Monday, Parshas Ki Seitzei — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, the bris of the newborn son of R' Meshulam Issur Levy took place, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the following bar mitzvah bochurim.
The bochur Binyomin Tzvi Stern.
The bochur Avrohom Yoshe Gross.
During the Torah reading the Rebbe went up for Hagbah, and after davening the shofar was blown. Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

In the afternoon the Rebbe went up to Heichal HaYeshiva, Divrei Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidim of the yeshiva in his private room.

Yechidus hours in the inner sanctum were from approximately 6:00 until 12:50 at night at his holy residence on Ohel Court.

At about 8:00 the Rebbe davened Mincha at his holy residence.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tenaim in the tenaim hall at his holy residence for the following mechutanim.

A pleasant conversation took place about the recent efforts for the benefit of mezuzos. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings.
Also visiting the Rebbe was the Shatz Rebbe of Montreal shlit"a. A pleasant conversation ensued, with recollections of the visits of the Divrei Yoel zy"a to Montreal. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim and bestowed his holy blessings.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at about 12:50 at his holy residence.

Sunday, Parshas Ki Seitzei, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the following bar mitzvah bochurim:
The bochur Hersh Leib Fischer.
The bochur Boruch Eckstein.
The bochur Mendel Friedman.
During davening the Rebbe recited Zechiros verse by verse, and after davening the shofar was blown.

After davening, brissin took place.
For the newborn son of R' Shmuel Berach"d Fried, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
For the newborn son of R' Shimon Rubinstein, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

Afterwards a lechayim took place with the bar mitzvah bochurim together with the baalei simcha in the Heichal of the Beis Medrash, where the Mi Sheberach was made.

In the morning hours the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a was on his weekly visit to the hiddur Beis HaShechita, accompanied by HaGaon Rabbi Menachem Mendel Wertzberger shlit"a, Dayan of our holy kehilla in Montreal, and HaGaon Rabbi Efraim Zalman Margulies shlit"a, Rav Hamachshir in the new meat store of our holy kehilla in Montreal.

In the afternoon hours, a visit to the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a in his holy home was paid by his mechutan HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Yitzchak Dovid Horowitz shlit"a, the Ratzfert Rebbe of Brazil, together with his brother-in-law HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Zusha Baer shlit"a, the Ratzfert Rebbe of Monsey. A fine conversation developed about Yiddishkeit in Brazil, and the Rebbe honored them with a lechayim and shared of his holy blessings.

After the visit, at around 4:00, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

At around 5:00 the Rebbe arrived in Skver, where the Rebbe participated in the levaya of the Rebbetzin of Zvihil a"h, the daughter of his brother-in-law the Skverer Rebbe shlit"a, which took place in front of the Beis Medrash HaGadol of Skver. The Rebbe also went up to the cemetery and waited until after the burial. At around 6:30 the Rebbe traveled home to Kiryas Joel.
Upon arriving in Kiryas Joel, the Rebbe paid a shiva call to the family of R' Avrohom Yosha Wertzberger a"h.

At around 7:30 the Rebbe arrived at the Beis Medrash HaGadol for the hachnasas sefer Torah donated by the esteemed philanthropist, the bochur R' Yehuda Weiss. The Rebbe took the Sefer Torah from the donor and led the holy dancing, and afterwards recited "L'Dovid Mizmor" as is customary.

The Satmar Rebbe shlit"a officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim R' Dovid Eliyahu Neustadt – R' Yoel Steinmetz, at the Beis Rachel Paradise hall.

Entry times for the holy inner chamber were from about 8:15 until 12:00 at night.

During the entry times, HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Alexander Asher Margulies shlit"a, Rav of Kahal Ohel Moshe – Vienna, Austria, came for a private audience. A fine conversation ensued and the Rebbe shared of his holy blessings.

Motzei Shabbos, Parshas Shoftim, 'B'tzeil HaKodesh'

In the Rebbe's holy home, a siyum on the writing of the letters took place for the Sefer Torah being written by R' Meir Wertheimer. The Rebbe wrote in the letters and shared of his holy blessings.

Also entering for a private audience was HaGaon Rabbi Elazar Mordechai Sofer shlit"a, Rav of our holy kehilla in Lindenwood, New Jersey, who had chosen to spend Shabbos B'tzeil HaKodesh.
Later, the Radvil Monsey Rebbe shlit"a entered for a private audience. A fine conversation developed, and the Rebbe shared of his holy blessings.

At around 12:45 the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a traveled to the halls of Beis Rachel Paradise for the siyum on Maseches Kiddushin of the hundreds of talmidim of the ninth-grade Mechina L'Yeshiva, in the presence of the parents and grandfathers.
The bochurim sang verses of praise, the Rebbe drank a lechayim and wished the entire gathering well, and delivered holy words and guidance on the occasion of the end of the zman.

After the Rebbe's address, the Rebbe distributed to all the bochurim a sefer on the Geula and on the Temura. The event concluded at around 1:15.

Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Shoftim — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.

On Friday night at around 8:10 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the beis medrash wrapped in his tallis and approached the amud for Mincha, and after Mincha recited Kaddishim in honor of the hilula kadisha of HaGaon HaKadosh, the Heitev Lev zy"a. Kabbalas Shabbos: HaGaon Rabbi Elazar Mordechai Soffer shlit"a, Rav of our holy kehilla in Lakewood, New Jersey.

Davening ended at around 9:40, and an appeal was held for the Rav Tuv institution. The congregation then passed by to wish a "gut Shabbos," and the Rebbe shlit"a went into his private room.

A short time after davening, the Rebbe shlit"a came into the Shabbos seudah in the Heichal HaShulchanos together with the talmidim of the mesivta, and began, in his holy manner, "Shalom Aleichem" with feeling and with a sweet melody.

Eishes Chayil: the Rebbe's grandson, the bochur Meir Eliezer Teitelbaum, son of HaGaon HaTzaddik, Rav of the beis medrash Beirach Moshe shlit"a. Lifting the cup for Kiddush: R' Shalom Yitzchak Scheer (Antwerp).

In his Torah, the Rebbe shlit"a addressed the verse "Hashem said to you, you shall not return again on this path," and explained that there are two ways of teshuva: one through the attribute of mercy, through a spirit of purity from above; the second, chas v'shalom, through the attribute of judgment. By engaging in acts of tzedakah, one merits that the attribute of judgment is transformed into mercy; likewise, by engaging in Torah and "dwelling in the house of Hashem," one merits to behold the pleasantness of Hashem, to a call of affection from Heaven. He continued with words of inspiration for the days of mercy and favor.

This morning, before Shacharis, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Hershel Fried, at which the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the hall of the Yeshiva Ketana, Divrei Chaim branch, under the direction of HaGaon Rabbi Shlomo Elimelech Stein shlit"a, in the Goldstein building on Rimanov Street.
Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the following bar mitzvah bochurim:
The bochur Avrohom Shaul Yaakov Friedman.
The bochur Yuda Asher Roth.
The Rebbe shlit"a lit 5 candles and led the davening as chazan on the occasion of the holy hilula of his grandfather, the holy HaGaon, Maran the Yitav Lev zy"a, and after davening the shofar was blown.

Afterwards a lechayim gathering took place in the hall of the beis medrash. Songs of awakening were sung, and the bochur Yisroel son of R' Yoel Palachek made a siyum on Maseches Yoma, and the Rebbe recited Kaddish. The Rebbe drank a lechayim, extended blessings to the rebbeim of the yeshiva and all the bochurim, and delivered brief words of Torah on the occasion of the end of the zman.

Afterwards the Rebbe went down to the students of grades 3, 4 and 5 of the branch of Rabbi Yoel Halpert shlit"a, where a lechayim gathering took place. The children sang rhymed verses, and the Rebbe spoke brief words of blessing to the children, and then distributed shirayim to several grandchildren.

Thursday, Parshas Shoftim — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Yoel Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the following bar mitzvah bochurim:
The bochur Yoel Landau, son of R' Yoel Dovid.
The bochur Yoel Gross.
During the Torah reading, the Rebbe went up for Hagbah. After davening the shofar was blown, and the Rebbe recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 13, verse 6. Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in the Rebbe's private room.

In the morning hours, groups from the Beis Ulpana, students of Shiur Beis of the Mesivta Hakedosha, Kedushas Yoel branch, together with the principal HaGaon R' Kalman Halberstam shlit"a, entered the Rebbe's holy home to receive the Rebbe's blessing in honor of the siyum on Shas that was divided among the entire group. The Rebbe inquired about their course of study, and the principal shlit"a presented a kvitel with the group's names. Afterwards all the bochurim passed by, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessings.

In the afternoon, at around 4:30, the Rebbe shlit"a arrived at our great beis medrash in Monsey, where the times of entry to the Rebbe's room were held, in his private room, for hundreds of members of our community in Monsey ahead of the Days of Mercy and Favor. They entered the inner sanctum to be remembered for salvation and mercy.

At around 8:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha, and at the time of Rabbeinu Tam davened Maariv. Before Maariv the Rebbe lit 5 candles and led the davening as chazzan in honor of the holy hilula of his grandfather, the holy Gaon, the Heitev Lev zy"a. After Maariv, the Rebbe continued receiving the public.

At around 10:00 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the Heichal of the beis medrash, where the Rebbe washed for the hilula seudah and honored the holy table in honor of the yahrzeit. After the fish, the Rebbe made the siyum on the six orders of Mishnah, which had been learned by members of the kehilla, and recited the Kaddish.
During the seudah, songs of inspiration were sung. With the Michtam LeDovid, the Rebbe honored HaRav HaTzaddik R' Aharon Teitelbaum shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Eitz Chaim Sighet Monsey, son of the HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of our kehilla in Boro Park, shlit"a.

At around 11:00 the Rebbe began delivering words of Torah and guidance. The Rebbe took as his theme the verse "Ki yipaleh mimcha davar," and spoke about the teachings of the baal hahilula zy"a and his tremendous righteousness and holiness. The Rebbe expressed his heartfelt emotions about the privilege of spending this year's Shabbos in Sighet, and spoke in praise of our holy kehilla in Monsey, especially our great beis medrash, which is a focal point of so much Torah, tefillah, tzedakah, and chesed. He spoke of the tremendous expansion of the borders of holiness of our holy mosdos, both the talmud torah and the Beis Rochel, where new buildings are now being built. He mentioned that preparations are underway to build yet another building for the yeshiva ketana, and that there is hope to open soon a new butcher shop to meet the great demand of our community members. He also praised our community members, noting that the vast majority belong to the camp of Hashem. He mentioned the historic gathering of righteous women that took place last week in Kiryas Joel, and asked that one also be held in Monsey, with the Rav shlit"a delivering words to make known "the way in which they should walk." He concluded with his holy blessings.

For Birkas Hamazon, the Rebbe honored the HaGaon HaTzaddik, Av Beis Din of Monsey shlit"a. After bentching, the Rebbe recited Sheva Brachos for several chasanim from our community. The seudah concluded at around 11:45.

After the tish, the Rebbe continued receiving the public until around 1:15 after midnight.

During the times of entry, a siyum on the writing of the letters took place for the Sefer Torah being written by R' Yudel Perlstein (of Boro Park). The Rebbe wrote in the letters, drank a lechayim, and bestowed his holy blessings.

After the times of entry, at around 1:15, the Rebbe set out for home to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel. On the way, the Rebbe stopped at the place where the location of the butcher shop in Monsey will soon open, where R' Refael Perlmutter of Boro Park showed the Rebbe the plans, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessings.

Wednesday, Parshas Shoftim — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, son of Rabbi Yeshaya Silberstein.
After davening, the Rebbe blew the shofar, and then recited the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 11, verse 5. Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur in the Rebbe's private room.

The times for entering to the Rebbe were from around 5:45 in the afternoon until 12:00 at night.

During the times for entering, the siyum of the writing of the letters took place for the Sefer Torah being written by the distinguished and prominent R' Yuda Weiss, l'ilui nishmas the holy Ohr HaChaim zy"a, which will be brought in this Sunday, Parshas Ki Seitzei, to the Beis Medrash HaGadol. The Rebbe wrote in the letters, and then drank a lechayim. A conversation developed about R' Yuda's many activities l'ilui nishmas the holy Ohr HaChaim, and about the groups learning the holy Ohr HaChaim in the Heichalei HaMesivta, which he supports with his good heart. R' Yuda also presented to the Rebbe shlit"a the plans for the gigantic 6-story building for the magnificent beis medrash and the yeshiva ketana, which will soon be built on Hebron Street, and the Rebbe bestowed from his holy blessings.

Around 7:45 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

Tuesday, Parshas Shoftim — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal of the Yeshiva Ketana, Even Tzedek branch, under the direction of HaRav R' Chaim Eliezer Davidowitz shlit"a.
Before davening the Rebbe put tefillin on the following bar mitzvah bochurim.
The bochur Asher Zelig Bleich.
The bochur Yisroel Leib Cohen.
During davening the Rebbe said Kaddish in honor of the yahrzeit of the Rebbetzin, the righteous wife of HaRav HaKadosh R' Yisroel Yaakov Yokel zt"l of Valova, daughter of the Heitev Lev zt"l. After davening the shofar was blown.

Afterwards a lechayim gathering took place in the beis medrash hall. Several nigunim were sung, the Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the rebbeim of the yeshiva and all the bochurim well, delivered divrei Torah in honor of the end of the zman, and concluded with his holy blessings.

In the morning hours the Rebbe participated in the levaya of HaRav R' Avrohom Yosha Wertzberger a"h, a member of the Birkas Moshe beis medrash.

At 2:45 in the afternoon the Rebbe shlit"a traveled to Williamsburg for the weekly entry times.
Upon arrival, the Rebbe comforted the mourner, R' Hershel Berkowitz, on the loss of his wife a"h.
From there the Rebbe shlit"a went to the home of R' Yosha Tzvi ben Sheril Glick, for a refuah shleima, one of those injured in the terror attack on Motzei Shabbos in Eretz Yisroel, for a short bikur cholim visit.

Entry times to the Rebbe were from 5:15 until 11:45 at night in his holy home in Williamsburg. Around 7:30 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

During the entry times, HaGaon R' Moshe Mordechai Katz shlit"a, son of the Viener Rebbe shlit"a and son-in-law of the Wiznitz Rebbe of Eretz Yisroel shlit"a, entered together with his son the chassan, to receive his holy blessings and to invite the Rebbe shlit"a to the wedding simcha taking place this coming Wednesday, Ki Seitzei, in Boro Park. The Rebbe bestowed of his holy blessings.
Likewise, his mechutan HaGaon R' Kalman Yosha Babad shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Drobitch, entered to receive his holy blessing ahead of the wedding of his daughter the kallah, and the Rebbe bestowed of his holy blessings.

Monday, Parshas Shoftim — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Divrei Yoel branch. During the Torah reading the Rebbe was called up as the third oleh, and after davening the shofar was blown. Afterwards the Rebbe reviewed the daily Tehillim shiur, on chapter 13, verse 6.

During the morning hours, a meeting took place in the Rebbe's holy home together with the rabbonim of the Vaad Shmiras Chomosayich, HaGaon Rabbi, the Rav of the Even Tzedek beis medrash shlit"a, member of the Beis Din; HaGaon R' Simcha Sholom Steinberger shlit"a, Rav of the Divrei Chaim beis medrash; the heads of the kehilla and the members of the Tznius Committee, headed by the HaGaon HaGadol, the Av Beis Din shlit"a. They discussed at length the major takanos and improvements regarding tznius for women in Kiryas Joel. Afterwards the Rebbe signed the takanos, and honored the HaGaon HaGadol, the Av Beis Din shlit"a, to sign as well.

In the afternoon the Rebbe went up to the Heichal HaYeshiva, Divrei Yoel branch, where the Rebbe learned with a chavrusa from among the talmidei hayeshiva in his private room.
