On Motzei Shabbos, the grand dinner took place for the benefit of the holy 'Mosdos Kiryas Yoel', with its 12,500 children, bli ayin hara, may they continue to multiply, in the gigantic Beis Rochel auditorium with its added galleries, in the presence of thousands of residents of the city of Kiryas Joel, headed by the mara d'asra and president of the mosdos, the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a.

At about 10:50 the Rebbe shlit"a entered the dinner. The chairman, R' Aharon Yosef Landau, continued the proceedings and called upon the director of the mosdos, R' Meir Hirsch, to deliver the report of the mosdos.

Afterwards the Rebbe shlit"a delivered holy words and the call of the hour, first with words of aggadah on the parsha, and then spoke at length about the great success of 'Mosdos Kiryas Yoel', which is the largest mosad in the entire world in quantity and quality! With its more than 12,500 students, boys and girls. He praised all parts of the mosdos, and especially the new introduction of the tznius uniforms among the students of Beis Rochel. He spoke about the tremendous expansion of the borders of holiness of 'Mosdos Kiryas Yoel', with its existing 18 mighty buildings, and about the two new mighty fortresses currently being built for Beis Rochel and for the Talmud Torah. He said: "I myself bought a classroom in the building," and he encouraged and urged the members of the kehilla to join as partners and also buy a Shabbos apartment, so that the buildings can be completed.
The Rebbe continued about the expansion of the borders of holiness of the city of 'Kiryas Joel', the center of town and also in 'Kiryas Joel HaMeches', where thousands of apartments are being built and will be built over the coming years. No one needs to worry that he will not have apartments for his children. He also reinforced the takanah that was enacted that the price should not be more than $300 per square foot, and efforts continue so that this becomes the reality for all apartments without exception. People should have sense and wait until prices stabilize. He also demanded that regarding the apartments in Kiryas Joel HaMeches, where land prices are much cheaper, no more than $250 per square foot may be asked! Soon, when the areas are annexed to the village in KJ, only areas from people who cooperate and do not sell at higher prices will be taken, since it is not right to extract money from the public. Therefore, investors should take this into consideration and not buy land now at high prices, since it will not be worth that much in a few years. To conclude his words, the Rebbe urged preparing for the holy Yom Tov of Chanukah and learning through the kedushos for Chanukah in the holy sefer Kedushas Levi, as in the previous year, through which one can feel a taste of the Yom Tov and of the holy mitzvah of lighting the Chanukah candles. He concluded with abundant blessings for the leadership of the mosdos and for the entire public.

The Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the entire public well. The event ended at about 12:20.

At about 1:00 the Rebbe came out in front of his home, where the levaya of the bochur-in-years R' Avrohom Dovid Wagschal z"l, of the distinguished members of our holy kehilla in Monsey, passed by, and the Rebbe accompanied the levaya to the end of the street.
