Thursday, Parshas Balak — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, before Shacharis, the following brissim took place:
The son of R' Leibush Farkash, where the Rebbe served as sandek and mohel.
The son of R' Yoel Berel Apfel, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Heichal HaMesivta, Beirach Moshe branch. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
The bochur Shalom Yosef Levinger.
The bochur Meir Moshe Spitzer.
The bochur Yoel Berel Epstein.
During the Torah reading the Rebbe went up for Hagbah. After davening, he reviewed a sugya from the yeshiva's shiurim. Afterwards a lechayim was held with the bar mitzvah bochurim in his private room.

After Shacharis, the Rebbe paid a shiva call to HaGaon R' Nesanel Liebermann shlit"a of Bassermin, on the passing of his brother a"h.

During the morning hours, talmidim of Yeshivas Beis Avrohom of Lakewood, under the leadership of Rabbi Tzvi Baum shlit"a, came in to the Rebbe. The Rebbe listened to their learning, and the bochurim then went over to receive a blessing from the Rebbe.

In the evening the Rebbe officiated at the kiddushin at the chuppah of the mechutanim R' Yechezkel Shraga Katz and R' Dovid Zecharia Roth, at Ulam Kinor Dovid.

The reception hours were from 8:30 until 1:30 at night, in his holy home on Ohel Court.

Around 9:10 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home.

During the reception hours, a meeting was held with the Rebbe together with the leadership of the Chevra Kadisha of our holy kehilla, where various questions and matters were discussed, on which the Rebbe gave his holy directive.
Also coming in to the Rebbe were the leadership of the holy kehilla of Kiryas Joel together with the askanim of the 27th new beis medrash in Kiryas Joel, on Jackob Street in the Divrei Yoel neighborhood, to receive his holy blessings on the occasion of the opening of the beis medrash's doors this Shabbos. The Rebbe heard a report, then named the beis medrash "Beis Medrash Imrei Noam," and bestowed his blessings.

The Rebbe shlit"a read the tena'im in his holy home for the following mechutanim:
R' Shimon Stern – R' Eliezer Zusia Reis.
R' Mordechai Yitzchok Katz – R' Yaakov Yosha Kahana.

The Rebbe davened Maariv around 12:45 and then continued receiving the public.
