Report
Wednesday, Parshas Ki Sisa – Shushan Purim 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

The Rebbe davened Shacharis in the Beis Medrash HaGadol. Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochur, the bochur Yehuda, son of R' Mittelman.
Baal Tefillah: HaRav HaChassid R' Chaim Yaakov Lebowitz.

After davening, the following brisos took place:
- Twins born to HaGaon Rabbi Yoel Heiman shlit"a, a moreh tzedek in our holy kehilla in Williamsburg, where the Rebbe was sandek and mohel.
- A son born to R' Hershel Zilberstein, where the Rebbe was sandek.
Afterwards a lechayim gathering took place in the heichal of the beis medrash. At the lechayim, Purim melodies were sung, and the Rebbe related stories of the holy Rebbes zy"a from the days of Purim, and wished blessings to the bar mitzvah bochur and to the baalei simcha and their families.

At around 4:15 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home on Route 105.

After Mincha, the Rebbe traveled into Williamsburg, where the Rebbe conducted his holy tish in honor of Shushan Purim in the midst of our holy kehilla.

At around 6:25 the Rebbe entered the Beis Medrash HaGadol for the holy tish in honor of Shushan Purim. The Rebbe washed for the seudah in honor of the day, and the foods were served as on Yom Tov; with the fish, a helzel was served as is customary.

During the tish, the singing and music continued at length, with drums and dancing.
Rebbe shlit"a honored the following with the zemiros:
- Asher Henia: HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Avrohom Mordechai Safrin shlit"a, Av Beis Din of Komarno in Boro Park.
- Shoshanas Yaakov: HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Moshe Friedman shlit"a, dayan and moreh tzedek of our kehilla in Boro Park.

During the tish, the Rebbe delivered words of Torah six times.
First Torah thought on the verse "Im al hamelech tov," explaining that Queen Esther drew down the attribute of Kel, which is chesed, and with this sweetened the judgments.
The Rebbe stood up and danced to "Shebishfeleinu zachar lanu" for an extended time with great fervor.

Second Torah thought on the verse "Eis tzarah hi l'Yaakov," explaining that because Klal Yisroel does not ask questions on Hashem, which comes from the merit of Avrohom Avinu, who did not ask a question on Hashem at the Akeidah, in that merit Hashem too does not ask any question on us and bestows all good.

Third Torah thought on the verse "Im al hamelech tov," explaining that through the Name Havaya, which points to "hayah, hoveh, v'yihyeh" (was, is, and will be), meaning that for Hashem past, present, and future are all one, Hashem joins the future good of Klal Yisroel, and we emerge vindicated in judgment.

Fourth Torah thought on the verse "Eis tzarah hi l'Yaakov," explaining that Hashem has the obligation of a husband to a wife toward Klal Yisroel and is obligated in all of a husband's obligations to Klal Yisroel.

Fifth Torah thought the Rebbe brought out that through doing chesed without asking questions, Hashem too bestows all kinds of blessings without questions. The Rebbe honored all those named Yitzchak to go up to the table to collect money from the public for the Rebbe's fund, the 'Kupas Avnei Chesed.'

Afterwards the Rebbe delivered the sixth dvar Torah and brought out that through doing chesed, a call of affection is aroused from Hashem to Klal Yisroel, and we merit "koreh lah vehi ba," and, chas v'shalom, there will be no need for striking with a stick. The Rebbe concluded with abundant blessings to the entire gathering.

Cabbage was brought in in honor of the day, after which R' Nachman Levy performed with Purim badchanus in honor of the day.

Afterwards the Rebbe recited Birkas Hamazon over a cup of wine, and it ended at around 10:15.

A few minutes later the Rebbe davened Maariv in the heichal of the beis medrash. Baal Tefillah: HaRav HaChassid R' Yoel, son of R' Hirsh.

After Maariv, the Rebbe went to be menachem avel R' Moshe Yaakov Shalaman and his son-in-law R' Yosef Shalom Goldberger, who were sitting shiva for his daughter, his wife a"h. HaGaon HaTzaddik R' Aharon Grunwald shlit"a, dayan of Papa, was present, and a pleasant conversation ensued about Purim customs.
Then, at around 11:00, the Rebbe set out on the way home to his holy residence in Kiryas Joel.
