Report on the Hachnasas Sefer Torah Celebration #3

"And he made that day a day of feasting and joy"
"And Aharon raised his hands toward the people and blessed them"
"And he said to me: This is the table that is before Hashem"

After Mincha, the seudah of Lagmara shel Torah was set up for the broad public, in particular for "Ahavas Kadumim" in the Polish shul, in the great beis medrash for the avreichim and baalei batim, and in the Mivtzar HaKollelim for the choice bochurim in the Heichal HaTorah. During those hours, tens of thousands of Yidden came to extend wishes of mazel tov to the great baal simcha, the Rebbe shlit"a, as the lines stretched out into the street as far as the "Cheder David," where the Yidden entered with holy trembling to wish mazel tov.

At the time of Maariv, Maariv was davened with a vast crowd in the Heichal of the beis medrash, while awaiting the arrival of the great baal simcha and leader of the community. After Maariv, HaGaon Rabbi Avrohom Mordechai Malach, the badchan, performed with words of humor in honor of Shushan Purim. At around 7:30 the Rebbe arrived in the beis medrash, where they once again set out in fiery dancing in the joy of the Torah. The Rebbe washed for the Seudah of Lagmara shel Torah and the Shushan Purim seudah. During the seudah, the singer R' Yisroel Adler presented warm rhymed verses in honor of the Torah.

In the holy words that followed, which included lengthier words of Torah discourse and pilpul on the topics of Hachnasas Sefer Torah, the Rebbe once again davened with a heartfelt request: "Please, Hashem, save us; please, Hashem, grant us success," that we may sit in the house of Hashem all the days of my life and be engaged in Torah, and a request for his children and grandchildren: "May my offspring and the offspring of my offspring be talmidei chachamim." "One who attaches himself to those who perform a mitzvah is considered as one who performs the mitzvah." The Rebbe then said that all the participants are like those who perform the mitzvah, and that all the blessings and segulos will also apply to one who attaches himself to those who perform a mitzvah. The Rebbe then mentioned the difficult year that has passed upon Klal Yisroel, which began a year ago, and he brought out in praise the mesirus nefesh of Yidden in fulfilling the mitzvos, learning and davening with a minyan, despite all the difficulties, when the batei medrash, yeshivos and schools for boys and girls were closed. The Rebbe said in a voice choked with tears: "...I remember I came into this building in those difficult times when it was closed. I cried here in the beis medrash, where 2,000 Yidden daven Shacharis every day, learning and davening, Torah, avodah, gemilus chassadim. I came into the beis medrash and it was locked and sealed. The heart was torn." After a year, it must be brought out in the merit of the Jewish children who fulfilled the mitzvos of Hashem with mesirus nefesh. He then gave lengthier holy blessings, especially for the Yidden who need to be helped with lasting offspring, connected to the topics of Hachnasas Sefer Torah.

R' Yisroel Adler then once again sang rhymed verses about the "Minchas Bikkurim" that was presented to the Rebbe in honor of the day of his heart's joy: over "sixty thousand consecutive hours" of learning from thousands of bochurim of the community in every place, good kabbalos from over "two and a half thousand" talmidim of grades 6, 7 and 8 in our holy mosdos, and good kabbalos from over "five thousand" students of Beis Rochel in our holy mosdos. These were presented as a Minchas Bikkurim to our father and shepherd, the glory of the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a, on the occasion of the day of his heart's joy at the celebration of the "Hachnasas Sefer Torah."
These are the finest gifts to present to the tzaddik, to rejoice in his joy and to revive his pure soul: those who learn and review with the students steadily, "Torah, Torah and good kabbalos"!!!
The Rebbe then delivered holy words. In them the Rebbe mentioned the greatness of the gifts of the students, who are called "banim," and honored all the Yidden who have already fulfilled the mitzvah of writing a Sefer Torah to gather funds for the Rebbe's fund "Avnei Chessed," as every year at the Shushan Purim tish. The badchan, Rabbi Avrohom Mordechai Malach, then performed once again with words of humor.

Fortunate is the eye that saw all this!!! Fortunate are we!! Happy are we!!
Fortunate are we, how good is our portion, to be part of such a kehilla!! With such a Rebbe!!
"Fortunate is the people for whom this is so; fortunate is the people whose God is Hashem."

"The heavenly beings rejoiced and the lowly ones exulted at the receiving of the Torah at Sinai."

One who has not seen this joy has never seen joy in his life.

May it be Hashem's will that this joy bring abundant blessing to us and to all Yisroel!!
