Friday, Erev Shabbos Parshas Balak — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a
The Rebbe davened Shacharis in Beis Medrash Noam Elimelech Lizhensk together with the Yeshiva Ketana, Ahavas HaTorah branch, of our holy mosdos in Williamsburg, under the leadership of HaGaon Rabbi Yechiel Michel Sekula shlit"a. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
The bochur Yoel, son of R' Zecharia Roth.
The bochur Avrohom Binyomin Zev Spitzer.
After davening, the talmidim of Shiur Aleph came into his private room together with the maggid shiur, the grandson of the Rebbe, HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Ashkenazi shlit"a, where the Rebbe tested the bochurim on Shulchan Aruch, the halachos of Birkas HaPeiros, which they had learned in the yeshiva.
Afterwards a lechayim gathering was held in the hall of the beis medrash. Several nigunim were sung, and the Rebbe drank lechayim and blessed the maggidei shiur, the bar mitzvah bochurim, and all the talmidim of the yeshiva. He conveyed in his holy words that the years of bochurishe youth are the most important years of life and that one must see to acquire a love of Torah ("Ahavas HaTorah"), and he spoke words of guidance, saying that he hears wonderful reports back from the yeshiva, and concluded with his holy blessing.
The Rebbe then distributed his sefer Lev Aharon on Bamidbar to all the talmidim of the yeshiva, and afterwards walked home to his holy home.
In his holy home, R' Avrohom Brach of Williamsburg came in, who had just returned from his visit to Eretz Yisroel among our holy kehilla in Yerushalayim and Bnei Brak. He gave a report on the construction work on the great Tel Talpiot building of our kehilla and mosdos in the holy city of Yerushalayim, where last week the actual excavation work on the site began, and on the completion of the magnificent building of the Beis Chinuch for Girls, Bnos Eretz Yisroel, of our mosdos in Bnei Brak, which is nearing completion of construction. The Rebbe inquired about various details and bestowed his blessings.
