Monday, Parshas Vayeitzei - Bnei Brak 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

At around 9:15 the Rebbe shlit"a entered for Shacharis davening in our great beis medrash together with many chassidim.
- Baal tefillah: R' Elikum Yuda Greenwald.
- Kohen: the Shabbos guest HaRav R' Shmuel HaKohen Friedman.
- Levi: HaGaon Rabbi Yushe Hersh Yazshef shlit"a, moreh tzedek in our holy kehilla in Bnei Brak.
- Shlishi: the Rebbe shlit"a.
- Hagbah: the Shabbos guest HaRav R' Chaim Shlomo Fisher.

After davening the Rebbe returned to the guest residence.

At around 3:15 the Rebbe went to pay a visit to HaGaon HaGadol Rabbi Moshe Shaul Klein shlit"a, rav of the Ohr HaChaim neighborhood in Bnei Brak. A lovely conversation ensued in Torah matters and in matters of mezuzos. HaGaon Rabbi Moshe Shaul shlit"a gave the Rebbe shlit"a his sefer Vayakhel Moshe and honored the Rebbe shlit"a with a lechayim, and the Rebbe bestowed upon him from his holy blessing. He then accompanied the Rebbe shlit"a out.

From there the Rebbe went to visit the office of the city rabbanim of Bnei Brak, with the city rabbanim HaGaon R' Chaim Yitzchak Eizik Landau shlit"a and HaGaon R' Shevach Tzvi Rosenblatt shlit"a. A longer conversation ensued about kashrus in the city of Bnei Brak and all the rabbinic functions, and about the mehudar Arizona wheat which the Rebbe shlit"a introduced for use, and how HaGaon HaRav Landau z"l once came to cut in America, with personal effort, in order to have of the mehudar wheat that has no concerns, and how he was particular to go up personally onto the combine at the harvest. The city rabbanim honored the Rebbe shlit"a with a lechayim, and the Rebbe bestowed upon them from his holy blessings, and invited the city rabbanim to come visit Kiryas Joel to see the splendid, clean, well-maintained city. They accompanied the Rebbe shlit"a out.

Afterwards the Rebbe went to the home of HaRav R' Yitzchak Eizik Weiss, where the start of writing a new Sefer Torah took place, which is being written by HaRav R' Yitzchak Eizik. The Rebbe wrote in the first letters, drank a lechayim and bestowed from his holy blessings.

At around 4:30 the Rebbe went to our beis medrash in Zichron Meir, where a reception was held by our kollel, Kollel Eitz Chaim, in honor of the nasi of the kollel, HaGaon HaTzaddik, rav of our kehilla, brother of the Rebbe, 15 shlit"a.
Upon arrival the Rebbe davened Mincha; baal tefillah: R' Yisroel Elimelech the son of Shimon Rotte.

After Mincha the reception gathering took place in the hall of the beis medrash. R' Shaul Yechezkel Schwartz spoke and greeted HaGaon HaTzaddik the nasi of the kollel shlit"a. Then HaGaon R' Michel Friedman shlit"a, rosh hakollel and av beis din of our holy kehilla in Bnei Brak, spoke; he welcomed the Rebbe shlit"a together with the nasi of the kollel shlit"a on behalf of the kollel's learners and brought out the virtues of Kollel Eitz Chaim. He expressed great thanks to HaGaon HaTzaddik the nasi of the kollel shlit"a, who personally goes around every day collecting funds for the kollel and ensures that the stipends arrive on time, and for the special stipend in honor of Yom Tov.
Then the nasi of the kollel, HaGaon HaTzaddik, rav of our kehilla, 15 shlit"a, spoke. He began by saying that on Shabbos, when the Rebbe shlit"a said that one cannot leave Meron without taking upon oneself a good resolution, he took upon himself to add a supplement to the stipends for the learners of the kollel. He spoke of the special affection of his father, the holy Rebbe, the Beirach Moshe zy"a, for Kollel Eitz Chaim, and thanked the kollel's donors from abroad, especially HaRav R' Refoel Perlmutter of Eretz Yisroel in Monsey, who devotes himself with heart and soul to the kollel. He concluded with warm blessings for the Rebbe shlit"a and for the entire public.

The Rebbe drank a lechayim and wished well to his brother HaGaon HaTzaddik shlit"a and to the rabbanim and learners of the kollel, and delivered a lengthy shiur in the sugya and pilpul on the topic of mitzvah haba'ah ba'aveirah. He then continued with guidance for the kollel members, particularly about learning before davening, and spoke in praise of his brother HaGaon HaTzaddik shlit"a, who takes the burden upon himself and personally raises the enormous sums for the kollel with wondrous self-sacrifice, and concluded with his holy blessing. It ended at around 6:10.

From there the Rebbe went to visit HaGaon HaGadol R' Shmuel Eliezer Stern shlit"a, rav of western Bnei Brak. A splendid conversation in halachic matters ensued. He honored the Rebbe shlit"a with a lechayim and the Rebbe bestowed upon him from his holy blessing, and he accompanied the Rebbe shlit"a out.

From there the Rebbe went to visit HaGaon HaGadol R' Yaakov Meir Stern shlit"a, rav of the Kehillas Yaakov neighborhood in Bnei Brak. A lovely conversation ensued. He honored the Rebbe shlit"a with a lechayim and the Rebbe bestowed upon him from his holy blessing, and he accompanied the Rebbe shlit"a out.

At around 7:40 the Rebbe arrived at our great beis medrash in the Kiryas Yoel neighborhood for the hachnasas sefer Torah. The Rebbe took the sefer Torah and danced with holy fervor for an extended time, and stopped especially to dance next to the children for a while. He then honored his brother, HaGaon HaTzaddik, rav of our kehilla, 15 shlit"a, to dance with the sefer Torah, and afterwards the Rebbe recited "L'Dovid Mizmor" as is customary.

Afterwards a lechayim gathering was held in the hall of the beis medrash on the occasion of the hachnasas sefer Torah in memory of our holy Rebbes zy"a, and on the occasion of the start of writing a Sefer Torah by our holy kehilla in honor of the Rebbe shlit"a. Dveikus niggunim of Torah were sung for an extended time with great inspiration. R' Nachman Baruch Schiff shlit"a spoke, expressing the necessity of completing our great beis medrash and thanking the philanthropists and donors from abroad, especially HaRav R' Yoel Bernath of Kiryas Joel, member of the building fund committee, who works with heart and soul to raise the large sums to glorify and elevate our great beis medrash.

The Tchernobil Rebbe shlit"a also participated in the lechayim. The Rebbe honored him with a lechayim, bestowed upon him from his holy blessing and accompanied him out at the end.

The Rebbe wrote in the first letters in the Sefer Torah, drank a lechayim, delivered a holy blessing and wished well to the entire public.

It ended at around 9:30 and the Rebbe returned to the guest residence, in the home of HaRav R' Yitzchak Baruch Ilovitch a"h, where entry times for kvitlach were held for the chassidim residing in Bnei Brak, as a long line formed according to a special order, to be remembered for salvation and mercy.

Among others, several of the elder rabbanim, the geonim roshei kollel of Kollel Chelkas Yaakov Breish, entered for kvitlach and invited the Rebbe shlit"a to come to the kollel to deliver a shiur in sugya and pilpul. A lovely conversation ensued and the Rebbe bestowed upon them from his holy blessings.

One of the chassidim also entered and brought the Rebbe shlit"a a bottle of oil that was tevel, giving the Rebbe shlit"a the merit of separating terumos and maasros from his own property. The Rebbe acquired it properly, then recited a blessing with Hashem's name and kingship and separated terumos and maasros properly, thanked him greatly for giving the merit, and warmly bestowed upon him from his holy blessing.

A group of chassidic parents whose sons are in danger because of the bitter decree of the draft, after receiving a draft order from the Zionist government, also entered for kvitlach. The Rebbe shlit"a gave guidance and wished, with his holy blessings, that they be saved from the decree with ease.

 At around 11:15 the Rebbe davened Maariv at the guest residence; baal tefillah: the bochur Anshil Ilovitch.

After Maariv the Rebbe continued receiving chassidim until around 12:30.
