Wednesday, Parshas Vayeira — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe shlit"a davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. Before davening, the Rebbe laid tefillin for the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Dovid Meir Schwartz.

After davening, a bris took place for a newborn son of R' Avrohom Yitzchak Teitelbaum, at which the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
Afterwards, a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochur and the baal habris in the heichal of the beis medrash.

In the afternoon, at around 6:30, the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

In the evening, the Rebbe shlit"a officiated at kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim R' Avrohom Shmuel Aron (of Williamsburg) and R' Yoel Feierstein, at Kinor David Hall.

The Rebbe davened Maariv at around 7:30 in his holy home. After Maariv, the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the halls of the shopping center for the Sheva Berachos celebration arranged by HaGaon HaGadol, the Av Beis Din of Kiryas Joel shlit"a, in honor of the marriage of his granddaughter, the kallah, daughter of his son HaRav R' Yoel Berkowitz shlit"a. A lengthy conversation developed in words of Torah and pilpul about matters of marriage and about the difficult situation in Eretz Yisroel. The Rebbe tasted the food and fish, drank a lechayim, bestowed his holy blessings, and went out dancing with the chassan and the mechutanim, and afterwards danced an extra dance with the dayan shlit"a.

From there, at around 8:25, the Rebbe shlit"a went over to the halls of Keren V'Yoel Moshe, where a Sheva Berachos celebration was held in our holy courts, arranged by the Rebbe shlit"a, to which dozens of sofrim from the Agudas HaSofrim of Kiryas Joel were invited. The Rebbe washed, and HaRav HaGaon R' Wolf Aharon Teller shlit"a, director of Mivtzar HaKollelim of Kiryas Joel, spoke and presented the many beneficial activities of the Agudas HaSofrim, which was founded with the blessing and encouragement of the Rebbe shlit"a.
During the seudah, several sofrim stood up and asked the Rebbe shlit"a various guidance and rulings relevant to sofrim. The Rebbe answered and discussed them with sound reasoning and insight, and in that context spoke about various new hiddurim in matters of STa"M and discussed all sides at length.

The Rebbe shlit"a delivered words of Torah about the simcha of a chassan and kallah and about the importance of sofrim, and bestowed abundant blessings.
Afterwards, the Rebbe stood up and danced with the entire crowd around the hall.

The first berachos: HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Aharon Shmuel Dushinsky shlit"a, Rosh Yeshiva of Beis Yosef Tzvi Dushinsky, Yerushalayim. The final berachah: HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Yoel Yaakov Dushinsky shlit"a, Rabbi of the Dushinsky kehilla in London.
The event ended at around 11:40.
