Sunday, Parshas Naso, Rosh Chodesh Sivan — 'B'tzeil HaKodesh' with the Satmar Rebbe shlit"a

In the morning, a bris took place for the newborn son of R' Yitzchak Berkowitz, where the Rebbe served as sandek.

The Rebbe davened Shacharis at the Yeshiva Ketana branch Or HaChaim, under the direction of HaRav R' Yoel Farkash shlit"a.
Upon arriving at the yeshiva, the Rebbe entered the heichal of the beis medrash and looked around at the learning with great nachas.
Before davening, the Rebbe put tefillin on the bar mitzvah bochurim:
- the bochur Dovid Yuda Kohn.
- the bochur Yitzchak Chaim Shalilof.
- the bochur Hershel Steinberg.
- the bochur Shraga Chaim Feder.

The Rebbe went up to Hallel and was called up for the reading as the fourth aliyah.

After davening, a lechayim gathering took place in the heichal of the beis medrash. Several nigunim were sung, and the menahel shlit"a presented a kvitel from the entire yeshiva. The Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the bar mitzvah bochurim, the rebbeim and the talmidim of the yeshiva well, delivered words of Torah and chizuk to the bochurim, and bestowed many blessings.

At around 4:30, the Rebbe went to the home of R' Shimon Schwartz in the Chasam Sofer neighborhood in Kiryas Joel HaMuchrevet, where a banquet was held for the benefit of our new beis medrash in the Chasam Sofer neighborhood. R' Yoel Krausz, a member of the beis medrash's administration, and R' Dovid Eckstein of Eretz Yisroel HaKedosha spoke. Several nigunim were sung, and HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Yisroel Shalom shlit"a, rav of the beis medrash, spoke.
The Rebbe drank lechayim and wished the entire gathering well, and delivered words of Torah on the importance of supporting a beis medrash, spoke in praise of the donors, and concluded with many blessings for all the donors.

Afterward the host, R' Shimon Schwartz, spoke.
Then the signing of the pledge documents took place, in which R' Shimon purchased the merit of naming the building of the beis medrash. The Rebbe signed the documents together with the donor and bestowed his holy blessing.
Afterward, all the donors among the residents of the neighborhood who took upon themselves larger sums for the benefit of the beis medrash, bringing the total to nearly a million dollars, passed before the Rebbe shlit"a. The Rebbe signed the documents with each donor individually and bestowed his holy blessing.
Rabbi Berel Margaliot shlit"a, chairman of the committee for the expansion of the city's borders, also spoke. The Rebbe left the gathering at around 5:30 and warmly wished R' Shimon and his family well.

At around 7:00 the Rebbe davened Mincha in his holy home on Tzanz Street.

The entry times (zmanei kenissa) were held from 8:20 until 9:30 in the evening in his holy home on Ohel Street, designated especially for members of our kehilla who joined at the Rebbe's directive by giving a thousand dollars for the benefit of Mosdos Yatev Lev.

During the entry times, the writing of the letters for the Sefer Torah being written by R' Avrohom Shalom Landau took place. The Rebbe wrote in several letters, drank lechayim, and wished R' Avrohom Shalom and his family well.

At around 9:30 the Rebbe went down to the halls in his holy home, where the Rebbe read the tenaim of the mechutanim:
- R' Baruch Mordechai Reich and R' Hillel Rosenberg.
- R' Akiva Weiss and R' Yechiel Yisroel Baruch Eckstein.

Then at around 9:50 the Rebbe traveled to Monsey for the annual dinner "B'chol Levav U'Nefesh" for our holy mosdos in Monsey.
At around 10:30 the Rebbe arrived at the dinner in the halls of Valley Terrace. The Rebbe greeted the rabbonim present, and a presentation was given by R' Yaakov Hersh Zin together with several children, talmidim of our holy mosdos.
Afterward, HaGaon HaTzaddik, the Av Beis Din of Monsey shlit"a, spoke with a derasha.

The Rebbe delivered words of Torah and brought out that supporting the Torah learning of the Talmud Torah children is a proper preparation for Kabbalas HaTorah and brings down all good. He continued in praise of our holy mosdos, which grow from year to year in quantity and quality, all through the hard work of the rav shlit"a and the devoted administration of the mosdos. He urged all members of our kehilla to support the mosdos with a generous spirit and especially to help build the new buildings that are constantly being built. The Rebbe continued with words of guidance for the kehilla: Monsey is a large city, large in population and in opinions, with all kinds of people, and one must make sure to maintain the proper standard befitting a Satmar chassid, and to run the home as befits a Satmar chinuch, as we educate in our mosdos. He instructed the administration of the mosdos that someone who does not conduct himself as a Satmar Jew regarding tznius and the like, the mosdos are not obligated to accept his children. Likewise, he called upon all members of the kehilla to daven in our batei medrash. He concluded with preparation for Yom Tov Shavuos, and urged continuing the good custom introduced in recent years of learning for two hours before davening on the second day of Shavuos. Likewise, as preparation for Yom Tov Shavuos, one should learn the holy sefer Bnei Yissaschar in order to have a proper Kabbalas HaTorah. He finished with many blessings for the entire gathering.

It ended at around 11:30.
A few minutes later the Rebbe came to Maariv on the second floor of the beis medrash of Yeshiva Spring Valley. The baal tefilla was R' Aharon Hersh Weber, and the Rebbe counted Sefirah before the amud.

From there, at around 12:00, the Rebbe went to a mezuzah affixing and lechayim gathering at the Zvehil beis medrash, headed by the Zvehil Rebbe of Monsey shlit"a. The Rebbe looked around the beis medrash and the davening rooms, and then a lechayim gathering took place. A pleasant conversation about stories of tzaddikim ensued. The Zvehil Rebbe shlit"a honored the Rebbe shlit"a with lechayim from the cups of the holy R' Shlomele of Zvehil zt"l, and the Rebbe bestowed his holy blessing upon him.
Afterward the Rebbe went down to the lowest floor, where he looked around at the mikvah and the simcha hall. Then the Rebbe went up and affixed a mezuzah on the gate of the beis medrash and bestowed his holy blessing.
At around 12:20 the Rebbe traveled home to Kiryas Joel.
On the way, the Rebbe connected by phone to Williamsburg with the heads of the askanim of the board of baalei batim of Mosdos Yatev Lev, to hear a detailed report on the ongoing campaign for the foundation of Mosdos Yatev Lev. The Rebbe had tremendous nachas hearing the progress of the campaign in all areas, and bestowed his holy blessing on those engaged in the holy work.
