H, were discussed, and the Rebbe determined that they should learn Maseches Kesubos.

After Shacharis, the Rebbe paid a shiva call to the Landau family, who are sitting shiva for their brother, R' Hershel Landau a"h.

Private audiences with the Rebbe were held from 6:30 until 1:40 at night in his holy home on Uhel Court.

At around 7:15, the Rebbe officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim:
- R' Bentzion Rappaport and R' Yoel Schwartz, in the halls of Beis Rachel Paradise.
- R' Chaim Meir Weiss and R' Yoel Berkowitz, in the halls of Ginat Klein.

At around 8:30, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home and then continued receiving the public.

At around 9:40, the Rebbe went down to the tenaim halls in his holy home, where the Rebbe read the tenaim of the mechutanim:
- R' Moshe Aryeh Gutman and R' Yoel Lax.
- R' Meir Sachs and R' Meir Naftali Perl.
- R' Avrohom Leib Klein and R' Yitzchak Dovid Schwartz.

At around 12:00, the Rachmistrivka Rebbe shlit"a of Boro Park came for a visit to receive the Rebbe's blessing on the occasion of the wedding of his grandson, mazel tov, this coming Sunday, Parshas Ki Savo, in Kiryas Joel. A pleasant conversation ensued about stories of tzaddikim of the Chernobyl dynasty. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim, bestowed his holy blessing upon him, and accompanied him out to the street.

Afterwards, the directors of Kollel Shomrei HaChomos entered for a private audience, led by the Tolchava Rebbe shlit"a, one of the heads of the kollel's administration, to receive the Rebbe's blessing for the campaign currently taking place in Kiryas Joel ahead of the coming Yamim Tovim, IY"H. They gave a report on the kollel's recent activities, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 12:50 and then continued receiving the public.

After the private audiences, at around 1:45, the Rebbe went to the Vachnacht celebration for the newborn son of his grandson, HaRav Meir Eliezer Meisels shlit"a, son-in-law of the Rav of Beis Medrash Yismach Moshe shlit"a, at the home of his father in the Beirach Moshe neighborhood. A conversation took place about the bitter draft decrees hanging over the thousands of bochurim and yungeleit in Eretz Yisroel, where, sadly, bochurim are being arrested daily. The Rebbe drank a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings. Afterwards, the Rebbe recited Krias Shema as is customary. The gathering ended at around 2:05.

Wednesday, Parshas Ki Seitzei

In the morning a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Levi Yitzchak Levy, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Yeshiva Ketana branch Yitev Panim, under the direction of HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Leib Silberstein shlit"a. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- The bochur Shmuel Eckstein.
- The bochur Dovid Kaufman.

The Rebbe lit candles and went to the amud in honor of the hilula kadisha of his grandfather, the Yitev Lev zy"a.
The Rebbe blew shofar and recited ten chapters of Tehillim, as is customary during the month of Elul.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place in the main hall of the beis medrash. Several niggunim were sung, and the Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the bar mitzvah bochurim, the rebbeim and the talmidim of the yeshiva well. He delivered words of Torah, explaining that in the merit of Torah study—"even one who sits and studies Torah, the Shechinah is with him"—Hashem looks at the blemish of a sin according to how it appears in this world, and not how it appears in the upper world. He concluded with his holy blessing.

Upon arriving home at his residence, the Rebbe blessed small bottles of honey, which will be sent out by the Rebbetzin, the tzadekes tlit"a, to the hundreds of widows of our holy kehilla from all over the world, in honor of the upcoming Yom Tov of Rosh Hashana. He also heard a report from the askanim about the efforts to assist the widows, and bestowed his holy blessing.

At around 3:30 the Rebbe traveled to Monsey for the annual reception times for the members of the kehilla, to give and receive blessings in advance of the Days of Mercy and Favor.
At around 4:15 the Rebbe arrived at his private room in the large beis medrash for the reception times. During the reception, hundreds of Jews, elders and youths, entered to give and receive blessings with a kvitel and pidyon, in advance of the upcoming Yamim Noraim.

At around 8:10 the Rebbe davened Mincha. The Rebbe lit candles and went to the amud in honor of the yahrzeit.

After Mincha, at around 8:30, the Rebbe entered the main hall of the beis medrash for the seudas hilula and honored the holy table in honor of the yahrzeit. At the lechayim after the fish, the Rebbe wished, "May his merit protect us and all of Israel."
During the seudah, inspiring niggunim were sung, and with "Michtam LeDavid" the Rebbe honored the Tzaddik R' Aharon Teitelbaum shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Sighet-Monsey, son of the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rav of our kehilla in Boro Park, shlit"a.

The Rebbe delivered words of Torah and explained, in the teachings of the Baal HaHilula zy"a, that since Klal Yisroel are servants of Hashem, Hashem could take This World away from the nations of the world and give it to the Jewish people. In the merit of a person lowering himself from his own levels to help others, Hashem too descends to the lowly world and looks at the blemish of a sin according to how it appears in this world, and not how it appears in the upper world. This was seen with the Baal HaHilula zy"a, who lowered himself to every individual, especially to bochurim, and ran a yeshiva and taught Torah to bochurim. We must strive to follow in his ways and conduct ourselves as talmidim of the Yitev Lev.
The Rebbe continued in praise of our holy kehilla and mosdos in Monsey and of the Rav shlit"a who stands at its head, and urged sending children only to our yeshivas, and helping and supporting the holy mosdos so they can complete the new buildings currently being built for the yeshiva, the talmud torah and the Beis Rachel. At the end, he urged everyone to prepare for the Days of Mercy and Favor by studying sefarim of chassidus and mussar, and he designated the sefer Tiferes Shlomo to be studied to warm the heart toward teshuva and in preparation for the Yamim Noraim. He concluded with abundant blessings.

- Birkas Hamazon: the Gaon and Tzaddik, Av Beis Din of Monsey shlit"a.
It ended at around 9:50, and the Rebbe returned to his private room and continued with the reception times.

At around 12:30 the Rebbe davened Maariv.
After Maariv, a lechayim gathering took place in the Rebbe's room in honor of the engagement of the chassan, son of R' Yechiel Michel Berkowitz shlit"a, son of the Gaon, Dayan and Moreh Tzedek of Kiryas Joel shlit"a and son-in-law of the Seredna Rebbe of Boro Park shlit"a. The kallah's parents are R' Yosef Meir Schmidman shlit"a, son of the Gaon and Tzaddik, Av Beis Din of Flatbush shlit"a, and son-in-law of R' Avrohom Dovid Wagshal z"l. The kinyan was made, and the Rebbe drank lechayim and bestowed his holy blessing.
Afterward, the Rebbe traveled home to Kiryas Joel.

Tuesday, Parshas Ki Seitzei — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

This morning, a bris took place in the Beis Medrash Beis Menachem Zev in the Vyoel Moshe neighborhood, for the newborn son of R' Shimshon Indig, at which the Rebbe served as sandek.
Before the bris, the Rebbe looked over the construction work on the new wing being added to the beis medrash, and heard a report from the beis medrash administration about the building plans.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash Yisroel Shalom in the Vyoel Moshe neighborhood, on the occasion of the simcha of the bris milah of the grandson, the newborn son of Rabbi Mordechai Yuda Halberstam shlit"a, son of HaGaon R' Avrohom Meir shlit"a, Dayan and Moreh Tzedek of our beis medrash at 18 Bay Parkway, and son-in-law of the HaGaon, the Rav of Beis Medrash Yisroel Shalom shlit"a.
The Rebbe recited "Vechorsos" verse by verse, and after davening the shofar was blown and the Rebbe recited ten chapters of Tehillim, as is customary during the month of Elul.

After davening, the simcha of the bris milah took place in the main hall of the beis medrash.
The Rebbe shlit"a was honored with the sandek and mohel honors.
- Sandek standing: HaGaon R' Avrohom Meir shlit"a.
- Blessings and naming: the grandfather, HaGaon Av Beis Din of Beis Aharon shlit"a; "and his name shall be called in Yisroel": 'Yoel', after the holy Rebbe, the Divrei Yoel zy"a.
After the bris, the congregation went over to wish mazel tov to the Rebbe shlit"a.

A few minutes later, the Rebbe entered the seudas bris in the main hall of the beis medrash. Speaking were the baal simcha, the father of the baby, Yuda shlit"a, and the grandfathers, HaGaon, the Rav of Beis Medrash Yisroel Shalom shlit"a, and HaGaon Rabbi Avrohom Meir shlit"a.
The Rebbe honored Rabbi Hillel, son of HaGaon R' Avrohom Meir Halberstam shlit"a, with Yom Libeshah.

The Rebbe delivered words of Torah on the topic of bris milah, and concluded with his holy blessings.
The Rebbe honored the HaGaon, the Rav of Beis Medrash Yisroel Shalom shlit"a, with leading Birkas Hamazon, and the family members with the Harachaman prayers. The seudah concluded at around 1:20.

In the evening, the Rebbe traveled to Williamsburg for the weekly reception hours.
The reception hours were held from 7:45 until 12:20 at night in his holy home on Hewes St.

At around 8:45 the Rebbe davened Mincha, and Maariv at around 11:20. Before Maariv, the Rebbe lit candles and approached the amud on the occasion of the holy hilula of his grandfather, the Yetev Lev zy"a.

After the reception hours, the Rebbe went over to the Beis Medrash Beis Shmuel Zvi Spinka, where the Rebbe comforted the mourners, the Rebbe shlit"a, the children and brother of the Beis Shmuel Zvi Spinka Rebbe zt"l.
At around 12:35 the Rebbe traveled home to Kiryas Joel.
